Guest Reviews
- Mackenzie (2/5): - Pool was broken.
- Elizabeth (2/5): - No working TVs, no parking, pillows were more like throw pillows, two different housekeeping people rushed us to check out well before checkout time.
- April (2/5): Do not stay!! - My family and i got to hotel at 2am from driving over 12 hours and took 45min to check in. Went to room and turn cold air on and never cooled our room. Tv didnt work in hotel they said it was from the storm. But the lobby tv was super cold and the tv was working????? I told the front desk and he pretty much told me to go f off. Very rude
- Benjamin (6/5): - I'm a grown man, but I do not feel particularly safe in this area of Wichita Falls.
- Ruben (2/5): - I need a refund. To say it was sketchy is the least. No TV, no WiFI, not even door lock. The room was supposed to be “none smoking” but it smell of cigarette. Flooring was half way missing. Seat was dirty and broken. I got assigned a ground floor and the “neighbor” next door walked outsize to check our belongings. The front desk guy told us they don’t provide remote control because they all got stolen. Bugs crawling inside the room. Linens with holes. Think the worst scenario possible, that was it. Even parts of the laminated floor was missing throughout the room. That place needs to shut down immediately.
- Alberto (10/5): - Always have a nice visit definitely gonna stay again in a few months
- Kevin (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful gave great information. Would recommend to others and will be staying again in the future.
- Caleen (10/5): - Was very clean
- Kellie (2/5): - There was no working TV no working phone the rooms we're not necessarily dirty but certainly didn't look clean
- Geacie (10/5): - Love it
- Elizabeth (6/5): Might rethink your stay being here - I just say that this is in a rough neighborhood, and the desk clerks are not very hospitalable, different service desk dealings and they both acted like they were being put out by my being there. Let's just say if you're an unhappy person then you won't mind the service or the dirty rooms.
- Roy barnes (2/5): - Dirty. Smoky rooms. Hookers
- Jade (2/5): - Extremely dirty
- david (4/5): - Needs a lot of work.
- Barbara (10/5): - I always stay here. That should speak for itself.
- Ruby (2/5): Hotel Hell - We arrived in the evening after dark and after driving for nearly ten hours. The night clerk was surly and took offense at every question we had. The room was difficult to find. The carpet was soaking wet, there was no night light, and the bathroom was tiny. No breakfast was served nor was coffee available the next morning.
- Barbara (10/5): Always a good stay - This is where I always stay in Wichita Falls. The staff is courteous and the beds are comfortable. You can't beat it for the price.
- Aaron (10/5): - Good
- Heather (8/5): - This motel says on Hotels.com that they offer breakfast but they only had free coffee in the morning.
- Terence (6/5): - Average hotel, but the price was good for the money. Good for 1 night passing through, but wouldn't spend your vacation here!
- Laureen (8/5): - Older property, kept clean, friendly staff
- Barbara (10/5): Comfort away from home - The people are always friendly and the beds are very comfortable with nice fluffy pillows.
- Jes (8/5): - I came, I slept, I left
- Michael (8/5): - Nice place to stay
- Teri (10/5): Great for the price - It’s an older hotel, but for the price, it was clean and a/c worked great.
- Cesar (6/5): - .
- nancyyU9491QQ (2/5): Bad customer service - The pillows were uncomfortable manager was rude when I showed up couldn't tell me when I was getting my deposit back and if I was getting it back she said had too many people and customers coming in to motelcome in there very rude and unpleasant
- christiansM7217FO (4/5): BLOOD ON COMFORTER - Absolutely disgusting!! Upon staying the first night, we noticed blood drops on the comforter I was sleeping under. So foul!!! Manager was very rude, short and made it seem like I was bothering her by bringing this to her attention and requesting a ONE night refund. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere cleaner!!!
- Joshua (6/5): Nice - Frindly staff, clean rooms my stay was very nice.
Thank you
- Stacy (10/5): - This is an oldie but a goodie. The room is big, bigger than you average hotel since it was built long ago. The. bed was comfortable, and the AC rocked and kept the big room nice and cold! Slept like a baby. Another thing I liked is that there was no carpet!
- Elvia (6/5): - Staffing good and the only thing I didn't like was
- Cristina (10/5): - Room was clean. Not a bad place to spend the night
- Laurie (2/5): - Guy at check in was rude. Should have been a sign. This hotel has a rat problem. Rat feces all over the floor. I never took my shoes off. The bed was clean. I use a black light to check bed. It was fine so I stayed there. Too tired to go somewhere else. Got ice from ice machine and poured a glass of soda with ice. Less than 24 hours later I was in ER with an intestinal infection.. I guess I’ll stick to nice expensive places like the Marriott from now on.
- America (6/5): - The room was hot, and the smelled a little funky
- Kevin (10/5): - It was every good hotel.
- Leticia (8/5): - Didnt like: hair in tub and laboratory, didn’t have a blow dryer, chairs fabric needs cleaning, were dirty, ( stained).
Did like: had Kleenex, 2 trash cans, towels were clean & folded, had a bath mat, desk clerks were nice, it was quiet.
- William (2/5): - Worst stay in my life
- Christina (4/5): - No hot water and quite a few bugs in the room. The outside check in at the window for after hours resulted in many mosquito bites waiting for the attendant to add on an unexpected deposit fee. Bed was comfortable.
- Ann (2/5): - It was great until the day before I left. The owner's son started harrassing me & accusing me of hiding dogs, I have one dog, & made me pay $15 for every day that we were there or we would have to leave immediately. When I booked the room I also made sure that my dog was welcome & all fees paid. But that changed the day before I checked out. My dog is 12 yrs old & is not a problem. The owner's son is a racist, he is Pakistani, and for some reason decided he was going to be a pain in my financial ass.
- Lawrence (8/5): Great especially for the price! - Indeed this might be an older hotel, but was nice. No bugs, comfortable beds, overall very pleased and worth the price. It might be a bit off the main arra but was quiet and safe and the staff was nice. I didn’t know they had a pool but my son used the pool and was very a big plus.. enjoyable!
- Chanda (10/5): - Place to stay in quiet and everybody nice and employees do their job the management got it everything under control
- Tony (8/5): - It was ok
- Leslie (10/5): - Quiet, comfortable room. Perfect for a restful stay.
- Llamma2 (6/5): Bare bones accommodation - The room is clean. Pillows are great. Plenty of outlets to charge devices. Tv works. WiFi works great. Front desk friendly. But, there is no breakfast only coffee in the lobby . No coffee maker in the room. No hair dryer. Nowhere to put a suitcase except on the floor or a small round table. Both of us used the floor. One chair in a room that sleeps 4. Vanity light works if bathroom light is on. Three story building with outside doors and no elevator. No restaurant nearby except for Arby’s. .
- Kim (8/5): - Rather plain, kind of old and rundown looking. Room stale smelly. Going to stay as I’m worn out from traveling but I wouldn’t recommend it.
- John (6/5): - There was a table in the room with no chairs. And it looked a bit dated. It was good enough for one night. Typical hotel room in Texas. Staff was very nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The Staff were GREAT, but the room we stayed in was not great. Killed two roaches the chair was stained, and overall just not good.
- robertbB4934UC (4/5): King Suite Fit For a Pauper - Our family reserved the King Suite for the added space and amenities that were detailed on the hotel's website. The pictures of the room in conjunction with the hotel's description certainly made it seem fit for a King. However, that was far from the case.
Cons:
The kitchenette area was filthy.
The cooktop had no knobs to operate the burners.
The shower/bath did not work due to a defective mixing valve.
Hairdryer did not work.
The carpet had sticky residue.
The pullout couch had torn and stained cushions with stuffing coming out.
No breakfast although it is pictured.
Pros:
Ice-cold air conditioning.
Full-size refrigerator.
Comfortable king beds.
Friendly front desk staff.
- Jose Maria (6/5): - Average place to stay
- Trevor (8/5): Nothing to brag - It was just a quick stay over fair nothing to brag on
- Charlee (10/5): Amazing - Staff were friendly and very helpful
Room was clean and nice
- Connie (10/5): - The staff was very helpful. We asked for clean towels Sunday and they apologized that their cleaning staff didnt work Sundays but they managed to clean our room anyway.
- Letica (10/5): - I like that it was affordable and they take pride in their property. They were very helpful. Thank you
- irma (8/5): - Just a place to rest up. Ac kept room nice and cool
- DANIEL (10/5): - This was our second time staying here, the room was clean and fresh. The pool was clean and ready to go swimming. Staff very friendly, next time we are going to stay here again. 5 stars
- Robert (8/5): Over priced - Nice clean hotel for its age. But this is a 50 dollar a night hotel and they jacked up price to 200 due to large event in town. But will stay again if get lower price
- Alain (8/5): - I was there for the Hotter N Hell bike ride, it’s less than a 1/2 mile from the start so that worked out perfectly.
- Bubble (2/5): - Dirty linen
- samia (8/5): overall acceptable - the stay was good , medium hotel with good personnel .
the only medium thing is that the hotel close to the roads , so trucks and cars passing by having loud running engine feels like with you in your room
- James (4/5): - Area is unsafe, old out dated furniture
- Jan (10/5): - The lady was fabulous. Very friendly and helpful
- Lee (4/5): - no stay here.
- Jennifer (8/5): - The ladies at the front desk were polite and helpful. They made sure our rooms were clean and helped unload a recliner from my truck to help my in laws with their stay.
- Michael (4/5): - Exery charges an billed my card 2 times
- Timothy (4/5): - Night staff very helpful and proficient, Looby is quite clean and modern looking. The room was dirty and outdated.
- Joyce (8/5): - It was very nice and clean the staff members were wonderful.
- Janelle (4/5): - I would not recommend, the first room we were offered smelled like cigarette smoke and had cockroaches and the second room we were offered had cockroach’s as well.
- Linda (10/5): Vacation - It wa great!
- Carly (10/5): - Clean property and friendly helpful staff.
- Todd (2/5): Find a different hotel - Lousy Management - Booked a non-refundable room at midnight with the incorrect date. Hotel booked me the night for the correct date, but then when I asked Hotels.com to cancel the incorrect date, the hotel manager would not agree to it. They effectively charged me for two nights, when I only stayed one. Tried to resolve but manager would not return calls or answer email. My advice, find another hotel!
- Danielle (2/5): - It was gross. And we saw a roach as big as my thumb.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mediocre Hotel - Room was nice and the pool was relaxing. There was a mix up and someone walked into our room in the middle of the night though.
- J (2/5): - There were people awake late arpund the property. It was very unsanitary. The rooms werent clean. We refused to use the tub which had bugs in it.
- Lee (10/5): Outstanding Service, Friendly People - Simple, nice, clean, comfortable and with summer heat over 100° daily thank goodness it was cool! Very nice people. Stay here, you'll like it.
- Iva (2/5): - Its really close to the rodeo arena but there are dangerous people in the parking lot that won't leave you alone if you don't give them money. Filthy, and the tiles fell off the wall when I was taking a shower. they also charged me a extra 25 dollars when checking in. DO NOT BOOk HERE.
- Janice (4/5): Service - Check in the desk clerk was not friendly and did not have a welcoming spirit. The sheets on the bed was not changed phone in the room did not work nor did the hair dryer
- Julie (8/5): - I had a nice stay
- Deborah (4/5): Don’t do it. - I won’t stay here again.
- Carol (2/5): - filth, poor condition of furniture, no amenities, no coffee even in the lobby
- Atalanda (8/5): - A little old, and I could see repairs to damage done in my bathroom, and the tub wasn't in great shape. The staff were great and I did get sleep for my road trip, so I was happy and just showered at my next stop.
- William (8/5): Soldier - Nice place
- Brian (2/5): - This review isn’t necessarily for the econo lodge. But for Expedia. I booked this when I got stuck Witchita Falls due to my car breaking down on May 15th and meant to book for that night. I had to book again through econo lodge and tried to call Expedia to refund the incorrect date that was booked in which was told only one hour after I booked that it was not refundable. Completely wrong and misleading. I would like to be contacted regarding this. (808)342-8126.
Best regards.
Brian Curnutt
- Marina (8/5): - Everything was excellent until AC unit was turned on. It worked fine but the air smelled like dirty socks. New filters are due
- Ellie (4/5): - The room had spackle all over the walls and the curtains were shorter than the window so people could see into our room. There was a big space under the door so all kinds of bugs got into our room. The WiFi was slow and they did not serve breakfast like the website said
- Jose (2/5): - The bathroom was very dirty
- TonyDijamco (10/5): "A Five Star Staff." - I am a stand-up comic and was doing a tour of Texas when I found myself looking for a place to stay in Wichita Falls, TX. I was calling hotels from the road and I happened to call the EconoLodge. And I am so glad I did.
The Econolodge has a convenient location in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The room was clean and spacious. it was ideal for a weary traveler in need of a hot shower and a warm bed for the night. The room was just what I was hoping for.
But where the EconoLodge really went above and beyond most hotels was with their five star staff. Sales Manager Troyce Dennis took care of all the arrangements with me over the phone. She was also there to greet me at the front desk. She got me checked in and off to my room in a jiff.
Shout out to her, Savannah (House Keeping), Lou (Security) and Mitesh (Owner). Not only were they absolute professionals, but they and bunch of the other staff from the EconoLodge actually came out to the show. They made my first trip to Wichita Falls, TX. a memorable one. Don't know the next time I'll find myself in Wichita, Falls, TX., but I do know where I'll be staying when I do. Thank you, Econolodge.
- Donald (6/5): - Desk clerk was helpful in fixing my reservation
- willthesoundman (2/5): Dirtiest, Hotel I have ever experienced - Passing through for one night stopped here to rest up. Paid for a Double King suite, got to the room the sheets were filthy, old French fries on the floor, cigarette ashes, cigarette wrappers, blood spots on the sheets. Asked to be moved. Got put in a room with two full size beds, tried to charge me same rate as the suite. Staff on duty was understanding did what they could, the blame here goes on the owner of this property. This place is a complete dump. Choice Hotels should be ashamed to have this as one of their properties.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - It was a fantastic stay with great people & a very clean & enjoyable hotel & room in particular. Fantastic job!
- Elena (2/5): Disappointing - The room was awful. The sheets and blanket shad burn holes all over them. The show was horrifying and the toilet seat has old pee and hair on it. I tried to reach the office into the next day about the issues nobody answered my 6-7 calls I went up to the office 3 times nobody was available or would answer the phone. So leave and come back and all my stuff is gone. When I go into the office the next shift is there, they tell me I'm not in there system and my room isn't paid for. I paid cash for two night when I checked in. Anyways they move us into another room and the shower is filthy needless to say I wasn't able to shower either nights
- Erik (2/5): Stay almost anywhere else or sleep in your car! - This place should come with a free antibiotic when you leave! The couch looked like a crime scene. There was NO continental breakfast as advertised. There was NO microwave as advertised. There was NO coffee/tea maker as advertised. What a disappointment! It's a good thing we were visiting our son at Sheppard AFB and didn't need to spend much time in the room. Horrible room condition from the walls to the bathroom door that wouldn't open because the tile floor was in such bad shape.
- Asad (8/5): - .
- Goldie (8/5): - I would love to see the continental breakfast back or take it off the web site's .
- Kenneth (10/5): - Beds were comfortably soft.
- Rebekah (2/5): - Do not stay here, just don't. I thought it would be a sufficient place to just lay my head down at night, but it was really dirty and unsafe. Yellow stains IN the sheets and pillows. Pee on the toilet and all around it. What looked like blood on the comforter and hair between the sheets. Unsavory characters staying there that took pictures and catcalled me.
- Nicole (2/5): Disappointed - Well everything was ok until I was woke up at 1 am with someone trying to get in my room. When I went to the front desk. I was informed that the person who checked me in didn’t complete his job. I first requested 2 rooms next to each other. While gone to talk to the desk someone came by my room talking to my 14 yo daughter. I didn’t feel that was appropriate. Granted they were trying to figure out what happened. Also for some reason my rooms were in a different area. Disappointing. Have stayed here several times last time I had issues and then this time… Don’t think I will stay here again…
- Trenice (10/5): - To be honest I use to come here back in the day when it was known for all the wrong reasons. I was lost for words when I showed up, out of the gate the place looks way better, the rooms DO NOT SMELL LIKE SMOKE AND THE OTHER AMENITIES WE'RE ALL ON POINT.
Shocker but needed; on site security guard who after speaking with him it's my opinion that not only was he nice, professional and easy to talk with his presence alone made my stay more comfortable.
Great Job EconoLodge for making the necessary adjustments needed.
- Isamari (8/5): - .
- Howard (8/5): - Excellent location. The property is in decent condition but it needs some TLC. We had three rooms. In one of them, the fabric on the two chairs in the room was badly torn. Walls in rooms needing touch-up painting where bumps by chairs or other things had taken off the paint. Because of those things, it looks like a property heading downhill.
- edward (8/5): The basics hotel - My stay at Econo Lodge was good. It was the perfect spot for my event located 2 miles from the hotel. All I wanted was a quick place to stay and it was quite decent. No issues.
