Guest Reviews
- Eric (9/5): -
- Linda (3/5): I definitely will not stay here again. - Not much. My shoes were sticking to the floor. Exposed electric wall outlet. Broken/non-working lamp. No chair with the desk.
- Nyiesha (10/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): Everything was exceptional. Mrs. Dot at the front desk was OVER the top kind and so very helpful!! - We didn't eat breakfast. We were in a hurry that morning. They did have muffins and such. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the room had a shower and not a tub. I only say that because I have a 10 year old. We made it work though. I'm not faulting anyone.
- Shirley (1/5): Can somebody say renovations. - Ms. DOT! The room smelled, there were flies throughout it. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet didn't flush properly. The floors were disgusting. The pictures when you Google it must have been at a different time because nothing was as it seemed. It was my first trip to Laurel and because of this motel, I have no plans of returning.

- Davin (6/5): - Exceptional staff, clean and comfortable, excellent value The smell of marijuana was everywhere
- Zandra (7/5): Overall it was ok I just played the video game despite my tv station wasn’t working - It was ok The tv didn’t work
- Hooks (8/5): -
- Marco (10/5): -
- Fay (6/5): It was just ok - Good location Very run down really don’t like carpet in hotels/motels, really makes them feel dirty
- Ronald (1/5): Bad company - I didn't like anything about the place. I have never been treated as bad as I was when I tried to check in. The lady at the desk told me that I would have to wait because the computer was doing something and she didn't know what to do if she stopped it. I said fine and asked where the bathroom was. She proceeded to tell me that I had to go to the gas station next door. She said there wasn't a public bathroom. I told her I was a paying customer and if she would check me in I would go in the room. I left and got a room at the property next door. Her name is Dot. I pray that nobody gets her ever. Read above remarks.
- Barbara (2/5): Totally disappointed. Big in the sink - see picture - Location was good The room smelled musty, there were water stains on the ceiling. The furniture was very old. Phone didn’t work, tv didn’t work at first. I had to go to office since phone didn’t work and was told when the lady behind the desk came to our room that we were supposed to have 2 remotes. She went and got the other remote. I asked her why the phone didn’t work and she said the building was struck by lightning and was lucky it hadn’t burned down. She wasn’t the least bit nice about anything. I will not ever go back there and I recommend no one else go there either.

- Terri (10/5): Great -
- David (7/5): - Coffee was good and the orange juice. The door to bathroom would not close.
A road crew was working on the street which disturbed our sleep. But that wasn’t your fault. The young man at the front desk was very friendly.
- Nyiesha (10/5): -
- John (8/5): - Better breakfast options but front office lady was very helpful and sweet.

- Christine (7/5): Fair stay for the price. - Proximity to downtown Difficult to pull in and out of the driveway.
Many brownish stains in bathroom area. Inside bathroom door surface and on wall by the sink. Offensive to us. Carpet had stains on it.
- Lorian (8/5): Pleasant. -
- Rebecca (8/5): Not bad - I appreciate it the staff's willingness to help accommodate my earlier arrival. The rooms are just old and dingy so even if you clean it it just smells , especially a smoking room
- Lesley (10/5): -
- Nadine (10/5): -
- Natalie (1/5): Never again. - Outdated. The bed was horrible as well as lighting. Location
- William (1/5): - Nothing Dorothy would not let us check in. We had to find another room and we're still waiting for our refund
- Jeff (7/5): -
- Nelson (5/5): Location of property was great. Was highly disappointed with facility. The pictures I saw on booking.com was not the pro - Location Property was not as it was represented on booking.com
- Anthony (10/5): - Clean property, comfortable bed
- Cheryl (8/5): Awesome - Mr Shaquille was very professional and helpful. Breakfast
- Jennifer (10/5): - It was great
- Sarah (4/5): - The room smelled like a pesticides was used right before the room was enetered. It smelled like that my entire stay. It could use an upgrade for sure. Like paint and new bedding. The mattress was super comfortable.
- Cheryl (8/5): We will come back and give awesome reviews. - Ms. Dot was very professional and knowledgeable, she’s so nice we’re always glad to see Ms.Dot. Breakfast
- Robin (8/5): - Hotel was older
- Teresa (8/5): Dot is a Gem. - Dot, the front desk clerk, is absolutely wonderful. Super friendly and helps in any way she can.
They have updated some things (ie. windows, showers), but there were several water stains on the ceiling and peeling paint in the bathroom area.
Also, there was an overwhelming smell of recreational "stuff".
Overall, we thought it was a nice stay and would stay again.
- Washington (1/5): I though it would be little better than what it was but it was clean - It was ok It was ok
- Nick (6/5): - It was reasonably priced, it's an older hotel and not very updated but the staff was super friendly and very welcoming
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very nice place. It's was easy access to lots of restaurants. The hotel was clean and relaxing
- Miguel (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - It was great the lady at the desk was so sweet and nice her name was dot
- james (8/5): - Easy to get in and out and around town.
- Lisa (4/5): - Tried to stay in a non smoking room and the smoke and mildew hit us as we walked in the door. We were unable to stay at hotel. Friend traveling with me highly allergic to smoke. Still waiting on call back from manager on refund
- Tamara (4/5): - Breakfast was horrible. Not a good variety at all very limited, I had to buy Breakfast everyday. My bathroom had hair on the walls.
- Kyle (4/5): - The place itself isn’t bad, the workers are decent, however the mini fridge was dirty, the tv remotes were sticky. The cleanliness
- STEVE (6/5): - The phone didn’t work and the toilet didn’t flush and they say breakfast but there was only cereal and hard donuts and mini muffins
- Kaniya (4/5): DO NOT RISK IT - When we first approached the room all the locks were not screwed in so I told my husband to close the door since i had the key to see if someone can enter the room without a key he closed the door and kicked the door……….. and it flew wide open. they would not switch is to a different room or give us a refund. The room smell like a wet a*s dog. mold all in the shower the lamps and other light fixtures was barely working i would not recommend 0/10
- Nyiesha (10/5): -
- Carey (4/5): - Couldnt sleep because of noise and music. Went to office and complained 3 times. Several other people complained. Lady at desk made several visits to the room. Finally was convinced to turn down music but it was after midnight. Room
- william (10/5): Great hotel - My stay here was quite nice. The rooms were cleaned everyday and look very nice inside. The customer service at the front desk, especially Mrs. Dot were very helpful and super friendly. I will definitely stay here in the future.
- Maureen (9/5): It suited our purpose - It was ok Some fresh fruit
- Arenethia (10/5): - The only thing they don’t have a pool
- Arenethia (10/5): - Only thing missing is a pool
- Alana (5/5): -
- Landon (2/5): - Had a non smoking room and it reaked of cigarette smoke. When I asked to move rooms I was denied. Will not be going back
- Michael (1/5): Very disappointing - The property was not able to accommodate our family leaving us with no hotel After booking in advanced upon arrival, we were not able to stay due to them not having the availability that it said they did
- June (3/5): Poor - Not much! When I asked for 3 more pillows the motel only had 1 extra pillow. I asked for a pillow case, and they didn't have one. The towels and washcloths smelled moldy. There was a large group of men sitting on the balcony drinking a lot of beer, etc., so my daughter, granddaughter and I didn't feel very safe, plus the office was often locked. I definitely won't be staying at any Econo Lodge again!!
- Natali (10/5): - The room was very large and clean. Everyone was quiet and to themselves. Put a towel down in the shower to prevent slipping. The beds were very comfy.
- Sandy (8/5): - Very clean, nice staff, very sparse breakfast.
- Elizabeth (5/5): Will not stay again - Great location to ball park Breakfast was horrible, cereal only no milk. Clearly the bed sheets had not been changed in room 222. There was a bottle cap from a water bottle under the fitted sheet.
- louis (10/5): - Good experience, lady at the front desk was very nice and I would stay there again
- Melissa (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Marsha (8/5): - Staff wasHelpful
- Deanne (6/5): - Fine for a shower and a sleep. Clean rooms, front desk helpful and friendly.
- Lisset (10/5): - I have been traveling with my 81 yo mom and this hotel was by far the best. It was close enough for us to walk everywhere. Breakfast was only thing she was not fond of, lacked fruits and flavored creamer. But was awesome place. Highly recommend.
- William (6/5): - TV picture was poor. Bathroom door would not close. AC was a little loud.
- roylynn (6/5): Laurel, MS - Laurel was Great!
But, Checked in, git everything out the car and walked in room, when my husband walked in, he said the carpet was wer, i said probly cold, not wet. But in morning it was wet, maybe from AC leak? We take showers (forgot my conditioner) and there was no conditioner. Went to sit and relax, realized it was a non smoking room, when i reserverd a smoking romm. Well to late now, im not moving everthing out the rome and into anoter room, so i didnt say anything until i checked out, after looking to see what the "Breakfast " looked like. Nothing appetizing or looked fresh.
- Desiree (9/5): It was decent to stay there. - Staff was friendly The tv wasn’t working at all had to watch on my phone
- April (9/5): Superb -
- Devry (8/5): - Ok
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ervin (9/5): Superb -
- Jesus (4/5): - The room was supposed to be non smoking, however the smell was so strong I could barely sleep. The toilet was dirty.
- Glenn (8/5): Good for the night. - I never understand why a middle-of-the road hotel always has a stigma. I would say the main thing people look for is cleanliness and upkeep. Is there a reason a lesser hotel can’t do that? The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure was amazing at the hot water lasted! However, the toilet seat was left up by whoever cleaned, the remotes were greasy, and the mirror looked like it had been wiped with a towel. Always makes me wonder how the rest of the room was cleaned?! Our main dislike was that the air conditioner has obviously leaked over time, making the room smell very musty. Even after the air had been on for a while, it’s still was musty. And they are one of these hotels that limit the air conditioner to drop no lower than 66°. So it never really dries out anything. All in all, it was decent for a one night stay.
- MISTY (4/5): Left without staying - I left without staying even though I had paid. Draw your own conclusions. I drove on and stayed at a different and much improved option.
- Denise (7/5): Good - To expensive
- Daniel (4/5): - First of all I ask her at 0500 for coffee. I was told it was served at 0600. Okay but a lot of workers and travelers leave at 0500 hours. This puts them having to make another stop.
When I made the reservation I was told I could buy protection and it was fully refundable. Well that was a lie.
- Matt (1/5): Will never stay at a econo again - location Breakfast, all the black mold in the bathroom, coffee, food bad go eat at McDonald's
- Ethan (4/5): - The rooms had a distinct musty smell to them. I felt that I was more dirty after showering there than I would be at home.
- Ronald (10/5): - The property @ eco lodge is a ok place to lodge, the staff is very friendly and courteous.
