I booked it because it was right on the lake and we could walk right from the room to sit outside with lake views. When the reservation was made, I booked 2 Queen SUITES. However, on arrival I was told they didn’t have suites. Everyone was disappointed, to say the least! We had 2 couples in one room, and 2 adults with 3 children in another. We were misled - big time. I was sent pictures of a suite - 2 of them when I made the reservation. I feel like I should be compensated somehow.

There was a small table with 2 chairs which was nice. The hotel rooms are a few hundred feet away from the highway, so there was very little noise. The view from the room was nice. The ice machine on our floor was not working.. There was big hole in the middle of the parking lot.

- Eloise (10/5): Traveling through St. Ignace, comfortable room, good location on the lake. - View of the lake was great, lovely sunrise. Quiet location, grounds and rooms were well groomed and comfortable. We had to wait outside to use the elevator as the area was like a wind tunnel, not enclosed in all sides and functions were in different buildings. We did not use the breakfast service, could not find it and was running late before its scheduled end of service time.

Hot tub was barely operational, jets seemed to be worn out and graffiti and residual on inside shows it had not been cleaned for a while. Pool was clean and nice however. Patio door did not lock!! Just the chain for security. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Bathtub was pretty stained and silcone around towel bars had some mold growing. Walls are pretty thin, so every shower turn on and toilet flush could be heard. Lakefront area is primarily stones not like what is pictured in the photos. Parking is difficult if you arrive back after dark. You have to park at the top of the hill and walk down. Ice machines were quite gross and slimy. Beds were sucken in the middle and not very comfortable. Staff was polite and i formative. With other options on the same street, I would not stay here again.

- O'Neal (10/5): Best value and great service! - This place is amazing, right off a little beach. If you have a balcony room you get to hear the lake waves at night, see the moon over the lake, and you wake up to a spectacular sunrise. Do not hesitate to stay here. Great value and phenomenal staff!

Breakfast could have been better, no cream cheese for bagels or condiments like salt, pepper, ketchup. Would have preferred more protein options. There was not enough parking for people in the rooms, the shepler ferry bus driver almost mowed me down (I have a limp so I'm slow) but other older folks noted the same thing.

We were able to ride our bikes to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Had a nice ride around the island and some shopping. Our room was clean and comfortable and thankfully air conditioned on such a warm stay. Very nice place.
