Guest Reviews
- Amy (10/5): - Salt Fork is beautiful! My son and I truly enjoyed our room, the pool, and hot tub. The food was yummy and service was great! The hiking trail was nice and we will be going back!! Thank you!
- Kimberly (10/5): - The food was excellent đ
- John (10/5): - The surrounding park is very beautiful.
- Suzann (10/5): - Everything was perfect! Cozy fireplace sitting areas, comfortable beds, lovely Christmas decorations. We loved it and can't wait to go back!
- Roberta (6/5): - Beautiful area. Wonderful staff. Room: area of carpeting worn and threadbare. Huge draft from patio door. Ceilings waterstained, stained. Beds and pillows very good and clean. Breakfast meal horrible. Sausage and egg sandwich with no sausage. Oatmeal like paste, brown sugar a hard rock.....stopped eating when hair was found. Apologized and took meal off bill. Lodge is a shadow of it's former self.
- Krystal (8/5): - Everything was perfect ,except for the loud lady next door to us! Couldnât sleep kept us up.
- paula (10/5): Very nice and friendly - Very nice lodge. We are sorry that we could only stay 1 night. We will have to schedule a longer stay.
- Christa (8/5): - Front desk staff was rude.. no trash bags in cabin. But the beds and view were amazing!!
- Robin (8/5): - Walk out patio was very nice. Air conditioner was noisy, not a consistent sound like good white noise can be. Things felt a little clammy or damp to me. Could do with better climate control. Overall it was a nice enough room, we had a comfortable stay. Could've done with a little upkeep. The amenities looked nice, but we didn't have time to partake. Employees were helpful.
- Sandra (4/5): - I have been going to the Salt Fork for many years and always had a wonderful experience. I was really disappointed that my room was not as clean as it usually was. I could not get ready in the bathroom due to poor lighting and the blow dryer did not work. The cooks quit in the middle of their shift and the Lodge did nothing to accommodate their guests. It was after 8pm and there was not anywhere to order from. Needless to say, guest went to bed hungry that night. Vending machines were empty and did not work. Tiki bar outside was shut down by the pool. I feel the staff are overworked and not enough of them. It seems to be the going trend now a days. I will return, but not this year.
- LuWayne (8/5): - Overall, this older property is well maintained. The pools are very inviting and well attended by real life guard. Did not make use of the bon fire pits, but they looked fun. Loved the paved trail to the lake. Tennis courts need updating.
- Michael (6/5): - Had really good time with all the options of things to do at the lodge and in the park. My room at the park was very dated and needs to be freshened up. The restaurant has very little food options he weekend we were there they seem to be very under staffed
- Brandi (10/5): - We had an excellent experience and were pleasantly surprised with the fabulous pool area!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location. Close to lake and golf course. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Decent sized arcade for kids as well. old rustic architecture in main building - lodge living!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Towels available at pool inside and out.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We left my girlfriend's bathing suite and we called 5 times and was promised someone would call us back. That dis not happen and we had to leave a message with the hotel manager and still have not heard from them. The room was dirty and the bathroom is outdated for the price we paid for the room. I got stung by bees by the pool because the trash was not empty on a regular basis. The pool was dirty and the life guards spend more time talking with each other and on the cellphones then at the people in the pool. Waiting times in the restaurants were absolutely long. The bathrooms in the main room stunk. The coffee by the check in was not refilled on a regular basis and when we went to the restaurant to get a cup of coffee we waited 25 minutes before anybody came up to ask what we needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I have stayed at the Lodge and cabins many times. It's always a good experience
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Being out in nature was wonderful. Needed to clean bathroom when we arrived.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a wonderful and relaxing time at our favorite lodge. It never disappoints and look forward to our next visit!
- Janice (10/5): - My family stayed at the lodge. (1 adult, 4 children). The beds were comfortable, the room/bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The balcony wood was splintering off in places, some in large pieces, which was a little dangerous when youâre out there in bare feet. The outdoor and indoor pools were both fantastic! I just wish the outdoor pool was open later than 8 for families. (Itâs open until 9 for adult only swim). We also enjoyed the game room. The beach was hard to find, itâs not clearly marked, but the beach and water were both clean and we enjoyed the two trips we took there during our stay. My biggest complaint was the lack of dining choices. Everywhere states that there are two options, the restaurant and the lounge. However, once you are there you see the sign on the lounge door which states you must be 21 to enter. That should be mentioned in the website, in the brochure etc. The only on-site dining option is the Timber Restaurant. Which doesnât have that big of a menu. And it is pricy! Plus there is a 3% beatification fee on every meal, which I never read about anywhere. The pizza was very good! And not that bad in price. The nearest restaurant not onsite that we found was in Cambridge about 1/2 an hour away. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and were happy at the lodge. I would go back and stay again. Also Iâd like to note that everyone we dealt with was nice and helpful as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The lodge is so welcoming and beautiful! Pool and other amenities are wonderful. Front desk and check in was amazing.Lounge and food/drinks wwere enjoyed by all!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - While we enjoyed our time at the lodge (Thursday- Saturday) it is not a place we will visit again.
First, I have no problem with rooms/decor being outdated. We didnât come for a fancy hotel experience. However, when we arrived our hotel room door was ajar and the cleaning lady said there was a flood/pipe/sewage back up the day before. While the room looked clean there was a smell in the air. It would have been nice of the front desk to give us a heads up. The bathroom was not clean (shower/toilet) and the peeling paint throughout the room was not appealing. We did like the patio (ground floor) and the beds were comfy.
Second, we came for the pool and of no fault of the lodge the weather was a bit cooler then usual. We tried to swim each day but the water was freezing. In talking with a lifeguard the pool is heated so I cannot for the life of me figure out why they would not have it heated over 4th of July with the forecast in the low 70s. My kids were chattering and we just couldnât spend the amount of time we intended in the pool. For someone just wanting to lay out it was he great - but with kids not reasonable. We did swim in the indoor pool two days and itâs very nice, but one doesnât hang around an indoor pool all day the same way. I didnât understand why there were no towels at the indoor pool and it made it super inconvenient (I think you had to go to the front desk - no clue why). We spent more time then we had planned in the game room because of the weather and l
- Jason (10/5): - All was great. Staff was very friendly except one lady which I didnât catch her name. Was very rude when I asked if I could get another pool pass band. We stayed 4 days and she expected me to where that all 4 days.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice along the lake so peaceful. Restaurant is very good. Lodge and cabin are very nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect for a quick getaway to relax or engage in outdoor activities across the state park!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the golf course, pools , marinas !
- Richard (10/5): Nice getaway - Ohio State Parks provide great opportunities for a getaway. The somewhat remote location provides the serenity and peacefulness while also providing entertainment activities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a great time with family and friends for my 50th birthday. Loved our deluxe king suite. With no fault of the staff because of Covid some amenities werenât open. The only complaint any of us had was the bartender was not friendly and shut the bar down early, and we were spending a lot of money which effected her tip. Other than that not one complaint. Great experience đ
- Ingrid (10/5): Our stay in Salt Fork Lodge - 1. Access to a wide selection of outdoor and indoor activities that we can chose from.
2. The park's reputation as far as Bigfoot is concern, my husband is very fascinated by the myth.
3. The proximity of its location from home. Easy drive on I-77.
4. If one wants to be with nature, then Salt Fork State Park is the place to be as there's not a lot of park tourists compared to Hocking Hills and Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
5. Big menu selections, besides burger! I can't imagine eating burger for 2-3 days in a row!
6. The dining room capacity is important to me, also. There's enough tables for everybody when we all need to social distance from others. The waiting time for our orders were also fast and quick.
7. The wine slushies! They are to die for! I love them so much! I can't decide which one among the 4 choices is my favorite.
8. Overall friendliness and hospitality of staff from the front desk, housekeeping, bartender and servers. To specify, the chief of engineer took his time to answer our several inquiries. We have been to several hotels, resorts, another Ohio state park lodge, but only in Salt Fork lodge that a representative took his time to show us around the lodge and to personally email me back!
P.S. I wanna talk more about the front desk ladies. This was our second stay in Salt Fork lodge and second lodge we stayed in, but the front desk ladies introduced and offered us the Rewards program as well as a map to Bigfoot sightings. They really are knowledgeab
- Marshall (10/5): Beautiful location - Park is beautiful. Lodge and cabins are as well.
Beds were a bit uncomfortable so I didnt sleep great. Then i got bit by a couple spiders or something in my bed. Over was clean and sanitized but the floors could have been swept better.
Overall a magical weekend.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We have stayed at Salt Fork multiple times, usually every other month at the cabins. We love the cabins for the fishing access and kitchen. This cabin was not up to par for a lakeside cabin. There were 3 cups, zero spoons, one pan and one small pot. I went to town to buy silverware and a pot to cook corn on the cob, this is the first time I had to buy these things. There was no roller sweeper in the cabin. Saturday there were way too many people in the pool and the front desk did not care, she became very snotty about it. Her personality was Zero. Seemed bothered with questions. We have a second frequent visit card started that is how much we come, very disappointed this time around.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - If you want to travel back into the 1980s this place is for you! Bed were comfortable. Decor needs updated badly. Place needs a deep clean too. Staff wasnât friendly - maybe they were having a bad day. Poor was disgusting- more like the YMCA. Hot tub was tiny with kids jumping in and out. No life guard in duty. No covid precautions were taken either.
We were given wrist bands for the pool - no one was even checking for them.
On-site restaurant was nothing to write home about. Basically cafeteria food.
No room service. Toilets were gross.
Would not return to the lodge.
Surrounding property was beautiful. Iâd come here to camp for sure.
- ALAN (10/5): Great stay-cation spot. - Great location. Perfect stay-cation spot. Lots to do. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Attention paid to cleanliness.
The only two issues are check-in is late at 4 and check-out is early at 10. The second issue, which is uncontrollable by the hotel, is that the ticks are really thick on the trails right now.
- Harold S. (10/5): Salt Fork Lodge - We will definitely be going back!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Dining options are limited. Bring your own food/ snacks. Otherwise peaceful and great scenery. Friendly staff.
- Michele (8/5): 3/12/21 - We really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and it was clean. The matress was a little lumpy and we both woke up with a sore back. But overall it was a good trip and we would stay here again.
- James (6/5): Dirty - Cabin was dirty. Dirt on floors, table, beds
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful location and beautiful wooden lodge. Some work on the grounds is needed between the rooms and the lake. Some recent construction left it unsightly. Most staff were friendly, but did encounter one agent that was not so nice during check in. Nearby trails are in good condition.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Did not have to leave the property to have a drink and to get something to eat.
- John (8/5): - The rooms are nice but dated. They have everything you want but the rooms just don't have what you want when you pay that price. It took a very long time for the water to get warm. It was never hot. It was not worth the shower if you can avoid it! No hot water! But we are going to have breakfastâ¶
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The park is beautiful, and there are lots of activities on site as well as in the surrounding areas
- Deborah (8/5): Nice weekend getaway. - Our stay was awesome. The cabin was a little outdated but was nice. It had a musty smell and could have been a little cleaner. Our cabin had an amazing view. Overall it was a great getaway for my family. The value for the price was good. The lodge was nice and everyone was friendly. We plan to stay again soon.
- Katharine (10/5): I'll be back! - My stay was lovely and every staff member went above and beyond to be helpful, including the registration person, the server in the restaurant, etc. It was so nice to have two sinks, and a microwave and fridge. And the place was spotless.
My only complaints are quite mild: one corner of the room was pretty dark (could use a standing or wall light) and the in-room coffee-maker was on the struggle bus--spewed a lot of coffee as it brewed (easy enough to wipe up).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We liked everything. Can't wait to come back and stay longer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great stay as always! Beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to spend some time while our furnace was being repaired.
- Bonnie (6/5): Okay stay...could've been great! - The lodge is gorgeous. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are overall nice enough. The lounge was out of almost every brand of beer, the bartenders were gracious and apologetic. The pizza was delicious. The breakfast at the restaurant was good enough, the staff there were mildly rude. Should've been an amazing overnight in these cozy surroundings...wish it wouldve been.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Salt Fork is a very rustic lodge with a modern touch. Reataurant and bar on sight as well as a great gameroom and pool area compliment the atmosphere. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. I went in October 2021 for my brotherâs wedding and just visited again Dec 26-29. Love it and plan to return again in a couple months.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cabins were cozy and the view wonderful. Bald eagle sighting. The snow was beautiful however shoveling of the snow could have been timelier(credit due, it was Christmas Day) but a clean up crew instead of one poor guy with shovel for all those cabins would have been better.
- Eddie (10/5): Family trip - It was wonderful, staff was great, room very clean and comfortable... Totally enjoyed time there
- Eddie (10/5): Salt fork - The room was perfect, bed very comfortable, room very clean, only negative was bathroom was small. Was still a very comfortable stay.
- Muk (4/5): - rooms in serious need of updating. cost not worth the value you get. most of staff was unhelpful and acted like they couldn"t be bothered with your requests. my wife and I had hoped for a quiet getaway and they put two women with extremely loud and noisy kids into the room right next to us. we had stayed here before and had a nice stay, but now we probably won"t go back again.
- Timothy (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and courteous staff - We had a quick overnight stay so we weren't able to enjoy all the amenities. Check in was quick and the staff was very friendly. Our children even received complimentary cards for the game room with a small amount already applied to try the room out. We did visit the restaurant that evening and were very happy with the service and the food. The room was clean and comfortable. We will return and hope to have more amenities open at that time as they were closed due to COVID.
- Tina (2/5): - We booked a room and the day of my husband got sick and due to everything going on we decided it would be the right thing to cancel and not stay. They would not refund our money. I understand they need a 72 hour notice but with the pandemic I think they need to be a little more understanding.
- Ed (8/5): Salt Fork Lodge - Another Great Visit - My family loves Salt Fork State Park. The food in Timbers Restaurant was excellent, and all employees were friendly and professional. It was obvious that the lodge had been updated (carpet, paint, furniture, etc.) and the current roof project didnât interfere with our stay. The entire lodge was clean and inviting. We visit the lodge every couple of years, and we will definitely return. The only negative experience was the shower drain that drained VERY slowly (we reported this - they were repairing it immediately,) and the desk clerk failed to mention the pontoon boat discount and provide us maps, etc. She did so after I overheard another clerk explaining the benefits to another guest and I asked about them. I would recommend the restaurant even if you werenât staying there !!
- Arlene (10/5): - The team at Salt Fork were amazing! Great place to stay during a worldwide pandemic. Visitors were spread apart and the display of social distancing was excellent! Thank you for a great girls getaway.
- Darlene (8/5): - Staff was really nice, the rooms were not clean. The Grounds were well kept. Our Balcony was dirty as well as the chairs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pool is wonderful and we also enjoyed the public beach area. The rooms are a little outdated, but they are doing some updating. It was great to have so many activities to do right there near the lodge area.
- An (4/5): - We stayed in a room with 2 double beds & 1 twin bunk beds. All the beds sheets were clean except the top bunk bed. The top bunk bed comforter had spaghetti stains and the flat sheet and fitted sheet had debris on it (more specifically described as loose dirt). The scenic view and amenities were great; we would stay again as long as all the bedding is actually clean; especially given the circumstances with this COVID19 pandemic!
- Terese (6/5): - We stayed at Maumee Bay lodge and thought was going to get same experience since same ownership. NOT! Rooms very unclean and no upkeep on properly. Pool was nice. I feel with the pandemic tjis property should jave stepped up their game to give clients a comfortable experience
- Justin (4/5): Lodge - I have been going to salt fork for 20 years we always come down to deer hunt and stay in the lodge and this time i came down with my girlfriend and brother and friends for couple nights and walked into a dirty bathroom hairs all over the sink in the shower dirty rag in the shower shampoo on the shower walls also went to breakfast the next morning the meal was wrong twice my girlfriend got apple juice and it had chunks in it and they tried three times and still had chunks where we were ready to just leave and wasnt going to come back but i love the lodge was dissapointed because the indoor pool and hot tub was closed
- Nina (10/5): - Stayed for 2 nights , I felt safe with the covid issues , there was social distancing and it was not crowded. My room was clean and loved the balcony where we saw deer daily there . Park was well maintained . Loved the golf course and driving range. Met an elderly gentleman who even gave my son free golfing lessons. The golf area was beautiful and staff wonderful ! Pool was very large and nice . Did alot of fishing and Got a lot of fish. Great hiking trails. Will be back for sure.
- Roni (10/5): - Amazing place will be back next year!
- Dennis (6/5): Delayed nice stay - Overall is was a nice stay. Only issue was with check in, website said 3:00pm check in, arrived at 3:00pm, was told must not have been their website? Was then told to come back at 4:30pm, are room would be ready then. Came back at 4:30pm, there was a long line, waited and was told they were checking to make sure the room was clean. At 5:30pm we received our room key. Other than that, stay was nice.
- Ingrid (10/5): Dirty Balcony Chairs - We didn't get to sit on the plastic chairs in the balcony because they were covered with heavy film of dust and dirt.
- D.Sharp (6/5): - The lodge was nice but it was built in 1972 and it was still in that fashion. Deff needs a facelift. Other than that it was great. Park is really nice and the lake is very nice as well. The pool area was very clean.
- Cody (10/5): - Had a few issues with checking in and our cabin. Initially the front desk staff was unresponsive, but the manager, Matthew heard of our issues and really helped make our stay amazing. He went above and beyond what was needed to make a fans, but we are really grateful for his extra care and attention.
- Jackie27 (8/5): - Everything seemed pretty clean. Lodge is going through a remodel and update which is much needed. Food was good, pool was great, cabins were better than expected with nice beds linens, full kitchen. Didnât have to bring as much as we did
- Keith (8/5): - Little outdated but appears to be remodeling. The outdoor pool was very nice and clean . The area around the hotel is simply breathtaking.
- daniel (4/5): Not ADA friendly, noisy construction - Donât arrive after sundown- lighting is too poor to find your way and staff treats you like a nuisance. Luggage commute from parking lot to room is 1/4-1/2 mile and involves stairs. Awoken by CEASELESS HAMMERING promptly @ 8am. Room is clean but bathroom is tiny. I was paying Hilton prices but got a Red Roof experience.
- Chass (4/5): - We like to stay at the lodge when we come in town to visit my family because they have a beautiful outside pool area! They also are close to the lake/beach and nature trails. Unfortunately, this trip the indoor pool and hot tub were closed due to roof repairs and it was not noted when we booked our trip or checked in. Also, no one came to clean our room the entire 3 night stay that we were there. When I called the front desk they said that they were not allowed to come in occupied rooms due to covid. I explained that we would be gone for the day and asked if they could freshen up our towels and sweep the floor. It never happened. They have also changed the bedding from comforters to a sheet and very thin blanket. I was very disappointed and do not think we will visit again.
- Jim (6/5): - Liked the pool, very refreshing.....did not like having to clean the chairs and table on balcony in room . Balcony and furniture absolutely filthy !! No excuse
- Beth (8/5): - Love the location of the property. The wood beside the hot tub was noticeably rotten.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - we were supposed to get a lakeview room but the first room they put us in was a dumpster view and the sink was filthy. we asked to be moved and it took over an hour. the second room was better but housekeeping is seriously lacking....
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The lodge has a positve relaxing atmosphere with multiple burning fireplsces, indoor pool and hot tub. Great food and remodeled bar add to the experience. The out door activities include golf, swiming in pool or beach, tennis, camp fires, and numerous trails to hike.
I strongley recommend if you want a more natural, rustic stay.
- Ginny (10/5): - I love the look of the room with the wooden ceilings and overlooking the lake
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pool & hot tub were too crowded. There were also too many young kids running around making noise.
- Linda (10/5): - Nice lodge, lots to do off season.
- Mark (10/5): - A nice weekend getaway for me Iâll be back in spring summer
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Architecturally, this lodge has a very 60s feel to it, so some of the fixtures are showing their age. Very clean, but some worn edges here and there. At least 2 of the electrical receptacles in our room were so worn that our plugs kept falling out, but we prong-pinched until we got a connection. All the staff were first rate. Dining room was great quality and well priced. And, the view from our lake view balcony was invigorating. Super fast WiFi. Good water pressure. Very, very comfy mattress. No-brainer for a return visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place! Pool a little cold but was happy overall.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place to travel to. I didnât expect the drive to be that long but still really pretty place all around!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A nice weekend in a remote area. Lots of loud families in the surrounding rooms made it difficult to relax at times. Still, it was an enjoyable time at a beautiful lake. The pizza at the Timbers is very good, and service from the front desk to the restaurant to cleaning staff is always excellent.
- Angelina (10/5): comfortable and Clean - Always love our stay at Salt Fork. Comfortable beds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Rooms could use some updating including the size of beds.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 46 years and counting - We stayed at salt fork 46 years ago on our honeymoon. This year we decided to rekindle the experience. It appears we have aged better than the lodge. Much upgrading is needed in the lodge rooms. Furniture showed years of wear (scratches, gouges, stains). Bathrooms toilet bolts to floor weâre loss fitting and flushed poorly.
Dinner was a big disappointment. Vegetables seemed to come right out of frozen package and into boiling water. Salmon was dry and barely eatable.
On the plus side: the common areas are still very clean and beautiful, the scenery is fantastic, the ride into the lodge is as beautiful as 46 years ago. Also, the service in all areas (front desk, restaurant, bar, gift shop) was first rate.fOur breakfast was very good and waitress attentive.
I hope there is a source that can invest into an update to rooms and restaurant, because the location is a gem.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The lodges beautiful setting. Previously stayed there
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the heated pool the lounge and the wildlife surrounding the hotel
- Andrea (6/5): - I love the idea of this property. Everything there is just so outdated, falling apart, and dirty. My bathroom door wouldnt close, I could barely open the patio door let alone even see out of it, it was so dirty! There were dead bugs everywhere and my room smelled really musty. The available amentities were great but I was hoping for more food options with the lounge and restaurant. No microwaves in the rooms and the coffee in the lobby and the room was terrible. I couldnt find a morning coffee! The park setting was amazing and the style of the lodge was very nice. We enjoyed exploring the park and the close proximity to the lake! I just wouldnt spend this much money on a room again until somethings are updated. I paid a decent price for a room that was like an old town motel. I did enjoy the lake view from the room... I just wish I didnt need to leave the patio door open to see it!
- Michael (10/5): - A beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting, what more could one ask?
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great scenery. Food was good. Too much up and down staircases.
- Karen (8/5): - The property was beautiful. Had some difficulties finding certain activities on property and would of liked to of had more things to do. Seems as if there are more winter activities than end of summer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I enjoyed my get away at Salt Fork Lodge to rest and catch up on work that required some quiet time. At first, I thought there were not enough food choices at the lodge restaurant, but in the end it was all that I needed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Moth in room - A moth was in my room
- Yvonne (8/5): - You should provide fans to your guest, unpon them asking for one.
- Tonya (10/5): Absolutely worth it - Quiet, clean, comfortable, and beautiful.. Cannot wait to go back for leisure instead of business.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its a wonderful facility. We will be back again!!!
- Jessica (8/5): - Disappointed that there was only a mediocre breakfast buffet offered on Saturday and Sunday. Dining information says that there is a breakfast menu available.
At booking, we booked a lake view room, arrive to find out that is not guaranteed. Also our shower curtain had some mold on it, however the housekeeping staff was very attentive and quick to replace it.
- 25C (10/5): - Relaxing. Beautiful park. Nice to get away with family, away from the noise and stress of everyday life. Deer so close. Walking trails are beautiful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was nice and the pool was wonderfull. Our balcony was covered with bird poop and feathers - basically unusable. They did come and clean it the first night so we appreciated that.
However, there were no food options if we didn't want the dining room. Marina restuarant was closed. We wanted a snack about 8 p.m. and could not even find a vending machine. The one in the "snack bar" was empty. Pontoon boat rides were advertised but not available. Disappointing as the lake was very nice. We tried walking trails but couldn't find most using the VERY POOR map we were given. Overall disappointing.
