- KimMike (4/5): The only good thing I can say is the bedding seemed clean. - Honestly, not too much!!! It was definitely in need of a good cleaning Was dirty
- Patricia (1/5): Would never go back or recommend - Nothing It was a dump
- Patricia (1/5): A nightmare - Absolutely nothing Everything
- Laughead (2/5): Facility was dirty and in a state of disrepair - When we arrived, we found that our reservation had been canceled. The person at the desk said that he uad attempted to contact us, but no voicemail was left. Fortunately, he was able to secure a room for us. The room that we had reserved was for two queen sized beds, and the one that we were able to get had two full sized beds (for the same price ) The facility was dismal and dirty. There was an aroma of mothballs throughout the entire facility. The room that we stayed in (208) had layers of dust and grime on the shelf above the hanging rack and the tops of all of the lamps. The carpeting in the room looked grimy. The provided desk chairs fabric was coming apart. When I went to shower, the plumbing in the shower did not appear to be anchored in the wall. The provided body towels felt threadbare and were tiny.
The breakfast room was dirty. The floor was sticky and the counters were dirty. In complete fairness, it is possible that there was a rush just before we arrived and the attendant was unable to get to it.
If we had not arrived after midnight, we absolutely would not have stayed.
- Patricia (1/5): It was horrible ..definitely was not worth the money - Nothing Room had an odor, tv didn’t work, bathroom was dingy and towels were dirty. Rug was dirty and stained. Hallway carpet was stained worn and dirty.

- Coulthart (1/5): - It was very dirty and very smelly. The smell and it was dirty.
- Dawn (1/5): I did not stay there - Not a thing. I paid for 2 queen beds and they gave me two full size beds, the sheets were dirty, and the room smelled terrible. I didn’t stay at the hotel and cancelled my reservation with them. I don’t recommend anyone staying here. And there was a horrible smell! The bugs are what really set me off. The bed had multiple bugs in it and one was crawling on me.

- graz56 (1/5): - Needs a major remodel..My son graduated from Hampton Sydney. College 3 years ago .I would stay there sometimes to watch his baseball game, Hotels has gone downhill, very dirty will never stay there again
- Mark E (7/5): - The room was comfortable The desk clerk was rude.
The hot water in the shower was never hot.
The water pressure was very low.
It was ok to stay for just this one time.
However I would not stay there again.
My experience at the Quality Inn on Main Street in Farmville was very very good. Unfortunately they were sold out!!!
- Silkensen (2/5): After a very long day we were looking forward to hopefully a swim to unwind! That did not happen! - the location was perfect for our overnight stay close to Longwood University! The bed was comfortable. The fridge did not work. We had to end up throwing out leftover food from lunch. There was a chair in the room #112 that looked like someone had gotten sick on it. Very dirty! The website said there was a pool, but it was closed! The staff was not very friendly. The breakfast was just ok! The orange juice in the dispenser was not orange juice. Maybe orange drink. In our travels we have stayed in a lot of different hotels. I would not recommend this one. Also the hotel was hard to find. We ending up driving past the entrance and turning around. Better signage is needed especially at night.
- Kathy (1/5): WE DIDN’T STAY!! Alway’s ask to see the room you will be staying in before checking in. - The location of the town the hotel was in was near relatives. It was a very old motel that smelled moldy and musty the moment you walked in. We had reserved 2 rooms but were placed in an area with construction workers. The hallway was dirty with a stinkbug by our door, the wall in our room had a hole the size of your fist and had been taped up, the bedding was all wrinkled, the other reserved room smelled of urine. We made the night manager (Sam) aware of all the issues and asked for our money back, he refused stating he wasn’t authorized. We ended up finding accommodations in a nearby town that was 100% better!! And of course we filed a claim with our credit card company.

- Katrina (10/5): Attended a family reunion nearby. It was convenient and great - It was quiet
- Tonya (4/5): Needs a make over - Location Cold showers 2 days, smelled old and musty, carpet needed cleaned, restaurant was closed
- Derek (1/5): -
- Julie (8/5): - I was sad that the indoor pool was closed until next year. Beds were comfortable.
- Jamie (8/5): Was worth the price - Laundry mat gym and served food in the morning Was not the cleanest
- Steven (10/5): - Everyone was very polite and helpful nice clean rooms
- Carolyn (2/5): -
We had to move to another section of the hotel due to mildew and wet carpet smell.
- Richard (4/5): - We have stayed at this property many times and it has consistently gone downhill even after covid. Trash in common areas and hallways stays for multiple days. Trash dumpster outside is overflowing along with a lot of construction laying around, and the property fencing is dilapidated and falling apart. I spilled some coffee in my room and try to clean it with a dampened wash rag on the carpet. Big mistake. I don't know what's in those carpets anymore but apparently it hasn't been cleaned since covid.
- Mary (2/5): - The carpets in the hallway were nasty. The sink had hair in it. The tub had stains that looked like fresh dirt. The tub faucet leaked. The grout in the tile was nasty. There were three sheets of toilet paper on the roll when I arrived. The a/c and heat unit had buttons worn off and it took a while to adjust the temperature. There was the tiniest bar of soap in there—never saw one smaller in my life—for a two night stay. No other products were available. The refrigerator freezer was so frosted with ice I couldn’t get anything in it. Glad I brought socks to walk in the room because my socks were black when I took them off. The cereal for breakfast tasted like wood chips. I was supposed to stay two nights but didn’t stay the second night.
- Skylar (6/5): - The bathroom smelled like it had mold but other than that the room was amazing.
- Donna (2/5): - The room had terrible smell of mildew and vomit. Wallpaper was peeling. Door had large gap. Area outside was disgustingly littered with parties happening right outside side door, outside of our room. Did not feel safe on property.
Bed was HORRIBLE.
Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Would never stay here again.
- Rita (2/5): - Close to church service and dollar tree
- Rita (2/5): - Dirty carpet in the rooms and hallways
- Jacquline (7/5): Overall, it was a good value for the price and a comfortable - The location is close to where I need to be The people that were hanging around the front all the time
- Verified traveler (4/5): Once-nice hotel trashed. - This was once a nice place, but the current owners are just trying to suck money from it. Trash left on parking lot for days. Overflowing outside trash cans. Fences falling down. A crowd of non-English speaking men smoking pot every night by one of the entrances. At least once, it looked like a hooker in the parking lot. Swimming pool gross looking and out of order. Half the washers and dryers out of order, and hotel uses the ones that worked for hotel laundry.
- Tiffany (2/5): - The room was filthy. She sheets and pillows had mud on them, the chair was muddy. They were not accommodating and refused to refund the room.
- Karl (7/5): -
- Nicole (2/5): - If I had known the cleanness before booking I would not have stay especially coming from Connecticut for a family reunion… I definitely will go further out than settle and stay closer to my destination… black mold and dirty bathroom.. good thing I travel with cleaning supplies
- Lakeisha (10/5): - Wow the service was amazing and very clean
- Beryl (4/5): - The pool was out of service
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Irvin (5/5): -
- Dawn (3/5): - There was no working pool, no microwave in the room. Trash around the building.
- Lee (10/5): - Peaceful
- Bobby (2/5): - Never stated the pool was out of order
- Lee (10/5): - Clean room and bath
- Lee (6/5): - Ok for price
- Kathy (7/5): Good -
- Lisa (4/5): - All of the carpet in rooms needs to be replaced it smells even after they put carpet cleaning on it.makes the rooms smell weird and is dirty. Basic minimal breakfast, pool out of order had standing water..
- Leila (2/5): Very poor - The breakfast was OK. Everything else this place is not for travelers. Went here and was given a room that they knew was wet. It smelled terrible, then went to let them know. The other guy was like Is it still the same way that I found it, What!!!!! Went here while visiting family will never make this mistake again people live here and that's fine but for what you pay you expect a little more.
- david (8/5): - The concierge was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but looking old. Didn’t like that the hotel was supposed to be smoke free but clearly wasn’t. Our first room smelled like someone had chain smoked in it. Fortunately there was another room available
- Russell (10/5): - Another wonderful experience
- Michelle (1/5): Worst stay ever!!! - I wish that 1/2 stars was an option. This was literally the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. The quality of all three rooms plus the three extra rooms we were given to shower in because our final room stopped having hot water was horrible. They all had a very moldy and mildew smell that I could not get rid of even with carpet freshener, Febreze and a scented candle. We had to change rooms 3 times before settling on a king room that initially a little stale smelling but worked until it stopped. We had to request new keys daily because the magnet stripe failed. I tried contacting booking.com for a refund and to cancel but never received a response. Overall, I will never use booking.com or this hotel either. I do not recommend Everything. The rooms. The lobby. The smell. The misrepresentation of the presence of a pool. The faulty bathroom. The unsecured parking lot.
- Floyd (5/5): Passable - The staff was excellent. The price and location was nice. We found 2 to-go containers of food left in the fridge, there was a used bar of soap in the shower along with cobwebs in the bathroom. The carpet in the room was so dirty my shoes were sticking to it.
- CARLISA (2/5): - The rooms smelled awful and unclean. Smelled very musty in both rooms I reserved. Parking was awful. The spaces weren’t lined so people were parking pretty much anywhere. The complimentary breakfast was awful. It was safe and convenient which is the reason for the 2 stars.
- Johnson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandi (8/5): Very good -
- Shona (2/5): Keep driving - Our room smelled like cat pee from the moment we walked in. I thought it may be because the a/c was not running so the air was stagnant but once that was up and going the smell did not improve. We were too tired to ask if there was another room available. There was only a bar of shower soap, nothing for our hands. The shower was dirty and in desperate need of remodeling. We did not bother showering because we felt like we would end up dirtier. Breakfast was awful-no fresh fruit, no variety. The waffles tasted terrible-like something was mixed wrong. There were no spreads for the bread or bagels(both of which were only plain), plain oatmeal with no toppings and not much else. We spent way too much money for a place that was such poor quality.
- Detra (10/5): The manager was excellent, he made sure me and my sister were comfortable during our stay.he even accommodated us to be - The slot machines in the lobby were entertaining Nothing
- Hicks (1/5): Vary disappointed and DO not Recommend. - I liked nothing about this place This place is filthy dirty. The pool is not open. The pool has stagnant water in it and very dirty looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. The pictures are definitely a lie.
- Beverly (10/5): Much better this time - We had to stay again and this time the facility smelled wonderful and the room did too.
- Robertson (10/5): I had a great time peaceful I will be back real soon - The housekeeping the rooms was very clean The service was excellent
- Beverly (6/5): Horrible Smell - The staff were great and very polite. Room was clean. The whole place had a bad smell of mold/fungus. Run down needs to be updated. Pool was closed. Parking lot needs paved bad and not very well lit at night. Room did not have a microwave and the refrigerator had to be adjusted and took a whole day to get cold. Also carpets are very old and had a few stains.
- Darnell (9/5): My family stay was awesome very nice people at location - Location and staff was excellent property very well maintained Will book again More access to pond lol and food more food options
- Sherry (8/5): - We had a good experience staying at this motel. The only drawback was a noisy air conditioner. The motel was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also…dog friendly!
- Karen (8/5): Would stay again - Positive:
1) Comfortable room and bed.
Negative...
1) No microwave in the room.
2) Small coffee cups offered but no lids.
- Joseph (8/5): Nice - Nice room
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Polite front desk people
- Nicole (10/5): Great value, great staff. Will definitely go back if I am in the area. - It was right off the main road, easy access to and from. The manager really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. The ac didn’t work in our room and he quickly moved us to another room. Breakfast was good. We had eggs, sausage and waffles. They also had fruit, yogurt and cereal. I was only disappointed that the pool wasn’t open.
- Nicole (10/5): Great value, and staff. Will definitely visit again - Everything Nothing
- Miroslav (2/5): Very poor - Great smell in the room.
- Kevin (7/5): Good - Location was good. The breakfast could have had more selection.
- James (6/5): Adequate. - Front desk clerk was very kind. The location was good. Breakfast was ok. The walls in a few rooms we looked at before settling in the one we chose were not clean at all.
- Paul (2/5): I would never go there again - The iron table and the little fridge. That's it! The breakfast was only waffles and coffee. They didn't clean the room unless you told them to do it. The air was heavy due to the lack of ventilation. This place has not been remodeled in decades. Terrible experience.
- Tina (5/5): It was sufficient for one night. - Staff was friendly and efficient, slept comfortably. Lighting on the parking lot was very poor; uncomfortable with coming in at night and leaving car on such a dark lot.
Breakfast was minimal; not replenished sufficiently.
- Jeffery (6/5): It Was Just Mid - It was simply meh. Everything was clean and relatively new-ish. The breakfast was substandard - nothing but carbohydrates; no fruits, no eggs, bacon, or sausage; just waffles, bagels, toast, and donuts.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (2/5): You get what you pay for - Quality Inn? No, Shoddy Inn. The hotel smelled bad. The carpets were dirty, ripped up & coming off the floor. I’m glad we didn’t have our kids with us. The parking lot has no lighting, which is a safety concern. I only took the elevator once out of concern for our safety. The doors didn’t work properly and the elevator seemed to be struggling to work. We had to kill a bug in our room & there was a dead spider in the bathroom. Never again
- Hailey (7/5): Good - The bridge Not being able to get towels after setting mine in the hall because I guess you have to be here at 9 or 10 when the cleaning ladies pick them up to get new ones. Also the breakfeast is a waffle, toast, or cereal. And the drink machine messes up alot.
- Thompson (10/5): Exceptional -
