Guest Reviews
- Sparks (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything place was nasty. And dirty
- Alan (2/5): - This place is a dump! No one was in the lobby and they had a hand written note instructing to go up the street to the Quality Inn to check in. Apparently same owner for both properties. Clerk was nice but spoke little English. The room was horrible. Large air gap under door so cold wind was blowing in. HVAC unit took a very long time to warm up the room and it was very noisy. Fortunately the loud fan drowned out any noise the other guests were making. There was also large air gaps surrounding the unit letting more cold wind in. The TV wasn't much larger than my laptop screen but it didn't work anyway! Bed was rock hard. Shower head leaked and squirted water everywhere. Many tiles were missing. Avoid this place!
- Jose (2/5): - False advertisement on the photos is one thing in real life not, found a note saying that I had to go to Quality Inn to register then comeback to roadway Inn is sad then found a not on the door of the room stating if the toilet was loose or the lid to give them a call
- Mark (6/5): Needs a lot of TLC - Looks like the place was just acquired and they've done some updating but needs a lot of work still. Paint job is awful. Place still smells old and smokey.
- Shokhrukh (1/5): They didn't refund my money. - They didn't refund my money. They didn't refund my money.
- Chris (3/5): it's a bed to put your head on when traveling long distances. - the view and easy parking. beds were clean and comfortable. broken tile in bathroom along with shower head held on with rag of some sort. TV that didn't turn on(had faulty outlet) smoke alarms not hooked up. faucet only gave you boiling water. the ac/heater was set at a high temperature. could not really turn down much. had to check in across the street at the quality inn(hand written note at front desk).
- Jillian (1/5): If possible, I strongly recommend refraining from remaining in that location under any circumstances - It had coffee Kindly note that the pancake batter and orange juice have both gone bad, making the breakfast unfit for consumption. You have to notify them of everything, but the language barrier is horrible. They do not understand what is being said.
- kristine (2/5): - If you feel like you have extra money that you want to give away this is the place for you. When we got there we had to goto another hotel to check in and was told we had to go back to this hotel in the morning if we wanted the breakfast. The place was dirty and had several places on the floors and walls with duct tape on them. I thought we didnt have any hot water for the shower but after about 5 mintes of running water i decided just to get in the shower anyways and about 3 minutes later we had hot water but for only one shower. TV did not work. Would not recommend to anyone and i felt like i overpayed by about $120 for the room, total rip off!!
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing -
- Bill (2/5): - The staff should be able to speak English
WHY DO HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER MOTEL TO CHECK IN.
THERE WAS A WATER LEAK IN THE BATH ROOM. NOT ENOUGH PARKING AND WAS BLOCKED IN FOR HOURS.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
- Nickolas (3/5): This place is so run down and it’s not even clean you have to go across the street to check in and everyday it’s across - The location is the only thing good about it For a non smoking room this one smells like a ashtray also the toilet was not bolted down and would leak out the bottom
- Kyle (1/5): Bad -
- Alex (1/5): Just Pay extra for a nicer hotel, awful hotel - Everything was terrible It looks like a crack house
- Soledad (1/5): Bad - The location The personal was unprofessional
They was listening music a high volume wen a lot of traveling wants sleep
- Manjit (1/5): Bad -
- Leti (1/5): Stay a night would not stay there again the room was clean however the curtains had holes in them and the room had sever - Clean Air conditioning didn’t work holes in the walls restroom the room was not finished hanging wires
- Hillary (6/5): Pleasant - Easiest right off highway location. Not the cleanest.
- Monte (1/5): Bad -
- Gordonvu (5/5): Nothing much to see at Rawlins. - Price is reasonable. The hotel needs a lot of fixing. You have to go to the next hotel across the road for breakfast. Both hotels are own by the same hotel.
- Marie (7/5): Good -
- Susan (6/5): Noisy - Room was adequate but needed a good cleaning. Very noisy neighbors that started their vehicle at 5 am and let it run for several minutes before leaving. Hot breakfast was across the street and down a bit from this hotel. Not convenient.
- Lloyd (5/5): Trip to Kansas - It was easy to find and the room was big. The bathroom was small and old. The "warm breakfast" was across a busy street at another motel.
- Gennie (6/5): - Check-in was easy along with the room was alright. The operator’s child was a little intrusive. Had to go across the highway for the free continental breakfast.
- Aaron (7/5): Good -
- Jan (1/5): Avoid at all cost - Absolutely nothing During first entering: beds not made. Dirty towels on bed and on bathroom floor. Toilet not flushed. Nobody in front office after third call. Breakfast was supposed to be at an adjacent hotel
- Alfred (1/5): The worest travel stay I've ever experienced! - NOTHING Not cleaned or serviced after previous guest checked out. TV didn't work. No security latch on door. The bathroom door wouldn't close. Floor was filthy. Of course, linens had not been changed. Had to drive to a different motel (Quality Inn) to check in.
- Lynda (1/5): Yuck - The breakfast was terrible , there was no manager on duty until 9 am. The waffle mix was all water. It never cooked properly all you had was a empty crust. Warm milk ,,, Everything. Could not even check in on sight. Had to go over to quality inn because they had no manager at all.
- Dan (4/5): - TV didn't work, safety latch was broken, bathroom door wouldn't stay closed
- Nancy (2/5): - I am disputing the charge for this room through my cc company since the front desk staff hung up on me. It took 6 tries to get in a room that wasn’t actually occupied. Once in a room, it was filthy, main light didn’t work and what certainly appears to be blood and other substances on the mattress. Woman screaming outside. Cracked mirror, you name it, if it was nasty it was in the room. Horrendous “customer service”. Wish I could give zero stars.
- Michelle (2/5): - I went to check in and I was directed to drive across the street to another hotel to check in. What?? Sure thing. I checked in, drove back across the street and my keys didn’t work. Drove back across the street and was given a different room and keys. Again, the keys didn’t work. The maintenance man was walking by and opened it up for me. The smell of musty mold was intolerable. I drove back across the street told the front desk I was not going to stay because of the mold smell and then went to another hotel. Expedia shouldn’t even recommend this place.
- Mike (5/5): Passable -
- Tim (2/5): - Front desk empty. Sign to call number. Called, Went to voicemail. Voice mail was full. Tried to cancel stay on expedia but was too late. Did not stay at Rodeway. No one there to check me in!
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Herrera (5/5): Poor maintenance - Parking and view Breakfast bar coffee terrible.. bring your own. Shower upstairs leaking into my room.
- ZoeAnn (10/5): - Safe place!!
- John (4/5): Bad stay - No hot water, have to go to another hotel for the continental breakfast.
air conditioner was loud and noisy.
Ice machine didn’t work
- Michael (2/5): - The property was cobbled together as well as the rooms. The rooms were filthy light in bathroom didn't work and shower was gross. But yet charge basically the same prices as way nicer hotels. Not worth 40.00 a night much less the 115.00 they charge!!
- Roy (8/5): Very good -
- Carrie (7/5): Good - Comfy bed No breakfast
- Lisa (3/5): Poor -
- Harold (8/5): Good but nothing special - If you are planning on breakfast at the hotel plan on going across the street to the Quality Inn. The same management owns both hotels so I guess they only want to take care of one dining area.
- Stephen (1/5): DONT USE BOOKING.COM - Nothing When I arrived I was told there were no rooms available. I contacted Booking.com and was told they could not reach the property so there is nothing they can do. So just out $130 I guess. Not using Booking.com again...
- Brown (5/5): IIf iwould've been alone I would not have felt safe - Breakfast was to be got from across the street somewhere, very awkward so i didnt get it. Floor was hard so it felt dirty. The curb appeal was very lacking, if I went by the outside look of the place,i wouldn't have stayed. When I woke in the middle of the night my door was open!! Good thing I had the top lock attached or it might have been wide open. Scary! Also I had to pay for my support animal, federal law says I am not supposed to have to pay. There is no area to take your animal to pee, no pool, carpet in the room would've been nice. Updating needs to be done inside and out.
- Ashley (1/5): Bad - The sheets were kind of clean,And it was a horizontal place to sleep. That’s about it. Everything was super dirty. Didn’t expect anything fancy but it would of been nice to at least have a clean room that didn’t feel gross to put our stuff in
- Tori (5/5): Good enough - It was clean The decor was updated but overall everything was in a state of mild disrepair.
- Kimberly (2/5): - People were fighting in the lobby. I think it was a mom and daughter. It was all in another language so idk what about. When we went to go check out no one was there so we just left the card key there. There were people talking outside our room the whole night. Don’t go here not worth the $100 or so.
- Yuki (1/5): Bad -
- Rebecca (1/5): nightmare. worst place ever. - nothing it was nasty, broken window , tv didn’t work .worst stay of my life.
- Chris (3/5): Poor -
- Linda (2/5): - I have never stayed in such dump
- Lil (6/5): Pleasant -
- Donna (1/5): The place is a dump - The beds were ok and the bedding was clean. Some of the furniture was broken and repaired badly
The bedspreads were old and mismatched
No soap or shampoo
1 towel, 1 washcloth
Tub was very old and in poor condition
Repairs to walls done badly
Heater had 2 settings-off or on
Check in had to be done at a motel across the road
No staff in the office
- Cassey (1/5): Spend a little more on a better hotel. Trust me - Staff was very unprofessional
Room was old and seemed worn down
Bed super uncomfortable
Side table outlets didn't work nor did the lights
No breakfast though breakfast was advertised.
Just not a good stay.
- Charlotte (1/5): Bad - The room was not bad, comfortable. The TV got absolutely no channels and couldn't use the mini fridge since it stunk so bad; had to spray the room to get the smell out after we had opened it to put our drinks in. No breakfast, had to go down the street to another motel fir breakfast.
- Robert (4/5): - The parking area where i had to park my trailer and u haul was had no lighting at all and the stairwell going up to second floor also no lighting.
- Pat (9/5): Easy access, quiet room - King was nice large room and bed was comfortable. Quiet room. Easy access from freeway. Heater was located in window and only heated half the room. Fridge did not work.
- Halverson (8/5): Very good -
- Darrell (2/5): - Check-in was terrible - took 20 mins to find the person and get her to the front desk. I’ve stayed at places that cost half as much as this place and the values were far better. The rates charged by this motel are ridiculous.
- Tim (3/5): Poor - Not sure. No breakfast even though one was advertised, no in room coffee, no ice machine, room stank of smoke. This is an old facility which needs updating.
- Maureen (1/5): Stay away!!!!!! - Nothing! Although we arrived well after check in time, there was no room available that was clean so we had to wait while the front desk employee cleaned one.. I reserved a king, but got a double queen. There was no breakfast available although my reservation stated that there was. The woman at the front desk was totally inept. Upon checkout, I rang the bell several times and no one came out from the private area to assist me, so I was unable to get a receipt. Even with the additional pet deposit, the charge on my credit card was $12.00 more than my online reservation.
- Amy (5/5): Passable -
- Joel (8/5): Very good -
- Pier (6/5): Pleasant - Staff was friendly It says breakfast but they only serve coffee because of the pandemic but yet no mask or sanitizer so was pretty upset. Rooms werent clean it smelled like smoke. Would not book again..
- Gary (4/5): Rodeway Inn Rawlins Wy - Really this place bears a nationwide brand? The ceiling in the room must be 10 feet high, the room echos when you talked to each other. It was all around nasty.
- Jason (4/5): Down in the dumps - We arrived to a warm and stuffy room as they had the AC turned off in the room. The walls had touch ups all over the room and the bathrrom. And, the bathroom had water damage that looked like perhaps they fixed the leak but they didn't fix the water damage. Also, the pillows were less then desirable and the bed was hard. I most likely will not be staying here when I come back through town in a few weeks.
- Kara-marie (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (2/5): - Not good never checked in to Rodeway
Note on door said check in at another hotel!
- James (6/5): Good clean hotel but no breakfast offered - Clean solid hotel. Only issue is they listed that they had a continental breakfast but they are not offering it right now due to the pandemic. They had the breakfast hours sign up prominently in the lobby and everything set up for breakfast but no breakfast. This would be fine but they never told me about this and only found out due to a sign partially blocked by the breakfast equipment.
- Mary (10/5): - This is a very convenient property to stay in.
- Andrea (4/5): - Bottom level king
- Amy (6/5): Bleh - The place is a total dive and even though they advertised breakfast they didn't provide anything.
- Lynne (6/5): - We didn't actually stay at the rodeway. They moved us across and down the street to an "upgrade" that didn't really feel like an upgrade. If that was an upgrade, I hate to see what the rodeway actually looked like.
The other hotel where I actually stayed was mediocre, but allowed my pets (for a fee), so as the only option available, I had to take it.
"bag breakfast" was available and was really not satisfactory.
Customer service desk was kind.
Dining options in this sad town are slim picking.
- Sandra (2/5): Lack of staff - I booked at Roadway for 130. When I went in to the desk it said to go across the street and get a room at the quality inn due to staff shortage. They quoted ma a price of $100 dollars. This was unbelievable and wrong.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Understaffed/miscommunicaive - We booked the room online. Once we arrived had to wait at check in. Once someone arrived they told me they were short staffed and my room haddnt been cleaned yet. They asked me to check in through the hotel they owned across the street and they would put me up at that one at the cost i had paid. When i arrived across the street the other clerk was like no you will have to pay the difference to stay. I told hi. I was informed that they said i could be moved since my room wasnt clean yet. He tried to tell me that his system was showing the room clean already
I had to argue that the other site i had just come from said otherwise and that they would pit me up at what i had paid already. I ended up having to pay the difference before he would let me check in. I was very abgry that their lack of communication cost me more money to put my family up for the night. Too high of a price for what you recieve. My suggestion is pay more and go somewhere better.
- Allison (4/5): 1 star at most stay, inaccurate descriptions. - I would give this a 1 out of 5 stars. There was no continental breakfast due to COVID-19, yet their website and listings did not mention breakfast being cancelled, so that was definitely false advertisement there. There were clean towels and sheets. The bedspreads were thin and the complimentary soaps were greasy and nasty no name brand stuff. The receptionist lady was not work and welcoming and we did not feel safe at this hotel. The AC worked and we had small amenities in our room. It was a barely passable stay, and I expected too much from this 2 star hotel. Rawlings, WY has almost no stores or fast food places making eating difficult, especially when breakfast is cancelled. Too bad the pictures on the website made it look way nicer than it was in reality.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Really needs to be updated. Outside is falling apart. Room was clean.
- Rich (6/5): Car trouble forced stay - It is overpriced for the age and comfort. Would much prefer paying an extra $60 for a nicer hotel but they were sold out. No other options in a bind due to car trouble forcing an unplanned stop.
- Sara Jo (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Our room was filthy with dirt buildup in front of the door, hair in the shower drain, someone else’s ponytail holder on the floor, holes in curtains, the air conditioner doesn’t work, and it smells like 100 cartons of cigarettes have been smoked in this room! PATHETIC!!!!! It was hard to fall asleep!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Had to pay for pet fees separately from this app. I wish they would have said that. There was still garbage in room from last people and no conditioner for hair.
- Paul (2/5): - that place was worth 15 a nite not 115. Absolute garbage. tv was not good. place smelled bad. i brought in a set of small sheets to lay on because it was so gross. I was on the road for days and couldnt make it any furthur that day. last thing i wanted was a crap hotel at a 4 star price
- James (6/5): Not satisfied with anything here but …… - When you check in after midnight you take what you can getHad to pay $15 extra for my dog even tho no word of it when reserving room and sitting they are pet friendly.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I paid $154 to stay here cause was tired and the room was not worth that. Stay at other motels for less and had way better room. It could have been better.
- Chadlee (6/5): - Old unkept property. Way overpriced due to construction work in the area.
- Debbie (2/5): Pass this one - This hotel was very subpar. The room was clean but that is the only redeeming quality this place had. The door to the room had obviously had a forced break in as there were two holes where the security lock had been. Later in the evening there were people lingering outside our room talking loudly. We tried to call the office--no service on the phone. When we woke up in the morning there were empty beer cans and bottles lining our window sill. Since we were travelling across the US we booked rooms with breakfast. We were informed upon arrival "due to the virus" there would be no breakfast. This excuse to save money is not true. Most of the hotels that advertised breakfast offered packaged items and coffee. I would never stay here again!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overpriced for no extra amenities on a Monday - Says pet friendly but charges a $15 fee & also doesn’t have anywhere for them to go potty anywhere on site (at all). No “on the go breakfast” or coffee due to covid... The bathtub was gross, heater doesn’t heat the whole room (not even eventually) and everything else was pretty much as expected when getting a cheap motel room, except to me it wasn’t “cheap” for the lack of amenities.
- mary (8/5): Great location - A no frills motel was beyond my expectations. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and welcoming.
- Joseph (6/5): Fair - Pay for what u get we will pay more next time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We happened upon this when we got stranded from 80 being closed. The staff was super friendly. The hotel is run down. The ceiling paint is peeling, there are holes in the walls. A lot of the room looks unfinished. The bathtub was sketchy and looked like a breeding ground for athletes foot. The bed sheets were clean though. And it was pet friendly, which was a perk. Our room door jammed and was really difficult to open. But it wasn't too far of a drive to food and Walmart.
- Jeffery (6/5): NOT the best! - hotels ok. In a abandon part of town. Look like some remodeling done??
- Mariah (10/5): - Room was clean everytime, lots of space in the room for my 1 year old to roam around. Owners were very friendly!! Stayed 2 separate times and definitely would stay again!! Thanks!!
- Bev (6/5): Not very good communication- - The door to our room= didn't have a deadlock, part of it was missing. The room -carpet wasn't very clean at all. The refrigerator wasn't even cleaned out = somebody left their belonging in there.
- Aimee (6/5): - Clean. Bed was comfy but air conditioner went on and off all night. Was pretty dated and needed some bathroom remodel.
- Andy (10/5): Best Hotel in Rawlins! - My favorite hotel in Rawlins! Very clean and tidy rooms, and the staff always treat me like family.
- Elizabeth (6/5): No breakfast as stated - Room was clean but I selected hotel based on continental breakfast which the lady stated they weren’t doing. Should have been stated instead of a headline about motel that you get “free breakfast” and I would have selected differently
- Brian (4/5): - Couldn’t use the wifi. Yes it was free but If you needed to use it,you had to stand outside the office. Very run down building but was clean. Nice lady who I believe is the owner or manager was very welcoming need to drive to downtown for good food. Check out bucks great steak
- James (8/5): - Room was clean a bit outdated but for the price I’m not complaining.
- Cristie (4/5): - The room smelled strongly of pee and the bed had two slumped in areas the phone did not work yo even call the front desk and the toulet was clogged
- DonaldAdams (2/5): - The photos were deceptive. The place has never been remodeled. 20 year old carpet-gross.
- Ben (4/5): What a dump - This place is a dump. The photos online are very misleading. The bed sounded broken, musty smell and disgusting bathroom.
- Andy (10/5): Best deal in town! - Great people, clean, safe and comfortable always
