- Becca (10/5): -
- James (1/5): Sketchy - The whole place smells like weed and there are sketchy people wandering around at all hours of the day and night. There are broke-down vehicles store in the back parking lot and trash everywhere. There is no breakfast and the outer doors are not locked.
- Steve (1/5): - Nothing Everything
- Boden (3/5): - Location The smell...it was horrible. It was thick, and attached to anything and stayed with you even while away.
It was a stink of smoke, weed, in a closed bar for 12 yrs....then make it smell worse.
That's bad.
- Steffen (5/5): - Location Very loud, hallways stink like cooked food
- Germaine (1/5): - There were cockroaches in the room would like a refund please.
- Donald (5/5): Low cost but low quality - Location I had to make a phone call from the lobby to get anyone to check me in and then had to wait a few minutes for them to show up. Their lobby closes at 10 pm and there is noone in attendance if there are issues or you need assistance. Service was mediocre.
There was a used towel in the bathroom from the previous occupant.
Room was clean but not " inviting".
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- Thompson (8/5): -
- Lynda (7/5): Nice, but I did not expect the dogs. - There was no breakfast and the location was convenient. I did not expect all the noise from dogs.
- Debra (5/5): Won't stay here again - Location was excellent .. No Breakfast.. I'm thankful to have a reservation when arriving in town It could have been sanitize,. Cleansed.. noticeable Odor Smell from other customers.. Also.. people hanging outside their Unit,. UnSafe Surroundings,. I booked 5 Day Stay... Only stayed one night
- Matthew (2/5): Birch Hill Suites is a scam. Nobody should be expected to pay to stay in a bug infested stinky BEDS! - I liked that they offered kitchens and larger refigerators. The bugs, the broken stove top, the smelly hallways, the unattentive staff. They are there for chk in and out. At night they close a steel gate over the desk and here is no one around. This place needs shut down and an investigation into the people running it as well as the use of W.P.A.F.B. in the name. If they are affiliated with the actual W.P.A.F.B. The base needs to be notified how nasty this place is. The front desk tried to rebook my room. They completed to check in for another guest and gave them keycards to my room. Stranger had access to the room that was already paid for and being used. Stranges got to walk through the room and return to the desk to comp[lain that their room wasnt even clean.
- Thomas (5/5): - It was cheap Beds were super hard. We didn't get the king suite we reserved. Was told they were sold out. Someone tried to get in our room on our last nights stay. They shutter the front desk at night so if you need anything you have to call, but not from the room. They don't have phones in the room.
- Sidnei Geraldo (9/5): -
- McFadden (2/5): - Nothin really. I just needed somewhere to rest. But i will never go back there again They didn't have tissue in the bathroom when i got there. No pots or pans to cook on mini stove. Dogs in the facility was barking all night. Elevators smelled like smoke. And people just sitting and walking around the parking lot all day and night.
- cynthia (8/5): - The staff was friendly. Outside and inside was kept up well. The room could have used a better cleaning especially the floor and dusting. The stove top was missing a knob and cigarette burns on the counter tops.
The pillows definitely could be upgraded and there were no blanket on the bed.
Overall, a decent place just bring pillows and a blanket.
- Donna (3/5): The price was low and room was very basic no frills. - The price was low because of no breakfast. It was very basic. The towels were nice. Will not be going back. I found a bug.
- Melissa (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and and made check in super easy. Everything was perfect except the bed needed more pillows and blankets.
- Nicole (10/5): - Yes
- Vitaly (6/5): - My room 138, had an intense fragrance. The fragrance was probably to mask old cigarette smoke odor; I was getting random wiffs of cigarette smoke throughout the night. The bed and bathroom were clean. The floor looked clean. The neighboring clients were sketchy acting and I wouldn't say I felt "safe"
- Rafford (7/5): -
- Hart (2/5): -
- Cedric (4/5): - I booked this hotel for a short stay between work shifts. I had a 5-hour gap and didn’t want to spend an hour driving home and back just to end up more tired. The goal was simple: get some decent rest, avoid exhaustion, and be safe on the road.
While the location was convenient, the stay was far from restful. The room was very noisy. I could hear constant stomping from the guest above me, and it literally sounded like they were moving furniture after midnight. On top of that, there were barking dogs that made it hard to relax at all.
Another major issue was the lack of proper blackout curtains and the bright parking lot lights poured in all night, making it hard to fall — or stay — asleep. The bedding was also cheap and flimsy, to the point where I felt the need to go out and buy my own just to feel remotely comfortable.
In the end, I left and drove home anyway, only getting about **1 hour and 40 minutes of sleep total — completely defeating the purpose of booking the room in the first place.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this stay. If you're looking for rest and recovery, this isn’t the place to find it.

- Jeffrey (2/5): Crap hole - My vehicle would have been more comfortable. Dogs constantly barking. The place was full of shady people. Was afraid to go out after dark
- Ethen (6/5): - The location was good Hmmmm there is a lot
Either booking or the hotel or something on my end i dont know didnt have the room I reserved I got stuck with a two queen bedroom. Fridge was frosted over really bad. Saw one roach in the bathroom like day 2 of being there. Other days I didnt see it and there was mold starting to grow the last 2-3 days I was there.
- Jasmine (4/5): I would never go back!! - The staff were really nice! It wasn’t clean at all! I got into my room and there was unidentifiable stuff on the wall the floors were so dirty like they hadn’t been mopped in any type of way for a long while my socks were black at the bottom from walking on the floor! I spilled water on the floor and grabbed a white towel to wipe it up and the towel was disgustingly dirty!
- Combs (8/5): Very good -
- Paola (5/5): Passable - It was close to a lot of things Very dirty and noisy
- Ezequiel (7/5): Good -
- Jack (4/5): Very basic room. - Birch Hill Suites was the Motel 6 of extended stay hotels. The entry sign said "No Smoking" but the lobby smelled strong of cigarettes when we checked in, and we could smell them in the hallways. We could see particles of debris on the floor in our room. My socks were dirty after walking across it. The room comes with no kitchen amenities, I provided all my own utensils, even my own coffee pot.
The best thing in the room was the small table with 2 chairs.
- Samuel (10/5): - All good
- Louise (6/5): - Room had bare necessities and had a lingering cigarette smell that irritated my throat. We stayed one night. No clock except on microwave and no hand towel, only wash cloths and bath towels
- Ronald (4/5): - The picture of the room looks like it is an efficiency with a stove, full size refrigerator ,kitchen sink and a microwave. They had no utensils or dishes . Not even a hair dryer! Dropped a little water on the floor and when I wiped it up the paper towel was black!
- David (10/5): good place to crash - solid night's sleep
- Gregory (8/5): One of best Motels been to - Your responsible to remove own trash to dumpster and no trashcan in room was my only problem. room, refrigerator, stovetop and microwave clean no oven no dishes very pet friendly just needs more green space to walk dogs.. reason not 5 star rated is nothing is perfect but I rated everything fairly
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joel (2/5): - We normally never leave reviews, but this was really weird. From the front appearance, the place looked fine. Once we checked in though, we immediately got that "cheap motel" vibe. It seemed like one of those hotels that is half full of full time residents. There were bikes outside chained to trees. A van on blocks in the lot. Totally had that halfway house feel. At 10:00pm you could hear people arguing and dogs barking down the hall. The bed was absolutely horrible. Just a mattress on a stand and two pillows. No headboard. The floors were sticky. The shower was disgusting. We generally make a bug search at every hotel and we saw no signs of that at all. We just had that "What did we get ourselves into" feeling until we left. I will say the staff were friendly though and it was priced very low. Our other options were all booked up for the night.
- Craig (3/5): Below average didn’t die so - It’s an extended stay for low income people it is what it is Super dirty and gave us the wrong room we were given a room people were in….
- Julie (2/5): - Property has roaches. Stayed a month and never had housekeeping come to our room for anything. (I bought cleaning materials, exchanged our towels and bedding) Very unfriendly staff. Dog poop all over in the grassy area. Garbage always piled up. Manager will only take time out for you if you voice your unhappiness. Their right hand doesn't know what their left is doing.
- Skyler (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Consider somewhere else! - No soap! No Kleenex! No shampoo! No cups! No hangers for our coats! No hand towels! No bath mats! There was a table top ironing board but no iron!
The hotel is non-smoking and we were also told that at check in. Our floor was FULL of cigarette smoke. You could smell it in our room.
We wouldn’t have used the kitchen area but there was NOTHING other than a garbage can.
- James (2/5): - There was a baby screaming all night long and then a maintence man did a random walk in in our room while my girlfriend was naked
- Maleah (8/5): Very good - Staff was friendly and helpful the room rate was affordable N/A
- Bill (10/5): I'll stay here again and again just for the smell of the roomddd⁴3 - the staff was friendly and accommodating. the room was ok sized and linens were clean. the best thing I've experienced and the reason i will definitely stay here again was the smell of the room. no smoke smell or cigarette smell, it was a nice refreshing clean smell upon entering the room which honestly put a smile on my face every time I walked in. no cooking utensils or silverware and no ice machine at all. be prepared to go buy ice.
- Donald (4/5): - Room had the bare essentials and was clean but it did not have any paper towels or paper cups for water. There were dogs allowed in the rooms which we didnt know before we booked and they barked loudly as the owners yelled.Walls so thin we heard water drawn in next room. All floors were noisy and cold with no carpets.
- Amira (5/5): I would never stay here again - sketch af. - Staff was nice at front desk. Employee at front desk that helped me on 10/18/24 around 8 PM was very accommodating and did the best he could to help. The place reeks - marijuana, dog, BO, and just mystery scents. The room itself smelled good, but literally was like choking on whatever lemon scent they aggressively sprayed in the room. There is NOOOO hand towels in the whole hotel (was told this by AM staff and I just think it's so weird and inconvenient), we had 4 people stay and only got two towels and two wash clothes (no bath mat either). They were only able to give me 1 more towel during my two day stay. There are no comforters, only 1 light blanket and 2 top sheets?? Only 2 pillows on each bed. The only toiletry provided in the room was hand soap. The hotel is huge and just overall run down and busy. There were a lot of dogs present. They're short staffed and there was no staff on site for 12 hours, they posted signs all over during our second day there which was nice to at least let us know, but this whole place is a hot mess. If you're picky about hotels, this one is too sketch. Also, Booking.com is literally unable to fix the listing - THERE ARE NO SOFA BEDS IN THIS WHOLE HOTEL and they comped me some money for it, but it would've sucked if the 5th person we had coming with us hadn't back out because then we would've been stuck with 3 adults in a queen bed or someone sleeping on the nasty floor. I was informed their only cots got "ruined by dogs".
- Noah (1/5): Bad - Smelled sickeningly of cigarettes, I was told I would get a refund due to a family emergency and have not seen the refund yet. I arrived late and had informed the staff and the lobby was closed.
- William (3/5): Fair. - No breakfast. Another hotel.
- Christopher (1/5): I didn’t stay. - Nothing Overall rundown, dirty look. Broken down vehicle in the lot with weeds growing around it, bicycles chained to a fence in the back, dirty and damp lobby, no signage out front, had the feel of a crackhouse, etc. I didn’t stay.
- Frank (4/5): - Dogs barking for hours, bathroom amenities next to nothing
- Queen (7/5): Good -
- Arricka (4/5): Disappointing -
- Zane (4/5): - The smell in the elevators and hallway was a mixture of body odor, and poop. It was pretty bad. So much so that I took the stairs from the 3rd floor at the end of the hall down to a side exit just to escape having to go through it more than I had to.
- Mark (4/5): Last option - Location. Scummy. Dogs barking in building. Pot smoking. No towells for shower floor. Remote control didnt work. Would truly avoid ths place again.
- Margaret (2/5): - This property isnt really a motel for travelers but more for folks looking to live in a housing unit. There was no signage on the building to let someone know they found the right place. There were many dogs, with some leaving dog manure in the hallway. The tv didnt have a remote. The front desk personnel was non-existant except for check in. I should have had a clue when I was given the chance to inspect the room in advance.
The door to ourside never locked. If this was my first booking with Expedia, I would never use the app again.
- Kevin (2/5): - Floors needed mopped, exterior doors did not lock, holes in doors, bathroom door coming apart, strong smell of pet urine & cigarette smoke, outdoor of property overwhelmed with pet feces, laminate flooring installed improperly & coming up, extended stay hotel w/o coffee pot had to ask for towels, Toilet loose & rocked, wife accosted & threatened in parking lot with our dog
- Eddy (6/5): - The room was clean ,but the beds were like on stilts ,& slide all over easly .not connected to the headboard's either
- Alyssa (10/5): Exceptional - The front office guy was very nice, and was very personable. I liked the hardwood floors, and we could tell our room was freshly cleaned. N/a
- Robert (3/5): Good Price - but absolutely nothing in the room - No Ice machine but there are signs saying they had one. Nothing in the room.. no cups, no soap, no shampoo, no coffee maker, no hair dryer.. no iron but there was an ironing board. Basically none of the basic things you would expect to be there. Nothing in the lobby like a coffee machine or anything. A very sterile environment with nothing but bare rooms.
- Amy (10/5): It was great - It was clean and nice ppl. The beds wasn’t comfortable
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - Everyone and everything has been great Customer Service and my room is excellent
- Allen (1/5): Didn't...we ask for a refund. - This was like a prison cell. No blankets for the bed. A dirty shower that I wouldn't have let me dog be washed in. Completely unacceptable. The Smell of Marijuana was so bad I was afraid my kids would get high. Everything...totally unacceptable. Filthy. Horrible. Stay anywhere else....even in your car, just get out. We booked this so we could watch the eclipse. We were forced to find something else.
- Kevin (1/5): Bad - The appearance was unkempt, smelled horrible and staff was difficult to locate and not accommodating. My employee didn't even stay because he was uncomfortable and chose to drive the two hours home in the middle of the night.
- Michele (5/5): Ideal space for a couple, and very close to the Air Force Military Base and Wright University. - The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. The kitchen has good cupboard space and we were able to prepare quick meals. The location for us was very good, close to the Air Base, supermarkets and shops nearby. I didn't like the cleaning service in the elevator, the hallway that leads to the rooms, and the stairs, the entire stay from the day I arrived until the day I left were very dirty. Furthermore, our upstairs neighbor was very noisy until late at night.
- Fredrick (6/5): It's ok for the money. - Size of room and price. Dogs and trash cans around the property over flowing.
- Rick (7/5): Good - The price and the location The staff and was extremely noisy guest upstairs
- Margo (10/5): Exceptional - It was a Great place to stay we loved it. It was stress free relaxation we all needed the r&r. Nothing at all
- Lisa (4/5): Would stay again - Price
- Margo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tman123 (2/5): Very poor - N/A Stains on the bed. Having to take out your own trash. Also I booked a smoking room and they DO NOT HAVE smoking rooms. I also requested a refund and have yet to receive one.
- Dorian (1/5): Bad -
- Ginter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (5/5): Only stayed there due to a power outage at our home & needed fridge/freezer. Would not go back. - It had an apartment sized fridge/freezer; which was what we needed, since we had a temporary power outage at our home. Beds were decent and there was adequate heat. Extra blanket was available upon request. Entrance was small & didn’t seem like the entrance. It was raining when we arrived and we walked partway around the building at first, because we couldn’t tell if that was the real entrance or not. Loud repairs in hallway outside our room. Signed a paper saying we would not smoke or tamper with smoke detectors, but 3rd floor hallway smelled strongly of weed the entire time, so I’m not sure if this is a serious agreement made by longterm guests. Bathroom toilet handle in our room was broken off so you had to hold the small block and twist it to flush the toilet.
- Johnny79 (1/5): Brutal - Location was great didn't stay for breakfast Everything was awful booked online said everything was good. Got there and not only did I haft to wait for a room to be available in which I already paid up front for 1 thinking it qas at least they told me it was it was not cleaned at all
- Casr (9/5): Great location!! - Location A lot of noise from the dogs and they don’t change towels; the room is fine, in the bathrooms it needs to be improved.
- Amy (5/5): Passable -
- Suneelkumar (4/5): - I booked a non-smoking room but there was a smell of smoke all time, couldn't sleep properly and Bed light was also not working room is dark not comfortable.
- Sikuku (7/5): Good -
- Debra (2/5): - Expedia charged my credit card and Suburban charged my credit card. I was double billed.
- Paul (1/5): Will never stay here again - Nothing at all Roches dirty bed dirty bathroom nasty appliances
- Lisa (1/5): Horrible people place and they lied about their facilities I booked a king handicap room and they gave it away I ended u - Nothing Everything
- Lawrence (1/5): Bad - Roaches Roaches
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Butt (1/5): Want a refund! - Had cops called on me and worst stay ever. The whole staff and people they allow to stay
- Jonathan (4/5): - Property is in dire need of maintenance and repairs, hall ways were filthy and smelled like pot, and lots of vagrants wondering around the parking lot.
- James (2/5): - Didnt stay when i got tgere the office was closed and no way to check in
- James (8/5): - Nice and quiet
- Anthony (4/5): - Dingy, filthy, needs complete renovation
- Alexis (4/5): - Door lock hardly latch, i have to lift the door up to make it latch. Place smells bad. Next door has dig that barks loudly. Hallway floor is filthy.
- MaryJane (4/5): Not so great - No amenities in room except a bar of soap.
No utensils, paper products, coffee, etc. When I asked, the excuse was “Since Covid we don’t stock anything…”. Not even a wrapped drinking cup. Nor a television remote.
Ugh. Very disappointing.
- Cherie (8/5): - The room was very simpile, it was clean, towel were great. Nothing in the kitchen drawers, need tv guide on paper or a welcome packet in the room to let you know what is around like... restaurants to activities.
- Jack (6/5): - Bathroom was filthy. Toilet seat also broken and taped together.
- Pioneer821561 (4/5): Friendly staff, but wouldn’t stay here again - I will start by saying the staff is great, but as far as the stay goes, you get what you pay for. The hotel smells as soon as you walk in. When you reach your room you can tell everything is cheap. My room grossed me out, so I slept dirty, took a shower in the morning and headed out. The hotel has a lout of potential, but If you can afford an extra $40 a night, stay at the Hilton down the street.
- Dawn (2/5): - I did not like anything about the property.
- Candace (4/5): - We arrived to a room that had not been cleaned from the previous occupant. We were told they had no other room available for us. They made no offer to clean the room or to find us another place to stay.
- paulamcunio (2/5): Our Final Stay at Suburban Extended Stay Dayton-WP AFB Hotel - We booked a king room well in advance of the arrival date, paid in advance, non refundable fee for 3 nights, entered room #225 and it was double. Moved us to king room #205 and it had not been cleaned in a long time, toilet was black inside, garbage in cans, bed sheets were not clean, dirty, moldy towels on floor, clear dried glue like clumps all over kitchen sink and counter, top and door of refrigerator, toilet, bathroom sink, etc. Asked for new room and was told no more are available but offered us a refund. We were in town for the big Air Force Marathon Race event so finding another hotel with a room for last minute walk-ins was not an option. I left for Expo and husband cleaned the room with supplies they gave him as no staff was available to clean it for us. He spent two hours scrubbing, including using a scrapper to try and get the glue stuff up. Full kitchen but no dishes, pots, silverware, cups, nothing; front desk had one pan only to loan us. We had to go to Wal-Mart and purchased basic items so we could cook. The carpeted floor was dirty and they did not have a vacuum to loan us so we had to live with that. No clean towels available till late that evening and could not get more during stay. The smell of marijuana was in the hallway of the 2nd floor continuously. The room a few down the hall from us played loud mariachi music all day that was so loud it could be heard on the entire second floor. Other guest had large, unleashed dog that we came across several times in hallways and lobby. The front deck was not manned 24 hours, one morning the place was still locked up at 9am. We have stayed in this hotel a few times in the past and didn't encounter any of the above issues. Not sure what happened but after this stay, I have to say that this would not be a good place to stay with a family, and don't stay here for a pleasure trip. If you're in town long term for work and don't need a clean, quiet room, don't need a supplied kitchen so you can cook meals in room, and your job doesn't pay for a nice place then stay here. The front desk staff was nice enough (except for one older guy) but nice didn't get us towels or a clean room. And as we checked out of our prepaid room, they hit us with a Linen Service Fee of $5.98. No notice of that in advance and we sure did not get linen service during the three day stay, except for one initial set of sheets that my husband had to put on the bed the first day. Looking back, I cannot believe we actually stayed at this hotel after arrival, but at the time we felt that we had no options. If you're reading this review, you still have other options so take them!!!
- Williette (2/5): - When we checked in a room it was smelly and look like someone has slept in the bed. I went to the staff and told them about the condition they put us in another room which was larger when we got there the bed was unmade and they had a bottle of wine on the table. It was not clean. The cleaning person apologized and I helped her clean and make the bed. I would never stay in this place again. The coffee machine wasn't working the door that you have to come in, you can't use your key. When we checked out at 8:30am on Sunday 9th there was no one at the front desk. I had to pick up the phone and let them know that we were leaving. I have never experienced nothing like this in my life. Before I left I sanitize and clean the room.
- Brian (4/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. The halls and elevator reeked of pot smoke. Horrible. We left early because of it.
