Guest Reviews
- David (8/5): Comfortable stay - The room was clean, comfortable and the shower was very relaxing with the high pressure. The hotel advertised a continental breakfast on the website, but there was no breakfast available.
- Jacob (10/5): - Nice place, restaurant next door was good!!
- Jeremy (6/5): - Overall served it’s purpose…a cheap clean room to sleep in
- LUISE (2/5): - Old, old, old. So needed of repairs. Looks like the couple running it is trying. Wonderful restraunt next door called the Blazing Bull. Motel is located in no where land . Needs to be torn down and rebuilt.
- Kate (2/5): - Beyond nasty. The rooms were dirty from the sheets being full of hair, smelling bad, and overall the worst place I have ever been to
- Susan (8/5): - Convenient access to highway and reasonable rate.
- Nora (8/5): - Just needed a quick, simple hotel for a night. The Econolodge was perfect..
- Ashley (2/5): Worst hotel stay ever and rip-off - Worst hotel stay ever. Room was old, outdated, no outlets, no lights in bathroom, wifi didn't work, tv channels were going in and out, no hot tub as stated on site, phone didn’t work, toilet made noises, area was spooky and not very lit up, and staff wasn't very friendly and had no answers on problems besides that they were having issues. Waste of money and unfortunately non refundable so just had to deal with it.
- Erin (4/5): - There were hairs in the bed and tub/ the air conditioner was off when I came in so it was incredibly hot when I arrived at 7pm. At 9pm it hadn’t cooled down enough so I had to spend $20 on a fan. The sheets were rough. The pictures online showed a waffle maker but there is no breakfast.
- Sean (10/5): - Nice place
- Andrea (2/5): - Unfit for human habitation.
- Katie L (4/5): - Man at desk was SO slow. They have a pool but it’s empty, gross, and they use the area to store trash. Holes in the walls, things are falling apart, the whole area is sketchy. Even the hotel sign of the highway is broken. Unfortunately there aren’t other hotels in this area so we are stuck.
- Jacque (10/5): - Very spacious & clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): The WORST - I booked a room for one night for my husband while he was traveling for work. He had been on the road for 16 hours and stopped to check in at 4 a.m. just to take a short nap. They told him that they did not have a reservation for him. He showed them the confirmation email and showed where he had already paid. They acted like that didn't matter. They said all that they could do was have him purchase another night. My husband was not going to pay them double for one night. We have used Hotels.com multiple times to book many rooms and this is the first hotel that we have had troubles with. It seems to me that they are just out for money rather than customer care. My husband travels alot and for now on he will be driving right past this hotel!
- Mark (6/5): - Inside room was ok a slight smell. Outside i thought it was a abandoned buiding.
- Denise (2/5): - Or dated. Burns in linen. Literally just depressing. There wasn’t even anyone in the office when i went to check in.
- Devin (6/5): - They are listed as having continental breakfast as well as a hot tub. They had neither and the office was locked every time I went except for check in, the hostess had to be paged to unlock the door.
- Jeffery (2/5): - Run down rat hole
- Everett (4/5): - The total property was rundown and the buildings were deteriorating from lack of upkeep. No pool, No hot breakfast nor any place to have one. The room had a very strong odor of smoke. The in-room coffee pot was not clean and looked like it had not been cleaned all year.
There was nothing to like about the place, so I left and did not stay the second night. I did better sleeping at a rest area in my car.
- winghoe (8/5): Sketchy but comfy - The place looks sketchy but the room was quite clean
- Vicki (6/5): - Friendly staff. Very outdated and somewhat dirty room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Uhg. Just don’t. Security issues. Bugs. Blankets - 1.) our window was broken and had a towel to try and keep the heat and bugs out shoved into it. I accidentally locked us out and my husband was able to climb in through the window.
2.) bugs everywhere. Beatles and grasshoppers at first. Cockroaches later
3. AC was loud. And manual
- John (2/5): - this place looked so bad I did not even stay, just went down the road, I maybe even closed
- Jesse (4/5): - It was a place to sleep. The front desk was friendly. The hotel needs a lot of money put into it to make it family ready. I was traveling alone but I would not have stayed their if my whole family was with me regardless of the price.
- Ann (10/5): Great stay - We had a great stay, it was quiet and clean. The lady that checked us in was friendly and knowledgeable. We would stay again
- John (10/5): Clean and Comfortable - Surprisingly clean and comfortable. Never know what you'll get at some of the less expensive highway hotels. Quick check in, despite the late hour. Thanks!
- Marie (4/5): It's creepy! - We've stayed in some not-so-good places throughout the years all over the US and this place will be memorable for that reason. The clerk on duty was friendly and helpful, but that is the only positive thing about this place. The walls were dirty, the bathroom sink and faucet looked like they haven't been cleaned with any effort in a while. The carpets need a steam cleaning, the walls need new paint, and the whole place needs to be updated. I felt like I slept with one eye open.
- Roberta (6/5): No frills - It fit the bill for an economical place to spend the night. No frills, but clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Convenient off the freeway
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The paint color was nice. Ants and spiders all over. Office locked and closed. Had to wait for receptionist to come. Given a room in the back (single woman-felt uncomfortable). Had to drive through broken glass to get to room. No breakfast, even though advertised as having it. Sign, overhang, awning, other projects in need of repair. Would not recommend it. Had to drop key in phone box as no one at office in the morning.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Eh. It'll do for the night. - There was nothing but hot water in our room, which doesn't really work for little kids baths. Also, there was no bedding for the pull out couch. Also, the pool was empty. It's still summer, someone might want to swim.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Strong pee smell, ice machine out of service, limited dining option. Fairly strong WiFi possibly due to limited number of guests staying
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not worth it
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No
- Verified traveler (8/5): - For what we needed this hotel worked out. Staff was friendly room was clean. Hotel was pet friendly & there was truck parking.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This has to be one of the worst motels I’ve stayed in! It’s really run down! While I paid $80 to stay there, it was probably more what you’d expect a $40 motel to be like.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel is very old and needs to be updated bed was very uncomfortable
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I hate to say this but the description and picture of the Econo Lodge are not accurate. It is in need of a major update. Although I will say it was clean. Our room was at the back of a lot which was a little scary. With that said if you are just looking for a place to sleep this place was adequate.
- Lisa J (4/5): Will not stay again - Run down and poor management
- Verified traveler (6/5): - WiFi and free breakfast were advertised, neither were available
- Gordon (10/5): Frequent traveler - The hotel is old but clean. The people are really nice. I called the front desk to ask where the ice machine was and the Asher me how much ice I needed, I told them enough for my ice tea mug and the reply was I will be right there. Five minutes later he was at the door with a bucket of ice. I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I was taken back by the age Of this facility the inconvenience of checking in the inconvenience of checking out at 5:30 in the morning and no one is in the office to return key or to check out
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Handy location. Comfortable bed clean facility
- Melissa (8/5): Just a stop for the night - Rooms were clean, but did have a smell. We never turned on the TV, but our neighbors wouldnt work. Property was run down and needed care, but the hosts were friendly.
- Joyce (4/5): Big disappointment - Older hotel that needs a lot of attention and updating. Our King room had a terrible odor. Very disappointed.
- Joan (8/5): Huge room! - The lady who checked us in was very polite and quick. We checked in at 1am. The room was huge. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs in my group and space was NOT an issue. There were minor plumbing issues, but nothing not easily and quickly fixed. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Overall it did not hinder our rest. The beds were firm but comfortable. We would stay again on our way through.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid this place. - No internet access. Mouse Poop on the night stand and spider webs all over the ceiling.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Owners keep the place clean and are very nice
- Jude M. (6/5): - Website stated there was on-site restaurant, bar and complementary breakfast. There was none of that! There are some changes because of Covid if that is the case it should be said/noted on the website!
- N (2/5): - Nothing it was run down. The parking lot was rough.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Reserved room---or not? - I had booked my stay, using my "free night" ($43.84 worth---minus $5 charge to use). I checked in using my ID (hadn't printed off the reservation). She found me in the "system" (I thought), got everything rung up (but my reservations requests were NOT honored---2 beds, accessible bathroom) & once given the room rate (after having initialed & signed all), it was $25 more than hotels.com had quoted---which I had prepaid! Upon telling her this & showing her the confirmation email on my phone, she called someone (her boss/husband?) & asked about it. "There is nothing I can do about it", she said. "YOU have to call to make it right." I asked for a copy of the receipt (wouldn't have gotten one otherwise, I don"t think) & noticed it WAS in my name, "missing address", but correct city & state, and charged to a credit card I don't even have. So, I decided not to call---unless I get a charge for it on my REAL credit card---since I had already paid & this wasn't a card I have.
She DID bring an extra towel, pillow & a chair to put in the tub, since the accessible bathroom was already "booked" (probably by ME!)
Just a confusing mess at check-in. Other than that, everything else was fine. Room was comfy & service good. The motel is NOT new, but everything was serviceable (except the microwave plug kept falling loose, so had to hold it in to use the microwave---even for 30 seconds!)
- Kimberly (8/5): Great service! - Bobby at the front desk was very pleasant & accommodating. The handicapped-accessible room had already been booked, so he brought me a chair to put in the tub. Also, he quickly brought extra towels & offered to get anything else we needed. The room was comfortable & adequate, although definitely not new. Would gladly stay there again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quick trip. - This is an older hotel but it was clean and quiet. Not fancy, but I was just sleeping there and was alone on the trip so it was fine.
- Cliff (4/5): - Had to ask for pillows, and had roaches in our room
- Verified traveler (4/5): off my list - the doors look like they could be kicked in real easily
- Carlos (8/5): Nice, clean, economical - Nice clean spot, good spot to stay on the drive through.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We like that it’s really quiet and the folks are so friendly, this was a great place to stay overnight. Thanks!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean but smelled bad. Air conditioner was loud. Pool was closed!
- Clinton (8/5): Comfy cozy - Not bad comfy for price
- Jasmine (8/5): A clean place to sleep for the night - Room was dated but clean and quiet. Everything worked. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was minimal but tolerable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We did not even attempt to check in! This place looked deserted - very poor condition. Only two vehicles in the parking lot. We were looking for a cheap room as we were only going to be there for 7 hours - long enough to sleep and take a shower. We drove around the lot and right on out of there!!
- J (6/5): - Nothing unique couldn’t tell if the place was open or not because of weeds over growing around the office and the pool. Couldn’t find anybody to check in. The bed sunk 8 inches when I said on it. I’m not a heavy person. Terrible backache. Not worth even the low rate I paid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Older building but okay - This place is okay or a quick overnight stay to simply get some rest. The building is a little older (circa 1980s) & the rooms could use some updating but the front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I woke up with a Beetle crawling on me and cockroaches in the bathroom it was horrible. Absolutely horrible.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Beside the fact that the desk clerk was pleasant there was nothing good about the property. It was run down with weeds and scrub and trash. I had a view of a restaurants dumsters 20 feer from my door. The room seemed clean at first glance, til the dead bug right in the middle of the bathroom floor. Econolodge never again anywhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Easy location to get to and leave to get back on the highway. Breakfast bar was simple. About the only thing only that was little off was the curtains not cutting off enough light at night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked how close I was to the highway and gas station. Checking in was good as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is the ideal road trip stop. The motel is fine an rooms are spacious. The staff was the nicest we met on our whole trip. There are 2 gas stations, fast food, and a great restaurant right beside the motel that you can walk to no problem. The bar/restaurant beside it, The Brazen Bull, has really good food for very reasonable prices and even does a discount for guests. Very happy to have stopped here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was great for a nights sleep. We checked in late and were able to get settled right in
- AR (8/5): - Service and check in were on point. Pet friendly. Plenty of space to walk around and I felt mosGood price. The hotel itself is run down my room was as clean as I could expect it to be considering its condition. I thought the carpet and bedding were clean. Mini fridge and microwave were also very clean. Its in walking distance of late night food. Close by to dollar store, interstate, post office, car wash.
- Jan (10/5): Safe convenient and clean - The place was quiet, clean and comfortable. Nice supply of hot water for my bath and hot coffee I could make in my room. The people were friendly and helpful. The area is not fancy, but it felt safe and was super convenient to the highway and had a gas station right next door.
- Jeff (10/5): - The property is very well cared for, as are its guests.
- Martha (8/5): - Nice staff, bathroom fixtures are old but clean. Sheets were new, clean, but rough.
Breakfast was fairly good, fruit, cereals, waffles donuts, and juice.
- Mich (8/5): - Was pleasantly surprised, bed was comfortable, room was clean and very quiet. Breakfast was just powdered donuts and waffles but exactly what I expected for the price
- Stephen (4/5): - Felt dirty, mystery stains. We bought our own sheets and used those instead of the ones provided.
