Guest Reviews
- Carolyn (8/5): - The air conditioner was find but the room was half clean. I did not have the breakfast
- ladonna (2/5): - His is a horrible and nasty place to stay to the point I checked out and loss money. I was booked to stay for 2 nights due to moving my daughter in college. Once I got there and checked in, I notice people were complaining about the air so I asked the lady at the front desk is something room with the air, she politely said no. I said I hope not and went to my room. Got to the room and there was no air moved to another room no air and the refrigerator freezer had been left half open to the point the ice was froze to the point it was stopping it from closing. You could tell no one had been in that room to clean it due to how dirty it was and the open froze over refrigerator. Please do not stay there. I left and had to drive an hour away from my daughter school just have somewhere to stay when I was just 10 mins if most from her school. The clerk told me I would be refunded but that was a lie they lied and kept it. My loss lesson learned
- willie (8/5): - Ants in the room and outdated bathroom, refrigerator and dirty microwave with the carpet dirty and stained
- Charlie (10/5): - Quiet and comfortable
- Raymond (10/5): - N/a
- Betty (8/5): - Quiet
- Robin (6/5): - Staff was very friendly, but the property was off it's game. NO towels in room upon check-in, had to change out TV remote, Fitness Center being renovated.
- Precious (8/5): - Great stay clean room i didn't want service because it was only me only thing i asked to do was bring me fresh towels and they put them in my room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel front desk never answer the phone...the refrigerator was not cleaned out....other than that it wasn't bad
- Justin (10/5): - Great place to spend a night in Clarksdale.
- Kenyata (2/5): - Let me start by saying that the front desk staff was wonderful! They were friendly and accommodating. That is where the compliments end. Firstly, the condition of the hotel is rundown. They advertise a pool that they no longer have, so if you are looking to swim, do not rent at this location! From there, there were numerous inconsistencies with the hotel, tub was dirty and stained, the air conditioner was coming apart though it was working.I was with a large party and most of our air conditioners did not work and required maintenance. Please note that they do not switch out your room if your air conditioner is working, they send maintenance to service and it still halfway works. There were minor things that I will adjust, but were as big of a deal to me like there were no batteries in my alarm clock, and there was no back to the tv remote control. aside from the overall condition of the hotel, my biggest issue that I ran into was with the hotel housekeeping we stayed a total of two nights. After night one, the housekeeper came to the door and asked if we would like to clean. I told her no and asked for additional washcloths. She did bring those however, once we left the hotel She went into the room anyway and changed out trash and took the extra towels that she gave us. Housekeepers unfortunately do not wear any name tags so there was no way to identify her. This made me feel uneasy and that she was searching for stuff in our rooms after we left thankfully, nothing was missing.
- Martha (10/5): - The staff treated me like royalty. The food was delicious. The room was excellent. The area had lots of lighting and made me feel safe. I will visit again.
- Tonya (8/5): - Hotel on the mail strip with restaurants and stores.
- Ronald (8/5): - Easy access
- Cheyanna (10/5): - Love the home away from home feeling!
- Michael (6/5): - Ordinary motel. Don’t understand the wonderful rating.
- Devon (4/5): - Paid for two queens, and requested a cot for the third person but only received double beds and staff said they don’t have any cots. I specifically booked this hotel because it advertised a gym and a pool; both were decommissioned upon arrival, and staff indicated the gym was being used as storage. Requested extra bedding and staff indicated they didnt have any blankets. Disappointed.
- Terrionne (10/5): - Excellent experience. Would definitely book again and recommend to others.
- Shani (8/5): Outdated but not the worst - Stay was ok, the comfort was stain but I just removed it. The air conditioner needs to change out. The rooms felt stuffy throughout the stay. Overall it work for what I needed it for.
- Angela (6/5): Could have been better - The carpet along tje wall had yellow paint on it, and the toilet was stopped up i askedcpuld someone come unstop the toilet they handed me a plunger for me to do it the tub wouldn't drain properly the comforter had yellow stains all over it and the tub alsl had rust around the drain cover thing and the shower curatin had blood stain on it.
- Anthony (10/5): - Shower didnt have a shower curtain. Breakfest was cold. Other than that my stay was excellent.
- Cassandra (10/5): - All the staff was great. The room was nice and clean.
- Gordon (8/5): - Friendly setting.
- Sharon (10/5): - My stay was great
- Mark (8/5): - Easy to get to anywhere in Clarksdale
- michael (8/5): - Affordable
- Janeal (2/5): - The staff was nice but the room had stained sheets and blankets, the floors were dirty. Also the toilet seat had stains on it. For the price the breakfast should’ve been way better. You can tell it was rushed. Also no elevators we had to walk up and down stairs with luggage. I couldn’t even sleep on the sheets they were stained I slept on top with my own blankets.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, no frills hotel with great service - Friendly, polite and helpful staff, spacious rooms and $15 cab ride from central Clarksdale
- Reginald and Ericka (6/5): - it was an ok stay the staff was nice, it's an old decent hotel to stay at, it had a bit of an odor but it wasn't a deal breaker. this is not a resort and it was ok to stay at for a weekend especially if all you are doing is sleeping there
- Paul (4/5): Maintenance issues - The tub has a plastic liner that is broken. Base board in the bedroom is damaged and falling off of the wall.
- Anquinette (8/5): - Safe and quiet
- Trena (10/5): - Desk clerk was very welcoming, greeted us upon the doors opening. Fast and efficient check in.
- maria (2/5): - Ist of all, i gave up a rate of $174 at another hotel to pay $293 at Quality Inn. VERY BAD CHOICE! Once i checked in and was given the door key to rooom 129, i had to walk back and forth 2 times to let the desk clerk know that key was not working. I had a very heavy suitecase and a bag on my shoulder. Going up and down that longggggg hall was no fun. Finally, the clerk took the key and tried it four times before he decided to give me another room. The room looked like it had not been cleaned. There wereno face cloths. There were 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. There was a spot of urine on the base frame of the toilet. Deplorable. I was tooo tired to complain anymore for that night. This is the worse part. The sheet came up from the mattress at the top corner closet to the night stand and what looked like vomit on the mattress that had not been throughly cleaned. I got in Saturday night around 10 pm or so and covered that spot over the sheet best i could. My rest was not good after seeing someone elses waste that my head had slept near!!!!
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR ME AT ALL.
THE breakfast was great except there was no meat for non pork eaters and no coffee cups.
- Allen (10/5): - Comfortable stay
- Janice (2/5): - The customer service is terrible! The night front desk clerk had no knowledge of things going on at hotel not even the phone number! The day clerk Mona is a racist, ill tempered old menopausal witch that act as ghetto as ever. We will never try to stay there again and spread the word. Plus they have bedbugs, my cousin had to be hospitalized from the bites!
- John (6/5): Rates a 6. - Common areas a bit dirty. Breakfast had a nice selection. TV lost input setting every time it was turned off.
- Sheila (10/5): - Nothing unique but it was nice
- dewayne (6/5): - It was ok
- Mark (6/5): - It’s a solid 3 star. It was pretty cheap and the rooms/facilities were clean. Reasonably quiet. The breakfast was pretty awful. Very little food and the coffee was undrinkable. The hotel was cheap and clean but eat breakfast somewhere else.
- LaVonda (10/5): - Very nice place, people were friendly. This is my go-to place when i come to Clarksdale.
- Mary (6/5): - We spent 4 nights during a festival, no morning coffee was made until the final day of our stay. Some mornings no paper plates for your waffles? Towels need to be requested. It’s time to step up, Quality Inn. Clarksdale is depending on you to host its visitors. We were very happy with the renovations, and had a great room on first floor. Staff was very friendly each time I pestered them! Would stay again, it felt safe enough.
- Cassandra (10/5): - Soft pillows and Great !!! customer Services from the front desk to our room Everyone showed kindness to me and my husband. We will be back!!!
- henrik (8/5): - A fine hotel for just one night on the Road
- Clinton (10/5): - Good
- Milya (10/5): - Excellent stay‼️
- Lashaunte (4/5): - Check in was very slow due to GM quitting, room was cold and heat did not work, maintenance never came.. no elevator and room was in the second floor we had a lot of luggage to carry up
- Milya (10/5): - Excellent stay, will stay again!
- Jamela (8/5): - Will book again
- Tina (6/5): - The front desk clerk, Mona, was a little snappy at check in.
Told me it would be faster for her to do the job than to explain it to me. When it comes to me spending my money and how it's coming out my account, I would like to know. The rest of the staff that we interacted with were very pleasant and welcoming.
Our room was not the cleanliest. There were hair balls under the foot of the bed and a couple hair beads in the bathroom. Although this seems little, it makes one think of how well the room was cleaned. There were several red stains on the carpet.
There is no pool at this location or an elevator. If I had known there wasn't a pool I would not have booked with this hotel. Overall, the hotel isn't that bad. Just need more welcoming front desk staff, and to remove that the hotel has a pool...its misleading.
- Morgan (4/5): - First room’s door wouldn’t stay shut, and we immediately switched rooms. The second room they gave us had a broken toilet, the tile in the bathroom was busted and the carpet was sticky. Room Service took our towels that we had hung up and did not replace them. Then we tried to do laundry to find out that it was broken with no plans to repair. None of the hotel doors other than the front door worked properly. The lobby and hallways are 80 degrees. There is no elevator if you are given a second floor room. I feel bad for the working people like us assigned to Clarksdale because even after all that; this is still one of the better places in town to stay. There are no nearby safer or cleaner alternatives in which to stay. The hotel’s interior was relatively clean and we did not have any problem with bugs.
- Remond (10/5): - Staff was nice & friendly .rooms was great!! Just need more breakfast selections
- Torrance (8/5): - My family's stay is always pleasant at Quality Inn. Only downside is breakfast is always limited there.
- Barbara (2/5): Don’t stay at this hotel!! - The worst experience we’ve ever had. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. It went downhill from there. We rented adjoining rooms which were filthy. The toilets had not been cleaned, long black human hairs on the floor of the bathrooms, the carpets had a musty, dirty smell, plus we only had a half roll of toilet tissue. We were shocked someone had left a half gallon of milk and a cucumber in the refrigerator. How could you consider a room clean if the maid had not discarded those? It is a rare occasion for us not to leave a tip for the maid. That did not happen! If we had not been so tired and had already pre-paid for the rooms, we would have left and gone somewhere else. My husband said the breakfast was adequate. I can assure we will never stay there again, and strongly suggest you remove the word Quality from your sign.
- Kevin (10/5): Great Night Because Of Rodney - We just came from the hospital with my mother. I was very stressed out. Rodney went way over what was expected of him to help us. He even carried my mother's luggage to our room. He didn't have to do that. Thank you. That night Rodney was a blessing.
- Paul (4/5): - Rarely leave reviews but I want to help someone else not make the same mistake I did. The entire property is completely run down. Checked in to the first room, was 90 degrees in there. A/C not working and found pubes all over the toilet. Freaking gross. We got moved to a new room which reeked of a smoke smell but we were too tired to move again. Bathroom was falling apart, toilet paper roll separated from the wall, toilet didn’t flush properly, shower curtain ripping off the rod, shower wall was damaged, water damage spots all above the shower, no trash can. AC couldn’t keep the room cold enough. The back door card reader was completely ripped out so no way to get in that door. Breakfast was non existent, yogurt and a nasty looking waffle maker, and we all got sore throats after sleeping in the room for one night. I was pleasantly surprised that our stuff was still in the room after we went out to get some food. I would recommend finding somewhere, anywhere else to stay
- Cortney (6/5): No swimming pool - It was a really nice hotel the only thing is they advertised they have a pool and they definitely do not
- Ward (2/5): - Simple review: stay someplace else. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The counter staff were accommodating and friendly, but beyond that this is a flea bag and I do not recommend anyone stay here.
- Brenda (4/5): - At first glance it was obvious that the property was going through a renovation. The desk attendant was very professional and sweet. Check in was smooth with the exception of not getting a king room as requested when I made my reservation. This was where the problems started. I am disabled and climbing stairs is extremely difficult for me. Our keys were for upstairs rooms, we asked where the elevator was. There was no elevator. We asked if there was any possibility of getting a downstairs room due to my issue. She apologized but said all the rooms downstairs were taken. My husband and son helped me up the stairs. My sons room was fine. My room was still full of paint and trash. Obviously not rentable. I called the front desk and the young lady (I forgot her name) came upstairs immediately with keys to a new room. She looked into the original room and profusely apologized. Again, she is the only reason we didn’t change hotels.
Fast forward to late night. We went to a wonderful Blues Club (Ground Zero Blues Club, Excellent!!!) when we returned we asked the clerk if we could have a late checkout. The clerk was rude and immediately said No. She stated that she wasn’t the manager and couldn’t approve that and if we were not out by 11:00am we would be charged for another day. I asked if she would leave a message for the manager. Then all of the sudden she said we could stay till 11:30. She was not very friendly. The property has possibilities with the right management team.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good Stay - The staff were amazing with some of the best customer service you would normally find in a 4-5star hotel. This hotel is great location to restaurants and stores. The only bad thing is that it needs a lot of updating as far a the rooms. Otherwise it's was good place to sleep
- Alexis (10/5): - Everyone was really nice and the property was very convenient. Would definitely book here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was under renovation and severely understaffed. The people who were there tried their best and were very accommodating as they were in short of supply of food and other necessities.
- Kathy (2/5): - I booked a room with a king bed and they gave us a room with two queens. They also gave us a room on the second floor. We are handicapped and they did not have a elevator. They said they had laundry facilities and they were not ready. They said the had breakfast the first day they had eggs and sausage the next day they did not the next day they did not have orange juice.while we were there we saw no one taking care of the place we were eating. They told us they had a king size bed but the tv and refrigerator was not hooked up. This place should be shut down until they can get this place ready. They even had the doors in the back open with a stick because the electric opener was not hooked up.I will never stay there again and I feel I am entitled to a refund because this place was not ready to be in business.
- Peter (4/5): - Floor has food on it
- RYOHEI (8/5): - Very clean room.
- John (4/5): - The night staff Ms. Mina was
The only entity that madee we staying at this facility worthwhile. Other that that I would
Never stay at a quality inn. It is clear that the profit is much more important than the client
- James Charles (4/5): - Nothing works here. Malfunctioning everything. Our room not even vacuumed from last party. Really dreadful place
- Lashunda (2/5): DISRESPECTFUL, HURTFUL, NOT LOYAL - I am allergic to dogs. My room had dogs in it and it was not clean. The air didn't work, plus i had to endur sickness.
I came in over in the morning dur to a 911 family emergency. However once I complained early am of the 15th and have yet to hear from the General manager even though I left my number. This has been awful. They told me they didn't know who the owner or have a gm number. The manager of the shift was the other one was able to show me a email. I feel i am owed an apology or something.
- Pam (8/5): - Rooms have new carpet and furniture. But, the frig didnot work and the air conditioner made a lound npise all night.
- Sam (6/5): Okay Experience / Elevator not Working - The room was modern, comfortable, and clean. The elevator was NOT working and I still was assigned a room on the second floor with no explanation why I could not get a room on the first floor.
- Woodward (10/5): - Our room was clean and well-supplied. Good wifi, hot water, comfortable bed, and quiet HVAC. Elevator needed for upper-floor rooms. Breakfast was good and included scrambled eggs and sausage. But NO COFFEE!?! Very disappointing, although staff apologized and gave supplies for in-room coffee. If “the box didn’t arrive,” authorize staff to go to a nearby grocery store and buy some ground coffee.
- Steven (4/5): - Dirty look and feel. Burned curtain in room. We tried to get out our 3 night stay but the hotel would not oblige.
- Linda (10/5): - It was good. Just the tv was hard to turn on and the bathtub needs replaced. It was not suitable to take a bath in. Also some of the need replaced. The 2 receptionist was very nice and accommodating.
- Trena (8/5): - Property is under renovation. Room had construction dust, cable box box not connected and no shower curtain in the room. Appeared to not have any final inspection after renovation the room was "completed"
- Brenda (2/5): Fraudulent activity - Terrible! I didn’t even stay there! Someone stole my card info and booked a room and I couldn’t do anything about it but report it to my bank. There should be stricter ways to verify a persons identity before booking a room on your credit card.
- THomas (6/5): A work in progress - No full breakfast. TV didn't work easily.
- Artesha (4/5): - You could not access rooms unless you entered through lobby. Rooms were on 2nd floor, but no elevator. Stairwell was dirty with mirrors that were removed from rooms. No breakfast nor coffee. Cleaning staff were not friendly. Actually told us we had to go to front desk for towel. Pay later option was not effective. Credit card was used without discussion. Asked to pay cash and was told we could not. I do not think we will ever stay here again.
- Trena (8/5): - Staff very friendly, and hospitable. Property is under renovation, there were some cosmetic flaws wth the room, im sure will be updated once renovations are completed.
- Brianna (10/5): - It was a nice experience.
- Shane (2/5): Don't Stay Here - You would think that since it was a chain hotel that the room would be clean but that was not the case and it was also unsafe. The smoke alarm had been covered with a plastic wrap which I am sure violated fire code and the bath tub had mold and rust. When you stepped onto the bath tub anti slip mat it was so slick had I not been able to catch myself it could have been a serious fall. When I reported the room condition the next morning the desk clerk said, "you should have never been given that room."
- Kim (10/5): - Staff was really friendly. The outside of the building was trashy, the door that was supposed to stay shut and locked was always propped open, and the hallway smelled of strong use of marijuana.
- Candace (8/5): - Good and queit
- Willie (2/5): - We reserved two rooms one for 7 days the other for two. Our room keys stopped working aftet 3 days. The continental breakfast wad non ecistent for 5 of the 7 days
- Music in (8/5): - Easy, clean, safe
- Deborah (4/5): - There was no elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor. There was no bread for toast. The eggs I don’t think were eggs. Would not stay here again.
- Connie (2/5): Sad - They need to go ahead an renovate and train front desk properly. Every employee should look professional and wear a standard uniform. It was just a mess. Glad we only stayed one night.
- carla (8/5): - the service was good registration lady can't remember her name upon our arrival was really great she did her best to make our stay go well
- Starr (2/5): - Our reservation was given away, very un professional, unorganized I’ll never visit again
- THOMAS (4/5): - The property needs a major upgrade
- Arthur (6/5): - No elevator, rooms had musty smell and roaches
- Robert (8/5): - Fair price for the accommodations. Good working man’s hotel
- Wayne (8/5): - Building was sufficient for what we needed for over its stay
- Peggie (4/5): Need Upgrades badly! - This hotel needs major upgrades and improvements very badly. The carpet in the room is very dirty which i believe causes the room to smell bad (we had to purchase room deodorizer to spray the room to try to erase the smell, but it didnt work for long). The bathroom tub was terrible. Even when they clean the tub, it still appears dirty! Unless the hotel is upgraded/rrnovated, husband and i will not stay again.
- Bernice (2/5): - My room was dirty kids playing on the halls
All times of night
- Tyrhonda (6/5): - No swimming pool. Had too ask for towels house keeping didn’t stop by.
- Karen (6/5): - The staff provided very good service and friendly assistance. I was very disappointed as the amenities did not match its advertised listing online (specifically, there were no elevators and no pool). Having a second floor made it difficult for carrying luggage upstairs. Additionally, keys to the room had to be re-keyed for entry into the room upon my second night’s stay. The keys did not always work with the outer doors on occasions.
- Kathy (8/5): - Service was great, everyone was so nice and helpful. The first room wasn’t that great. We checked in late so I didn’t let anyone know about not having a TV in the room. But next day I did and they took care of it, they gave me a new room and it was so much better in every way.
- Emanuel (6/5): - This hotel is in desperate need of proper maintenance. Over the course of 3 days, the cleaning staff never vacuumed the carpet in the hallways. I couldn't figure out how to work the TV, the smoke detector in my room was missing, and the bathtub had rust stains and drained slowly. I asked to switch rooms but the air conditioner in that room was broken. The young lady at the front desk, Zai, eventually showed me how to work the TV but she had a dismissive attitude, and she did not rectify any of the other issues. Also, by 8:30am the waffle mix for the complimentary breakfast was already gone and they do not replace it for the remainder of the breakfast time.
- Carl (6/5): - The rooms around dated sum of the exterior doors did not work with the key system
- Kenny (10/5): - Was very satisfied went to Ground Zero blues club and just needed 1 night was perfect
- Rachel (4/5): Not worth it - They gave us an upstairs room no elevator in the hotel it stink the bathtub is rusted 30 and look like someone chewed on the door
