Guest Reviews
- Caldwell (1/5): Walking into the lobby of this property I thought the rooms were going to be very nice. I was sadly mistaken. The rooms -
- Ayanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belyn (3/5): Never again. Makes me question Wyndom as a provider - Not much. Nobody to check me out ar 6:55 waited and finally just left. Not recommended . Bathroom was substandard. Hallways stank the whole time.
- Kelly (7/5): Good - staff shampoo
- Klock (9/5): Unique remodeled rooms with a unique approach to downtown Vicksburg living. - Excellent location. Excellent staff (very helpful). No breakfast was available other than for pay. Carpet and other repairs were underway during the day and the desk staff seemed very busy (short handed?). Overall an excellent facility with lots of history in a superb location. More staff, and particularly at the main desk and bar area.
- Valura (8/5): Great - Convenient View of the river
- Travis (10/5): - Easy check in. Free parking. Free WiFi. Cool lobby areas. Giant pool. Great views from room. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to walk to Washington Street for shopping, restaurants, and bars. Safe area in historic downtown by the Yazoo River and Mississippi River.
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (2/5): Don’t not stay here. - Nothing The area was in an abandoned part of town and there was almost nothing open nearby. There were hairs from previous guests in the sink and bath and a large piece of the ceiling had fallen off. There was nothing to eat or drink in the hotel and the staff were not interested at all. We’d had paid for 2 nights but left after one.
- Amy (8/5): Good choice - Hotel is very nice and clean. Staff friendly. Only complaint is that the bed made noises every time you would sit down or turn over. Would benefit from better lighting and more plug in spots
- Justin (8/5): QUALITY RIVER SIDE LODGING - Hotel was clean and nice though it’s a little pricey and difficulty navigating my bags up their stairwell but it’s on the river and overall quality
- Jay (10/5): - Staff and hotel are as advertised. Will stay here again.
- Sue (4/5): - The lobby was nice. The staff not overly friendly. Rooms very tired, worn and needed updating. Off the beaten path. Never saw another person (s) staying there.
- Destini (6/5): - The hotel is very. The staff at the front desk wasn’t the best.
- Joseph (2/5): - Our hallway smelled like raw sewage. There was a massive hole in the wall where a water/sewage leak occurred. All of the baseboards were gone from a water/sewage leak. I have pictures.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent price, but that's it - Seems like they are renovating? Cool lobby, but property is pretty old. Bed frames that are meant to look modern thud with each movement during sleep
- Jamie (10/5): - Staff was friendly! Clean property and rooms!
- Truman (6/5): Little disappointed. - Hotel is beautiful and clean. Checkin was easy. Kids love the game room in lobby. Furniture could use a bit of updating in room. I understand keeping with retro theme but chair in room was well worn. Room had been updated otherwise with usb ports. Would give 5 stars if not for being unable to take warm/hot shower. I thought with our late return to hotel, hot water tank may have ran low but even in the morning, water would not get warm. Told desk when checked out but all we got was "I'll check on that."
- Michael (4/5): Train? What Train? - Woken up both mornings at 6:45 am by a local train with a loud horn near the hotel. Hotel staff didn't seem to care. No restaurant to speak of. Ice machine didn't work. Staff members were taking the Handicapped parking spots. People friendly, but hotel is, by and large sub par. No public art display, contrary to advertising. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
- Tonya (8/5): - Its location for historic downtown vicksburg was great. Was close to historic cemetary and battlefield and museums. Right on port, i have a 3 year old, he loved hearing and seeing the train pass by, and seeing the riverboats docked. Not related to hotel, but i love to walk, Vicksburg is super hilly...bring your walking shoes...you may get sore.
- Frank (6/5): No Hot water! - Not enough lighting in the room.
The hot water did not work. Therefore we could not shower! We deserve a discount or free stay somewhere else
- Rodrick (10/5): - We stayed in a really nice room with a great view!
- Tony (4/5): - No hot water. Did not get the room I booked
- Michelle (8/5): - Cool hotel! Very old/Historic which I loved. very clean
- James (6/5): - Difficult property for those who have health or mobility issues.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful older hotel that was close to downtown area.
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (8/5): - The property is nice, particularly the lobby with it's sitting room, billard room, cafe/bar and open art gallery. However, the heat was not working in the lobby so no one really hung out in the bar area and the staff had portable space heaters scattered around.
The room was nice, a bit smaller than usual but it's an older building so somewhat expected. Two things that were not great though was the lack of water pressure and the sheer, see-through curtains with bright streetlights outside.
- Matthew (4/5): Not worth jt - The lobby and first floor of the hotel are super nice but that’s where it stops. The room was nothing to right home about, the bed was super uncomfortable, the bathroom needs a lot of work and the water pressure was pitiful. Won’t be staying here again.
Not to mention the smell of weed was so strong it’ll peel your hair back.
- Donald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cristy (8/5): - The room felt dated. Poor lighting…. Staff was helpful and friendly.
- Sheila (1/5): Bad -
- Bridgette (10/5): - This hotel is so stinkin cute, i just loved it. Wished we were we there for more than 1 night. Although it was too cold for swimming, the pool are looked so nice from our room view. Love that they are dog friendly! Our two mini long haired dachshunds lived it too :)
- Mary Witty (2/5): - room was not what was advertised, reeked of cigarette smoke. very poor conditions
- Sophia (6/5): Cramped room. No microwave - My main complaint is that there was no microwave in the room. There wasnt even one in the lobby to use. And the room was really cramped.
- Minnie (8/5): - The hotel was clean and neat. The only thing I would suggest would be to have an extra chair in room with desk. Also it would be great to have a dining option. It was very quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Would stay again if opportunity presents itself.
- Edward (8/5): Down south road trip - Comfortable room overlooking pool and river. Plenty of parking. Bar and restaurant disappointing. Just an extension to check in counter, with limited options. The aircon in public areas too cold.
- Texasjb (10/5): Best hotel in Vicksburg - Fantastic lodging experience, once again. The staff has always been exceptional. The facilities always clean and well maintained. Great location to downtown (walkable). The amenities eg. lobby bar with food options, pool, exercise room, game room, art gallery, have always been wonderful.
- Brenda (10/5): - Is an old hotel but absolutely amazing. I love that you can observe the history within. We check in late the hotel was empty but the security guard and the beautiful pregnant clerk were amazing . I hate that we couldn’t stay longer.
- Oliver (7/5): Good -
- KMaryan (8/5): Kay - Hotel was clean although services were not up to par... no food offered not even room service. Some of the front desk personnel were not very knowledgeable about the hotel services. Printer was not available. No microwave in room
- Jaela (10/5): Worth it! - The atmosphere was inviting with clean rooms to top it off. N/A
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaye (9/5): Superb -
- JP (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Room and staff were excellent. Will be staying again soon.
- Dale (10/5): So fun! Loved having our pizza from Milano’s in the cozy room off the lobby - Olivia at the front desk is incredibly kind and personable .
- John (10/5): Great experience! - Clean, comfortable stay! I slept like a baby! Very secure. You have to use your room key to access the elevators. Great staff. I would stay over and over.
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (8/5): Staff, bed and location were good, the rooms just seemed a bit dated. - The carpets seemed old and the bathroom needed better amenities. There were cigarette burn marks on the tub next to the toilet.
- Mark (6/5): Ok for a night. - Location was great but room was dated and grubby. Room was grubby and staff were short on information
- Jessica (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Heather (8/5): Good stay - It was a great stay. There needs to be a better sign to show where to check in. Came for a softball tournament. Girls enjoyed the pool as well. Breakfast is NOT continental
- Anne (9/5): Stayed a couple of nights, good parking, great location to town, good pool area - Clean, comfortable and a good location
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (8/5): Exactly what we needed. - It was clean and car park was nice and close. It advertised that breakfast was included but when we asked the front desk it was suggested that we went to a cafe up the street.
- Eunsook (6/5): Pretty good place to stay. - The location was close to everything. Like the pool table, art gallery too. And the staffs were friendly. Had quite 5ft deep pool. *Breakfast was not included/ the staff explained, they have sandwich for $4, will heated to serve for you.
The advertisement should change about this.
*I wish the pool was cleanner, live and dead insects everywhere.
* mini refrigerator wasn't working or they don't have.
- Brownlee (8/5): Pleasant stay nice updated building lobby and restaurant. Downtown near everything. - It was a great location parking was convenient and the lobby and rooms were beautiful. Staff was really nice also. Food at cafe was good and everyone was helpful. Pool area nice looking like a resort. Loved the art gallery too. Pool was nice but it had so many fish flies were so abundant I had to beg my daughter to stay on the water there was clobs of them in there. Also with how beautiful the lobby is I thought the rooms would be more updated than they were.
- Shamra (10/5): Exceptional - The decor was amazing. Very beautiful inside!:)
- Tracey (6/5): - The property was central but we stayed on a Monday and everything was closed except one restaurant which was good so no issues. The property was exceptional in the communal areas but the bedroom was dated and looked like a motel. The bed was extremely comfortable. The pool was lovely but went to sit on the seats next to the infinity area and it overflowed to a stagnant pond which was awful and full of mosquitoes, it let the whole outside down.
- Yvonne (8/5): - .
- Pamela (10/5): Mulberry Vicksburg - From the time we stepped in, until we left. Service was superb. The pool was amazing. The room was clean with a view of the river. The hostess was traing someone, and rheyvwere very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. This is my new hideaway getaway
- Meshelle (10/5): - This was a lovely motel with the Friendliest staff! Charolette was so helpful and answered many questions . We will definitely be back with our grandsons to enjoy their amazing pool.
- Deborah (8/5): Charming place to stay with friendly and helpful staff -
- Ben (7/5): Good - UK visitor. Good location, easy parking for motorcycle at end of road trip.
Would stay again. Room quite small.
- Scott (10/5): Very nice - Great room and hotel!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bummed 😞 - Several minor details were off with furniture and fixtures that could be overlooked if not for the two big issues we had. First, the highly touted sunday brunch, which is listed on their Facebook page for July 7th, was not available and we were told wouldn't start back until August?(This was one of the deciding factors in our choosing this hotel) Second, my email confirmation said check in was for 3, and checkout was for 12. However, at 11:15 housekeeping was knocking on our door like the police (despite the do not disturb sign)and they informed us checkout USED to be 12 but was now 11? I wager some of this is poor listings on Hotels.com, who also appear to have overcharged us based on the rate on my receipt from the hotel vs the one from the app. (That is a dig at the app, not the hotel I know). Overall it was a pretty big letdown, and I doubt we will return. The front lobby does look very chic with its selfie wall and art gallery, just don't look up at all the water stains and mildew on the ceiling tiles.
- Malcolm (8/5): - Needs an actual bar n grill
- Verified traveler (10/5): Mostly good stay - Check-in and out very easy, covered parking across the street, pretty lobby and available seating and games were nice. Dog friendly a big plus! Great location within walking distance of places to eat and see. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. The train came by at 5am and stopped in front of the hotel, blowing the horn repeatedly.
- Kathy (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (10/5): Must not miss!! - Beautiful hotel with an amazing pool and friendly, attentive staff. I did miss having a continental breakfast, but the other amenities more than made up for it.
- Michael (10/5): Great hotel experience in Vicksburg! - Every staff member was so kind and friendly! Also really loved the layout and structure of the building and where it was located. Such a cute town! Rooms were.clean and guest services and diner were amazing! Honestly there wasn't anything I didn't like about it!
- Ronda (10/5): Exceptional - The pool was amazing. One of the cleanest pools that we used at our hotel stays!! Kudos to whoever is doing the maintenance.
- Warren (8/5): - Over all nice property. Really liked the pool. The walk to the Main Street could be better lit at night. The stairs were very dark. Know it is not the hotels issue but they s could place a complaint with the city to improve the lighting for safety.
- Jon (10/5): perfect getaway. - Fantastic views of the river. Saw barges and riverboat. Marvelous sunset over the river. Very close to national civil war park and museums.
- Sarah (10/5): - Great stay! Clean hotel and activities were available to do outside of just staying. The pool was super nice. We loved it!
- Laura (10/5): - Staff went above and beyond to care for us
- Candice (8/5): - Unplanned stop in Vicksburg and found this gem. Older building but had a beautiful lobby and great service!
- Diane (6/5): business trip - Room was not clean (hair on bathroom floor) and the room and bed were old
- Gerald Lynn (10/5): - Updates are nice.
- Melissa (7/5): 'Sip Stroll Trip - It's a beautiful place and convenient location to walking downtown. The staff were great The pool was a little dirty. And the bicycles were out of order.
- Aalyiah (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (6/5): - Look, the property is being listed as something it’s not. The pictures online do not accurately represent the property. The lobby and entrance are the nicest part of the property. The rooms are old and outdated. We stayed two nights, a different room each night. Both rooms had wet ceilings in the shower, one room smelled like a room from the 70’s with the stale ciggerete smoke smell and both rooms had discolored paint, 25 year old couches and plenty of bad caulk jobs from repairs. The “river view” is a finger of water off the main river. Most of the view is of concrete.
The parking is in a garage across the street which is pretty sketchy at best.
There is not an employee around from 11pm-7am.
The attitude from the clerk our first night was a pretty good indication she didn’t want to be there.
End of the day the website implies this is something it’s not even close to. We paid $279 a night. This is a $100 a night place at best. We won’t be back
- Gregory (4/5): - No staff between the hours 11pm 7am
- Don (7/5): Good -
- Ray Minkwon (10/5): - There is a fancy gallery in the hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel is old, run down and just gross. I had a room facing the river and it was so loud with the train, i woke up at 3 am and just left early to get on the road home.
- Arian (10/5): - Such a cool hotel! Loved the location, walkable to downtown. Great, friendly staff, comfortable beds, everything was clean. Great lobby, lounge & billiards room. Would definitely stay here again!
- Kenneth L (8/5): Good location & free pool table - Hotel was nice, clean. We enjoyed playing pool at a free table, and there was an art gallery included in the hotel. Location is close to shops on Washington Street.
- Aalyiah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheryl (5/5): My stay was fine for the purpose but way overpriced and I won’t be back! - There was no breakfast! Not even complimentary coffee in the lobby. Not impressed at all! Nothing much to like except the art gallery was pretty. Difficult to get in and out of. Rooms very sparsely furnished. Bathroom sink didn’t drain well. Tub not very clean looking. Trash on bathroom floor under counter. Not impressed for price paid!!
- Megan (10/5): - Everyone is really nice. The room is very clean
- Jacquin (8/5): Nice property - The front staff was super helpful, providing good places to eat in the area and brought extra bedding covers to the room. The room was clean and beds nice.
- alyssa (10/5): - Unique and beautiful!
- Amy (10/5): - Nice place
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (8/5): - The Mulberry is a whole vibe! A must for anyone visiting Vicksburg.
- Jimmy (6/5): - Room smelled kind of old & used but clean & friendly, maybe it was just my room 3rd floor Panamera view
- Jack (10/5): - Old rock house. Very unique!
- TyShanta (10/5): - They was very helpful and nice hotel very clean
- Donald (10/5): - Wonderful stay. Room clean and very nice.
