- Stephanie (2/5): - This property is extremely different in the pictures vs in person. The rooms and hallway were very dirty. We switched to 3 different rooms and each was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Ultimately, we did not feel safe and left the property.

- Alex (6/5): - The room was clean and totally accessible. The WiFi was also incredibly good. However, the window was open in such a way that it was not able to close until me and my partner spent 30 minutes forcibly closing it after being instructed by staff to do so. Without closing this window, we would not be able to sleep due to the sounds of the highway and train. The last complaint is that the AC wasn't very powerful.

The air did not work in the back of the suite and it was 101 degrees outside. The towels were stained. It smelled like mildew and cigarettes. The vents in the ceilings did not have covers. The blow dryer sounded like a weed eater. The lady at the front desk super nice.

- Jonathan (4/5): Disoriented Stay - The hotel room was nice, a great size and clean. However, the amenities at this hotel is super poor and disorganized. For example, the microwave is super old based on the model/color. I had to use the microwave to warm my food for 4-5 times, if not 6 times! Typically, a microwave is something that I do not use frequently, so I know once is more than sufficient for 1-2 minutes. The shower head is not working properly and the water coming out of the shower head is not so strong and widely spread, and sometimes some water is coming out of the pipe before hitting the shower head. The bathroom does not have or work the fan which makes it extra steamy and hot! In addition, I was not provided with any water bottles during my visit and the hotel does not provide any coffee or tea for the entire day, even for breakfast. I had to walk one day 20 minutes to a Starbucks just for a coffee. To finalize, I nearly lost $50 for the security deposit upon leaving and checking out and the hotel receptionist was sleeping and woke up groggy which is unacceptable! Hotel receptionists should NOT be sleeping on duty and I know this given how I seen him dressed and his hair was messed up. When I check-in the receptionist who was an Indian lady never gave me a receipt to show when I checked out, so I had to convince the morning receptionist to check and give me my $50. In the last second before my Lyft rider came to pick me up, he finally gave me my $50. Management and ownership needs to change!

There was a drunk guy running naked in the parking lot, the fridge in the room didn’t work, they did not have extra anything. If you get locked out at night, you’re screwed cause they lock the office and may or may not come out. It was definitely an experience staying at this place. Would not recommend.

- Jared (6/5): - There was an air conditioner in the room, but it was not functional. We left our windows open the entire trip to try and cool the room, but it was uncomfortably warm during the day.
- Kristy (6/5): - Situated in a sketchy neighborhood with limited dining options—though the Hawaiian restaurant across the street was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Very old and run down both inside and out. The heavy smoke smell throughout the place was hard to ignore. Despite the dated and run down condition, the bed was surprisingly comfy and appeared clean. The front desk lady was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

- Emiko (2/5): - We complained about excessive fan noise on the first day, which remained unaddressed. Despite our efforts to tolerate it, the noise became unbearable. The situation was further exacerbated by water pipes banging loudly from 3:03 AM to 4:33 AM, making our stay intolerable. We then escalated these issues to Barbara, the Assistant Manager. She informed us that a 24-hour departure notice was required. Given that our six-night booking was made through Expedia, Barbara stated she would contact them to arrange a refund for the three nights we did not stay. However, our attempt to secure this refund via Expedia was unsuccessful. We received an email from Expedia indicating they could not obtain approval from the property manager to waive the cancellation fee, and consequently, the refund could not be granted. This outcome is deeply frustrating, demonstrating a clear failure by the hotel to resolve a significant comfort issue and by Expedia to secure the promised refund, leaving us to pay for an unacceptable experience.

The whole place smelled of cooking that it made me nauseous. Absolutely horrible place. If I had not prepaid on Expedia I would have left as soon as I walked in. Avoid at all cost

No coffee in the lobby or no coffee maker in the room. You would have to go and drive to get coffee before you can start your day.

It still wasn’t ready. We wait. At 4:45 they tell us the room is ready, we go in, it’s not the room we booked. I then had to argue with the front desk staff until they finally gave me the room we booked. Then, it was filthy. The window looked at an alley way and felt incredibly unsafe, the bed was awful, the whole room was filthy, the bathroom was DISGUSTING. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We were late for dinner, and late for our event because of the room issues.

- Anne (8/5): Good stay for price - Adequate for a two day stay and I felt safe and it was quiet enough. Staff asked for preference of down or upstairs. He suggested upstairs, good call. Best part: My room was very clean. Things I could live with: Toilet was wobbly, hair dryer didn’t work, no face towel day two, just two pillows, difficult to get comfortable on bed, bed was hard but comfortable to sleep. Staff were all courteous and night staff went out of their way to make sure I had a working hair dryer. Didn’t like: It smelled like old stale smoke even though I was in a nonsmoking room. The lobby lit incense but it didn’t filter up into my room. Would stay again to save money but prefer better bed.

The staff was great but the property definitely needs an upgrade…just seems really old and worn down. They are the ones keeping it alive. I high recommend if you are on a budget. Just know you get what you pay for. Hopefully they can get more business so they can remodel.

- Zenia (2/5): - stayed here as a last resort from a long drive and only availability to fit a family of 6. as soon as you walked in, the smell of smoke penetrated the whole building not to mention the room also smelled so strong of smoke, couldn’t even turn on the a/c because it had a nasty smell combined with smoke. We got a suite room and the stove/sink area was dirty. the sink by the stove had old scraps of food in it. the stove was also very greasy and dirty. the counter where the sink area is by the bathroom was stained of what looked like blood, some red splashes which were easily able to cleaned and weren’t, there were also crumbs of who knows what on that counter. the floor was not swept or cleaned. bathtub was dirty, hairs everywhere. our room has a pull out sofa bed, no extra sheets or pillows were included at all in the room. pillows were thin as paper. everything is old and broken. overall, everything was dirty and not at all comfortable. wouldn’t recommend this place.
- Courtney (2/5): Disgusting! - I will NEVER go back! I felt very unsafe there, there was homeless people all over the parking lot, and some sleeping on the sidewalk. It’s nothing like the pictures. Right when I walked into my room I noticed something weird on the bed’s headboard- someone’s giant fake lashes were stuck on the head board! Like how do you clean the room and miss those? The room was so grimy I didn’t want to touch anything. The toilet wobbled when you sat on it, and it made the loudest noise all night. I paid $99 for a TERRIBLE dirty room. Do not go here!!!

We needed a place to stay asap and this was one of two properties that had a room available at the time. The hotel smells so gross, cigarettes pee and garbage. Our bathroom was covered in someone else’s hair and gunk all over the bathtub. There is absolutely, no breakfast there or anyone at the front desk “24/7” just disappointing.

It was surprising and felt robbed to hear it.

The other guest had some very rude children who thought it was funny to kick other guest room doors late at night. One of the main doors didn't even shut. They had all the windows open with no screens and any one could get in.The bath tub didn't even plug to hold water, the shower curtain was to short so the floor got all wet and unsafe to walk on I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone even if I hated them.

After I checked in to my room, another patron came to the front desk and asked for a refund as one of the people in her party caught somebody trying to break into their vehicle. I did not feel safe, nor did I want to keep my vehicle in the parking lot next to a strip bar with vagrants meandering around the lot. The room smelled dank, holes in the walls, old mattress, and dirty curtains. At least the room had climate control. I woukd not recommend anybody stay here unless you are up for a little adventure of "will my car be in one piece tomorrow morning?"

The hallways smelled strange, but it wasn't noticeable inside the room. The toilet in our bathroom rocked when you sat on it and got up, which was uncomfortable. In all, it served the purpose of providing a place to sleep while visiting family.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Strip club and smelly! - There is a strip club in the parking lot! Im not even kidding. The floor carpet was sticky, like the whole carpet has never been cleaned. The odor throughout the building of filth, food cooking, and mold was overwhelming. The heater worked (wall unit) but it smelled of mold also. I got there very late at night and had a nonrefundable reservation. If it was possible for me to get even part of my money back and find another place, I would have left immediately.

- Peter (6/5): Friendly Staff! - The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but what it lacks in appearance is made up by the friendly and attentive staff. Everyone always greeted me with a smile and seemed like they genuinely cared for my well being during my stay especially Barbara. They even took the time to ask me about how my stay was and if everything in my room was alright, and when I mentioned I noticed a slow drain in the sink it was fixed by the time I returned about two hours later.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible place - The place was run down, furniture was broken and or falling apart, the smoke detector was bad and kept beeping, the heater was intermittently inop. they also had poor attitude when asked to fix and customer service. Website said they're pet friendly and their hotel handbook says same thing but they are not pet friendly.

I understand Rodeway is a budget motel, but this property is over the edge in both maintenance and operation. Room condition: • Large stain on beadspread • Brown spatter across mirror • Bed light switch broken • Shower arm leak spraying water all over • Micro fridge all iced up and door shelves broken • Burn hole in beadspread • Very sloppy paint job – paint covers outlets and does not continue to wall corners • Lots of patches on walls – very poorly finished (rough) • Several divits, damaged spots in walls • Rusty toilet paper holder • Ball of hair on bathroom floor Property condition: • Strong odor in hallways • Frayed carpets • “free breakfast” comprised of toast and coffee • Loud drilling and banging on wall due to maintenance in next room until 9 pm
- Scott (2/5): All time low in hotel rental - I'm not really picky about hotels but this was a pretty bad experience. The help was poor the bed hard the room old and looked it. Breakfast which was offered wasn't there and the desk help was rude and unhelpful. I wasn't expecting much and I got a lot less. I would never go back. Not for free.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not recommend or stay again - The hotel staff was fine, they weren't friendly but they weren't rude either. The room was awful. One of the pillows did not have a pillow case and there was no toilet paper. I felt like they didn't even clean the room from the previous stay. It is also in a sketchy area and sketchy people were staying there. I was nervous and felt pretty unsafe.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad hotel next to a strip club. - This hotel was in poor shape! Everything was worn and in need of repair. Needs a major overhaul. I cannot believe it cost us $84.00. I guess I will not do any deep discount mystery bookings again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very old hotel next to strip club - Everything is old and not very well repaired. The hallways stink of cigarettes. The driveway is shared with a really run down looking strip club. The room was supposed to have a microwave and fridge, instead it had a broken fridge and a microwave so small you couldn't fit a plate in it. It reminded me of living in a dorm, except run down and smelly. The nice thing is that it was right next to the interstate (I heard nothing else while sleeping but semi trucks and trains) and so you can escape into the nicer parts of town, which isn't far.

- Christine (4/5): Eh.... - The hotel has a strip club in the parking lot, the sink wouldn't drain, the ceiling had holes in it, and the shower knob was broken. They really need to fix some of the maintenance issues. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the room was nice, etc.
- James (2/5): Dirty Run Down Hotel - Very dirty and falling apart. The area surrounding the hotel is trashy. Staff don't seem to care about their guests. I will not stay here a again.
- Scot (6/5): Affordable but basic, convenient to lightrail - Basic affordable, you get what you pay for. Positives: Affordable, great location if you want to take the MAX lightrail into the city just a 16 min ride, just walk across the freeway to Sunset TC and you save money as opposed to staying in the city. Air conditioning rapidly cooled down the room. Staff was nice. Ice and vending machine available. free Wifi worked. Negatives: TV was small and old with crap remote with sticking buttons. The shower changed temperature on me twice running out of warm water for a few seconds.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Ick - It was next to a strip club. It felt like sleeping on layers of cardboard. There were holes in the bathroom. It smelled like smoke. Breakfast was toast. WiFi was impossible. I'm super cheap so I chose here, but I've never ended with one so bad.
- Ray (4/5): Old and dated, and a bit smelly - If the rate was $30-40/night then it might not be disappointing as you'd be prepared for what you get. And they shouldn't be able to advertise breakfast as its basically one pot of coffee (so hurry before its empty) and a few prepacked danish or stale toast. And don't expect a smile from the front desk :)
- jay (2/5): Horrible place - Front staff were rude And gave no information when asked where restaurants were or what number a cab company was. Rooms were bad, ac was broken. Horrible location....Expedia says it's near airport. It cost me 60 dollars to cab to the airport. Nothing is around this place but a strip club next door.
- Mike (4/5): Pleasant enough staff, but... - After prepaying for our two rooms, we were told on several occasions that we needed to pay more. After checking their records, they found that we were paid up, but this happened at least three times during our stay. The most significant problem was than $110 worth of cosmetics (nine separate items!) went mysteriously missing after the room had been cleaned one day. Was it the maid? Was it someone who saw the room open and unattended while the maid did something else for a moment? You can draw your own inferences, as we did, but the items "lost" were a minority of the cosmetics we brought, and someone might have thought that they would not be missed. They were missed, immediately upon our return to the room. The management was informed of the loss but shrugged it off. The goods, of course, were never returned.
- Verified traveler (2/5): You get what you pay for - Our room was dirty. Found hair in the bed. Old pictures left in the room drawn by previous guests. The shower was terrible. It went from extremely hot to extremely cold without touching anything. Everything was outdated.
- Kelly (2/5): Frustrated by management's lack of consideration - I booked this room last minute during the snow storm of February 2014. The room we were given was so cold that there was snow inside the windowsill. I felt a cold breeze inside the room. My husband complained to the main desk which was nice and toasty they brushed him off. They stated the heater just needed more time to heat the room. The hallway was warmer than the room. The heater kept blowing cold air and there was moisture dripping off the heater. I went to the office to tell them that the heater was broken and they tried to brush me off as well. Normally I am a very easy going person but that was the last straw I told them of the snow in the room and that the heater had been on for an hour. I asked repeatedly to come to the room to see what I was talking about. Eventually a man followed me to the room as soon as he walked in the room he agreed the room was freezing and switched us to another room. Apparently the only other room was a room with a busted door lock but it was warm.
