Guest Reviews
- mikewL4069WR (10/5): First Wintertime visit - This was our first wintertime visit to Yellowstone. Not a typical winter. Much warmer and less snow than we were prepared for. Love the Mammoth Springs hotel. Great room, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The only less than outstanding part of our stay was the menu offerings and quality of served food in the Dining Room. The wait staff was great, however. We will probably return for a winter visit in the future. It is a great time to visit if you want to avoid large crowds.
- ColoradoKellers (10/5): Historic Charm Meets Modern Comfort - I had a wonderful stay at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. The decor is fantastic—they’ve managed to preserve the historic character of the building while keeping the atmosphere feeling fresh and modern.
One of my favorite aspects was the lack of TVs. Having no television in the room truly allowed for a peaceful, unplugged getaway. The service was top-notch throughout our visit, and the entire property was impressively clean. I’d highly recommend this for anyone looking to appreciate the park’s history without sacrificing quality.
- dananet2 (8/5): Close to Lamar Valley - We had an excellent time staying at the Mammoth Hotel. Even when the power went out and we used headlamps to get ready they gave us complimentary coffee in the dinning room.
- aba4848 (10/5): GREAT VACATION! - Couples winter Yellowstone package via Xanterra was perfect 5-day getaway.. lodges/food/everything was beyond our expectations!
- ALBinNM2026 (10/5): Quality all around - We visited in a winter with little snow, so could not ski until the higher elevation of Old Faithful, but greatly enjoyed the hotel, our beautiful room, and the fabulous cuisine at the Dining Room. The organization of Xanterra was exceptional, and the staff was routinely knowledgeable and friendly.
- Jeep4fun (10/5): Comfortable stay in the frigid winter - We stayed at the hotel in January and it was a great experience. Travel to the lodge can be done by private vehicle but inside the park is reserved for snow coach or snowmobile travel only due to road conditions. The hotel was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff did a commendable job keeping walkways cleared even though it snowed every day we were there.
- aubyh (10/5): Great Yellowstone experience - Comfortable high quality experience in the heart of Yellowstone with high quality tour experience. Totally satisfied.
- c0balt226 (10/5): Couple retreat - Everything on this couple retreat was excellent and done professionally. Only complaint was loud noises on the first floor . Strongly recommend staying on the third floor if possible. Otherwise a very nice and comfortable stay!
- lemlano (10/5): Delightful and serene - If you haven’t been to Mammoth in November, go. It’s worth the trip. It’s quiet, calm and relaxing. The staff is a joy this time of year. Grab a game, a drink and listen to music in the historic Map Room.
- 649allent (8/5): Very nice facility, but overpriced. - The facility is very nicely kept but is somewhat expensive. Rooms are very nice, not small. The restaurant is overpriced, and the food selection is limited. There are no coffee pots in the rooms now, in the past there were but now you get coffee in "tea" bags. You STEEP the little bags in warm water. I tried it once, absolute failure. I travel to Yellowstone every year, not sure I'll try Mammoth again.
- colaurado (10/5): Wonderful stay; beautiful room - Very nice stay in Yellowstone National Park. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with comfortable beds, microwave, hot pot, mini fridge, and gorgeous views. The was the only place in the park we were able to connect to WiFi which made it nice for checking in with family watching our children back home. From our room, we could watch elk wander across property. Very nice stay!
- suz33202 (8/5): Cabins were too small, but very historical - My family and I stayed in the cabins for 2 nights while visiting mammoth springs. The cabins were too small, and only had 1 or 2 outlets, but we found out they’re historical, and I respect and admire the hotel and cabins’ history.
The grounds are amazing, and we enjoyed walking around them, eating in the dining room, going to the gift shop and museum, as well as the close proximity to the springs.
The 1st night we were there, it snowed, so we woke up to a winter wonderland, which was a treat, since we are from Texas and don’t see snow often. There were elk there too, right outside our cabins and on the grounds.
I enjoyed it here, just wished the cabins were bigger, had a coffee maker in the room, and
breakfast was less expensive. It was $19 per person, plus tip for the waitstaff.
Not sure about the hotel amenities, since we stayed in the cabins.
- kbrekken (10/5): Beautiful Hotel based in the Park Service Headquarters for Yellowstone - Nice rooms and very comfortable beds with Elk outside the windows and a short commute to the famous Lamar Valley
- LeahSydney01 (8/5): Nice stay in a frontier cabin with bathroom - We stayed 3 nights in a frontier cabin with bathroom and were very happy with our choice.
The bathroom was small but adequate, and the room was comfortable and well heated.
There was no coffee maker or microwave in the cabin but there was a barista at the hotel every morning. There is also no wifi in the cabins, but there is at the hotel so you can use the wifi whilst having your morning coffee at the hotel. Some families were having barbecues or picnics outside their cabins for dinner. We ate dinner in the dining room and the food was great (although be sure to get there early as there was usually a queue for dinner).
Wild elk move around the cabins so you do feel like you are in the wilderness.
If I were to return to Mammoth I would choose to stay in a frontier cabin again.
- Jenavi (8/5): - We stayed here to be in the park. It was nice but cabin was a lil small for our family of 4. Nice to have dining hall; they do not accept reservations but we got a table pretty quickly. Super cool to see animals outside our cabins at night or in the morning.
- Walter (10/5): - Kathleen was very nice
- Margaret (10/5): - Loved our stay here
- perrotbiz (8/5): Lovely historic area and hotel - A Xanterra Autumn package brought me here, although I had heard of the hotel and booked several times on other occasions and had to cancel or be cancelled. Glad to finally indulge in a bit of mountain history! Lovely scenic area!
- leanne (6/5): - We stayed here because we thought there would be hot springs to soak in and there are no hot springs even though it’s in the name…. The closest ones are in Gardiner near the north entrance. The cabins were very basic.
- Grant (10/5): - We are right in the park, walking distance to the Mammoth Hot Springs.
- Shurie (8/5): - The park was beautiful, staff kind and responsive, room very clean and big shower in the hotel room. A microwave, refrigerator and water kettle were nice to have. No coffee maker, but coffee was a pour-on, then dunk coffee in a bag with string (like tea). No included breakfast but restaurant nearby. Beds were comfortable and daily housekeeping only by request.
- PatyS300 (6/5): an acceptable option within the park - It's an acceptable option, but it has some shortcomings: the cabins are very basic, and the room isn't cleaned daily. The restaurant is very simple, and there's only one dinner option, as the second restaurant closes very early. They don't accept reservations, and you have to wait a long time during peak hours. The lobby bar isn't open every day. Overall, it's expensive for the service it offers, but it's well located within the park.
- Rich (10/5): - Very limited parking.
- Jim (8/5): - Wish they had bathrooms in the cabins
- LakewoodJoan (10/5): Wildlife at your doorstep - Cute and comfortable cabins. An elk walked right past us as we enjoyed a beverage on the porch. The dining room was elegant and affordable. We really enjoyed our stay.
- barbaraanne2025 (4/5): Disappointing stay (our 5th or 6th stay there) - A Destination Wedding sucked up resources and had loud party. The only good thing is proximity to Lamar Valley. Will stay in Gardner next yrip.
- peterhK5604UB (6/5): Pleasant stay - We stayed three nights in a cabin at the Mammoth Hot Springs hotel. The cabin was spacious and clean but could use some modernization. There is daily cleaning, but it was not efficient, so once we had to organize our own bath towels. Is this a big deal? No, but when you return to your cabin around 5:30 pm, you expect the cleaning to be done so you can shower undisturbed. What was truly beautiful was that every evening a bull elk, bugling, came down the hill behind our cabin with his harem to graze on the lush grass fields around the hotel, former Fort Yellowstone (currently being restored), and between the cabins. A walk along the houses of the former Fort is highly recommended (and don’t forget to take the National Park Service description for more background information).
The hotel is a perfect base to visit the nearby terraces and the Lamar Valley for wildlife spotting. If you have the chance, dine and have breakfast here (buffet and à la carte options). Both were excellent: pleasant service and tasty food.
- Chris (10/5): - Loved everything about our stay! The room was very nice, the scenery spectacular and we felt safe. Very nice people at the desk too. Would definitely stay again!
- yournewchapter (8/5): 1 night in Mammoth - This was one of the better lodging we had in Yellowstone. The cabin was quaint, decorated well and met our needs. Comfortable beds, clean, shower with instant water (not at our old faithful cabin). I wish we had the time to enjoy the map room and live music but exhaustion called us to bed early and we arose at 6 am to get to Lamar Valley by sunrise for wildlife viewing. My only negative is the restaurant. Not a “4 star” in my book. But I realize getting supplies and preparing gourmet in the middle of a national park is not easy. The restaurant food was ok, but the price surprised us. Had we planned ahead we could have driven to Gardner (5 miles away). FYI we missed the Roosevelt Arch b/c we were too tired to drive that evening and then after Lamar Valley we were out of that area. Tip: take the opportunity to see the Roosevelt Arch since it’s so close to Mammoth. Tip 2: If Lamar Valley is in your itinerary, get there before sunrise to get a parking spot and bring binoculars or scope. It’s worth it! (We say a grizzly mom and 3 cubs wrestling and having fun) in addition to tons of bison, and it’s been suggested a wolf den was also in the valley. At the end of Lamar we exited the park to drive Beartooth Highway”. Absolutely stunning route in Montana. We had breakfast at “Log Cabin Cafe” excellent (open seasonally) in Silvergate Montana (5 miles outside the park). Another tip if you buy their souvenir coffee mug you get unlimited coffee for life. Pack it for your next trip😃
- Sherry (8/5): - -
- David (10/5): - The cabins excelled in every way. Comfort and clean, close and so cool to have elk right out side.
Staff at check in were super friendly, Evening drinks in the Map Room with piano player was a special treat. It was an awesome stay and I will recommend it to friend and family.
- Chickenkev72 (8/5): Cute little cabin - Our cabin was as described, small but clean and very cosy. The restaurant was already booked out but they gave us a buzzer whilst we waited in the bar listening to the piano. The meal was average at best but that was to be expected with very limited options available and a captive market. We liked our cabin but would suggest you consider bringing your own food or buying from the limited options at the grocery store and preparing your own meals.
- Flyingboy58 (10/5): Location is awesome. - Location. Location. Location. I stayed in one of the cabins. They are pretty small. But comfortable for sleeping. There are elk right outside the door. Parking is easy. It’s in such a great place in the park. I really enjoyed my stay at this place.
- mwhamburger (6/5): Rustic 'charm' ; make sure you're prepared - good scenic location; rooms are dated and really below par. No TV (not that you need it); room was too close to bar; noisy foot traffic outside in hall (don't pick room #101); poorly insulated windows. But had the good luck of seeing a group of elk outside our window which wasn't very clean and could only open it a little bit and then confronted with a screen. No photo possible. Dining room is pretty nice but the food marginal and really bad next door for breakfast or dinner.
Few amenities in the room
- tnjr2019 (10/5): Nice hotel but "rustic" - Stayed here 1 night on a tour. The rooms were good n the buffet breakfast was goid, but crowded. Lots of tour buses. Had a quick dinner in the Terrance Grill on the complex. Only thing is thete is no TV or wifi, so bring a book. Woke up to elk outside the hotel!
- Margaret (8/5): - Great location for the Mammoth terraces. We stayed in a cabin which was cute, with. front porch with seats that an elk walked by! Our only complaint is that the hot water was tepid; barely warm enough for a shower, both in the evening, and morning. It’s the only reason I gave four stars, and not five.
- Jason (6/5): - There are no tvs or AC. Not the cleanest room. Historic hotel, but wouldn’t stay here again for the price.
- Dan (10/5): - Cabins are basic, but clean and well maintained. Mammoth Hot Springs is at the north side, but we didn't have trouble getting to the rest of the park. Dining room at Mammoth is excellent.
- shellseeker077 (10/5): Excellent hotel - We loved this place! Excellent hotel and everyone was super nice! Large room and good sleep quality. The dining room was great and we ate there every night. Alex our server was excellent and took great care of us! Look forward to returning someday soon!
- Maiho (10/5): -
- Tour10548945688 (10/5): Watching elk walk through while dining at Mammoth - The rooms are large and the bathrooms are also large. No TV and you don't need one--go outside. The Visitor's Center is across and down the street. The travertine has lots of boardwalk to explore and of course the elk meander through and put on a show. The restaurant does not take reservations, so the earlier you go, the better. Service was good and the portions are plentiful. Everything was clean.
- Buttercup50 (2/5): Would not recommend Mammoth Springs - I wish I could say we enjoyed our stay in the park at Mammoth Springs - but of the 7 different hotels/lodging we stayed at during our visit to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons...Mammoth was the WORST. First check in - we had a 4 p.m. check in and our room was not ready until 5:15 pm. We had been hiking all day and were tired and wanted to check in our room for a break before dinner. I understand delays can happen, but they had no system to let us know when our room would be done. They simply told us to check back every 15 minutes. So 4 times I went back to the front desk and every time they told me not yet. Seriously? They should be able to get an update from housekeeping or text us when the room is ready. Then we went to our Cabin. If you are a camper - you might not mind the small Cabins. We were not impressed. They are dark and very outdated. As I toured the park I took a look at all the different Lodges rooms & Cabins and these appeared the smallest. There was no dresser and no space to put any luggage or clothing. We had 2 queen beds, so we had to use one for our toiletries and clothing. Of the cabins I took a look at while touring Yellowstone , Canyon Lodge appeared to have the best and most updated/spacious rooms. They are a bit lacking in dining options though only having a buffet which didn't look very appetizing. If you are looking for in-park lodging, I would recommend staying here but dining elsewhere. West Yellowstone is only a 30 minute drive outside the park and has so much more to offer. I know some will think we are there to see the park, and it was breathtaking, but for the $ they charge there is no reason they can't update the lodging.
- Bnizzle76 (4/5): Over Priced - Unfortunately this rating is based mainly on paying $490 per night, and receiving such sub par service. We checked in at 12:00pm and were told to check back at 4:00pm (website checkin time). We checked again at 2:00pm, and at 4:00pm. Room was not ready, and I complained and asked for compensation. Finally, at 5:30pm, we were given our room, and did receive compensation. But, honestly for $490 per night- the delay was unacceptable. The room was nice, but far below standards of that priced hotel room.
- Lea (10/5): Beautifully maintained site and lovely location - Excellent value for money. Apart from the fact that there was no private bathroom (which was clear at time of booking this type of cabin), this was the perfect accommodation. Beautifully maintained site and lovely location
- 373tl (8/5): Beautiful historic hotel, with great views - Room 419
We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious room that had two queen beds, a kitchenette, and a separate living room. The space was huge and offered beautiful views. The historic details throughout the hotel added so much charm, and the antique bathroom fixtures were truly unique.
The location is excellent, right next to Mammoth Hot Springs, with the dining room just across the parking lot for easy access. We also loved the Map Room—such a special spot to enjoy a cocktail while taking in the historic architecture.
- Sheri (4/5): - I stayed at the cabin and while the bedding seemed clean, the carpet was wet and very dirty, likely from rainy day and outside gravel. The shower was very small and also didn’t provide soap. Wouldn’t stay at the cabin again.
- Randall (8/5): - Probably the best hotel option within the park. Medium upscale site. Hotel was maybe 8 out of 10. Good dining options. Grounds very well-cared for. Would stay here again.
- Aubrey (10/5): - Great location for visiting the northern part of the park.
- kerwin (10/5): - Great location and wonderful historic hotel. Elk everywhere to observe in their natural setting
- Michelle (10/5): - Loved it!
- Dallas (6/5): - need to get air working properly in room
- jtownhay (10/5): Mammoth Hot Springs - An outstanding experience. Location, restaurant, staff, everything was terrific except for parking. Too many visitors with too few places to park. Hotel should have its own parking area.
- josielarsen (10/5): Rescue with a View - We had a brief stay at this beautiful yellow oasis. Had a bit of trouble with our car and the front desk was so helpful. The manager, Curtis, went out of his way to help us get back up and running and did it all with a smile of encouragement. I really appreciate being valued as a fellow traveler and will certainly pay this forward. The staff really did make us feel at home! Thank you for making us feel at home so far away from home! We will be back!
- Wendy (8/5): - We stayed in a cabin. It was older, but adequate and we had a nice view of the hill of hot springs.
- Verified traveler (6/5): So-so - "Rustic", but the cabin is too small to comfortably fit the 2 queen beds. No workable place to put luggage except on one of the beds.
- Hiroki (10/5): - 施設も綺麗でよく寝れました!
- Darlene (10/5): - Everything is wonderful, tranquil & beautiful. The Elk are breathtaking
- Anthony (10/5): - Very old school no tv or desks in room. Nice surrounding area
- Beth (10/5): - The cabins were terrific! Each had a hot tub! Great place to drive fromearly in morning to destinations
- betsy (10/5): - Nice place room was clean and roomy
- Sonia (8/5): - We were given a cabin if I would have known, I would have not booked this place. The heater was so noisy we couldn’t sleep
- Archana (10/5): - No complains it was a nice stay
- MONAMI (4/5): - Property facility terrible. Location wise great.
- Mark (8/5): - Loved the wildlife that was around the facility, friendly staff. Odd that they wetted down the stone drive to minimize dust but then it was kinda muddy sticking to your shoes - left shoes outside on sundeck so wouldn't get inside the room. Sundeck was relaxing - we stayed in the "cabins"
- Yanhua (8/5): - Free ice all time
- JESS (8/5): - very cute and nice cabin. check in was confusing and the lady at the desk had no idea what she was doing
- Val (6/5): - Seeing elk right there…quiet…we didn’t like restaurant options….tried to go to breakfast in the dining hall and there was a half hour wait but 1/2 the tables were empty so must not have enough servers so very disappointed in that. Also would’ve liked a tv in room
- Sharon (8/5): - The cabin was ok. It was old and needed a little updating, especially the bathroom. The bottom of the shower curtain was dirty but overall it was nice and wildlife grazed in the area at night
- Robert (8/5): - To spend two nights in the Park at a safe, clean and great location was a pleasure. My only complaint is the shower drained terribly.
- Xiaoou (6/5): - Good Registration
- JACQUELYN (10/5): - Room was clean, bed was comfy. Can't beat the view!
- Pamela (10/5): - Gorgeous scenery and views. Staff were excellent. Dining room food was very good.
- Jackie (10/5): - Super nice staff. Clean rooms. Great fun! Thanks!
- Lori (10/5): - The location was great
- AR-BRAY (6/5): Ok but expensive - Good location. Cabin is close to restaurant and visitors center. Cabins are old, but clean. No ac so you have to open windows and some don't stay open. They do have a plugin fan. Bathroom is very small
- Sean (10/5): - Upgraded amenities, the only negative was the changes made in the Map Room. The property management company built a bar/lounge in the corner of the map room taking away from the historic charm of the Map Room. There’s already a bar in the Mammoth Hotel Dining Room. The new bar wasn’t needed and detracts from the historic nature of the hotel.
Now when guests or visitors come through the Map Room they’re lead to believe that the bar is an original part of the Hotel.
- Tarlin_Tri_Sertel (6/5): Great location, but for an exaggerated price - We stayed in Mammoth Hot Springs for a couple of nights. The hotel is better than the Lake Yellowstone where we stayed as well a couple of days. Issue with this hotel group is that they have a monopoly, so they charge high prices for accommodations that are outdated and not always well maintained. Value for money is not what you get, great location is.
- Gary (10/5): Quiet little cottage - We just need a little more room as our kids are older teens. But overall quiet and comfortable.
- Jie (8/5): - We stayed at a cabin. The front desk was much nicer than the one at Canyon Village. The room was small but set up reasonably. Best meal we had in Yellowstone was the breakfast at its Dining Room. The grill was nice too.
- Anitha (8/5): - Compared to the other cabins we stayed at in Yellowstone, this was the most basic. However it was also very clean and comfortable. Good location for Lamar valley drives. Staff was friendly.
- Julie (10/5): - Great place. Room was a bit warm for my liking and no ac. There was a fan. I would have liked a fridge but otherwise it was great!!!
Loved seeing the elk around the property.
- srk55 (10/5): Nice hotel, great location - Great location in Yellowstone . This is the only in-park hotel with internet for hotel rooms (not lodges). No TV or AC just like other Yellowstone hotels. Great jumping off point, remember however Yellowstone is big so it’s a 1 1/2 hour drive to old faithful on a good day with no traffic. Not cheap just like other in-park hotels but a very good hotel.
- Theodore (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay. But, NO TV.
- John-Damien (10/5): - We really loved everything about this stay! We ended up paying a little more to stay in the cabins, and don't regret it one bit.
The cabins were recently updated, but still have that rustic charm of craftsman era bungalows. Toilet and shower were in amazing condition, the beds were comfy, and it had all the amenities needed for a night or a week!
The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the park. It's about an hour away from Old Faithful with no traffic, and about 15 minutes from Gardiner, Montana.
The best part: seeing the prairie dogs outside the cabin in the morning playing in the sprinklers!
- YogaFit (8/5): - It was cabin inside Mammoth Hot Springs. I disliked the shared bathroom outside the cabin- but I think that’s common in most of the lodges in Yellowstone. Cabin was itself stuffy (was hot inside without any ventilation). A basic cabin - will give you a roof to sleep for a night(best if you want to explore Mammoth springs and nearby board walk areas). Of course, no WiFi in any cabins, but there was WiFi at reception area- you need to there and use. It was again peaceful and refreshing not to be connected with outside world for sometime and just be in the nature.🙂
- acr7 (8/5): Memorable stay in historic hotel - A historic site within Yellowstone National Park.
The hotel is very large and has clearly been refurbished in recent years so the rooms were smart, spacious and well equipped. Our only issue with the rooms was the air conditioning did not seem to work so we reliant on opening windows as wide as possible to keep the temperatures down - not too much of a problem given it wasn't extremely hot when we there.
What really sets the hotel apart though is the history and the location right next to Mammoth Springs - being able to take the short walk up to the springs late of an evening when all the day trippers have gone was a memorable experience.
We ate breakfast and dinner in the dining room both days and while the food was generally ok; we had a difficult time with dinner on the second evening with delays and cold food; issues that were not handled particularly well by the staff.
Would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend the hotel to anyone looking to experience the sense of history in the area and to explore Mammoth.
- veronica (6/5): - Cabins are behind reception, separate buildings, small cabins, small beds, but quiet and nice area.
No wifi in cabins
Nothing in rooms
Dining one fastfood, one with long waits as only eating area.
- Wei (10/5): - Food is good at the Dining Room. We ate breakfast and dinner (twice) there, food is fresh and delicious. waiters and waitresses are very considerate. They really tried their best to make you feel at home! The area is very modernly renovated and all conveniences are closely located within walking distance: the hotel, cabins, dining, general store, and services. The beds are on the soft side, I personally prefer firmer bed. The scenic views are great. We drove east early morning, and after two minutes, we saw a group of female and young elks grazing along the green and flower carpeted slope next to a beautiful creek. What a great scene!
- MichTraveler8 (8/5): 2 bedroom cabin without bath - nice for family - We stayed in a 2-bedroom cabin without bath. This turned out to be a nice spot for our family - one bedroom with a queen, and the other with two beds. A door separated these two. Each room had its own sink, towels, closet, fan, door to front porch, and windows facing both front and back. Since it was July, we opened the windows that had screens in the evening and nighttime, to cool the place, along with the fan, and closed the windows in the daytime. With this, it was quite comfortable.
There are multiple nearby toilet and shower houses, and one centrally located ice machine and vending. No fridges in the rooms, and no cooking allowed inside the cabins (which seems smart). Showers have shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel. Towels are provided in the rooms. One missing element is that there aren’t shelves or benches to put your things, but there are several hooks in each private shower area.
Front porch had two chairs in front of each of the room entrances. There is a light on the front porch but we left it off when sitting out at night to enjoy the stars.
Cabins are located in a little neighborhood of sorts, behind the hotel. Easy walking distance to the hotel dining room, map room (which does espresso coffee in AM and bar in evening) and just a little farther to the visitors center. There is an EV charger located just behind the hotel and in front of the cabins, in case you need that (I also saw a couple of people trickle charging from their cabins).
Really convenient location - be sure to go to the Lamar Valley for the wildlife and to Roosevelt Lodge one evening to do the cookout. Also enjoyed the dining room at Mammoth.
- Hawaiineko (10/5): Mammoth, hidden gem in Yellowstone - The Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was truly a hidden gem. We stayed there because it was nearest the north entrance/exit and we were flying out of the park through Bozeman. But the property was amazing! The perks were that there was a medical services available if needed, a great restaurant or a grill for casual dining, wonderful visitor center, and a general store filled with many keepsakes. Of course the hot springs boardwalk was an experience in itself. The kids meals from the grill were popular as we saw many children walking around with paper yellow buses that their kids meals were in. Overall, we's definitely stay there again!
- Lori (10/5): - Loved it!
- davetripper25 (8/5): If you have money to blow, good choice! - I was very disappointed in the lack of amenities for the price. No complimentary coffee unless you stay in a motel room @~$300/night. Cabin rooms have no coffee, no microwave (even when requested), no refridgerator @$261/night. No value found here...pay for every need!
- keclark1215 (10/5): Experience history in this wonderful property - We spent one night as a two day trip through Yellowstone from Jackson Wyoming. Loved the hospitality, convenience, and historical charm! The restaurant was open late for dinner and the food was delish with reasonable prices considering the locale. Will definitely come back! The Husband was a little toasty for the first few hours sleeping in high summer, so be ready for no thermostat! Maybe take a relaxing cool shower in the gorgeous historically accurate clawfoot tub and shower before bed.
- jason (8/5): Bathroom sharing is a nightmare - Nice cabin .. quiet and convenient. Outdoor shared bathroom a bit off putting
Cabin clean and easy for access to park
- msgaff (10/5): Wonderful stay - It had been years since I was to Yellowstone and the thing I remembered most was what a good night sleep I had in a room without tv or air conditioning. It was the same this time as well!
- 397steph (6/5): First trip to yellow stone - Place was interesting with history. Could use bigger fan in rooms and hotel areas on a hotter day.
Food was better outside of park. Only hotdogs and hamburgers where really offered at hotel restaurants.
- billiefowler18 (10/5): Lovely stay - Clean rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds, convenient location, hot showers, elk roaming by on hotel grounds..,what more could you want? The bathrooms were super cool with beautiful tile work and claw foot tub. We would stay here again for the convenience to the park’s northern loop and Gardiner.
- Muhammad Osman (10/5): - Everything was great, nice filtered water fountains in the lobby. Nice bathrooms in the lobby as well, and it was 24/7.
- McLovin_It_in_Ohio (10/5): Relaxing visit not far from Yellowstone. - We had a relaxing time visiting the hot springs pools. The views you can’t beat with the mountains surrounding the place. They have the main pool which is around 100 degrees and then a hot pool which is a little warmer. There is also a cold pool which is about 60-65 degrees that is kind of fun going back and forth between hot and cold. They have towels there that you can rent in case you forgot yours. The bathrooms and changing rooms were clean and very large. They have several lounge chairs and areas for picnics. Remember to bring your sunscreen too! The price wasn’t too bad it was around $48 for two adults and two kids and you can stay as long as you want.
- sb1298 (2/5): Worst part of our Yellowstone trip - Terrible place to stay
No blackout curtains for privacy. Very hot at night. Employee dorm is next to cabins. Employee smoke at picnic break tables so you hear them and smoke enters your room. Housekeeping was making the beds, no vacuuming or light cleaning. Our cabin also smelt like dog and cabins are per friendly so I assume the previous guests brought their pets along.
