Great view from patio -Small but well situated hot tub with strong jets -Short drive into town -Decent continental breakfast CONS: -Uncomfortable mattress that was way too soft and sloped towards the center, giving me a backache all weekend -Not super clean - someone's old socks sticking out from under the bed, random quarter on the floor -No pool towels provided so we had to use our only set of towels to dry off the chlorinated water from the hot tub and then again after showering in the hotel room -THE BATHROOM WAS THE ENTRYWAY. I have never seen anything like that before. You walk in the front door and the toilet is immediately to the left. The shower is also in the entryway, with another door into the hotel room. There's a small window in the bathroom/entryway that you can open for ventilation, but no fan (other than a box fan). That window is directly above the toilet, facing the walkway outside of the rooms. Not exactly a window you want open while you're using the toilet. And if someone produced an aroma in the bathroom, everyone has to walk right through that in order to get between the main room and the door to the parking lot. Points for originality I guess? But at ~$240/night (incl taxes and fees) I sort of expected the bathroom to not also be the entryway to the room.
MELISSA LEONE (10/5): - Get the room with the view! We got a pet friendly with a view and was so convenient to have a slider door to a grassy area right outside the room. Beautiful spot for a complimentary cup of coffee and a bagel!
Ron (8/5): - Astoria Crest Motel is older but well kept and has a fantastic view of the Columbia River. Staff is very friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and the bed was comfortable! Nice place to stay if you are tired of the chain hotels.

Laurie David (4/5): Not a good start. - We got into town late that day …went out to dinner with some friends and got to the hotel by 11 o’clock at night. When we got there, we were greeted and then shown to our room by a staff member. When I looked at the building where our room was, I noticed immediately that all the doors and windows, including the walkway was all covered With tape and plastic as they were painting the building. When I got to my room, I had to cut through the plastic to find the door knob and open the door. It was very disheartening.

The views are absolutely stunning. The room felt a little outdated, but it was very clean. The only bummer was that we couldn’t get the fan to work at night when we wanted it, but it spontaneously turned on and worked in the morning.
Brenda (8/5): Motel in Astoria - When we arrived late in the afternoon, the room was not ready because painters were still working, and door to room was taped over with plastic for spraying. When we finally comeback after dinner it was available, but hours late. BUT it had a million dollar view, but with noisy next door neighbors on their deck. They're doing some fixing, but it's a motel, and I guess I'm not used to that type of lodging. But found out Astoria is one of most expensive places in Pacific North West!!

Verified traveler (6/5): Not a great stay for us - This motel has a lot of potential. Its location is lovely and the lobby and outdoor fire pit were nice. However, when we arrived there were painters and the door to our room was literally covered in plastic (including the handle) and the room number had been removed, so we just guessed that we were in the right place. The room had a nice view and lovely balcony. It was weird walking into the bathroom on the way to the bedroom, but at least there was a door between the two for privacy. It was quite loud - not just the paint sprayers which ran until after 7pm, but people on their balconies and in the next room. It appears the owners are puttting an effort into the place, but we wouldn't stay here again.

Valeria (4/5): Painting the hotel with guests - The hotel was a wonderful views to Astoria and the Columbia River, that is the reason of my two stars. They need to change the beds, they are very soft and uncomfortable. In addition, the service is not good at the front desk. Unfortunately, the administration decided to PAINT all the buildings while guests were in the premises. This situation really impacted in our experience. Very disappointed with the stay.

Jake (8/5): Decent and Quiet Outside of Town - Great location outside of town with a nice view of the Columbia River. The room didn’t have AC so it got hot and humid at night. However, they did provide a fan to help minimize the temperature as much as possible. The breakfast provided was decent and basic. Regardless, I would stay here again.
Robert (8/5): - This is a very nice place to stay in Astoria. Staff does an excellent job. I had a minor problem with the drain in bathroom sink they immediately had maintenance in and fixed the problem. The only area I feel needs improvement is they need to start to renovate the rooms to improve overall habitability. This could be done one building at a time to avoid closing down the entire facility. This would soon make the facility a top-notch place in Astoria. The spectacular views are a great selling point for the customers as well. I would be glad to return in the future after renovations are finished.

Holly (6/5): - The walls are very very very thin. I’d say an ok place to stay if you have good neighbors. We had the unfortunate experience of being in the room next to a sick person that was up coughing and vomiting and we could hear every word that was said all night. They were not speaking loudly…Also another negative is we were early to the motel because of inclement weather and the room was ready but they wanted an extra fee to check in early. I feel like this is something simple that could have easily have been a positive but instead it was a negative. We did like the view and the hot tub was great.

Camille (6/5): - The property and view are nice, but I paid $266.00 for one night for a bad smelling room. I actually had to go to the store and get a scented candle. I understand they are pet friendly rooms, but they are terribly outdated. I was also charged a $25 per pet fee that I was not expecting because their website says its $15. When I asked them why I was charged $25, they said that was the fee and were not willing to honor what their website says. I've stayed there a few times and until now have always been happy. The view is great, but there are less expensive hotels with views that are equally impressive and hopefully better customer service.
Jennifer (10/5): Quiet with great view - We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Astoria Crest. It was quiet and had a beautiful view. The front desk girl was amazing and gave great recommendations for food in the area. We will be back!
Mitchell (6/5): - Beautiful location but the property is dilapidated. Sheets had stains on them and the bathroom smelled like mildew. Hot tub was nice and the views made the dinginess tolerable. If the owners put some money into this place they would have an amazing facility.
Nathan (4/5): - Everything was great as far as service and cleanliness, the lady at the front desk was wonderful, but when I checked in I checked in early and had to pay a fee even though the room was quote, “all ready to go.” So it makes no sense why I would need to pay more for I room I’ve already paid for. The policy also did not allow people to access their room early even if it was ready and had been paid for. Pretty silly stretch for 25 more bucks. I would recommend letting people access their rooms if it is cleaned and ready and has been booked and paid for In advance even if it is before the exact check in time.

kelly (8/5): - It is your basic Motel but sits back enough away from the Highway to be quiet. No elevator for those of us with disability however, they offered a ground room upon arrival. I opted to stay on second floor as the steps up were spaced far enough apart as to not be too steep. All in all, was a wonderful overnight stay!

Brian (8/5): - This was a nice place to stay. It was clean and the staff was friendly. It has a nice patio area with two little firepits to watch the sunset. On the downside, our room had no AC and the shower is pretty small.

Catherine (10/5): - Very spacious, clean, excellent view of river. The shower head needs replacement as it is frozen in one place and only sprayed into my face. And, for a small, tight one person shower...that was unacceptable. Told front desk. Hopefully they fix before next visit. Thus is not a walkable area...you need your car to get to food, etc. But, it's well worth it.
Raina (8/5): - The view is really beautiful. The hot tub was great on the day it was open. The rooms are very clean. The towels were really rough and there weren’t enough for two people. We needed a blanket and could have used a couple more pillows or big ones.

Cheryl (8/5): - My only complaint was a fee for early chrck in. I travel 6-10 times a year. I have never been charged for being 11/2 hrs early. If the room is ready you can check in! If not you wait. But to be charged 25.00 for a room that was ready. I did not get a discount for chrcking out before check out time. I really feel it would be a reason for me to not stay there again

Carl (6/5): - Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room and bathroom were extremely small, especially shower. No AC didn't help.
