Guest Reviews
- Belem (10/5): Clean - This place was so clean and it has all you need the kitchen has all the utensils even some seasoning and in case you forget something there is a little store 3 minutes away, I really recommend this place and i will go back to the place again. So clean
So comfortable
- Misael (10/5): -
- Mennilyn (10/5): -
- David (5/5): -
- Thomas (6/5): - We arrive and have trouble contacting owner. When we did get in, cabinents were gritty from sand, TV would not conect to service, clothes washer had a zip tie as a handle and fridge was not cold. Moved to another unit that was better.
- Camille (10/5): - Host was very nice and available. This is my 2nd time staying here. Was very happy with my stay.
- Julia (4/5): Shabby and not chic. - Property overlooks a beautiful meadow, but unfortunately the equipment yard below the property ruins the view. Very poor maintenance! Patio doors to deck would not lock leaving us vulnerable to theft. Screen’s on doors and windows were warped and hard to open/close. Furniture was shabby and beds bedding were saggy and uncomfortable. We left a day early because overall it was a depressing stay. Too bad because it left a bad taste for us regarding DCV. Not sure how it got so many prior good reviews. We won’t be back.
- Kasidy (7/5): -
- Brandie (10/5): - Definitely one of our new favorite spots to stay when we come to Duck Creek! We even got to bring our dog for her first road trip.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great stay for families, would gladly come again - The apartment was perfect for 2 families with small children. Very cozy, and setup well. The location is great for visiting either Bryce Canyon or Zion NP. The view from the apartment is lovely. The grill wasn't in a good state, and not all the cookware was cleaned.
- Silva (10/5): Recommend 10/10! Fabulous - Everything! Immaculate clean and organized, clean beds towels, bathrooms Nothing! Everything was great! Thank you, made our family retreat very enjoyable
- Neal (10/5): - Quiet and close to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.
- Geraldine (8/5): Very good - The property manager was always available for our needs. The property is clean. Needs new pots and pans and plates/ mugs and cutlery.
- Winder (10/5): Exceptional - It was big enough to accommodate a large group
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Rosa (10/5): Very pleased with everything - Really everything was great . First we where a little worried that we couldn’t find a Cabin , everything was booked and when we got to the lodge we where so happy we saved money since Cabins are pricier and the Lodge was very clean, very Spacious and we didn’t have to drive for the kiddos to play in the snow the location is great. And the host was very responsive and helpful. We are planing on staying there again next time we plan a trip to Duck creek village. Everything was great there really was nothing to not like.
- Jun (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean room, kitchen ,Bed room
- Darlene (10/5): A great time - Close to favorite fishing areas. Cabin was roomy and comfortable Parking could be better and the door codes didn’t always work the mechanism seemed faulty.
- Dolores (4/5): Do not rent until the place is cleaned up. - The room was dirty. Food had been left in a closet in a bag and was spoiled and stinky. The microwave was dirty with paper towel still inside. The stove was covered with oil, had not been cleaned. Insufficient pots and pans for a family of 12. The pillow cases were soiled. Plenty of dust through the whole house. The property manager would not return our last text. We requested a credit due to the house being dirty and yet we paid a cleaning fee.
- Holly (10/5): - Property manager was incredibly responsive, so happy we were able to make contact with her when we needed. Beautiful cabin stay!
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Highly recommended - Fantastic, comfortable and clean property with a lovely view while not being far from a few stores and places to eat. The property manager was very communicative and seemed to really care about the quality of our stay.
- Vicky (9/5): Superb - I recently stayed at the Lodge at Duck Creek and had a great experience. The property was spacious and well-maintained, even though my group didn't show up. The location was excellent, close to key attractions and amenities. Plus, the price was reasonable for the quality and size. Highly recommend for anyone seeking spacious and conveniently located accommodation. The only thing I did not like was that the shower head fell off in one of the bathrooms; however, when I reached out to the manager, she responded promptly. Highly recommend for anyone seeking spacious and conveniently located accommodation.
- Fran (10/5): - We loved and enjoyed the entire place, very comfortable, great layout, great amenities, great kitchen and bathrooms, great communication with Stephanie. The only issue was the couches - they are obviously very old and unfortunately they smell old. Nothing personal but I avoided sitting on them.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful place! The property manager was super helpful and we had a smooth check in. We stayed in the bear suite and it was so nice to have all of the space for our family of five adults. Highly recommended!
- Jennifer (10/5): - Stephanie was great communicating with us prior to arrival, check in and check out were a breeze and the view is INCREDIBLE. The Lodge had everything we needed. This is our go to place to stay in Duck Creek Village and will be back again!
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Theresa (7/5): Great location, but it needs a little TLC. - This is our second stay at the lodge. The first stay was flawless. This stay was different. The Staff was very responsive to our issues. They tried to make things right as best they could. The owner contacted us directly.
Location is great, and the views are spectacular.
Big rooms, plenty of bathrooms, comfy beds.
We still had a great time despite any challenges. Was not clean when we arrived. However, they came and cleaned it quickly. The refrigerator quit working in the middle of our stay. I was able to get it somewhat working again, but it broke again. They tried to address it, but replacing it was not really an option since the area is remote, and we were 3 floors up with no elevator.
Overall, it could use a good deep cleaning and some TLC. The kitchen could be better stocked since the unit holds upwards of 10 people. There should be enough dishes and bowls to accommodate everyone. We didn't see any oven mitts or placemats.
- Anonymous (8/5): This is a great place for a large group to stay. - It was a large place. There were enough utilities for us. Nothing comes to mind.
- Mali (5/5): Nice roomy cabin with good view - needed AC and more considerate neighbors - Balcony view was nice, although balcony table and carpet was dirty with previous guests belonging and dirty food stain Not comfortable without AC
Wasn’t until late night the cabin was able to cool Down
Listing states there is AC otherwise i would not have stayed
People above us made a lot of noise late at night and early morning
- Joel (7/5): Good -
- Monson (9/5): Superb - The facility was great and accommodated our group of families. The primary bed in the Bears Den sunk badly in the middle. The ceiling fan in the other bedroom didn't work
- Heather (10/5): Awesome! - Really enjoyed our stay and the area! The condo was spacious. I would've appreciated another set of wash cloths and a few more toilet paper rolls. We stayed five nights and ran out. We had to wash the cloths every day to have enough for the next day. Two for each person would've been very helpful. Other than that, it was amazing! We loved renting ATVs and riding them on the trails. We also visited Zion, Kanarra Falls, and Bryce Canyon!
- Susan (7/5): Good - Ever thin else was good! The sheets on two beds were not clean. Sand in the beds. 😢
- Jocelyn (10/5): great place, been there many times and will go again -
- Aaron (10/5): - The Lodge was fantastic!!! Plenty of room for all in our party. The unit was fully stocked with all the necessary kitchen items. It is in a great location as well. Stephanie the property manager was fantastic!!! Communication with her about questions we had was excellent. We will definitely be back!!!
- Julie (5/5): The place was in a good location, clean, but with a lot of deferred maintenance. - Our stay at The Lodge at Duck Creek was nice.
Let me start out with the good. The location was excellent. The view from the unit that we stayed in was beautiful. The unit was spacious and clean, with a nice layout, good beds, more than enough bathrooms, and a washer and dryer. And now the bad. There is a lot of deferred maintenance that is needed on the unit. Here are a few examples. The bar stools are loose and possibly dangerous to sit on. The dining room chairs are also loose. One of the arms came off while we were there. We glued it back together, but the other chairs are loose as well. The shower doors were out of their tracks. One of the towel racks fell off when used. There are screw holes above one of the beds where a headboard was likely attached (that should be filled in and painted over). The gas fireplace did not work. The pans in the kitchen appear to be non-stick, but everything sticks to them. There is a five-cup coffee maker, for a unit that has a king, two queens, and a sofa bed.
- Theresa (9/5): Very comfortable - Layout, 4 toilets, fireplace, location, comfortable It wasn't as clean as it could be, noisy from upstairs and next-door neighbors, light blankets cold weather and no blankets for couch, direct TV did not work, WIFI very spotty in bedrooms.
- Danielle (8/5): Would definitely be keeping this property in the books for future trips. - was clean and spacious for us with a family of 11. very nice for the price we paid. that there wasn’t a easier way to haul so much belongings or groceries for a family of 11 up and down the third floor suite we stayed in.
- Jocelyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): Perfect - Perfect for a last minute trip with friends. Would stay again
- Claire (8/5): Good Place to bring a family. - We are a couple wanting to spend a weekend in a cooler climate in the countryside. Lodging was okay. Bed was too soft for us, didn’t sleep well. Dining room chairs were too low for the table. No privacy with neighbor on back patio. Lots of ATV traffic on street. Overall, the location, amenities, and room sizes were good for the price paid. Scenery was beautiful.
- Sandra (10/5): - It is a great place to stay. Spacious, clean, and fully equippd.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The stay here was a nice get away. The visit was purely to get away from the heat we face at home during the summer. Everything was almost as expected. Unfortunately the unit did not have central ac as listed on Expedia.
The first nite was a bit warm as we arrived in the evening to the unit being extremely warm and did not cook down (with opening windows) until almost the next morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean interiors and well maintained condo unit. The unit is on the 3rd floor, makes it quite a climb, especially with luggage.
Comfortablel beds, well appointed kitchen with pots and pans, dishes to cook your meals.
Complaints:
1. The property is advertised as a math unit, however has one full bath attached to a bed room, a Jack & Jill bathroom and a powder room.
2. The doors for the Jack and Jill bathroom doesn’t close, we ended up using it as a single bathroom option. Complained to the on-site property manager, was told it would be fixed the next day, but never got done. I am sure we aren’t the only ones to complain about that issue.
3. Exterior grill/bbq dirty, can’t be used without deep cleaning
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place was just what we were looking for. Very comfortable, clean, quiet, located between Zion and Bryce.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location for our family snowmobiling trip, great view, plenty of space, easy check-in/out. Perfect for what we needed!
- Angela (10/5): Beautiful place and friendly people - Had a great time. Layout was great and clean. Left early due to weather and they were very accommodating.
- Shannon (10/5): Great Family Fun! - Second time and it was awesome! Loved it and will return in the Spring!!
- Tim (10/5): Nice surprise! - We had a great time at the Duck Creek Lodge. The facility is very nice with quality furniture and appliances. The bed was comfortable and each bedroom had a attached bathroom, large closet, and calling fan. The location was perfect.
- Michele (10/5): Amazing Lodge in Duck Creek - It's a very easy turn key check-in process. Gorgeous view no matter which apartment you stay in and a family friendly, fun atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge! You have to check out Hot Mama's pizza in the village, we eat there every time we visit Duck Creek Village.
- TAD (10/5): - What an incredible place; so huge for just the two of us (3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms) and the biggest balcony ever. Some of the bedroom furnishings are a bit dated but the overall awesomeness of this place more than makes up for that small detail. The owners were so quick to respond and very accommodating. The view from the cabin is so worth it. Please book this place!!
- Robert (10/5): - Great view. Loved the large wrap around deck. Spacious with a great arrangement of bedrooms, each with its own bath room. The kitchen/great room area was a great place to relax and enjoy the view through a wall of mostly glass.
- Marjan (8/5): beautiful views - Property is in great condition and in great location
- Jeremy (10/5): - Beautiful area! Jon was a big help.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2019, using it as a home base to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. The property is very well located to both these places - about 45 minutes to each.
Our host, Jon, was very communicative and informative - the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all of us.
Very enjoyable stay for the family.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was in the middle of a gorgeous meadow in a little known spot called Duck Creek. It was central to Zion andBryce National Parks and coming back to a place that felt as your own was blissful! There was satellite TV, a beautiful deck with BBQ, a full kitchen with essentials stocked (spices, sugar, instant coffee, etc.) Bring your own food to cook using their pots, pans, bowls, utensils - and dishwasher, etc. It was like home away from home. Anything you might have forgotten is either in town for the small stuff (tylenol), or further out for the bigger stuff (meat, dairy or beer / wine). We loved our stay and are definitely planning a return trip.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was the most accommodating place we have ever stayed at. 3 bedrooms and a couch bed, 4 bathrooms. We did not have to fight over bathrooms. We had a full size kitchen we cooked breakfast luch and dinner in. We did not miss any little seasoning or rice, sugar or coffee cause it was all there. Then when your done ridind come back a wash your clothes in the washer and dryer where amenities were provided.
- Shelli (10/5): - The place was huge, we could have invited more people to come and stay with us. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean!
- Emanuel (10/5): - so nice and peaceful!!!
like be at home but in the woods...
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The walls are very thin. You can hear everything in the cottage next door and above you.
The washer had mold growing in it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room for everyone beautiful view. Good price, ease to work with our schedule.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful views from the large front deck., and a convenient grill to cook outdoors. Free internet was a bonus and worked well. Like the washer and dryer after having been on the road for several days.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely LOVED this lodge. It was spacious, beautiful and well stocked. It's definitely remote and nothing close by, so if you're looking to get away, it's a great choice. Make sure to bring any food you need because the closest shopping is about 20 minutes away. Otherwise we loved it! We visited both Bryce and Zion and this location is nicely placed almost directly between the two.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I hope to come back when the weather is friendlier. The snow made reaching the property impossible for part of our group. The county really needs to keep the roads open if this is going to be a year round vacation site.
That having been said, we will come back under better circumstances.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place for family get together! Plenty of room for everyone including the dogs!
- Tara (10/5): Mountain Getaway - The rooms are great. We went for a winter getaway and we not disappointed. We had two couple and two kids. There was room for everyone. The kitchen is well equipped and made preparing our food easy. We would highly recommend this property and will be back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was just GREAT!!! We’ll come back again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable and spacious. Beautiful location. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
- RobertOwens (10/5): - Liked that its very private , and has good views and wildlife saw both mule deer and turkey
- Kent (10/5): Superb accommodations! - What a trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Exactly as advertised. Super comfortable and great location. Would highly recommend! We hope to return.
- dieter (10/5): great place for a larger family - great location! large 3 bedroom, clean, roomy, rustic, yet up to date with all the gadgets..just bring food, everything else there..definetly will stay there again
- John Paul (10/5): A magical place! - This lodge is so cute! The kitchen is pretty well stocked, although bring spices if you want them. The wifi in the room works great, although I had no phone call service all weekend, with Sprint. It was actually super nice to be disconnected! Mr. Jim, the manager, was awesome. There is a fire pit, to build a small fire and eat s'mores. Deer Creek Village is such a cute little town. I love that we were able to go everywhere on our quad. We'll be back!
- ronni (10/5): - Very awesome lodge. Everything you need to have a great weekend getaway.
- Edward (10/5): - outstanding place to spend a few days. Cooler than Zion and Bryce and right next to Cedar Breaks which was a great national park. The extra space and ability to cook were great. When the satellite TV was knocked out by thunder, the manager personally lent us his box. Very welcoming.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best views in Duck Creek - Property managers were great, answered all of our questions and even came up to say hello when we checked in. Suite was super spacious, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Full kitchen stocked with all cooking equipment. Wrap around deck with gorgeous views.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Spacious and able to accommodate more than 9 with existing sofa bed. We friends and family enjoy the scenery drive, and close to place of interest to Bryce Canyon. We love it. The manger came to us asking how we are setting down even though we check in late at night.
- Greg (8/5): - This is a good spot to visit a multitude of sites. From here we visited Bryce Canyon, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion’s National Park, and Cedar Beaks National Monument.
The location is quiet and staying awake for the stars to come out is a good reason to visit here. Overall, it was a nice stay from which to go play.
- GRACE M (10/5): Our stay at The Lodge at Duck Creek Village - It was very easy to find, very comfortable and all necessities were provided.
- Heidi (8/5): Nice Condo! - We stayed in the Eagles Lookout #6. We all were very pleased with the accommodations. Fully functional kitchen so we were able to make our meals & we loved being able to use the large grill out on the deck. The back deck had a nice view of the meadow!
Loved having the fireplace to sit by as well!
We rented side X sides one morning and had a fun time zipping thru the trails! A MUST tho...you have to have something to cover your face (nose and mouth) because it's VERY dusty! The views were amazing!
I would recommend tho, that you put in your rental (on line was the only option) the day before so that you can get all the paperwork done before you arrive at the rental. Read it carefully as there is a $45 charge for insurance (per machine) that we did not know about prior to renting the machines.
- Basia (10/5): Perfect in every way - This is a wonderful lidge, very spacious amd well equipped. We had everything we needed. Check in instructions were thorough and very helpful. It's located just between Bryce and Ziin with lots of other placed to see close by. Thx to owners, Mike and Christina.
