Guest Reviews
- Antony (6/5): It’s ok - This is our 2nd or 3rd stay here on the way to the Dieppe/Newhaven ferry. It is ok for a quick stopover and they are dog friendly too. This time the noise from adjacent rooms was pretty bad, although not necessarily the hotel’s fault. The soap dispenser in the shower didn’t work well and the pillows were a bit uncomfortable. For €72 without breakfast ( which we’ve never had) it wasn’t fantastic value for money. We’ll probably try somewhere else next time.
- Tim (8/5): - Very comfortable bed as always.
- Katharine (10/5): - We stayed here overnight on our way to Spain last year and again this year. It is clean and the location near an amazing bakery, restaurants and a large supermarket is ideal. I’d be happy to return a third year and I’d certainly recommend the hotel for an overnight stay to anyone else.
The only criticism is that someone was living in a tent next to the hotel. He had a friendly elderly dog and shopping trolleys next to his tent with his belongings in. Whilst this wasn’t a problem, I’m surprised the hotel allowed it.
- John Barry (10/5): give it a try - great stopover receptionist brill hotel spotless stayed here 5 times perfect
- MARILYN (8/5): A convenient hotel - An ideal hotel for an overnight stop. Plenty of restaurants nearby offering 10% discount.
- Mrs J Solarczyk (6/5): - Ok
- Michael (2/5): - We didn’t stay there because hotels.com failed to amend our booking!
- MARILYN (10/5): - An excellent choice for a quick overnight stay en route to your final destination
Cordialement
- Michael (10/5): - This hotel is perfect for our needs whilst travelling to our holiday home in Central France. The price is good, the rooms are warm in winter and cool in summer and the breakfast is more than adequate.
- David (10/5): - Basic hotel but very clean and comfortable. Perfect for a one day visit to Chartres
- Colin (4/5): Disappointing ! - Was very disappointed in stay this time room was on the ground floor by reception smelt of cigarette smoke and people put tables right outside bedroom window and sat drinking and smoking and was very noisy until late
- Tim (10/5): - Comfortable & convenient with easy parking
- Jane (8/5): Ditch the duvets - We stay regularly overnight. But duvets far too hot! We always take covers off! Staff pleasant and hotel clean and well presented
- MARILYN (8/5): Overnight stay. - This is the perfect hotel for a quick stopover, with restaurants and bars nearby.
- Jane (10/5): Good one night stop - Ideal one night stop. Basic but all needs met
- Jane (10/5): Value for money - Clean comfortable and ideal for night stop
- Victoria (8/5): Good value for money - Comfortable and basic. Good value for money.
However, the grab rail and shower seat in the bathroom needs replacement, as heavily rusted. Otherwise clean and tidy.
Receptionist, friendly and helpful
Sinon chambre confortable .
- JEANETTE (8/5): - The hotel is usually very good, but on this occasion, we were given a room for disabled people?? Dont know why wasn't asked for. Bathroom sink very grubby.
- Pat (10/5): Great stay - Stop over for journey further south. Warm friendly welcome. Small room but clean comfortable ideal for 1 night stay. On bus route for easy access to Chartres centre well worth a visit. Lots of places to eat nearby. Great stay.
- tim (8/5): - The air con was inefficient, but all else good!
- jeanette (10/5): - Regular stop over, always excellent.
- Lawrence (10/5): France stop over - Just the job for one night . Will stay again !
- Mike (10/5): - I had reserved via Expedia and on arrival the lovely lady at the desk saw I was using crutches to help me walk and without asking gave me a mobility assisted room. Excellent service.
- David (10/5): - The hotel was convenient to where we were traveling to. It's the second time we have stayed there. Very clean and comfortable.
- roy (10/5): Highly reccomend - Really fresh and clean accomodation very quiet recommend highly
- Jane (10/5): Good overnight stay - Good for 1 night stay, huge hypermarket within walking distance
- Paula (4/5): - No hot water 😩
- Nancy (10/5): Super stay - Great stay. Minimal, clean, bright and airy. Quiet! Exactly what we needed for our stopover trip and a great price point. Would definitely stay again.
- jeanette (8/5): Barjouville stay. - Great stop over on our journey to Thiat . Choice at continental breakfast, pity no toaster this time . My only critique? Shower screen needs a really good clean at the bottom trim!!
Matelas trop dur .
Femme de ménage qui entre en chambre !!!
- Rose (6/5): - Not very clean. Also, very small.
- jeanette (8/5): Good overnight stay - Good hotel, have stayed several times before .However this time were given ground floor disabled room, good, bigger BUT, bathroom not good for able bodied. Sink, a bit stained and grubby, shower weak flow and flooded the whole room . The usual rooms we have had before have bern excellent, great powerful showers. Good fresh brekkie.
- jeanette (10/5): Good stop over - Good place to stop over on our journey, breaks it up well.could do with bigger pillows!!
- Antony (8/5): Ok for a stopover - good location - This hotel has a great location for a stopover travelling north or south. The room is the usual for a budget hotel. Small yet functional. Looking a little tired but good value for money. A couple more pillows would have been welcome. Lots of slamming doors at 0630 as a group were staying. The hotel didn’t seem busy, but I think all the guests were bunched together and thus it was a little noisy. Having said that, we would stay again.
- jeanette (10/5): Overnight stay - Excellent friendly welcome, surprise of a free Beaujolais buffet!!! Super.
- Tim (10/5): - Very comfortable and convenient travelling stop over.
- Jane (10/5): Good night stop - Basic clean and comfortable. Stone's throw from huge le clerks hypermarket. Good night stop. Awful kerb entry!
- Richard (10/5): - Perfect for an overnight stop.
- Gill (6/5): - Property was nice and clean. There is plenty of parking available and lots of places to eat very close by.
Breakfast is very basic.. croissants
Staff very helpful and friendly
Only stayed 1 night, but pleasant enough.
- Tara (10/5): - Happy with hotel! We will use again
- Paul (8/5): - Good
- James (10/5): - Perfect for an overnight stay. Restaurants within walking distance. AC! Perfect for one or two people.
- Maureen (10/5): - We were late arriving because of chaos at Dover and there were no problems
- Jean-pierre (8/5): Hôtel à retenir - Hôtel accueillant et propre
- Howard (8/5): Great for traveling Uk to Spain - Always stay here on our journeys to and from Spain. It’s very handy and there is huge Le clerc supermarket next to the hotel for purchases needed. There is also a bakery and several other food outlets on site. Only negative comment this stay was given accessible room which we weren’t keen on
- Sarah (8/5): 1/2 way stop Calais to Bordeaux - Good overnight stop on way from Calais to Bordeaux. Lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance.
- AWJ (8/5): Noisy hotel due to road traffic but, 1/2 way stop - Good stay on way to Calais. Main problem with the room was it is directly on the road/roundabout and the traffic starts early!!!!! Had to have the window open as so warm in the room but gave up with that because of the noise. Also the light to illuminate the hotel sign was directly under our window. Ask for a quiet room away from roadside!
- Alex (8/5): - Geweldig
- Steve (10/5): - Used as a overnight stop. One of the more modern hotels in this chain.
- JOHN (10/5): - Nice room. Helpful Receptionist.
- J (10/5): Perfect stat - Perfect in every way, amazing staff
- Tina (10/5): - Many eateries nearby. Quiet and generally fine. Only one complaint -the pillow! Like many places in France.
- Christine (10/5): Chartres overnight - Great place to stop on way south from Calais. Lovely clean, modern hotel. Room was spacious and the en-suite was larger than expected and modern.
Hotel was situated close to a few eating places and a large L'Eclerc shopping centre.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good comfortable basic hotel
- annette (8/5): Good - Very clean and tidy. Plenty of free parking. Situated on big trading estate with plenty of shops and restaurants
- Raymond (10/5): - The stay as usual was excellant, breakfast included in price a bonus. Shopping centre across the road very acceptable for a shopping alcoholic like myself.😂😂
- MR A A (10/5): - Just a 1 night stopover. Fine clean room, no problems. Hope to see you again.
- Jane (10/5): deal night stop - Very clean. Breakfast OK, ideal night stop. Bit awkward to find. Stripped cover off duvet, cannot understand why hotels have them in hot weather!
- Marion (8/5): Excellent hotel in convenient area - An excellent hotel in a very convenient area. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The receptionist was really helpful and carried my medical concentrator into my room for me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good comfortable bed, quiet location, nice outside seating.
- AWJ (10/5): Half way stop Calais - Bordeaux - Perfect half way stop between Calais and Bordeaux. Restaurants around and good bar
- Stephen (10/5): Could not fault this hotel & its staff. - We could not fault this hotel. Staff very friendly, excellent cleanliness & a lovely spacious, clean room. Bed was very comfortable & the bathroom facilities excellent. Probably the best Premiere Classe we have stayed in whilst travelling through France to Spain. Would definitely use again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived late but it was easy to check in using the automated service. On the whole our room was clean however the shower cubicle was not and the TV remote control was disgusting to the point that I didn't want to touch it. We only saw one member of staff when we left and he was friendly and polite.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Upmarket Première Class Hotel with a bit more space & larger bathroom. Breakfast a little limited.
- jeff (4/5): Okay for a pragmatic stay - It was a fine place for an overnight stay, but certainly misses any charm. You can tell it is a spot for many male workers. As non-French speakers, it felt a bit unsafe.
- Rule5 (8/5): - Excellent value. Would stay again.
................
- alan (10/5): - Perfect stopover for our journey to Malaga
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We have used this ideal stop over hotel a number of times on our trips south. Staff very helpful and polite. Rooms are basic and functional for a night stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel is very very easy to find (close to the N10) and is surrounded by a variety of restaurants. It appears to be quite new - and does not have external circulation like older Premiere Classe properties. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and the buffet breakfast has a reasonable range of options. For the price, this is good value.
- michael (10/5): Highly Recommend - We would highly recommend. Cleanliness 10/10, staff 10/10, location 10/10.
Plenty of restaurants and bars. Massive shopping centre with restaurants. Perfect for stop over. Don’t be put off by the price we stayed in nine hotels to and from Spain some triple the price but this was one of the cleanest. A credit to management and staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to a lot of shops ex good location for the ferry
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location with restaurants and hyper market within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is the best Premmier Class Hotel we have stayed at.
- Joan (10/5): Premier classe Chartres, Barjourville. - We stayed overnight on our way South, and overnight 2 weeks later on our way home.We had 2 rooms and breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants and also a retail park opposite. The rooms were clean and comfortable with air con which was necessary with the watm weather. Easy access to the main routes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - it was a nice, simple and convenient hotel and I would use it again
- THOMPSON (10/5): Good place to stay - Receptionist very helpful room nice and clean and a good size situated close to shops and the hotel was quiet at night . Will definitely use this hotel again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I have stayed in Premiere Classe properties before and so was aware of its probable facilities and layout. This one appeared to be completely new. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. I would have liked to have seen more choice for breakfast. Otherwise - for the price - excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ideal hotel for a stop over. My room was hot and even though I turned the heating down it remained hot but with the window open it was noisy so difficult to sleep uninterrupted. However - ideally placed - clean and not expensive so I would use again.
- Susan (8/5): Short stay passing through - Stayed one night as we were passing through. No one was at the front desk when we checked in an so we had to use the automated machine to the right of the front door. This was a little tricky to navigate. But after a few attempts we figured it out.
Our room was clean and neat. It was quiet and within walking distance to several places to eat.
Breakfast was basic-coffee, tea, breads, yogurt, etc.
- Paul (8/5): Perfect for an overnight travel stop - We have stayed at Première Classe hotels in different towns before but this hotel is by far the best. The person on the desk was friendly and could speak English. The rooms were spacious and very tidy. This could be because the hotel is reasonably new. The location has restaurants close by and is close to the main road for quick access. A good value hotel and we will definitely stay here again.
- Mike (8/5): - Very clean and modern, and nectto some good restaurants
- Raymond (6/5): Disappointed yet again, - I made a comment last time I stayed at the hotel about being put in a disabled room with a seat in the shower, why is this sorry to say the liquid soap is still a distance from the sink once you’ve used the toilet, sad to say I will not be staying at that hotel ever again.
- Keith (8/5): Great overnight stay - Close to the motorway and in the middle of a shopping retail park/ area , also with lots of restaurants nearby. Dog friendly with a country park for dog walking a couple of miles away. Would recommend.
- Brian P (10/5): Automated machine check-in - It is a nice, clean place. The problem was that if you arrive for check-in after 9 pm, you have to check-in through a machine, like an ATM. It should be stated on the reservation so that guests are aware and not to worry about contacting the front desk / reservations. We couldn't get our call through to reach the front desk / reservations to let them know we would be arriving past 9 pm which made us panic and think we wouldn't be able to check in even though we already paid for it. We had to contact the 800# of Hotels.com in the US to contact the hotel to find out what we need to do. Thank goodness for a live person who we could speak to! Anyway, as I said, it is like an ATM machine where you put your reservation or last name in and it spits out your room key and receipt. It was easy, but wished that was included on the reservations so that we didn't stress out.
Once we did get in and to our room, all was fine. Nice, clean room, nothing fancy. Clean bed, towels and combo soap / shampoo dispenser in shower.
- Jennifer (10/5): Probably okay if you don’t check in late - A little mix up at check in because if you come after the desk closes you have to use a kiosk and it required full payment even though hotels dot com had already collected full payment. In the morning the hotel offered to write me a check for refund ( in my non native currency which would have been a hassle) but hotels refunded it within a day. Room was comfortable but not terribly clean as there was mold in grout lines of shower and razor stubble around the sink. In the morning a man in parking lot followed us to car soliciting something and when we arrived in the evening our kiosk check in was observed by 9 men standing outside in nightclothes smoking, some smelled like alcohol. Okay to stay if you accept there is no supervision of activity. Bed was comfy, shower hot, mall across the street, a few minutes to Chartres.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap, comfortable - Shower wer room floor angled so water came under bathroom door and a slightly distracting noise from the ventilation system. But the price is very low, water hot and the beds comfy. Perfect for a quick stop over.
- sue (8/5): Perfect stop over for south of france - Tend to use as stopover on way to and from Dordogne. Small and basic but clean rooms and close to restaurants to grab a meal. Breakfast also good for the money,
