- Cyndia (8/5): Great room and breakfast but no streaming TV services - Great sized room with everything you need to be comfortable and sleep.well. No streaming services and a smaller than preferred TV. It's very out of touch to only offer cable channels (with loads of ads) so please consider keeping pace with your competitors and add streaming TVs like we had at two Hilton properties this vacation. It makes all the difference!

THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH MY CHECK IN AS BOOKING NEVER SENT OVET THE CHANGED DATES, BUT THE FRONT DESK..I THINK HER NAME WAS MELISSA, WAS ALL OVER IT TRYING TO HELP GET ME CHECK IN PROMPTLY. CALLED HER BOSS, REVIEWED THE MANUAL FOR EXTERNAL BOOKING AND IT WAS ON BOOKING.COM'S SIDE OF THINGS. I WAS ON HOLD WITH THEM WHILE SHE WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT MY ISSUE ON THE BACKEND. Also, the coffee was excellent. The ice maker being broken on our floor was a bummer.

At least it didn’t smell like dog. Breakfast was largely not edible, and I’ll eat just about anything. Eggs tasted like lukewarm plastic. Fridge compressor was very loud and had to unplug st night.

- cynthia (9/5): Very comfortable Stay - Booked this hotel months ahead of the big Thanksgiving game knowing we had to drive in to A2 to meet our daughter. This location was so easy, 11 mins away from her apt, it was immaculately clean, and there was coffee, tea, oatmeal in the lobby starting at 6am. I liked this hotel so much I rebooked it for her graduation in May. Nothing. We liked everything.

- Rachel (4/5): Needs Renovations - The staff that work at the front desk seem to work hard and do their best. We were impressed with their efforts. However, the room we stayed in was extremely outdated and stains were everywhere. There were also stains all over the carpets throughout the hallways and elevators of the hotel. The bathroom in our room was not clean. A main light was not working at all so they switched us to another room but the review still applies, if not more so. The front desk did mention that they are in the process of their "ten year renovation" (didn't see any signs of this other than maybe the lobby), and the room we were in looked like it hadn't been renovated in over twenty years. Furthermore, we did not have a smart TV so there was no movie watching or streaming at all! Just a lame channel lineup with a terrible picture. We were not expecting this and between that and our room, it felt like we stepped back in time. Had we known, we would not have rented at this hotel because we were two moms on a girls' trip with our middle school and high school age daughters. Watching a movie was part of the planned fun! We also opted out of using the pool. It did not look clean or up to date. Breakfast was probably the best value there. I'm sorry to have to give a negative review, but until this hotel is renovated I cannot recommend it.

- Johnstone (3/5): Very poor value for the price - It was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was decent Grossly overpriced. Probably the most I've paid for a motel, therefore making the following problems inexcusable. Wifi signal strength fluctuated and frequently dropped (and this was just to read messages, news, and other low demand uses). Heating/cooling unit was so loud that it had to be turned off; fortunately, weather was such that temperature remained acceptable in room, but some air circulation would have been nice. Probably the worst towels I've seen in a hotel - very thin and cheap. If the cost of the room was 1/3 of what I paid, I wouldn't mention this. Haven't stayed in a HIE in quite a while; they used to be very good, but after this experience I won't use one again if I have other options

- Lisa (10/5): - Very pleased with our choice! The building and rooms are clean and well maintained. The proximity to Michigan Stadium is perfect. They even offer a shuttle service to the games. We did not use this service but it is a great extra perk!

- Diana (8/5): - The room was so dark you could not read a book without opening the window shades, but we were on the ground floor where anyone can look in. It was frustrating not to have bright light when working at the desk or doing paperwork or even sitting in the chair that had a light fixture just over my head that gave off a yellow glow. It was like living in a cave. I would walk into the entry way or the bathroom to read properly. The property was nice, the bed was comfortable, the people were nice, location was great. Put in a central light so you can see to pack your bags!!

She made sure we had everything we needed and we appreciated it so much that we’re writing this review. We definitely will be coming back!

- sandyeZ7711HI (10/5): Excellent Stay in Ann Arbor! - We came from Seattle with family to attend our granddaughter’s graduation. We spent 4 nights at the Holiday Inn Express and were very impressed. The room was impeccable, the staff were so friendly and the breakfast was very, very good with many choices and they were all quite tasty. I might add that their warm cinnamon rolls were a real treat. The bed was comfortable with very nice bedding and a choice of pillows. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay in Ann Arbor.

The lady who works nights at the Reception was excellent. converting to IHG points was impossible, as I booked over Booking dot Com, and that did not allow me to get IHG points. What a disappointment of IHG loyalty program (not Holiday Inn problem)

Great pit stop hotel for our journey back home. - Very clean, beds and pillows are super comfortable, loved the fact there was shampoo/ conditioner and body wash were Dove, and finally the breakfast was really good and super clutch! I was placed on hold for quite a while when I called front desk to inquire on something, but they were probably busy of course. Other than that everything went smoothly.
