• Julia (8/5): Erholsame Tage am Strand - Die Lage ist einfach fantastisch, direkt am Strand. Menschenleer und man kann lange Spaziergänge unternehmen. Auch mit der Anlage waren wir zufrieden. 2 Poolbecken (einer zum Schwimmen, ca. 1,40 m tief und 1 kleiner Runder zum Verweilen oder für die Kinder, da die Wassertiefe nur ca. 1 m ist). Ein Ballplatz, wo die Kinder gerne Fußball und Basketball gespielt haben. Unser Bungalow war einfach, aber sauber. Das Personal war sehr nett und das Frühstück frisch. Es gab Pancakes oder Gallo Pinto mit Rührei und Kochbananen. Einmal haben wir Vormittags einen Ausflug gemacht und konnten nicht am Frühstück in der Anlage teilnehmen. Daher haben sie uns am Vorabend Pancakes gebacken und geschnittene Früchte gebracht, die wir am frühen Morgen schon verspeißen konnten. Sehr nett. Die Anlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber war gepflegt und soweit in Ordnung. Die Straßenhunde sind ein wenig nervig. (Sie gehen von Grundstück zu Grundstück und streunern.) Alle lieb und gehen auch gleich weiter. Aber unser 2 Jähriger hat sich jedesmal sehr erschrocken.

• Padgett (7/5): - The location is gorgeous. The food was wonderful and staff very sweet and friendly. The resort is old and can use some maintaince. The steps and rails to the decks are in disrepair. Beach chairs breaking.

• roamic (4/5): Beautiful but dangerous. - Location was great, breakfast was adequate, in fact they would make you anything you wanted. My opinion may be affected by seeing the body of a drowned man being pulled out of the water right after we got there. But the shower used a tankless hot water heater built into the showerhead. This was okay, except that the wiring was exposed. A day or so later I noticed a light switch inside the shower. There is a separate shower behind the pool to rinse off your feet with a hose. There was also exposed wiring up in a corner. The water from the hose could perhaps get up there. Later we had dinner with a Costa Rican friend who is an electrician. I showed him the photos and he said "Very dangerous!"
• Steph ☀️ (8/5): - Un hotel surprenant et qui correspond a son nom. Ici le calme est de mise : plage deserte et coucher de soleil au calme. L’hotel est vetuste mais c’est un detail a coté du lieu exceptionnel ou il se situe. Le personnel est adorable, mention speciale a Francesco de la manutention qui aide tout le monde. Un petit paradis perdu entre la plage et l etang ou les singes et les ecureuils viennent nous rendre visite le matin. Il manque pas mal d ustensile plur cuisiner et ceux qui sont là sont vieux

• Denisa & Lubos (5/5): Nevrátili by sme sa - Palo Seco je naša obľúbená oblasť. Dlhá cesta popri pláži a unikátna atmosféra. More bolo čisté a priezračné napriek neďalekej rieke a každý deň sme si užili oheň na pláži pri západe slnka. O záhradu je krásne postarané a raňajky boli veľmi dobré, aj keď treba dlho čakať. Matrace v izbách boli veľmi tvrdé, čo nám vyhovovalo. Náš dom bol najďalej od pláže, čo by až tak nevadilo, ale pocitovo bol súčasťou parkoviska a nie záhrady. Dom by potreboval hĺbkové čistenie. Izby boli v poriadku na prespatie, ale okná si nepamätali umývanie a celkovo sme z domu nemali pocit, že by na ňom majiteľovi záležalo. Postele mali hrubé prikrývky, ktoré však nemali obliečky, a tak sme z toho mali zvláštny pocit. Uteráky mali veľa škvŕn. V kuchyni nás čakala pleseň v kávovare, jediný hrniec, čo tam bol, bol hrdzavý. Ryžovar bol taktiež v zlom stave a všetko sme si pred používaním museli umyť. Skrinky boli zatuchnuté a radšej sme ich potom ani neotvárali. Nečakali sme niečo extra za pomerne nízku sumu za ubytovanie na Kostarike, ale chýbala tomu láska a pozornosť.

• Marwan (1/5): After a really long drive it was so disapointing - There wasn't alot to like sin e we didn't make it past our horible room The room was disgusting. Bed bugs and cockroaches everywhere. The toilet seat was broken, the towels were wet and smelled bad. The manager was nice after noticing the condition of the room however it was his job to inspect the room before we arrived so I didn't believe he didn't know the room looked like that. No one else was working there so I'm sure he was the one who cleaned also. Don't sell this hotel until they upgrade something.
• CLAUDIA ARRIETA TOFFOLO (6/5): Bel emplacement mais déçu par l'hôtel - Hotel super bien placé au bord de la mer avec une vue exceptionnelle. La gentillesse du personnel Hotel vieillot, et moyennement entretenu. Il ne correspond plus tout à fait aux photos... Le petit déjeuner était prévu à 8h sauf que rien n'était prêt à 8h, il fallait attendre une demi heure de plus pour avoir le petit déjeuner.
• Ulrike (6/5): Perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp von 2 bis 4 Tage, wenn man keine Ansprüche hat. - Lage am einsamen kilometerlangen Strand. Wir hatten leider Pech mit dem Zimmer. Es waren Tiere im Badezimmer. Nach Reklamation wurde mit Insektenspray gesprüht aber am nächsten Tag waren wieder welche da.
• Alexander (6/5): - Wunderschöner Strand mit tollen Sonnenuntergang. Das Restaurant war zu. Bar gab es nicht. Die Zimmerbilder sind sehr geschönt. Room Service gab es nicht. Und das Frühstück war echt nicht lecker.
• Till (9/5): - Sehr ruhige Lage zwischen Strand und Lagune. Das von uns gebuchte Zimmer war nicht frei. Das ohnehin erst ab 8 angebotene Frühstück war eher enttäuschend und kam erst kurz vor 9.
• Alexander (7/5): - Super Lage, an einem sehr ruhigen Strand one viele Touristen. Zum Surfen ideal, auch für Anfänger. Die Anlage ist weitläufig und es gibt nur wenige Zimmer, sodass es sehr ruhig ist. Personal ist sehr freundlich und man bekommt meist alles was man braucht, wenn man danach fragt (siehe Kritikpunkte unten). Die Anlage ist extrem veraltet und vieles ist in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Der Name "Resort" ist völlig übertrieben. Es ist eher eine Ferienwohnung die man auf einem Hotelgelände bucht. Keine tägliche Zimmerreinigung, man muss jedes Mal das Personal fragen. Frühstück entspricht nicht den Bildern (sehr mau, oft das Gleiche) und wurde immer zu spät serviert. Restaurant auf der Anlage nur an manchen Tagen geöffnet. Viele streunenden Hunde auf der Anlage.

Ubicación muy lindo y tranquilo Desayuno Pésimo y sin acceso a agua caliente en habitación. Una hamaca buena y otra podrida. Mesa de billar en pésimas condiciones
• Larouche (7/5): Bon séjour malgré quelques irritants - Le complexe porte bien son nom, c’est tranquille! Nous avions le bungalow 2 chambre, 1 seule salle de bain. Bon air climatisé dans les chambres. Cuisine extérieure sympathique. La plage est magnifique et les couchers de soleil sont incroyables. La piscine est rafraîchissante. Les singes sont bien présents et circulent d’arbres en arbres pour notre plus grand plaisir. C’est vieillot. Les lits sont très durs. La cuisine est mal équipée. Apportez vos linges à vaisselles, produits et nourriture. Le complexe est isolé donc pas d’épicerie autour.

• Ursula (5/5): Ausser der Lage ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht. - sehr gute Lage, direkt am Meer - jedoch sonst abgelegen. Mitarbeitende waren wenig engagiert. Das Hotel ist abgelegen und hat kein Restaurant. Frühstücksdame erschien erst kurz vor 09.00h. Vorher gibt es nichts.

Good wifi, hot water, Good bed. It looks it a place easy to relax. I had a room with sea view. It is a very isolated place. Restaurant open very limited hours. Supermarket 20 minutes drive away. Breakfest just okay.
• Basilio (5/5): - La tranquilidad. No había agua caliente, y no había nadie para contactar ni recepción ni portero hasta el día siguiente. ¿Dijeron que había saltado el diferencial?. Queríamos extender nuestra estancia, pero visto el panorama nos marchamos a otro sitio.
• Ricarda (7/5): - Es gibt kilometerlange, einsame Strände, wofür wir den etwas weiteren und holprigen Weg gern in Kauf genommen haben. Die Pflanzen der Grünanlagen sind sehr gepflegt und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir hatten bei dem Preis und den Fotos andere Erwartungen. Der Strandabschnitt der Anlage wirkte ungepflegt, sowohl in der Befestigung des Zugangs als auch bezüglich der zur Verfügung gestellten Liegen, Stühle. Das Zimmer war klein, abgenutzt, die Küchenecke geräumig. Allerdings waren die Küchen - Utensilien stark abgenutzt und sehr unvollständig. Das Frühstück war kein 4* Hotel - Frühstück. Der Pool konnte nicht benutzt werden, das angegebene Restaurant war nicht in Betrieb.

• Fabrice (3/5): Décevant - L’endroit très jolie au calme en bord de mer La chambre petit lit , les coussins du beton les rideaux etaient juste de voile donc on voyait tout de dehors et bien sûr il n’y avait pas de volet. Le petit déjeuner et le personnel inexistant ! A 7h nous nous pointons pour un bon p’tit dej et personne ! Nous devions partir à 7h30 on a attendu toujours personne. Ce n’est pas sérieux petit déjeuner payé mais inexistant . Pas de personnel . Dommage car l’endroit est vraiment beau.

Bon endroit pour se reposer Très sympa de voir de nombreux singes capucins qui se promènent au bord du lac, des écureuils et des petits iguanes dans le jardin L’eau de la petite piscine était propre et à très bonne température. Personnel très sympathique et arrangeant. Bungalow très vieillot. Les poêles et casseroles sont rouillées et inutilisables. Petit déjeuner trop simplet. • Dovilė (5/5): Nice beach but resort pictures are better than it’s in real - Nice beach, there no people The room was very small and dark, we had only one small window. We asked to change and upgrade to bigger room and bigger windrow, but the owner told us that they don’t have available rooms but we saw that during our stay that bigger room was available. Breakfast was simple. There wasn’t clean, it was not pleasure to stay. The road is difficult, you need to go 20 min in bad road with a lot of hole until resort from the main road.
• Ronald (6/5): - A young man named Xavier was exceptional. The facilities were passable. The pool was not usable for the first two days of our stay. Children were swimming in it the 3rd day - but not me or my family. The yellow and green algae that greeted us on the first day were too fresh in our memories. The room above me on the first night had a noisy, creaky wood floor. Woke up 6 times. The grounds and beach were beautiful.
• Pubali (9/5): A tranquil stay at Tranquilidad Resort 😊 - - Serene location - Lots of wildlife (monkeys, birds, butterflies) hanging out around the resort property - Common areas, amenities and entertainment well kept even during the low season - Free use of kayaks - Ocean view observation decks - Well-equipped bungalows, ideal for groups - Friendly staff Breakfast was nice and simple, but could have been better.
• Dillman (7/5): A great place to go if you are looking for a quiet retreat, with miles of beautiful beach. - The location is excellent, if you like a beautiful, peaceful beach. It is a bit of a long drive down a gravel road, but if you want to be away from the busy tourist areas, it's well worth the drive. If you like dogs, there are plenty around that will visit you, and join you for a walk on the beach. The restaurant was closed, and food options very limited. I am forgiving of this, because we went during the off season ( we were the only guests there).
• Katherine (10/5): This is now one of my favorite places. - Loved the access to the beach, the service was amazing. The food was great. I would stay here again anytime. The big pool could use a blue paint color.

• Josine (9/5): Parrita Paradise - Loved the location on an isolated beach, near end of road. We spotted lizards, parrots, macaws nearby. It's a very nice little hotel, staff is helpful and friendly. We ate breakfast and supper here too, chef did an amazing job. Wear bug spray and don't leave your door or windows open because there are tiny flies you cannot see (noseems?). I think these are a problem in many areas of Costa Rica.

• Christine (4/5): Remote and not good value for money - Compared to other comparably priced hotels this was below par on accommodation, cleanliness and service. The hotel is remote with the nearest soda being about 30 min drive away due to the road condition. Which means you’ve got to eat at the hotel restaurant (it took over an hour to receive our order) and pay $4 a beer. Sea is not suitable for swimming.
• Amanda (10/5): Underrated - the stay was amazing - Stayed in a bungalow the rooms are simple but immaculately clean and the service was phenomenal. We were brought dinner to our room. We only stayed for one night but ended up staying down the road at another house because we loved the beach so much. Steven was excellent. nothing
• Jeri Lynn (10/5): - Very beautiful, private scenery. Had the beach to ourselves many times. Very spacious rooms and outdoor kitchen. Staff super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. There were a lot of ants on counters and in shower and it would have been great to have shampoo, conditioner, and soap for the dishes. Dinner options are expensive and not very good. Pool was great. The surroundings are the best part about this property, but it's a bit of a drive. Well worth it.

• Alejandro (10/5): Great Beach Front Hotel - This place is so pretty and right on the beach. The pool is nice and the garden area great to sit and have coffee or drinks. The staff are super friendly too! The cherry on top is that they are pet friendly. Our dog had a great time.

• Ed (8/5): Nice and Quiet - the beach, the pool area, the pool table, the games in the common area were fine... the breakfast was really average but it was fine for the price paid. I didn't like that it was too dark in some green areas, making it kind of dangerous to walk by at night, I hit a rock with my foot, nothing to worry about, but it can be a little dangerous, more lights in the beach so you can hang around would be a good idea
• Dana (10/5): A truly relaxing, gorgeous, accommodating vacation. Thank you, Steven!! - Beautiful setting literally on the beach! Lovely landscaping, with garden paths filled with butterflies. Comfortable beds. Delicious breakfasts and great bar. Gorgeous ocean; we could always hear the beautiful sound of ocean waves and interesting birds. The staff was amazing; accommodating all our needs and providing great communication. There is nothing we didn’t like.
• Monge (7/5): Good Location but bad staff service and confusion with the rooms. No pre notice restaurant closed. - The location and the place is great. The woman that was in reception gave us poor service. First we were charged more for the room because the taxes were not included in the price, then we couldn't have lunch because the restaurant was closing when we arrived, we got there at 2 pm, she mentioned they had issues with the restaurant and that is why it will be closed for dinner as well, however, we think it was closed due to change of shifts and they did not have any cooker for afternoon shift. We had to drive 3 km back to find a restaurant to eat lunch. . Then, she also gave us a different room (1 room with 2 beds) not what we booked here on booking (bungalow with 2 bedrooms). However, after we having lunch, we got back and another man (I think the name was Javier) was in reception and fixed the confusion with the rooms and told us the restaurant will be open from 5 to 7 pm for lunch. Thanks to this afternoon receptionist our stay changed for good!!!
• Jesús David (8/5): Buena experiencia para descansar - El Hotel buena relación precio beneficio, muy tranquilo y limpio, las piscinas limpias, la playa apta para los niños, la comida del restaurante muy buena y económica. Lo desfavorable la presencia de perros sin dueño que al momento de las comidas están siempre presentes. Tener en cuenta que queda muy retirado de cualquier comercio y a 15 minutos de camino en lastre.

• Paul (8/5): - Tranquilidad’s name delivers it best traits. If you are interested in a beautiful and secluded location that offers pristine and quiet but incredibly beautiful breathtaking and amazing beaches, this is location to consider. However, with this seclusion you will have to accept that a variety of dining options and high end dining will not be a realistic option. Although what they do offer is decent food at very reasonable cost. There was a nice restaurant on the same road about 3 miles away that offered great cocktails and very good food. Tranquilidad is very laid back and I thoroughly enjoyed my four days and nights once I settled into the vibe! I would go back, but next time with a partner to share the natural beauty, the pre dawn morning sunrises and the gorgeous sunsets!

• Christina (2/5): - In unserem Zimmer war es sehr staubig und schmutzig. Toilettenpapier und Handtücher gab es nur auf Nachfrage und sehr widerwillig. Die Qualität des Frühstücks war ebenfalls nicht zufriedenstellend. Die gesamte Anlage ist voller streunender Hunde, die dort ihr Geschäft verrichten, das niemand weg macht.
• Bev (6/5): With some modernization and attention, this property is a gem for a quiet place that you can walk for miles on the beach - The staff… Sylvia’s and Javier are amazing and made the stay worthwhile. The quiet and private location with great access to beach, The breakfast inclusion is a delightful addition to the stay! Much is antiquated and badly in need of improvement… It appears that is being worked on. The kitchen dishes and cooking facilities are in desperate need of replacement. It is overpriced for the current state

The best is the location, non turistic, one of the longest beach. You need a car , there is nothing around, which is perfect. The mattress need to be replaced.

We were hoping to be able to surf outside the front, but the conditions weren't very good. The place was good for a night, nice viewing deck over the beach. The room was spacious. ( we had one with 2 bedrooms) Better curtains, the light from the garden came though.

So the apartment is super noisy and not isolated. Apartment is also right by the pool so can be noisy. Breakfast was bad.
