- Lisa (10/5): Comfortable, reliable and clean! - Super clean, very comfortable, close to freeway to get to where we were going! I feel like the property might be a little overpriced for the area
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Kvann (10/5): -
- Daniel (8/5): 8 of 10 would stay again. - All in, it was a good experience. The bathroom was pretty small and the toilet really low. I mean really low.
- Nancy (10/5): - The front desk staff was very friendly & helpful answering all my questions.
Thank you for being patient and kind!
- Shayna (8/5): excellent! i would recommend and stay again - better than other hotels in the area such as the bear river casino hotel. the best western has a professional staff, comfortable beds, it’s clean, and quiet in general. i didn’t love that the building and the room itself were older and not super modern. they should also offer more value to their customers.

- Daydream57646882103 (10/5): Comfortable and Clean - I am so incredibly surprised! It has been years since I last stayed at a Best Western, but this experience totally changed my perspective. The hotel was absolutely perfect for our needs.
Our room was spotless and very comfortable, providing the perfect home base for our trip. I was also impressed by the laundry facilities—they were super clean and easy to use. The breakfast exceeded my expectations as well; it was a fantastic spread to start the day.
The staff truly stood out, too—very attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. The real "topper" for us was the great green space. They even have a dedicated dog area fully stocked with bags. It’s such a thoughtful touch, though it’s a bit disappointing when other pet owners don’t take advantage of the bags to clean up after their pets.
- Patricia (7/5): - Pet friendly
Room was a good size, on the larger side.
Included breakfast was just okay. The location is by the hiway
- KAREN (10/5): Great location, friendly staff - We enjoyed the location. It was quiet but right off the freeway and maybe a 10 min drive to downtown Arcata. Staff was friendly! Breakfast options were available to us. There is a grocery store nearby and the small fridge and microwave were great to have. Pillows could have been better.
- Leslie (10/5): Fantastic - It very clean and everyone is very nice The pool water could have been cleaned looked cloudy and not blue

- Kori (8/5): Pleasantly surprised. And Eli is awesome! - The facilities are clean, well lit, well maintained, and staff are seen out and about. So you feel safe. The room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Peanut butter cookies were yummy. Staff very friendly. While close to freeway, the area in general is a little questionable. However, the place itself feels safe.

- Hoogeveen (9/5): I would stay here again, easy to get to, clean and safe. Slightly overpriced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. - Clean and well maintained, something’s are a little outdated but the cleanliness made it not an issue. I also do not typically stay in a motel because they don’t feel safe, however this property was great and felt very secure. The only thing I did not enjoy was the bed. Not comfortable. Bedding was clean and nice, mattress was terrible.
- Cindy (9/5): - The place is a nice relaxing atmosphere
- Lawrence (10/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Paul (8/5): Very nice, will stay again - Breakfast was the only weak point. Food wasn't ready when we arrived and not very tasty when it was available. Staff at breakfast seemed too busy, which wasn't their fault.
- bullwinkel (10/5): - Breakfast was great
- JOHN (10/5): everything met our needs - breakfast was great.. only spent night there, had to leave right after breakfast.
- Hazel (10/5): - Everything was nice and clean N/a
- Joan (6/5): okay - Seems BW has worked on this site---paint, new fixtures, carpet. BW hasn't totally reworked the bath/toilet area. needs plaster work, paint.
- Samson (10/5): - Professional and friendly reception staff, high shower water pressure, good breakfast with many options, great atmosphere and comfortable, cool and quiet room. Also great room availability, booking process, and accomodations for dogs. Light switch in room had a orange back light that flickered constantly. Switch is likely old and in need of replacement.
- Lisandra (10/5): I highly recommend this hotel the service was fantastic! - The hospitality was great! Staff was very friendly and accommodating! There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.
- Stephanie (10/5): Thank you !!! - Staff is friendly and super accommodating!
- Rebecca (8/5): - Liked the room, clean room, and large grassy pet area. Breakfast quality has declined since our last time, please use real eggs not egg product. Loud pipes had to keep bathroom door closed.

- Jim (10/5): Good nights sleep. Very clean room! - Very clean Nothing
- Brown (10/5): - I liked that the staff member, Will was very helpful when we found the original room had a strange smell. Our original room had a pungent smell that gave us a headache.
- Heidi (8/5): It was a decent place to stay for the money. - The location was great and the room was clean. We are used to a firmer mattress so we didn’t sleep real well.
- Susan (10/5): Convenient location, clean and quiet rooms, great staff and beautiful flowers and landscaping. - The breakfast included different hot dishes each day, waffles, fruit, yogurt, juices, tec. It was well presented and the breakfast room was pleasant and very clean!

- melissamV1183HI (2/5): Secret room deposit upon check in - Attention: In Arcata California at Best Western ,Their is a 200 deposit requirement to check into your room after having made a reservation and the customer wont get it ba k for up to 4 days. .
So we had a hotel Voucher from a booking that was messed up by bookings .com customer service agent . So we went and booked a room at Arcata Best Western . We paid for it using the vochure and when we got there, we were told we had to have a 200 dollar deposit on a debit card. That this deposit would take 3 or 4 days to get back. This was nowhere on their website otherwise i would not have booked it. Therefore we did not get to stay at this hotel . The next morning I get a message saying thank you for your stay as if we had stayed there . What kind of hotel sends a thank you for staying there when we never got too because of the deposit issue and why the hell do we have a room number when we never got to check in because of not having the 200 dollar deposit available on a debit card that they get to keep for up to 4 days ! What kind of shady business is this . We didn't get to stay there because of your deposit requirement that you do not state on your website. You should have to state your hotel deposit requirement on your booking page . Now my vochure says it was used and I am out yet again another hotel room . This is not okay. I WANT MY VOUCHER BACK and I want an apology . I am a frequent motel stayer and this is a big issue that I will not give up on until it is made right. You cannot do people like this and its not right . I know my laws and I suggest u learn yours.
- Pan Am #1 (7/5): very convenient location - breakfast was very good with plenty of choice I had some ants in my bathroom but the front desk agent to whom i reported it to immediately went to the room and sprayed it
- Kristi (8/5): -
- Michael J (8/5): Great except for this one mgr - Breakfast was great but one staff mgr was rude and justified his workers incompetencies. He ignored the customer request while justifying the failures of his staff. This mgr needs more soft skills training when dealing with patrons who pay his salary.
- Josh (9/5): Great and would stay again - Property was clean and quiet, hot tub was great, the staff was great and the breakfast was good.
- HIROYUKI (7/5): 期待の水準 - 標準的、朝食はアメリカのホテル水準以上、シャワーは快適 特段なし
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Alison (10/5): Great place to stay - The hot breakfast is very good with great options. Especially appreciated good coffee. Liked the cookie on check- in. The hot tub is well maintained. The pet fee was steep. Should be cheaper for those staying more than 1 night. $35.00/ night?
- Joseph (7/5): -
- Sabrina (9/5): - Hôtel confortable avec une piscine ouverte jusqu'à 22h et un petit déjeuner complet.
- Sally (10/5): -
- Grace (10/5): Excellent - Staff were helpful The cold nights
- Backstrom (9/5): -
- Patty (9/5): Great place to stay in Arcata - breakfast, layout of rooms
- january (10/5): We will be back - Comfy clean convenient N/a
- john (7/5): Staff at front desk were great and the morning buffet was nice & clean. - Pubic hair in two places in the shower. On top of shampoo dispenser & on top of valve. Also, damp in front of air conditioner. Took off shoes and bottom of feet were wet,(socks).
- Karin (8/5): - La camera grande e spaziosa , pulita e letti comodi. Lo colazione non era di mio gradimento
- Hess (10/5): - Great front desk staff!
- Pam (10/5): -
- John (7/5): -
- Hugh (8/5): - Clean room. Breakfast was ok, but could be better. Staff helpful and pleasant.
- Jacklyn (10/5): - Staff was very welcoming, their hot breakfast was delicious and there were various options to choose from. Overall a very nice and pleasant stay. Also appreciated the specified area for animals was quite large, it was a nice bonus.
- juan (10/5): - It was a great experience, from checking in to check out. No issues. All staff kind and professional. Facilities clean, room was spacious and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.
- Lorraine (9/5): -
- Darvin (8/5): i recommend this hotel when you visit arcata, eureka, crescent city - Very convenient, great breakfast, clean and comfortable. pm front desk was very nice and helpful. not much aside from the weather when we were there.
- Diane (7/5): It was just right for a 1 night stay in between destinations - The pet area was great, a large beautifully landscaped grassy area with a nice gazebo. The location was not the best. Right next to a motel 6 and super 8.
- Sarah Lyn (10/5): -
- Myo (10/5): - Stayed one night 2 Queen bed with family
- Jen The Brit (7/5): - Lower priced than comparable hotels with breakfast included. Comfy beds. Useful to have an on-site guest coin-op laundry. Fresh cookies in the afternoons in reception area. Mold on the shower ceiling, dirty hot tub, tiny bathroom, tight parking spaces. As a person with dairy allergies and diabetes i would have liked a few more savory breakfast choices. They had cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit cups, toast and bagels, plain cheerios and cinnamon toast crunch. Only 1 day there were bananas. Hotels always need better towel hanging facilities.
- Alena (9/5): -
- John (8/5): -
- HONGYANG (10/5): - rooms were spacious and clean. had a decent variety for breakfast and the hot tub was nice after a day of hiking.
- Ed (6/5): Nice for a quick stop. - Quick one night stay while visiting Redwood National area. Room was dark enough for this night shift worker and the breakfast was stocked of the usual choices. Quiet enough area with conveniences close by.
- Phillury (10/5): - Great hotel. Room was large, comfortable. Attractive grounds. Easy parking. Large breakfast set-up. Convenient to the Redwoods Nat Forest as well as Humboldt. Would stay there again!
- Roman (10/5): - Shout out to Ash at the front desk for providing some of the most genuine and best customer service I have ever experienced anywhere, honestly made our stay that much better! :) The rooms are extremely clean, have soft towels, and super comfy beds! Definitely will be staying here again next time I’m in the area.
- Kimberly (8/5): -
- Kennidy (10/5): -
- Debra (2/5): - Our room smelled moldy and there were bugs living in the sink, had to leave a day early cause I couldnt stay here
- Duncan (9/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - Great
- Christina (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Traci (6/5): Not worth the price! - Stayed 2 nights to drop my child at college. Feel the nightly rate was price gouged! Too expensive for an old hotel. Room was clean but door lock was broken and they did not have another room. Maintenance did come and fix it the next day.
Surprisingly the breakfast included was quite good and had many selections.
They never emailed me my receipt as asked upon checking out.
- Julie Anne (10/5): - family oriented
- Alan (10/5): - Always good service with areasonably decent breakfast. Perfect for our needs. Tesla ev chargers across the street works with adapter.
- Duy Thien (10/5): - Had an amazing breakfast
- Chris (10/5): - Clean room. Very good breakfast.
- Nancy (8/5): - Nice size room Price a bit high for a queen room
- Marisa (10/5): - Amazing breakfast! Customer service impeccable
- Steve (10/5): - Cookies, cookies, cookies
- Jennifer (10/5): - Nice pool, large grassy area, decent parking, very nice breakfast - large breakfast area.
- Jonathan (6/5): - A fine stay, but no mention of the renovation, nor that the pool and spa would be closed during our stay – a detail we likely would have used to make other lodging plans.
- mariana (8/5): -
- Jim (8/5): - Comfortable. Easy access.
- Kelly (8/5): - It was easy, clean, convenient. Nothing fancy. Staying for a couple day trips into redwoods. About 30ish min drive away. Free breakfast was nice. Cute little coffee place across the street
- Fiorella (10/5): Redwoods big trees trip - The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with our room, beds were comfortable and the TV was big with Netflix and YouTube which is a definite plus for us. The premises were very quiet and convenient to coffee shops and grocery stores. We visited the bird sanctuary which was very close by our hotel. We will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Arcata.
- Jeanette (8/5): - Was a good stop.
- Amanda (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Hot breakfast options were ok, lots of options. Pool was really nice and comfortable (as a parent watching younger kids - the indoor outdoor pool room wasn't hot and stuffy as they usually are). The kids enjoyed it. Close to grocery store and some restaurants. Location is pretty quick to Sue Meg State Park and redwood hikes! Cookies in the evening at the front desk.
- Juan L (10/5): - Great location if you are going to Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, CA. There is a grocery store near by and food options. The staff was friendly and the complementary breakfast was good.
- Garrett (8/5): - Older facility that is well maintained and clean. Staff is friendly and competent. Area is older with several other hotels and an older shopping center. A number of homeless people around the shopping center and area near the hotels.
