• Jonathan (4/5): Way overpriced for what you get. - It was cleaner than i thought it would be. Floors and walls are very thin. You can hear everything so don't come if you want peace and quiet. I had th room for two nights but only stayed one.

Though this is an older hotel, you can tell that the owners care about their property, and have made it a nice place to stay for a budget-conscious traveler. It was also within walking distance of a great beer-bar and other restaurants.
• Josh (1/5): Horrible. Horrible people who don't care about their customers. - The location is good. But they're the only motel in Philomath so there's not much to compare to. They were infested with insects. The had small ants in every room, cluster flies, fruit flies, and roaches.
• Julia (8/5): Clean, comfortable, basic accommodations - The location in a small town just outside of Corvallis was ideal. It was quiet, even on the day of a football game at OSU. Room was comfortable and the bed was excellent. All was in working order. The staff at check-in was very friendly and took obvious pride in the flowers around the place. She had paid special attention to them over the summer and it showed. The room was basic but had all the essentials. I slept very well, which is unusual when I travel. For the price (the least expensive I saw listed), the value was very good.

• Kent (9/5): Great little place to stay, but... - The location was perfect for my trip. Clean, comfortable and there was a Human Bean coffee shop next door. Upon arrival, I was told my reservation had been cancelled. I had not cancelled it and B.com had already taken my payment. I had to pay for another stay and am still fighting to get me refund from B.com.

• Sam (6/5): - It was fairly clean, people were nice. My problem was the pictures in the are not a true reflection of the place. It smelled of cigarettes and cheap air freshener. The place is extremely old and on the funky side. I won't stay there again. I felt I had been miss lead on what I paid for.

• Gina (2/5): Don't stay at the Galaxie its so nasty. - This was the absolute worst motel I have ever been to! First I go to check in and I was instantly accused of trying to stay 2 nights for the price of one!! No Sir!! I booked and paid in advance in full. Owner kept hanging up on Hotels.com. Finaly I was able to reach Hotels.com and I spoke to Sidd a costumer service PROFESSIONAL wonderful genus. But he said to pay the owner 77 more $ and Sidd was able to send me a refund immediately. He straightened out the situation. Until check out.....I went to get my cash deposit and they said a drop of juice on the sheets means they have to WASH the sheets?! WHAT?! I was sick at the thought alone!! It was a dirty hotel that had a horrendous smell. It was a sickly stench and they were trying to mask the smell with too much cheap glade wall plug ins. If l didnt absolutely have to stay because of work I would never have checked in. I also have some weird red bumps that itch on my legs so does my hubby. Please don't waist your money and time on this motel from "hell".

• Sandra (8/5): Great for short term stays - The Galaxy offers a comfortable stay in a conveniently located motel. The couple who manage are friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help me with a booking issue which I really appreciated.
• Norm and Marlene (4/5): - Air conditioning No coffee pot in room, less than a 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Had to ask for both. TINY BATHROOM. No counter space. Front desk operator was not friendly at all. One tiny trash can. Pillow seemed as it was washed & put back in the pillowcase not completely dry.
• Superhooper (8/5): Place was good overall - No breakfast. It was very hot that day, the clerk took quite a while to let us into the A/C.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable stay - Close to town, convenient location, comfortable bed, very clean.
• Linda (10/5): - Good location, easy access. Very clean, nice linens, comfortable with small dining table and chairs. Very accommodating to our dog. Would stay here again..Would recommend Vinwood Taphouse for lunch, great outdoor seating and pet friendly. For breakfast don't miss the Dizzy Hen!

I check in with knew it was two travelers plus animal owner comes in four days into my five day. Stay comes back to try to tell me that I was not charged an animal wants to charge an extra $20 per day on the day of checkout, calling the hotel room at 8 o’clock in the morning to try to get extra money out of you Watched him also kick a lady out because her dog peed inside the room

• April (10/5): Clean Motel In Convenient Location - I wasn't certain about staying at the Galaxie Motel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rate was affordable. The location is perfect for Philomath & Corvallis events. The rooms were clean, nothing fancy, but perfect for the night. The bed was comfortable. There is a 2 burner stove, microwave & fridge for your convenience. They also have wifi. Check-in is not overly friendly, but you have to remember it is a motel.

This is not typically where I stay when I come to town, however, due to the high demand of lodging, Galaxie was our option. I was pleasantly surprised at the well kept grounds upon arrival and clean, updated room. Cleaning services were friendly and accommodating.

Microwave was underpowered. Room ran out of toilet paper. It was annoying to have a loud fan every time you turned on the bathroom light.
• Leroy (10/5): What a marvelous surprise. Boy was I wrong! - Did not look forward to this stay. I prepared for a local dumpy motel but I made the reservation. I have to apologize every way possible. The place was spotless, quiet, the staff was courteous the bed the best I’ve slept in for months. Will not hesitate to stay again if I am in the area. It was extremely affordable.No breakfast but who cares with all the comforts available.

• Charlie (2/5): Run away from this place - So many red flags, but I usually am pretty chill and can roll with most things. An empty parking lot, locked/dark lobby, “greeter” that really would prefer you weren’t there. I’m fine with those things. Getting keys out of the drop box for the room, really weird, but maybe that’s how they do it here. But the stench and filth in the room, with human and pet hair (please be pet hair) all over the floor and in between all the blankets(old and worn bare) and the sheets (stained) I had to draw the line. The “greeter” had locked the lobby up, turned off the lights and drove away so I dropped the keys and drove off. (I can’t blame the guy for not wanting to be there either). So far, I’ve been told—no refund. From the hotel and from hotels.com. I’ll let my card company fight it for me. Please, don’t try to stay here. 01/16/2025.
