Guest Reviews
- Mastre (7/5): -
- Gary W (6/5): Affordable short term stay - Basic short stay motel room economical rate with in walking distance to town center. 1950s feel with modern upgrades. Bathroom was very tight. No place for wifes cosmetics / electric curlers
- Rob1342 (10/5): - Friendly staff. Great location!
- Allison (9/5): Convenient, good price, stayed here several times - always clean - Convenient, good price, stayed here several times - always clean Nothing really - always an enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is a little dated but you can tell the owners are updating things as they get a chance.
- Shannon (8/5): overall, we were at a stopping point on our trip. accommodations were very reasonable. Cute set up. - Super cute little motel. Very clean and presentable. Breakfast would have been nice :)
- Carey (9/5): The location was exactly where we needed it to be. -
- Allison (9/5): -
- Lizeth (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): One night stay was clean and staff was friendly - Staff was really helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. The bathroom was to small.
- Emmit (6/5): -
- Allison (9/5): Conveniently located hotel - Price, location were great... basic no frills room- just as expected Everything was fine, looks like room itself was recently updated but bathroom was not. But overall it was a good place to stay
- Barry (8/5): -
- Kayla (10/5): - Location, Location, location
- Steven (9/5): NA - Old , historic motel that was well restored but still had that "route 66" vibe. NA
- Stacey (3/5): - Location Cramped and outdated
- Timothy (7/5): -
- james (10/5): Pleasant and will definitely go back again - Everything went smoothly and was very nice . Everything seemed clean Bathrooms are a little tight .. but hey who says using the toilet and brushing your teeth in the sink at the same time is a bad thing
- Daniel (1/5): Won’t be staying here again, the only good thing about it was location. - The only good thing about it was how close it was to town. Smell was terrible, room was very unclean and there was mold in the bathroom. The smell in the office was unbearable and the management was very rude and creepy.
- Deborah (7/5): It was clean and bed was comfortable That is all to tell - It was close to where we wanted to be. The cost for what was there
- Jamie (1/5): -
- Justin (10/5): -
- jones (5/5): A good place to sleep on travel no amenities not ever breakfast or coffee - They kept the office locked at all times you had to ring a bell to get someone to the door left key in room didn’t want to bother ringing bell
- Anna (9/5): - We loved that we were in close walking distance to everything downtown.
- Margaret (2/5): - Check in was in the evening, staff was unfriendly and only spoke to each other in another language giving an uncomfortable feeling. Only comments to me were to ask if I smoked and if we had pets. There were overwhelming cooking odors in office but not in good way. Room was very small and gross. Carpet was dirty looked 20 yrs old. Walls were 3 different colors.Light by bed was yellow and too dim to be able to read. The only other lighting was overhead fan but that would have disturbed my mate and it looked even older than carpets. Cost was 3 times higher for Saturday than weekend and wat overpriced. I am just thankful it was fall and cool enough not to run A/C because who knows if filters get changed and what would come out with the air. All I can say is never again.
- Dorothy (8/5): -
- Cynthia (1/5): - Nothing Rude!!!
- Douglas (10/5): Ellijay Stay - Clean place within walking distance to downtown Ellijay. Older but clean motel. I would stay here again.
- Randy (10/5): - It was a good value great location
- Rpender (8/5): Ellijay getaway - Clean comfortable room. Good value. No bugs. The owner was very nice. Walkable distance to the restaurants and shops in town. 3 min walk. Quiet. The inn is dated. The bathroom was very small.
- Florence (5/5): - The proximity to downtown and the restaurants and activities. It was not as close to the Agriculture facility for the school as I thougt it would be. It needs a little updating and refreshing. The bed was comfortable, but the AC unit wasn't working properly as the night cooled down so did the room temperature and I don't like cold but a comfortable 72 degrees. Upon leaving I would have preferred to see someone at the front desk to actually check out instead of calling and being told to leave my key in the room.
- Jeremy (10/5): Thumbs up! - Always clean and quiet at the Ellijay Inn.
- David (4/5): Great location, not so great room - The only thing great about this motel is the location. It is within walking distance of the square in Ellijay. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in a motel/hotel, and I have spent my career traveling. I will say the bed was very comfortable.
- Robert (10/5): Comfortable, clean and very affordable. - The location was ideal for our needs. The price was significantly better than at any other place we have stayed or looked at in the area. The room was small but clean. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Nothing to report.
- William (6/5): - Well located to County offices.
Noisey window air conditioner (but worked well).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect location - It's an older motel but the owners work hard to keep it clean. The proximity to all Ellijay has to offer is phenomenal. We will definitely stay here again.
- Sara (8/5): Overnight stay - We loved the location, the quietness, the staff was nice, and the room was clean and ac was cold. Some of the furniture is needing to be upgraded and the bathroom could use a spruce up, but other than that it is a good place for the price.
- Hayley (8/5): - Absolutely loved this place. Was able to get a room with 3 beds so nobody had to sleep in the floor. Will definitely stay here again.
- ricky (10/5): Retro Vacay stay. Newly updated, quiet - This stay was a late check in. We we're just looking for a place to crash. What we got was a newly renovated, clean motel. It was cool to wake up in a small mountain downtown area in a quaint room. You could simply walk a block and be in the middle of it all. Its cozy for a couple for a couple of days.
- Karla (1/5): -
- Jason (2/5): Keep Looking. - The service was absolutely terrible. Will never stay again. I suggest staying away.
- Thomas (6/5): - The not so secure door to the room was concerning.
- Paula (10/5): - This was quaint and clean. The staff was so friendly!
- Garrett (2/5): Very poor - The roof had a big crack, floor wasn't clean, bathroom toilet seat was nasty, the microwave wasn't clean, the ac unit was dirty, this place just wasn't clean and I didn't like it.
- Robert (5/5): Passable -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Dwayne (10/5): - Great place to stay. Friendly staff and clean facilities.
- Patricia (8/5): Comfortable place to stay well within walking distance of the small downtown. - Close to town. Plenty of on site parking. Very clean Ok this is really minor but the sheets were really starchy and uncomfortable.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (9/5): Great -
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (10/5): Nice stay in Ellijay - We had a wonderful stay! We could walk to everything in downtown Ellijay. The family that owns the place is so friendly and welcoming and that was very appreciated. I read some reviews of the property being outdated, so what! Look at the price you are paying. The room was super clean and the bed was comfy. I couldn’t ask for more! We will be back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good if you want to be walking distance from town - Good: Close to downtown, cost is less, Nice bed
Bad: Tiny rooms, very poor sound proofing, noisy AC, Worst in-room coffee Ever!
- Tuan (10/5): - Excellent rooms for the price. Our stay actually had 3 queen beds. For 3 adults and a teenager. Was in area for a wedding. Very convenient having only one room.
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Debra (8/5): Weekend in Ellijay - The property is not much to look at from the outside and has been in Ellijay for a long time, but the room was a pleasant surprise! The room itself was spacious, there was everything you needed, coffeemaker, fridge, microwave. The bathroom was quite small but that didn't bother me at all. It was walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in Ellijay as well. Don't overlook this place for a stay, I definitely recommend it! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- Pam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linsin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (8/5): Very good -
- William (2/5): Very poor - There was nothing about the place that I liked on top of the 92 dollars to stay they also charge a 100 dollar security deposit the rooms are extremely small and run down the staff is extremely rude and inconsiderate of anyone I would highly not recommend staying there There was nothing about the place that I liked on top of the 92 dollars to stay they also charge a 100 dollar security deposit the rooms are extremely small and run down the staff is extremely rude and inconsiderate of anyone I would highly not recommend staying there
- Heidi (4/5): - Quiet cheap property. Friendly owners but woke them up to check out. Not given instructions to leave keys in room. I read reviews that the beds were high. But I never in my wildest dreams thought you’d need a step stool to get in them! My older mother couldn’t get up there without someone holding a rolling chair for her to climb on. The carpets were old and wet. The bathroom was so small you had to be careful not to hit your head on the sink when sitting on the toilet. The toilet paper was so far behind you it was hard to reach. The toilet was leaking water on floor enough to leave puddles. It smelled like they spayed some serious air freshener in there. The beds were up on metal boxes. I’m assuming they had flooded before and they didn’t want to have to replace beds. It was quiet. But that is pretty much the only thing it had going for it. Probably because very few people stayed here. Only double beds if more than 2 people. Didn’t have appropriate number of towels. Pedestal sink, so no where to put bathroom items. No blankets on beds. Closet was tiny with mini fridge and microwave and little shelf in closet area.
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Bill (4/5): Staff nice, good location but the room was very small and not in good condition - It was tiny and not in great condition
- Lissa (1/5): Bad -
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- James (2/5): - Bad juju. Outdated and extremely small space.
- Shelia (9/5): Superb - Everything Nothing..was great
- Bobby (4/5): Disappointing -
- Deborah (10/5): Great - No breakfast Nothing
- Deborah (10/5): - I have stayed there before same owners that care about their establishment
- Jeremy (10/5): - Great place in downtown Ellijay. We stay there every few months to get away from Atlanta. There’s a ton of parking and it’s only a block from ships and restaurants.
- Simpson (7/5): Good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (6/5): Good location, overpriced old and needs renovation - Location is good. Over priced. The hotel is old and needs to be completely renovated.
- Melynda (8/5): Motel-type property, small but clean - Older property but well kept; small room, our closet was also a “kitchenette”; tiny bathroom. Saying that, the room was clean.
- Donna (7/5): Good -
- Leigh (8/5): Very good -
- Prior (3/5): Disappointed in the quality for the price and location. - Location Very outdated and too small for the price. The bathroom was almost unusable...when standing at the sink you're basically standing over the toilet. Electrical and plumbing exposed. Peeling wallpaper, and strange mechanical buzzing noise all night. We were hoping for a vintage, mountain inn experience. Cancelled our Thanksgiving reservations for family based on this preliminary visit.
- Larry (8/5): - Very small room but excellent use of space, including fridge and microwave. Light on curb appeal but room was clean, very quiet and the bed was scrumptiously comfy.
- Emiko (8/5): - Only interaction was with staff at check-in and he was polite and efficient. Was a little worried when we were the only car in the lot, but the room was clean, everything worked (a/c is a little noisy but didn't bother us) although the shower only needed hot water handle and had not as much pressure as I would have liked. It is an older property but for the price and convenience of walking to everything it was perfect!
- John (4/5): - The Ellijay Inn could benefit from a renovation and updating.
- Darlene (10/5): This property is in a great location and easily accessible. -
- Greg (7/5): Good -
- Haylee (10/5): Perfect location; small room but had everything we needed for a family of four - Perfect location (especially to the apple orchards), comfortable beds, great water pressure. I was pleasantly surprised with the room after reading all the reviews. Yes, the room and double beds are small but it was comfortable enough for my family of four. The double bed slept me, my husband and toddler just fine! Lady at front desk was very nice and had a nice conversation with me and my daughter at check in. Rooms are super quiet, I couldn’t hear my car beep when I locked it from inside the room (I was parked right outside my door and my lock alarm is LOUD). If we’re ever back in the area, we will be staying again! :) Nothing!
- Gmyrek (7/5): Good - Small bathroom
- Lori (8/5): superb location, older but clean inn - LOCATION...within a minute or two walk of downtown. The room was clean, and the people were friendly. It's an older inn that needs renovations but was worth the stay. The restroom was fairly small.
- Robert (8/5): We were happy with our stay. We would stay there again. - Location was easy walking distance to downtown. The Inn was clean and the staff were helpful. The place looked old but everything worked.
- Paul (10/5): Staff was great. The place is older however very well maintained and clean. - Location is perfect for walking downtown to shops and food.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allen (8/5): - Small rooms, but had everything we needed.
- Dwayne (10/5): - This is a great place to stay. The room was just right for one person. Very clean and comfortable. I left my wedding ring on the bathroom counter and drove to Atlanta before I realized I had left it. I called the motel and they had already gotten it for me. I drove back up and got it that day. Very nice people. I will stay there again.
- Bill (7/5): Good - The AC worked GREAT, when turned on.. They turn the ac completely off , between customers. The room was almost 90 degrees when I arrived.
- Briana (8/5): Simple stay - Simple little place in walking distance to everything.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raeda (10/5): Good overnight stay - Great overnight stay super close to downtown. Not super fancy, which is fine. The staff were nice, but we couldn’t find them to check out.
- Ramiro (6/5): - You barely fit in the bathroom you sit on the toilet and literally have no space to move.
- Jeremy (2/5): - These people charged my debit card twice for the room and played it off as it was only once. Despite proof paid!
- John (10/5): Good value - Very clean and economical.
- JENNIFER (8/5): - Although the room was small, it was clean and had a comfortable bed. The property is around the corner from the small-town square with cute antique shops and some restaurants.
