There is designated parking off site (about a 10-15 minute walk). Staff were very friendly and helpful - overall an excellent experience!

For the rest of us who value even a hint of peace and quiet on vacation, it’s more like paying luxury rates for front-row seats at a late-night block party you didn’t RSVP to. The bed itself? Surprisingly solid—let’s just say it’s well-suited for “romantic activities.” Sleeping, on the other hand, was more of a challenge unless you happen to enjoy pulsing basslines as your lullaby. Charming location, nice staff, but unless management decides that guests might occasionally want rest as well as nightlife, I’d recommend bringing earplugs… or maybe just your best dance shoes.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when we had a minor issue with the AC in our Cottage. They were quick to assist us and rectify the situation, ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The location of the property is perfect - just a short distance from downtown Nantucket with plenty of restaurants, bars, and stunning views near the Basin. I loved being able to easily explore the area and enjoy all that Nantucket has to offer. I highly recommend staying at The Cottages and Lofts at Boat Basin for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

The 2 bedroom cottage we got was beautiful…comfortable… and spacious.. our only issue was the bathrooms..and the noise level…. there was no place to place our toiletries…: it was a nuisance going back and forth into the bedroom to get toothbrush, makeup etc… the folks staying above us .. we could hear EVERYTHING they were doing…. EVERYTHING…. Walls were not sound proof. O

- Erin (4/5): - The level of disrepair this property is in is not only very disturbing and disappointing, but also extremely dangerous. The most concerning issue was the water POURING into the closet in the bedroom from the ceiling, anytime the air conditioning was on. It was leaking a significant amount of water immediately next to the electric breaker panel, a clear fire risk. I called twice to express concern. The first time they sent a maintenance man, that basically did nothing. The second time a kind manager (Shawn) called other hotels to see if they could accommodate our dogs and they could not. The other issue with Sea Siren Cottage, besides the fact is NOT on a wharf or the boat basin at all, is the volume of noise from The Gazebo Bar. It sounded like a rave until all hours of the morning and we essentially were unable to sleep. Furthermore, the Sea Siren Cottage was lipstick on a pig and falling apart. The couch was faded and looked dirty, the door to the deck had been kicked and was rotting, the windows were cracked, there were wires sticking out on the deck and at least an inch of moss growing, showing it had not been cleaned at all this season. The floors were very scratched, the door frame was held together by hot glue from a glue gun, and there was no deadbolt on the bedroom door that went to stairs to the ground. The bathroom vanity was rotting where it met the floor and the radiator cover was hanging off of the radiator.

The 2 bedroom cottage was clean and far more spacious than we anticipated. It was centrally located and close to the many shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. We cannot wait to go back next summer.
- Shari (10/5): Dog friendly and doggone good - It was near perfection. We booked a dog friendly cottage. We got: a dog bed and 2 dog bowls (on loan), a fabulous location by the marina, a 3-room cozy cottage with a full kitchen, a keurig coffee maker with coffee and half and half provided and it felt all new and tidy. We had access to bicycles as available (they were). The town was less than a 2 minute stroll away. The dog didn’t get his anticipated doggie turn down service on his 2nd night, but he did get a goodie bag filled with toys, a fold up water bowl and poo bags. There were 2 rocking chairs and a table on our patio where we could have sundowners. It was quiet, clean and restful. Bliss!

Only complaint is that the four of us had to share the one bathroom (two adult aged children). Also, we thought we would be right on the dock facing the water and we were not so make sure to ask before booking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nantucket 2020 - From the moment we stepped off of the ferry and were met by the very friendly Paul from The Cottages, who took our bags and whisked them to our room, the staff of this fabulous establishment took the very best care of us. In this time of a global pandemic we were nervous to travel but we felt safe and secure in all of the measures taken to protect our health. Our cottage was tiny but immaculate and we had a very comfortable stay! We loved having the spacious living area in which we could relax together versus being trapped in separate hotel rooms. We cannot wait to go back!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed. - I was choosing between White Elephant hotel and these Cottages. We ultimately chose the Cottages because we thought it would be an unique experience. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The pkacecwas not well maintained with cracks and stains everywhere. The light switches don’t work, and the worst part was one of the window was completely broken. So there was a huge whole opening, allowing the cold draft and loud dock banging sounds at 5am. The cost to stay there was about the same as White Elephant. We regret making the wrong choice. When we complained upon check out, the woman at the counter seemed indifferent about the whole situation. I guess they just don’t care enough.

Registration was in a location far from room. Amenities are limited. But location and Nantucket generally is great, albeit expensive. This was ok for my one night solo stay.

We couldn’t check in because we got there early. But check in was supposed to be at 3. They were going to call when room was ready. Never received a call. Finally got to room at 530. The air conditioning wasn’t working but we were in a rush to get out for our dinner reservation. We got back late and ac wasn’t working. The next morning we asked for late check out since we couldn’t get in until so late but we were denied that.
