Guest Reviews
- Sarah (7/5): I lined the space but did not like the uncertainty of being able to get into my room or having to wait for parking passe - The apartment was nice and clean and the every concierge was friendly and welcoming. The staff in the leasing office went above and beyond to help. I did not receive my parking passes even though I called twice before arriving and sent in the required forms. I also only received one key although I was assured I would have 2. Also my key fobs stopped opening the door twice, luckily the leasing agents were still there to reactivate them. This seems to be a recurring problem and one that should be so simple and easy to accommodate but also one that is vital to a guest’s comfort and safety.
- Chris (8/5): -
- Kari (7/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Great apartment - The apartment was really nice Needed towels for 5 people. Only had 1 packet of dishwasher detergent. With a family of 5 and actually cooking,we needed to run dishes nightly. I would also have liked to have cleaning wipes available. It would also have been nice to have parking pass in advance. It wasn't offered at time of booking.
- Khaled (3/5): - Property facilities Paid for the parking and never received the parking access control. I called them many times and they promised to provide them but did not happen.
Fire alarm went off and it was noisy and i called the call center and they promised to solve the problem but nobody came and it kept ringing for a week!!!
Not clean apartment. Missing many utensils in the kitchen in which i bought many. I left the apartment at 7 am at check out day and kept the keys as per the instructions then i received an email that i did not leave the apartment and will be charged!!!!
- Waranya (10/5): - The room is clean and safe.
Easy to check in and check out
Perfectly kitchen and get lot equipment
- Dennis (10/5): - Comfort, Convenience and affordability.
- Harald (7/5): Great location and space; needs some upkeep and better check - Within short walking distance from the Woodmony Triangle - the best part of Bethesda A few items are broken and a real hazard for little children. My biggest issue with this is that it has been reported by other guests and the management has clearly done nothing about it.
- Kendrick (10/5): It was a great stay. Interested in staying monthly. - Everything. Would love a special monthly rate. Towels. Didn’t have enough towels at times.
- Afi (7/5): -
- Robin (6/5): - Good location Only on key provided for multiple guests, when requested a second which is customary- was told I had to pay 250 for it! Clearly someone had lost one and they tried to have me pay for it. After multiple calls and emails, I was finally provided a second.
- Sureda (8/5): - Excellent location, very clean and comfortable apartment. The small glass dinning table for 4, had a broken leg. I notified in writing but was never fixed, they apparently came to inspect it, but assumed the coffee table was the one broken, which was not, and the inspector reported that there was nothing wrong with the coffee table!
Also in the envelope with the keys, the parking sticker was missing, they didn't provide the parking sticker until 3 days after we checked in.
This is the second time we stay in an apartment in North Bethesda ftom Global Luxury Suites and one time in the one in Crystal City. Always had a good experience.
Nevertheless we will stay there again.
- Anna (8/5): -
- John (10/5): - Building and rooms are spacious and comfortable
- Tomáš (9/5): -
- Demetria (8/5): - Location and space The internet and the TV remote
- Shawna (5/5): - The actual complex was great and in a great location. Do not be tricked....this is owned by a large company and NOT part of the actual apartment complex. Global Luxury customer service is rude and if you "extend" verify if it is through booking or their company. They also will not answer the phones on the weekend to include the emergency number.
- Parente (8/5): Cosy and family friendly - Location was great and the staff were very friendly Apart from the flooring in the kitchen everything was good
- Afi (6/5): -
- Maureen (3/5): Do NOT Trust Global Luxury Suites!!!!!! - Pool, Full Apartment, Gym Dirty floors, carpet, dishes. VERY Poor customer support by Global Luxury Suites!!! Plumbing issues. No hangers. Told me coffee maker took pods—didn’t say NOT Keurig!! 1 bar of soap for 2 sinks & shower. Etc, etc, etc….
- Heidi (8/5): -
- Aroldo Felipe (1/5): Terrible - Boa tarde,

- Andrea (10/5): - I am so glad that we stayed her before my friends wedding. Plenty of space to move around.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Alfredo (7/5): Good -
- Jamie (8/5): Very good -
- Saud (4/5): Disappointing -
- Somtochukwu (7/5): Good - I love the comfort it provided. The apartment wasn't clean when we got there. The bed needs to be upgraded. It makes too much noise, and it's going to break soon.
- Maria (1/5): Bad experience. - Location and space allocation I booked for 3 people but the apartment was set only for 2. Blankets, towels and placemats for the third person were missing. Furthermore the 5 chairs available were extremely damaged. And have been never changed despite asked. The customer emergency numbers have answering machines and they don’t get back to you. You need to wait for working office time to be able to talk to them. I had to have booking.com intervene in order at least to have towels and blanket for the third person starting from the third day of stay.
- Hamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberly (10/5): - We were in town to support a family member having surgery at Walter Reed. Price per night with a kitchen is beyond reasonable considering the money saved being able to cook your own meals. Only downfall of our unit was the sofa, it was extremely uncomfortable.
- John (8/5): Very good - Small delay obtaining the parking pass we requested but otherwise love booking here during business trips. Beats staying at a hotel anytime.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Room was very nice and the view was too. Didn't know had to bring garbage bags
- Yidan (4/5): Worst experience ever. Don’t waste your money. - The location is good. It’s within walking distance to groceries stores, restaurants and public transportation. The neighborhood looks save. There’s a police station right across the street. The rooms are clean. Water pressure is good. There’s a full kitchen for cooking. Traveled for years, been to hundreds of different types of accommodations. It’s the first time I feel so frustrated that I want to say something.
We can’t find the location on Google maps. They haven’t updated their information for years. That says a lot about their management. The correct location as for now is 4850 Rugby Ave in Bethesda. Personally I wouldn’t book this place again and here’s why.
1. It’s NOT NOT NOT a hotel. It’s a commercial Airbnb accommodation. Somebody bought several units and rent them out. It’s advertised as a hotel on Booking.com for $ 149/day. But the actual charge was 263.98 because they charge EXTRA $100 for cleaning. You won’t see that until you pay. It is false advertisement, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
2. We have trouble finding the location. It costs us at least half an hour of extra walking back and forth in order to find the exact location. The suites are located in an apartment building, where there are long-term residents. We follow the instructions to the address, however, the front desk doesn’t even know there’s something called “Global Luxury Suites” in their building. I have never run into this kind of situation even in developing countries - We are at the right address but was told we’re not in a hotel.
3. It’s absolutely NOT NOT NOT a 4-star hotel standard. I’ve never been to a 4-star hotel suite where several outlets not working; doesn’t have a stopper for the bathtub; doesn’t have a bed end for a king-size bed, doesn’t have an extra blanket for the pull-out sofa bed, and doesn’t have a garbage bag in the kitchen. What we have in the living room is a wobbly coffee table with the glass top unattached to the frame. It could be dangerous for young children. The pipes in the laundry room make loud buzzing noise from time to time, which is really annoying when anyone tries to get some sleep. The outside vent for the drier is all blocked, so the clothes won’t get dried properly.
4. The management is a mess.
- Yidan (4/5): Never coming back. Waist of my time and money. - The highlight of this business is the location. It’s within the walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants and public transportation. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. There’s a police right across the street. The rooms are clean. There’s a full kitchen for cooking. Please read my last review for 1. 2. 3.
4. The management is a mess. The management of the building has nothing to do with the management of the Suites; and Building is not responsible for any problems we run into. I didn’t observe any coordination between these two except for the cleaning part. For any little problem we have to call the “hotel management,” where 8 out 10 times it went straight to a voicemail. When somebody finally call back we have trouble understanding what they say due to the strong accent.
5. The check-out is a nightmare. One can not go anywhere without the room key, which the Suites management requests the customers to leave inside of the room when they leave. Without the room key we can’t even use the elevator since it’s resident apartment building. Customers have to call somebody to lead them downstairs, and if nobody answers the phone immediately the customers would get stuck in the building for God knows how long.
With the price we paid for the room, we could have got a decent room from any good hotel chains such as Marriott or Hilton. If you want to pay more for more hassles, and are ready for prolonged reading on the instructions, that’s your choice. But personally I would not recommend “Global Luxury Suites” to anyone.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oumou (8/5): Good - Modern Nice
- Rhema (6/5): Not bad. - The location and the staff. The description of the property with a pool whereby there was none.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Konstantinos (1/5): Bad -
- Oleksandr (4/5): It’s okay if you need some in the area. But I would think twice if needed to rent it again. - Good neighborhood, garage, fairly sized Dirty set of knives, frying pan, pots. Mold in the washing machine. Heavy scents in the building overall (not to say pleasant) and in the apartment itself at the time we moved in after previous guests.
- Je-taun (7/5): Ok - Location and ease of booking I didn’t know how to get to the garage
- Rashid (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saud (10/5): Great place to stay - Everything None
- Robin (8/5): Very good - Great location and easy access. Also have parking for a small fee which was very helpful. The matress needs to be replaced.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saud (10/5): Great place run by people with limited customer service. - Location I did another reservation to back again but refused to keep 3 bags in the store until back 😢
- Trieste (8/5): - It was solid
- Amy (9/5): Superb - The key fob didn't work until almost the end of our stay.
- Vanessa (3/5): Decent theoretically but not well managed and in need of significant improvements - Well located Not cleaned well. Trash from previous guests still in kitchen garbage can, dried up rice all over floor. Shower had low water pressure and not hot water. They provided one serving of coffee — and we were four guests. All this and we were paying nearly $600 for the night.
- Ryan (6/5): Pleasant - Space of apartment The fact you have to clean and wash lenses and towels and throw everything out yourself. You have to leave the place as you found it and they expect you to make bed and clean everything. You might as well stay at a hotel
- Erika (1/5): Bad - There was plenty of space and the staff was helpful. There was black mold in our unit. It was not easy to find because the building name is not the same as the hotel name.
- Hrafnkell (9/5): Superb - Apartment has a lot of space and is well equipped. Staff at front desk very nice people but lack authoroty to solve problems. Getting a parking space is too complex and requires one to send a copy of creditcard to host. This business practice is obsolete and undermines trust.
- Melissa (5/5): Great location. Thin walls- can hear everything from next suite 507? - Great location Noise from next door was so loud and no one did anything about it
- Shenny (9/5): Superb -
- Kelsey (9/5): Nice clean apartment in a great part of town. If they update the beds I would stay again. - The location is great, close/walking distance to restaurants and stores. The apartment was clean and spacious and the building felt very safe. My one real issue was how uncomfortable the bed was. It sagged significantly in the middle so my partner and I kept rolling into the center and it squeaked loudly any time we so much as readjusted a pillow. We ended up sleeping 3 of our 4 nights on the also uncomfortable but slightly quieter pull out sofa in the apartment’s living room. Otherwise the place was great, but unfortunately the bed issue was a big one.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raof (7/5): Good - Apartment was clean Apartments was not ready at 4:00 PM, also, coffees jar was broken, we couldn’t use it
- Ferny (8/5): Very good - Great place clean Nd staff was amazing Nd very helpful
- Al (10/5): Exceptional -
- Al (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chizoba (4/5): The apartment was next to the HVAC unit and it was really loud. There was also some neighbors who were super loud. This - The property was the right size as required. The apartment was next to the building HVAC and it was extremely loud.
- Susan (10/5): - The concierge Andrew was wonderful. It was house hunting trip and we ended up putting in rental app for Gallery I Bethesda. Thx!
- Mathias (6/5): Great location and building amenities, but apartment doesn't reach the same standard. - Everything concerning the property and its location was excellent. Friendly and helpful concierge. Wonderful roof garden with great vistas, barbecue grill, etc. Another plus is the close distance to amenities, restaurants, shopping, transport into town. The rental agency – responsible for managing the rented apartment – and the management of the overall property – responsible for the building, concierge service, roof garden, etc. – are distinct companies. While the building was well managed (see above), we took some issue relating to the rented apartment, given the expense of the rental: The expendable sofa bed for the third guest was of bad quality and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. Generally, the furniture was poorly assembled.
- Ella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antione (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tamara (6/5): - I love staying at these properties but they are beginning to fall apart. Things need to be fixed like binds, shower heads, linens that fit properly.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (7/5): Good - The security of the building is wonderful! You need a key to move about the building including leisure areas. The concierge on duty were friendly, professional and accommodating, always going above and beyond to help in any way. This is actually what saved my stay. Kudos to Andrew and Bonita for everything! The lack of communication and professionalism stood out with the customer service department at Global Luxury Suites. Being my first time leasing with Global I neglected to pay for parking upon reservation. When I arrived on property and called to add parking, I was told I had to wait for management to determine IF I could add parking in the garage provided for residents and THEN I would be sent a credit card authorization form. I waited. An hour later I received the email.....no return phone call as expected. I completed the form. I was told I wouldn't be able to start parking till 2/22, and that it would take up to 24 hours later to process my request. My request only required someone to bring a garage fob on property. It was dropped off at 5pm the following day. Unfortunately this wasn't my only experience. We lost our key fob to the building as well. Even though I called emergency maintenance and paid the $150 fee for a replacement key immediately, I was told by customer service this wasn't an emergency and after 3-4 calls and speaking to various agents at Global I finally received a replacement key18 hours later! There was no urgency on the behalf of Global even though I am disabled and was virtually held prisoner within my apartment all those hours. I didn't get to enjoy any of the building's amenities that I paid for and were the reason I chose this building in particular. I believe I deserve a partial refund due to lack of assessibilty. Also, this was a violation of the ADA. I could not move about the building like everyone else. I also had to continually feed the meter on the car while waiting for a garage fob. Ultimately, I received a $60 ticket for not moving my vehicle! This trip caused me more money than I anticipated and more money than necessary.
- Kenny (10/5): Wife was getting surgery near by was a good place for me to relax while waiting for her to get out of surgery . Very roo - Very clean and welcoming N/a
- Fridrika (9/5): Perfect for a stay in Bethesda -
- Georges (10/5): Exceptional - Location, amenities, staff
- Emi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Raof (5/5): Disappointed - This time smaller unit provided (small bedroom very hard to maneuver). Uncomfortable/Noisy Beds. Uncomfortable Noisy Beds
- Connie (6/5): This is not an aparthotel. Services are by 1-880- phone. We didn’t know There is no signage outside building and we walk - Well appointed, clean and walkability There are no blackout shades in the bedrooms.
Mattress good, pillows good linens good but restless sleep for light sleepers bcs of light. No noise though
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Apartment is fantastic. I want to live there ha No complaints
- Lyudmila (10/5): A wonderful stay, hope to be back next time I'm in town. - I've stayed in different locations in town before, and this one was my favorite. The location was great - convenient to the NIH and not too far from the metro, close to restaurants. The concierges were extremely friendly. They have free coffee/hot chocolate in the lobby from 6 am to 6 pm (make sure to bring your own cup) and a rooftop deck with amazing views. It's an apartment building where people live, so not overcrowded like a hotel. The apartment was super clean and had everything I needed (ironing, hair dryer, washer/dryer). And over the top touches that I totally didn't expect - the table was already set and all the little things (paper towels, tea/coffee, soap) were packaged in a sort of gift basket with a bow on top. A wonderful stay all around. I kept trying to find something that I could criticize, but couldn't.
- Gail (9/5): September in Bethesda - Friendly professional concierge staff who make all guests fill at home. Great location. Great wifi. Comfortable bed. Communication with management was challenging. I had scheduled minor repairs, but the repairmen did not arrive when scheduled. Instead they arrived unannounced several days later. Also, management was slow to notify me that I could not renew my lease.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic accomodations - homey feel compared to a hotel room. Plenty of amenities
- Joseba (8/5): Very good -
- Abiodun (1/5): Horrible property management. They charged my card over $3000 without my authorization and I didn’t even stay a single n - They are a scam. They charged my card without my authorization They are a scam. They charged my card without my authorization and when I called they dismissed me
- Madeline (5/5): it was ok. would prefer it if there was somebody to receive me at property - there was no breakfast. The receptionist was not there to give me my keys when i came, i had to bang on the door and call out for about 10 mins before she got there telling me she was actually on break.
- Meghan (5/5): Passable -
- Jose (10/5): - Good
- Najy (8/5): Very good -
- Sheeba (9/5): Great experience - Good facilities and great location. Property is well maintained too.
- Madeline (6/5): it was pleasant but i dont like the idea of scanning my card being required. - i did not have any breakfast. the reservation service
- Tariq (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tim (7/5): Good - location bed is too soft to sleep
- Jessica (1/5): Horrible customer service and hidden charges. 2 night stay ended up being $280 more. - Location Horrible customer service, multiple paperwork and credit card requests after paying in full at booking. Hidden charges and costs. Charged for parking that was never provided.
- Tanya (1/5): Horrendous cleanliness, state of room, and customer service. Avoid. - “Non-smoking” room smelled of smoke, leftover cigarettes in bathroom, not enough dishes, broken curtains, broken lock on balcony door, broken glass on balcony. Some of these issues were addressed on day 3 of our stay but cigarettes never cleaned and curtains never fixed. Despite reporting this right away by email and phone (concierge at desk serves only condos not hotel guests), and have attempted to get compensation via Sean, Jared and Bushra to no avail. It took 3 days after checkout to get an invoice, despite asking right away.
- Virginia (9/5): Superb -
- Yuliya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Felicity (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Great location.
- Suzanne (8/5): Very nice apartment in a very nice area, but very poor communication with Global Suites. - Location, facilities in the apartment, quiet, friendly concierge at reception, clean. The photos were a good representation of the apartment and most facilities. The views from the pool/sitting area on the roof are beautiful. The communication between the concierge and Global Suites was non-existent. This made check-in and questions re a specific apartment very complicated. It was not difficult to reach Global Suites staff by phone, but everything was a big issue to resolve, e.g. broken sofa bed which they tried to replace but days late, so we asked them to wait until we had left as we didn't want the upheaval of furniture removal during our stay. They still turned up anyway despite the fact that this had been discussed and agreed. There was no quilt for the sofa bed at all, so there was 1 double quilt for 3 adults? The quilt was eventually left at reception 5 to 6 days after check-in. We were informed of this by email, which we didn't notice for a day or 2. We expected a phone call. There were numerous emails back and forth during and before our stay from Global Suites and Booking.com that were uncoordinated and led to confusion. Overall the communication was very confusing and unnecessarily complicated. The staff at Global Suites were friendly and helpful, but there are so many departments, it meant that you were talking to multiple people re sales, parking, furniture...etc., rather than one member of staff. It would be much better to have one dedicated member of staff to deal with all queries relating to a particular customer/booking. The process would then be more streamlined.
There was no parking fob waiting for us at the apartment, which further delayed our check-in. The concierge was unable to help with this as it was a Global Suites issue. Numerous phone calls had to be made to resolve this.
The photos of the exterior of the building were misleading. There is no restaurant on the ground floor of the building - this is empty.
The pool on the rooftop is very small and the water looked very uninviting. Hence, we did not use the pool.
- Peter (10/5): Very comfortable and convenient for (self catering) short or longer stay 10 min walk from downtown Bethesda. - spacious and new appartement with all facilities. Very clean. The apartments are ‘remote managed’. there is a doormen in the building but he seems to be more bothered by the company renting out the apartments and their guests than that he appreciates and welcomes the guests. Communication with managers is via app/email. they do respond but there is a wait time, e.g. for an extra key or supplies till the next day.
