Es un hotel pequeño por ende su atención es personalizada, se siente el calor humano y el amor en todo lo que hacen. Very quiet but really close to everything, our room was very clean, the bathrooms were modern while the rest of the property exuded Colonial Mexican charm. Pátzcuaro is a Pueblo Mágico city and we wanted to experience the true culture of this beautiful country.

Nicely appointed room with a working fireplace! Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking in a secure lot directly across from the hotel. Only a one minute (no exaggeration) walk to the main plaza which is surrounded by numerous restaurant choices. No negatives.

La habitación asignada no es la de la fotografía. NINGUN servicio adicional para ser un hotel de este precio. La habitación muy bonita pero por ese precio hay otras opciones mejores. NO hay estacionamiento, fuimos a una boda y al regreso tuvimos que tocar la puerta para que nos dejaran entrar. No hay servicio de cocina, o no nos dijeron nada, realmente no se siente como un hotel de lujo ... Tampoco funcionaba el wifi ni la televisión. SI TIENEN OPORTUNIDAD SOLO VAYAN A VERLO PERO HAY OPCIONES CON MEJOR PRECIO.

It’s situated in a perfect location (within walking distance to the plazas, shops, restaurants and Santuario) the hotel is beautiful and rooms are pretty quiet as the hotel is situated in a bz street. The beds are comfortable and so are the pillows. I definitely recommend this hotel!

• Irma (10/5): - The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and terraces are beautifully decorated. I liked that the room has a small heather because it got chilly sometimes. We stayed in room 7 which is very quiet except on school days!! There is an elementary school right behind it and the noise starts sometime around 7:00am. Some toiletries and coffee and tea were not replaced every day and we would have to ask for them. The fridge didn’t work. I would go back to this hotel

• Araceli (10/5): Me enamoro el hotel - Pasamos solo una noche. Pero llegamos por la tarde y la atención es muy buena, las instalaciones, el personal con el que nos tocó interactuar fue bueno. Solo sugiero que si deberían poner como dato importante que él estacionamiento esta unos metros atrás, así se puede llegar directo al mismo y ya de ahí al hotel y esto evitaría una vuelta. Tiene una excelente ubicación. No tuvimos oportunidad de probar alimentos pero sin duda creo que debe estar muy rico, porque el café es bueno!

• Brenda (10/5): Great stay - We were looking for a comfortable room near the plaza and we found exactly that plus more. The hotel and room had a charm to it. I believe his name was Guillermo that helped us at check in and was very attentive and genuinely helpful.

• Cesare (8/5): - The main reason to stay here is Don Gabriel, the general manager who has all the experience and ‘don de gente’ to make guests feel appreciated and well taken care of. It was not clear when I booked that parking was not on the premises. Fortunately it was just across the street; however dropping off the luggage before check in time was stressful. It is a one way street, with no place to park. Even though I communicated well in advance with the receptionist through whatsapp by the appointed time she was out of range. For this to hotel to earn five stars, it needs a bit more: a). facial towels and floormats (the bathroom has undergone a major remodeling and it is quite modern, lighting a plus). b). The rest of the furnishings is a mishmash of odds and ends that bring the visuals down to a thud. c). The overhead lights have seen better days, and two extra heavy and clunky wrought iron chairs with a round table with a stone top, add a lot of clutter and serve no function. d). How about safe deposit boxes inside the rooms? Or at least a main one at reception where one can leave valuables. That being said the bed was plush, comfortable and I slept like a baby. No need to turn the heater on. The breakfast for The Day of the Dead was a homerun with the most beautiful and delicious Pan de Muertos que ví en todo este viaje. They were shaped like dolls. Y las corundas, excepcionales.. Just a block away from the main plaza, it is surprisingly quiet.

• Artemiza (8/5): Very good - Location was great, just about 40meters from the main plaza. The room spacious and decoration is simple and according to the building. The bathroom is modern. Black out atmosphere in the room helps to have a deep sleep. The bathroom has no moisture exhaust nor ventilation, so, after taking a shower, the room gets humid. WIFI is offered but it does not work at all. We were trying to connect during 4 days with no success in the room and outside the room (at reception). The restaurant of the hotel was not working during our stay.

• Kenneth (10/5): - I gave the category "Condiciones e instalaciones de la propiedad" only three starts because it wasn't possible to stay in the suite that we reserved online. The TV (which we didn't care about) didn't work and the hot water (which we did care about) was offline. We were therefore placed in a very lovely but slightly inferior room. Despite this slight disappointment, we really can't recommend the hotel highly enough. The attention we received was some of the best, most attentive service we've ever encountered. Gabriel, who looked after us, was hospitable, warm, funny and very kind. He even checked in with the hotel during his free day to make sure that we were being taken care of. He elevated what would have been a very nice stay to one that will live in our hearts for a very long time. THANK YOU.

Historic home which has been visited by everyone from The Queen to Jackie Kennedy. We had a huge jacuzzi as well as large shower in our room. Restaurant only served breakfast.. No pool drinks or snack. Had to cross road for sister restaurant the Lodge. But beautiful setting also.

• LUCY (10/5): - Lovely hotel right at the main plaza in this beautiful town full of culture and history. The property is colorful and very clean. The room was accommodating and very comfortable. Definitely one of my best stays in Mexico. I want to specifically thank Gabriel at the reception desk for helping me with much needed transportation and being so courteous. It is very much appreciated to encounter such professional and kind hearted people. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.

• pork (8/5): 2 seniors travelling by car, quiet hotel - This is a beautiful colonial hotel close to the main square but away from the noise. Rooms are lovely with lovely furniture and accessories. Bathroom modern and bed comfortable with lots of blankets. No heat but Gabriel will come and light the fireplace. Patzcuaro is cold in Feb in the morning so bathroom is chilly but monogrammed towels and accessories are very nice. Close to restaurants and secure parking for hotel across the street. Gabriel is most accommodating and gracious.

• Megan (10/5): - Very traditional and comfortable option in Patzcuaro. Very large rooms, and beds are extremely comfortable. It was very quiet other than the muffled church bells in the early morning, which were quiet enough from out room in the back of the building. Price is a bit high for value (it is rustic, so the rooms are cold and you need to ask the receptionist to make a fire in the fireplace at night / the shower takes a long time to heat up but otherwise the bathroom is very modern and lovely, spa-like). I’d say you are paying for location, one short block from the main square. The receptionists were very accommodating and we were able to order room service both nights from the on-site restaurant. For the price, it includes free parking, but not breakfast, so value could be better compared to the luxury we got for a similar price in Morelia and Queretaro.
• Javier (2/5): - Not what you expect for the price paid. Comparable accommodations can be obtained for a fifth of the charge. 4 x 4 room Bathroom, window and main door locks out of order. Single bar of soap. One small cookie as welcome courtesy. Courtesy breakfast for only one of the two nights and that is with a single item, fixed menu, which included a 1 oz glass of orange juice. Definitely not what I expected for $550 a night Staff is courteous and friendly Restaurant service is poor. It took 30 minutes wait for our courtesy drinks to be served and that was with an empty restaurant. Drinks were awful
