The entire atmosphere was just dirty shady and people occupying the other rooms on the property were outside drinking being loud in parking lot others were seen at local businesses hustling people and seen walking to and from the river valley inn and suites and those people looked and acted like they were on drugs dragging a child around bumming food from McDonald's and Taco Bell being loud cussing and making a mockery of themselves and the river valley inn and suites. But I see that's the type of people they have there and want there and if you are from out of town they will scheme and rob you and them make up false accusations that are proven untrue and then threaten and call the police on you when they're in the wrong. I had an unpleasant time and will never go back there they give ft smith a bad rep and name I hated everything , it was terrible and I was lied to and robbed out of for 1 of my nights I paid for I was robbed for my payment and my deposit and lied on false accusations were made and proven to be lies and false on their end they were rude and looked and acted like people on drugs and you would have thought by the way the lady at the front desk looked and acted from the first second I seen her and had dealings with her that she was bumish and on drugs or alcohol and she was dirty looking and her presentation was unacceptable so was her actions and behaviors she gave out false instructions and wasn't clear told me to sign a pad said it was for my room me er gave me my payment invoice for the room just a tear out receipt from a write in receipt book u can buy anywhere for my deposit I paid for never went over correctly the policy and procedures the property was not worth paying or spending one or two or any nights in . - Michael (1/5): - They want a $100 deposit for a $31 night stay. I canceled my stay and requested a refund. They never refunded the $31. Bad business and not a clean place. Nothing
- Schaap (9/5): - It's is a good hotel, good location..

- Anastasia (8/5): Very good staff, acommodies, and overall just a very nice cheap place to stay. - The staff were super friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable, and given the area it wasn't as bad as one might think! The floor was kind of creaky and would occasionally pop and make loud noises.
- Angela (6/5): - Staff and price Rooms not very clean
- Angela (5/5): - Price Rooms were not clean as they should be
- Angela (5/5): - Staff was very niçe Room could have been cleaner
- Anne (1/5): Pitiful business! And a rip off! - They don't tell you until you get there, that they charge a $100.00 deposit. I rented the room for my sister,, as i live in Texas.. They hid the deposit information until she got there. I told them to put it on my card. They refused unless they could physically see the card. Yet they had no problem charging the room on the card. I canceled and sent her elsewhere and they refuse to refund the cost of the room even tho she never entered the room. Never again!!!!!
- Jeremy (1/5): Management deposit fraud scam - The motel has a deposit towel and linen scam at thr management level. 63 of 100 returned and apparently they charged the cost of normally used towels. Management deposit fraudulent charges. Deposit scams fraud don't stay here. You'll have to get you credit card company to refund your deposit in the end. Management Fraudulent deposit scam.
- Jeremy (1/5): RIPOFF DEPOSIT SCAMS - Nothing about the stay was good. Ripoff alert, Management scams visitors with fake charges including replacement costs for regular use of towels, linen and hand cloths. Management at this property rips visitors off by attaching to their incidental deposits and claims erroneous damage to linens and towels. The scam is well thought out and Management believes its good for their bottom line, despite there being no damage to their materials beyond normal wear and tear for general use. RIPOFF DEPOSIT SCAMS.

- Michael (1/5): Nice location, nice staff buggy, and noisy - The property is in a close location to everything and the staff were very respectful and nice The hotel wasn’t clean and had roaches I woke up to one crawling on me. There was a noisy tenants next to me the first night woke me up and then in the morning again then the next night I finally called and someone else called me fix the situation. I didn’t have a problem since that but this hotel is very ran down very un clean and has an infestation of roaches.
- Ashley (10/5): - Easily accessible and clean rooms with helpful staff. Weirdos hanging outside the doors where I had to walk through to enter my room
- Kurtis (1/5): Runnnn - The price. Everything else about it
- Whiskey (2/5): - Nothing The fact that I paid in advance online for two nights for a room then when I get there they tell me I need $100 deposit will nobody told me that so I lost the money for two rooms and I still haven't received it back on my card so I didn't even get to stay there The place sucks it's a scam
- Jesse (1/5): Gross - The bed was ok at best The roach traps everywhere is absolutely disgusting… they have an infestation … speed pipes outside.. sticky stuff all over the hallway that was never cleaned up
- Jesse (1/5): -
- Pearson (1/5): I would never ever go back to this place in my life. - They make you keep paying for your room when you already paid for everything the first time and you will not get all your money back. The. People that works there stay getting over on the customer.
- James (2/5): - Place is a sh*thole. Roach infested, peeling paint, and dirty. No ice machines. Made reservations online, but when I arrived, they didn't have my reservation. And they required a 100.00 deposit. Would've been better off sleeping in my truck.
- Bassett (1/5): - Roaches roaches roaches!!! Need to get rid of the bugs
- Laura (2/5): just don’t - don’t stay here. just don’t stay here. everything was dirty. the sheets seemed thankfully clean. i felt the need to wear shower shoes…
- Shannan (2/5): - This place should be bull dozed
- CHRYSTAL (1/5): Tolerable - Buildings very old a d smelled very strongly of smoke no ac in the corridor no water in the pool even after incalled and asked prior to our trip. We had a e day stay and housekeeping never showed...pictures make rooms look much more updated somehow The smell...housekeeping
- Charles (2/5): - Lowest, worst, dirtiest, most run down hotel possible. Shockingly decrepit. Reallllllly bad. Broken tiles in bathroom; hair dryer non-functioning; 20 year old sunken mattress; bright red walls, painted by some 5 year old. Missing baseboard in olaces.
Could not have been any worse.
Never ever ever ever stay here. It is an embarrassment to the state of Arkansas.
- Tiffanie (2/5): - I thought it was suspicious when it said no refunds when I was booking online. I thought it was suspicious when everywhere else I've ever been they ask for my debit card for deposits. But they never charged me a deposit when I handed them my card. This place immediately charged me $100 when I checked in. There is no coffee pots in the rooms nor any available in the lobby. And the lobby has no AC. There was slanderous notes in the lobby against customers by name. There were threatening notes all over the hotel everywhere I looked including in my room tacked to the wall. The shower curtain was putrid looking. It looks like they furnished the room from stuff they found on the side of the road. The floors were dirty and not mopped. The bed had shredded plastic dragging on the floor they had plastered an adjoining door with the hinges still visible and painted over ever outlet cover in the room. I videotaped the condition of the room when I arrived immediately also. There was no housekeeping of any sort the entire 4 days I was there even after I asked about housekeeping. I was charged $58 for a blue ink stain on a towel and for washcloths being dirty with dirt. APPARENTLY YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO USE THE WASHCLOTHS OR TOWELS. BEWARE AND DONT GO THERE.
- Jesse (2/5): - There is no reference of a 100$ deposit on site, but lady at front insisted there was so had to pay an extra 100$ . There is mold in bathroom all over walls and ceiling, stained sheets on bed and open electric wires sticking out of the wall. I do not recommend anyone staying here untill the rooms are fixed.
- Katrishia (2/5): - It was very bad never again.
- Shawn (3/5): Poor -
- Kaden (2/5): - The property needs to be remodeled the sheetrock is peeling water damage bugs coming out of the drains none of the rooms are as pictured on the website
- Steven (8/5): - The staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was large and equipped with a microwave oven and refrigerator. Everything in the room worked well. The waterpressure was good and the water got hot.
There is no icemaker in the premises.
The overall shape of the buildings was a bit run outdated. The door of our hotel room was hung crooked whichl ooked bad and let extra light into the room from the hallway. The bathroom tile and paint looked like it was left halfway completed.
Everytime a guest would shut the door to their room, it would echo down the hallway and the sound would travel loudly right into our room.
Because the price was so inexpensive and the staff was so friendly, I would still consider staying here again.
- Joseph (2/5): Scammers i want my money back - Completely horrible we didn't get to stay because we didn't have the money for security deposit which we didn't know that we needed until we got there we had to stay in our car with our 2 yr old granddaughter
- Jasmine (2/5): - It was absolutely filthy, not somewhere I can recommend or will ever come back to.
- Verified traveler (2/5): I cannot rate this any lower or I would. - Very rude check in. Additional charges added after booking and would not accept additional payment via phone. Christmas spirit was definitely lacking. 😂
- Melanie (1/5): Would have been better off sleeping in my car!! - Worst place I stayed ever Room was not clean, roach and mouse traps everywhere no alarm clock no phone fridge n microwave on the floor towels the size of a toddler towel and bathroom didn’t drain fast
- Jordan (6/5): - Cheap. But if you want weekly there all the same price in this town .
- Santos (10/5): - good amenities ant decent price
- Santos (10/5): - I am happy with the stay and price
- Santos (10/5): - Nice room and great location.
- Santos (10/5): - Cozy and clean with good price
- Santos (10/5): - Really liked it.
- Santos (4/5): - .
- Tina (10/5): Very pleased - I arrived with my Emotional Support Animal and they were not sure of the policy but other than than my stay was perfect.
- Winfred (2/5): Nightmare in Fort Smith - Awful stay. Avoid at all cost. The business is a racket. When i arrived i was told i have to pay another hunnit plus (it wont less me say the three digit amount)cash on top of what was already paid. The place had the smell of bodily fluids when you walk in the front.
- Winfred (2/5): Nightmare in Fort Smith - Awful stay. Avoid at all cost. The business is a racket. When i arrived i was told i have to pay another $150 cash on top of what was already paid. The place had the smell of bodily fluids when you walk in the front.
- Maisie (10/5): - Overall the space was good for the price and location, just some small things I wish was where better
This was my first hotel I have booked myself, it was simple and the front desk people were nice and helpful. The room was mostly clean, inside the trash cans were dirty and needed a desperate scrub. There was also something on the floor near the bed and something melted onto the dresser infront of the tv. There was a bottle cap in a dresser drawer. The bed was okay but the pillows are hard and the toilet paper was rough and thin. The shower head is fixed to the wall, presser was okay but it was on blast mode and had to figure out how to change it to be more gentle. Temperature in the shower was also good. One lamp by the bed had no bulb and was loose fitting. It was nice and quiet and a good amount of space
- Jim (2/5): Worst hotel ever. - Cockroaches everywhere and the had enough balls to charge for the pest.
- Jesus (10/5): - Superb for the price. That is all.
- David (1/5): Thankfully, I did not stay there. - The location was ok. When I drove up I was surprised at how sleazy it looked. Everything looked rundown and dirty. The place seemed to be full of long-term welfare clients. Clerk behind bullet proof glass with handwritten rules and admonitions taped to the glass. I had to ring for a clerk who responded after about 5 min. I didn't want to stay, but had not cancelled in time. She took my id and card, but couldn't check me in due to a computer malfunction. After over an hour, she told me she could not check me in. I left and found a decent place. This hotel should NOT be listed on your site. The place was totally unacceptable. Front desk clerk was incompetent and rude. Lowlife residents hanging about the lobby and kids playing soccer in the parking lot which was pretty much vacant with a few derelict-looking cars.
- Risner (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (8/5): - Its alot nicer cheaper than most of the motels ive been staying at here recently
- amy (2/5): Don’t stay here - Horrible place to stay room was cover in stains and bugs staff was in pjs and had other people hanging out standing staring at u while trying to check in has a sign that says no pets but has a dog kennel by front door and a dog behind the desk
- Terri (6/5): - It took a long time to cool off the room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not worth it - Terrible place low level category fpr everything that has to do with this place.
- Tony (5/5): It worked for what we needed, have stayed multiple occasions, appreciative - Location connivence for extended stay and limited transportation Ehhhh
- Sharlie (2/5): Beyond Disappointed - I booked this room for my kiddo as they needed a quick stay over with some friends for their 21st birthday. They were met with a rude customer service. $100 cash incidental fee. Pages of rules for the stay (some
Common some not) Then they wanted to swim and were charged $8 for a wristband to swim in a tiny shoddy pool. I have never heard of such a thing! Will NEVER stay again. Will never recommend.
- tom (2/5): - Xxxxdont go
- Grey (6/5): - The managers were nice enough but the smell was awful in the hallways. Luckily it didn’t really leak into non smoking room just thought the carpets and walls could use a detail. Being behind a Walmart was convenient and felt aafe
- Nisha (2/5): Horrible - The room was filthy! Just about everything was broken and service was horrible. Very rude people. Will never stay there again.
- Terry (4/5): Business trip on a budget - Mainly sleeping only. Had 1 cockroach and a very slumpy bed. The room was fairly clean with just 1 bad spot. Saved $20 based on other area hotels so I was happy in the end.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Website said pet friendly so we stopped to stay there . Nowhere on website did it have restrictions. The girl at front desk was rude and said we had to have vaccine records and a kennel to keep our dog in (again nowhere on this website). She had 3 dogs running loose in the lobby. We did not stay here!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for the money. - This was just a cheap place to crash. Nothing fancy. I did see a bug. No big deal.
- Levi (2/5): - The halls were dirty and hot, the rooms were not clean and roaches, the room was never was cleaned during our stay no clean sheets towels and trash was not done house keeping never came in.
- LOLA (4/5): - Priced inexpensively. But: torn drape, broken and torn lampshade , A/C marginal, weird/uneven mattresses. Stay here if you're only concern is price.
- Emily (1/5): Yeah find anywhere else to stay if you have to stay in your car do so not worth even $1 - Bed was soft that’s all it had going for it Room was absolutely filthy!!! And that’s an understatement !! It was absolutely disgusting dirty walls like black stains, lamps had blood stains on them, floors were nasty bathroom was nasty the place smelled horrible we ended up spraying perfume in the place to make it smell better it was so gross the bathtub had dirt stains in it there was dried gum stuck to the lamp where you turn it on at it was gross unfortunately we had no choice but to stay there because on top of it all they charged 100 deposit and I didn’t have the money to go anywhere else. And staff isn’t friendly at all they don’t smile they don’t fix anything it’s oh well deal with it additude. Won’t go there again
- Shannon (2/5): - This is a place for the local down and out. Not for the average person for a regular night. Infestation of roaches extremely run down stains on every linen live bugs in the bed. And I still didn’t get a refund and we were there 15 mins before we got quickly out of there. The girl that checked us in was very very sweet
- Walker (1/5): Bad -
- Elias (7/5): Good -
- Carolyn (5/5): Passable - I like that it was quiet. The beds were hard and pillows flat.
- Enchantinglotus (1/5): Bad -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nastiest place I've ever seen - I entirely expected a hotel this cheap to be of low quality, but the depth of filth in this place was shocking. The stench of smoke is overwhelming, the sheets were stained, the pillows were deflated sawdust husks, the shower was backed up, the ceiling paint was flaking away in chunks, the lights were missing bulbs, there was grime buildup in every corner, and more. I showered four times during my three night stay and never felt clean.
A friend was going on a trip and graciously offered to bring me along and get me a room. If I knew in advance this place would be so filthy, I would have paid my own way.
- Jennifer (8/5): - The building is old. Tha staff are very nice. I slept really well which doesnt usually happen.
- Ann (2/5): - Left with bug bites all over!
