- Sheerin (1/5): Extortion - On check in at 1am (which was communicated in advance), staff who spoke no English insisted I pay up front for all guests (despite a credit card being on file). At the time I made the payment I suspected the amount I was charged was more than my original booking. After trying to explain this it become apparent I would not access my room whiteout payment being made. Later I checked what I was charged and it was more than double the cost of my original booking. When I spoke to reception they struggled to understand my complaint despite providing the original payment receipts. Further to this, upon check out I was presented a bill for the for the cost of my accommodation and asked to pay again. Only after having my local business partner speak to them was a refund provided. I understand there that the reception may not speak English, I do not understand why they charged my double the amount. I specifically stayed at a 'reputable' international hotel to avoid this issue.

- 0jjz1 (8/5): good stay - Convenient location (not sure if you're traveling by metro or bus) and well maintained facilities. There are smoking rooms, and I'm not sure how they're separated from non-smoking. I would the ventilation is 95% efficient. I noticed a hint there and here. It wasn't enough to bother me. I can't speak to breakfast since I didn't use it. Staff were generally quite helpful, providing excellent service--though during check out, one staff was noticeably overwhelmed and service reflected.

However, I checked out on 5/24, but the withheld security deposit from my credit card has not been cancelled as of 6/10. I called the hotel for twice already. I am not happy with their accounting department/system. Also, the room card did not work for elevator frequently. My co-worker in my local office told me that he met the similar problem a couple years ago already. We think the elevator system for room card reader need to be updated.

- jyeagerjr1967 (10/5): Really Nice Stay - The staff is very friendly and always willing to help you. Rooms are spacious, the food is very good. The hotel gym is also very good. I have heard stories of poor internet connectivity while in China. Not so at the Sheraton. My wife and I had a great time here and would highly recommend it.
- peterv1963 (10/5): business visit - stay in this hotel for 6 weeks what i very a joy. staff and personal very friendly and try always to help. around the hotel are some nice parks for walking and running. inside the hotel there is a fitness center and a swimming pool off 25 meter. around the hotel are lots off restaurants. but inside the mail are more for europeans. if u want to go downtown it will take about 15 min with taxi and cost about 23 RMB. i will stay here again. in the future.

- jonathanh441 (6/5): Seems a bit dated - I'm not sure how old the Hotel is but there were certain parts that seemed a bit dated. I though I would have a bath but the coating/surface of my bath seemed to have bubbled and peeled off so I decided against it. That said it is a recognised named Hotel so if you are staying in Hefei it is a safe bet.

Would like to have red ale tonight again together with my favorite junk food there.

Rooms are well appointed, with large bathroom and good facilities. Being a city hotel, no view to speak of. 4th floor was quiet. Lobby bar had good live entertainment, although bar service was very slow. Chinese restaurant was well appointed, expensive, and empty on my visit. Don't expect any english-speaking staff.

- ZXL_13 (10/5): amazing hotel above my expectation - I have to say this is my favoriate hotel after few trial at other hotels in hefei. The room is quite spacious, i like the corner suite which has beautiful natural lighting. The windown can open too. There is park right in front of the hotel, i can took 30 minutes walk after dinner which make me cool down a bit. The most amazing part is the staff here, they are very kind and helpful. The bell boy help me get taxi outside when it's raining and asked me stay inside hotel which make me feel warm. This is the only international hotel offer parmesan cheese in buffet restaurant in town after my observation. That really saved my life.

There is a shopping mall very nearby with restaurants and cinema. Although it starts high-way construction recently, I do think the good service it provides is more impotant to choose. I will come and stay next time.

- zling3 (10/5): Excellent location and perfect service! - The bed was so comfortable and the room was very clean as it was never occupied before. And I love Japanese restaurant within hotel. They have a special menu that you can order everything the menu provided with a lower price.
- sukyevd (10/5): Excellent top of the line hotel! - At check in, I was given a cold drink at from desk, and Lydia from desk on duty manager, greeted me with a smile, and she even walked out from behind the front desk to hand me the room card. In addition Johnny the bell hop, showed me to the room, with a warm smile. The room on the fourth floor had all the amenities and the shower had a stall and full size bathtub with strong shower head, and good hot water. The breakfast had wide variety it excellent fresh brewed coffee. Lydia must have been on duty all night as she was in the lobby the next morning at checkout and helped me get the Taxi to the railway station, and she even offered me a take out cup of hot coffee for my send off. - 780leonl (8/5): Nice choice for business trip - Spacious room with comfy table for work, internal pool, 2 type of sauna, gym. Friendly staff even with Russian support! Shanghai Train tickets can be ordered there also. Close to bank and mall with food street. Pizza Hat is prefer for Europeans.

There is also an excellent restaurant in this hotel with typical private rooms and more than perfect service. Great palce if you are staying in Hefei
- sukyevd (10/5): Excellent hotel and customer friendly - From check in to check out over two nights it was a homely experience plus. All the staff with a smile, and very helpful in getting a l taxi two days in a row to the Hefei South railway station. The breakfast had a vast variety for all taste buds. Very presentable, and sanitary. Room on fourth floor was clean, bed very comfortable, and all amenities including separate tub and shower. I checked out early prior to the 6 am opening of the breakfast room, and without any hesitation I was shown by the front desk young lady on duty the way to the dining room and helped myself to whatever was already out on display, plus a good cup of coffee. Great hospitality, Sheraton Hefei.

The only place where I found decent vegetarian option in Breakfast. The staff was willing to prepare something special too. Stayed overnight and found if worth revisiting.

- PasqualeBaiKui (10/5): New hotel, excellent staff - The hotel is modern, very new, comfortable in all aspects. I used club floor, gym and first floor buffet restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. Gym equipment was very good, complete and brand new. Food at buffet restaurant was also quite tasty. Best thing of all, staff attitude. They were all very helpful, for example I wanted a big chunk of tuna sashimi prepared as a tuna steak and they very happy to fulfill my new request, also found some extra vergin olive oil to dress it. Two odd points. 1) I needed to print a document, business centre was closed but front desk staff helped me. 2) I was on no smoking floor but found cigarettes remains near the lifts, and saw Chinese guests smoking in the lobby. As a westerner I would expect more proactive enforcement of no smoking policy, but living in China I know that in cities like Hefei, this is a somehow new concept.

In addition I was offered a cup of tea or water while checking in. This extra personal touch did not end there as I had found a hand written note in my room with a mobile number of a guest relations staff person. The price was right and the personal service was much more than expected.
