This should have been specified in Booking.commas it is rather misleading when making a reservation. A tea or coffee were also overcharged (20 Bs per cup). The sink was stuck.
• Felipe (10/5): Bom Hotel - Boa localização, quartos grandes e equipe simpática. O Café da manhã é simples. Existem supermercados próximos, feira de rua e todos os pontos turísticos do centro podem ser visitados andando a pé. No geral atendeu minhas expectativas.

Não há reclamações, mas só elogios a Jimmy porque ajudou a carregar a mala, deu dicas importantes de restaurantes e foi o que nos serviu o café da manhã no dia seguinte. Entende português também. • Verified traveler (8/5): Um bom Hotel, mas não corresponde a 4 estrelas. - O Hotel é muito bonito e confortável, mas possui algumas falhas que não condiz muito com a classificação de 4 estrelas: Tivemos falta de água durante a estadia, a qual tive que ficar debaixo do chuveiro aguardando que um funcionário ligasse a bomba para que a água retornasse e eu pudesse me enxaguar. O café da manhã estava sempre muito gostoso, mas não era reposto. Para tomar um bom café da manhã é necessário acordar cedo e saber que os outros hóspedes não poderiam desfrutar do que você comeu, pois eles não repõe nada, o que acaba por ser bem desagradável e incomodou bastante. Caso você se hospede e desça após as 8h, já não consegue tomar um bom café da manhã. No anúncio, diz que o Hotel possui bar e restaurante, mas nenhum dos dois funciona, em dia algum. No mais, os quartos são espaçosos e limpos e os funcionários extremamente simpáticos. Apesar dos defeitos é um nom hotel. Recomendo caso você não se importe com café da manhã.

• Mai (3/5): Not good value for money compared to alternatives in Santa Cruz. - The hot water showers worked without fail. Day staff were very nice. The night portier who greeted us was downright hostile, and the advertised facilities were well below expected; the sauna was off, the spa had algaes, the pool should be cleaned more often, the fitness facilities were four machines in the smallest imaginable room with no air or air conditioning. And only one cup of coffee included with breakfast. Not good value for money compared to alternatives in Santa Cruz.

• Julie (10/5): - I am from Ontario Canada. I wasen’t sure what to expect but this Hotel and Staff exceeded my expectation. They were kind, respectful and friendly. I Loved my Stay. Breakfast was delicious everyday! Even with little misunderstanding, the staff was very respectful and with discretion. Thank you for an amazing four days. Unfortunately, had to leave early because of Coronavirus border closures. I will def go back.
• Pavol (8/5): Hotel Arenal - I came to the hotel early at 09:00 and I asked the lady at the reception how much would cost early chcek in. She told me 30 dollars and I said, you want 30 dollars for 5 hours early check i? So then she changed it to 20 dollars. I paid because I traveled whole night from Suckre. I never got reciept for 140 Bolivanos. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast room was full of flies and the were all over the food which was uncovered on the table. When I booked the hotel, i noticed that they have a shuttle service to the airport. Then I had to pay 80 Bolivanos for the hotel taxi. They should not advertise shuttle service to the airport or mark it that this service is available but you have to pay.

Hotel has great swimming pool deck to relax when it's hot during the day, and has parking if you have a rental car. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and breakfast is extensive and good quality.

• Trond (4/5): Old hotel without sufficient renovation - This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but that is at least one star too much. The hotel gives the impression of old, because the intents of renovation have not given it a modern look. The rooms lack style and the wardrobes are terrible. The breakfast is very simple for a 4-star. The so-called gym has only three machines and no AC, so even in early morning it is too hot. Finally, the area where the hotel is situated is not recommended for walking outside, and be especially careful at night.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Will never stay there again - I stayed there because it was rated as excellent. I don't know how anyone can rate this hotel as excellent. The hotel is very old and not well conserved. Cleaning lady only made the bed and changed towels but didn't do any cleaning at all. Floors were disgusting and all sofas and chairs in the hotel were not only deteriorated but not clean at all. Never will ever consider staying there again. Only good thing I can say is that people at the front desk were very kind.

• Verified traveler (8/5): good for overnight stay - This is a modern hotel in downtown area relatively close to restaurants, supermarket and nightlife. my room had a jacuzzi tub and a limited view of the city to the west. the breakfast was excellent, much like a brasilian cafe da manha instead of a spanish-latin america instant coffee/dry toast affair you find fresh brewed coffee with hot milk, fresh fruit juices, fresh tropical fruits, breads and cheeses and sliced ham, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs with option of ordering eggs any style. it is expensive for bolivia. wi-fi in the room costs quite a bit, but there is a computer in the lobby available for free to guests. for an overnight stay it is a comfortable stop. for longer term there are more authentic bolivian options available at less cost.
• Brenda (2/5): Not impressed - On check in they were more intent on whether I was going to pay than providing service. They seemed to think that was more important and were fairly aggressive about the whole matter. I was trying to check whether I needed to pay with the card I had made the reservation with, but they didn´t seem to follow that, so the whole experience was unnecessarily irritating. The hotel is over priced for what it is, I had scruffy room, fortunately I was only staying a few hours. Didn´t like the hotel at all and I have stayed in hundreds in my lifetime and this is probably the worst.
