• Sara (9/5): Overall a great stay and so many great things to do in the area. - Location is amazing. Chalet is big, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Being right on the lake was wonderful and the shallow water meant the temperature was pleasant for a swim. Unfortunately we were there during a scotching hot stretch and not having an AC made it difficult to sleep at night. The fan only helped a little. Would have appreciated more toiletries. Plan to return.

• Yuanchao (7/5): 酒店景色优美，服务太差！ - 位置很好，面对金湖沙滩，有两颗树叶通红的大树，金色非常漂亮😻 我们入住当天正好是感恩节，酒店员工放假！餐厅关闭，周边的餐厅也不营业，没地方吃午饭！有一个员工牺牲休假时间，从家里赶来酒店为我们办理入住。也没有额外收我们早入住的费用！在此表示感谢！晚饭也不提供！我问早餐是否提供？该服务员告诉我们说：早餐时间7:00-9:30。第二天早上起来7点差几分，我前往餐厅吃早餐，结果餐厅漆黑一片，一个人没有，更别提早餐了！只好吃了点随身携带的饼干。8点准备结账交房间钥匙，依然是没有人！只好把钥匙放到门口的花盆里，并电话留言给酒店。正要启动汽车🚘，来了一个酒店员工，于是又把钥匙交给她，才驾车离去！

Bathroom wasn't very clean and outdated, the exterior of the buildings were full of cobwebs, just felt worn out. Could do with some TLC.

• Kuk Ja (2/5): - Great view, but very inconvenient. Amenities are just shampoo and soap. No teas Staff didn’t stay at the property, had to make a phone call to reach, even no answer. They said there‘s a grab and go breakfast, but no staff showed up with breakfast at the office until 8 a.m.which was locked up over night. Won’t come back to this hotel again,

• Annette (7/5): Für einen Zwischenstopp ok. - Die Lage ist super. Direkt am See, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon zum See. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich einfach, aber sehr sauber. Obwohl es kein Frühstück gab, war an der „Rezeption“ Kaffee, Teilchen, muffins und Joghurt zum mitnehmen. Toll!!
• Emily (10/5): - We arrived late but our room had been set up, and someone came back into the office to welcome us. The room is comfortable and clean, but the real stunner is the view. You can sit outside your door and have an uninterrupted panoramic view of a big lake, which is spectacular at sunset and when the stars come out. Can’t wait to come back.
• juanpa (10/5): - Zack and team were awesome to us. Wonderful place that we’ll for sure come back. Ideal place to take a few days off. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the spa, but we’ll do that next time; we’ll make sure to book it in advance
• Linda (10/5): - We arrived after sunset and left around s foggy dawn, so we didn't get to see much of the lake view. But the room was very nice; wedstay there again. Our only disappointment was that breakfast wasn't available until 8, and we needed to be on the road before then.
• John (2/5): Don’t be fooled by the website. - Stopped for one night. Definitely would not recommend. Dirty, not very friendly staff at the check in nice lady on duty in the morning. Breakfast was an experience, muffin, banana, coffee out of a dirty coffee pot and a limited choice of cereal out of 3 old beaten boxes, actually looked like the breakfast was put together from what they could find in the owners kitchen cupboards, this did give us a chuckle though as never seen anything like it. Biggest complaint is how dirty the place is. Clean bedding and towels but everything else was dirty, old and tired. Great view of the lake and nice (misleading) website.

• Michaela (8/5): - Schöne Lage am See, leider wollte das Wetter nicht mitspielen. Außer der Unterkunft nicht viel inn der Nähe. Da wir wochentags da waren, war das Frühstück enthalten. Das Buffet war recht übersichtlich und sehr "süß" lastig. Leider wurde das was fehlte (Teller, Löffel, Milch, Kaffee), erst auf Nachfrage nachgefüllt. Das war ziemlich nervig. Ansonsten ein schöner Zwischenstop auf unsrem Weg nach Ottawa.

Things like stains (rusty) in the sink, bathroom ceiling had large water damage, baseboards were chipped away. Could not get the TV on, although we did not need it for anything important.

Der Fitnessraum ist gut ausgestattet und im Spa erwarten einen superfreundliche Mitarbeiterinnen und viele Angebote. Unbedingt vorreservieren! Es gehört ordentlich durchgeputzt und renoviert. Die Anlage hätte alles zu bieten, von Volleyballplatz, Minigolfbahn, usw., aber es ist nicht benützbar. Das Personal im Hotel war entgegenkommend, wenn man etwas braucht, aber nicht unbedingt aktiv bemüht. Das Frühstück ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

• Marion (8/5): Disappointing visit to The Sands on Golden Lake - Lovely spot but invaded by Canada Geese so lots of poop on the beach. Restaurant was sub par. Asked about early checkin and was told no the maids need their time— no Im sorry but—- when I commented the chicken wrap tasted off the manager said he trued it and it was fine. Lovely view though.

• Maria (10/5): - Plage privé derrière l'établissement, très sympa, on peut même se baigner dans le lac. Petit déjeuner en emporter dans la chambre,mais avec la vue sur la plage on n'a pas besoin de plus. Très grande chambre avec coin salon et terrasse. A l'extérieur un petit couche de peinture pour donner l'aspect moins vieillot. A l'intérieur c'est parfait.

Etwas abgewohnt, Personal war für Kanada unüblich beim Check-in ein wenig mürrisch, Restaurant schließt sehr früh (bei uns 20 Uhr), der Ort besteht aus wenigen Häusern daher gibt es nicht viele Alternativen (ein chinesisches Restaurant welches noch früher schließt)

• Andrew (7/5): - Beautiful setting beside the lake. Rooms are fine, if a bit tired. "Grab and go" breakfast was the least tempting option we have been offered so far in Canada. Having the hotel restaurant open for dinner from 4-7pm hardly seems worth the effort. I went to view the menu at 6-15 and was told ' ...we haven't had any customers, so we'll be closing soon'. Not exactly welcoming. Luckily, we had a great evening at the Wilno Tavern instead.
• Larivière (9/5): Relaxing and quiet - The location was relaxing and quiet. The staff was friendly and super great to converse with. The rooms have a balcony with a view on the lake. You can hear the waves hit the shore (beach). The restaurant closes earlier than typical time but for understandable reasons. The room's ceiling and bathroom fan could use a little cleaning. There was a bit of dust on them.
