Guest Reviews
- Michel (10/5): Such a Beautiful site - Multi hotel complex on the edge of the sea with direct sea views- beach is a staircase away- 6 pools- 7 restaurants- gigantic buffet breakfast- very nice personnel- large honeymoon junior suites with balconies. Only minus is taxi needed to go out in the city.
- Frederick R (10/5): Gorgeous - The motel, location, staff, food, and drinks were all amazing :) however the food and drink prices were more than I expected to pay in Thailand… would I do it again? Absolutely 😉
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Swimming pools are amazing!
- Jason (10/5): - Very cute honey suite. Nice hotel 5 star
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful resort we can’t wait to return. The staff and rooms were excellent.
- Roman (10/5): - Nice and quiet.
- Rebecca (10/5): GO THERE - This was the most beautiful place we stayed in Thailand. Sunset…. oh my… private beach and good food
- Mayuree (8/5): - Which more restaurants are opened . Not much to choose from.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing - Amazing resort, with multiple restaurants within. The private beach for hotel guests was an added bonus
- Daniel (8/5): - They need more personal speaking English
- Nisarg (10/5): - Amazing stay especially the front desk staff (kritsada) very accommodating. More then happy to stay here
- Scott (10/5): - Amazing place to stay. We were really impressed
- Ayushi (8/5): - Amazing property with excellent views
- John (8/5): One and done - The location was great and the room was decent but the balcony looked outdated. The linen quality is poor for the price we paid. Breakfast is very expensive regardless of the options, we did not want to spend that much for breakfast. The only thing we like was the view and the pool. We think there is a better hotel with the same price range.
- mongkol (6/5): - Below my expectations
- Junming (10/5): - Very friendly staff. A bit older hotel but very clean and well-maintained.
Highly recommended for those staying in Pattaya.
- Mathew (8/5): - Beautiful Luxury Rooms, all private beachfront balconies. Beds still kind of hard but thats any bed in Thailand.
Reception Staff needs to learn not to assume a single guy checking in is only looking for sex and keep repeating the fee for a guest. Wasnt in Thailand for Sex was.there.for Weed.
Breezeo was nice for a bite to eat, and i was surprised they let me smoke, t
I didnt even ask as i knew it was non smoking.
Overall great property but i likely will not return as Pattaya isnt my jam.
- Korn (10/5): - I stayed in this hotel 30 years ago. Everything inside the room is still in good conditions and clean.
- Dang (10/5): - Great hotel for the cost
- Seira (10/5): - All staff were very friendly and professional. The property is very private, and they have a private beach, making it perfect for a staycation!
- Mabel (10/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Check in slow, room musty smelling, food was meh, breakfast was below average. Won’t stay again
- Zachary (10/5): Amazing views - Perfect stay, and amazing room
- Kathryn (8/5): Lovely stay! - We had an amazing stay! The property itself is a bit dated, but everything is kept very clean. The room itself was updated and had a beautiful view. Definitely a good, quiet, classy place to stay in busy Pattaya. The only downside was that the bed was quite uncomfortable. But overall a great stay!
- Juan (8/5): - Beautiful hotel on the beach. Very friendly staff. Everyone was very helpful. The breakfast is really good with lots of options. The pool was amazing. The only reason I'm not given 5 stars is the quality of the beds in the room. I stayed in the family room which has two bedrooms. The main bedroom had one king size bed, however the bed was very hard. The other room had two single beds roll together. They were very uncomfortable and the beds moved when you sat on them. I didn't like the beds at all. But the beach was nice and hotel itself was very nice. I probably would try another hotel before rebooking this one.
- Yevgeniy (10/5): - Highly recommend 👍
- Willem (8/5): - Mooi hotel maar vind de fronddesk niet goed met uit checken hebben ze nog niet alles voor elkaar
- SVETLANA (10/5): - Lounge area need improvement
- Floyd (10/5): - Amazing place, great value for money, beautiful rooms (terrace was refurbished), and glorious pools. I also wasn’t expecting much in terms of food quality, but it’s actually top notch all over the property. Thai food is legit (I travel with a Thai person), but the pizza and burger for example are also amazing.
If I had to pick any gripe, alcoholic drinks are very expensive, a basic cocktail or mix drink is 320 baht at most places inside the property. Also if you’re looking to easily get into town - that takes a minute and you’ll need a taxi. It’s not SUPER far but it’s a hill plus there’s lots of traffic and it’s definitely not walkable. In return you get a beautiful oasis of calm though.
- suna (10/5): - There are different types of swimming pools.
Especially, infinity pool with ocean view was amazing.
There were quite generous amenities and hotel was in the safe/quiet area and had easy access to private beach.
- Martin (10/5): - Beautiful property with many pools … beach restaurants on property and close to local activities.. great friendly staff will be back
- Ali (8/5): - Okay hotel, surely not a 5-star, may be 3.5 at best. Big compound, has several buildings, good swimming pools, nice private beach, breakfast restaurant always busy, one morning of our stay was closed and they had to push us to a restaurant in another building which was double busy. Rooms are okay, but obviously old. Our room tv probably 15 years old. Not going there again.
- Shuai (10/5): - The staff was very friendly. The room was amazing. The view was spectacular! I had a wonderful time.
- Renat (10/5): - It was my first visit in Pattaya and I happy that choose this hotel. It is great place all in one to have a rest. Private beach is great quite far from city but you can reach it by walk
- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely hotel and pools with great beach access. Not many restaurants were open and there’s not much around nearby
- Chris (10/5): - Great for young families. Would definitely return
- Paul (10/5): - Check in took longer then should have. Coffe bar was understaffed most mornings.
- Weiting (6/5): - Could be better if the kid play center open longer. Everything close so fast
- Verified traveler (10/5): The best infinity pool, ever~! - It would have been nice if the reception staff treated the guests more favorably. They need a smile.
- Narges (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast though was disappointing.
- Fredrik (10/5): - High standard on cleanliness, service and facilities
- Kapil (4/5): - This property deserves zero star. I am only giving them 2 star because of excellent dining options.
I had booked a beach terrace two bedroom suite as a last stop in my recent travel to Thailand. Our less then desirable experience began on our way to the suite.
The elevator smelled horribly. Then, we went to our room , which didn’t look too well. Corners were dirty and dust could he seen. My family wanted to check out immediately - but I convinced them to stay.
Next morning, my wife discovered a large bug (looked like millipede) on the pillow that I slept on the night before. I showed the picture to the hotel reception and they moved us to two connected rooms of Royal Cliff Beach hotel (a downgrade if we go by their luxury definition). This ruined our entire Sunday and plans.
The new rooms looked recently renovated, were brighter and better than suite. However, we discovered cigarette buds in the Patio of each room (I and my son are Asthmatic and non-smoker). The bathroom curtains, towels and beach slippers were dirty.
Even next day, house keeping didn't clean the cigarette buds from Patio. This tells a lot about the hotel. The lobby of our floor smelled like a smoker’s paradise. It seems the air ventilation needed maintenance.
Only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because of amazing food choices. Restaurants and room services are very good snd food tasted great.the staff went out of their way in ensuring great food quality.
- Leonid (10/5): - Great stay
- Gabriela (10/5): - the staff were all so accommodating and made the stay much more enjoyable. They were able to answer any questions that I had, and made sure that I was comfortable during my stay. There was someone always willing to help, and even during a conference, there were still many opportunities to receive help.
- TANAWAT (8/5): - -
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful room, clean, quite and excellent service except the laundry service quite expensive..I will stay again on my next visit.
- Lawrence (8/5): - Nice location, great hotel, will be staying again.
- Naohisa (10/5): - It was a pity that the restaurants were not fully open at Covid-19, but other than that, it was a very satisfying stay.
Also, if I have a chance, I would definitely like to stay again.
Thank you very much.
- Bret (10/5): - This property was fantastic. I had. Really enjoyable stay here. Food was good and staff was incredible. I made friends with Gam who runs the front desk employees and in my opinion basically runs the hotel. Whatever I needed she was always there to help. My rooms were always clean so the cleaning ladies are fantastic and wonderful people. Everyone that I met was polite and kind and there’s no doubt in my mind that I would stay there again. In fact I wish I still was there. 5 stars all around
- Daniel (10/5): - Hotel excellent. Couple of pools to pick from every day and amazing beach access. Nice quiet and very well managed. Front desk team was outstanding to our every question and request. Property is super secure and multiple restaurants from pick from within the property. Great family and private atmosphere in the middle of wild Pattaya and only about 10 minutes drive to the old Pattaya walking streets and beach front.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, on the beach (I stayed at cliff terrace) nice staff, gorgeous pool, ok beach, comfy bed and pleasing room, pricey though!
- allan lac (10/5): - Great hotels. Highly recommended. Food was good and very reasonable price. Infinity pool.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic position with private beaches and easy yo reach centre of Pattaya with taxis
- Hamza (10/5): - We love our stay there; the resort is just perfect, 7 pools, multiple restaurants and the view from the infinity pool is gorgeous.
Most of the staff were amazing, always smiling, I would like to call out the night front desk representative, Pop, she was amazing, helped us not only with resort stuff but giving us instructions about the surrounding, tours, and many other things to do there.
We cant wait to be back to this resort.
Cheers guys
Thanks heaps
- Mahbub (10/5): - Everything was good and the feel was very classic and the view was amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful staff and service, good food, nice rooms with sea views, very relaxing and peaceful place. I stayed with grandchildren and they loved the swimming pools with lifeguards watching and pool service was good with nice ice cream, drinks and food served quickly pool side...I would highly recommend this hotel...
- satyam (10/5): Fabulous stay. - Fantastic beach resort away from the noisy city life. Perfect for family vacation. everything was amazing.. staff service, food, rooms, pool, view, location etc. Indian food in Maharani Restaurant and snacks in Breezo are super delicious.
- Brian (10/5): Very nice! - Really nice hotel & pool looking over the sea and islands.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All rooms faced the ocean! Excellent view! I would recommend this place hands down!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good hotel. A bit far from the city. Expensive taxi.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Far from center
- LordBentner (10/5): - It is a huge property with multiple restaurants and facilities.
It is not walk-able to pattaya city.
Limo taxi to the airport cost around 1k baht.
Best option is to rent a car, price starts from 1k baht per day, deposit is 5k baht.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Multi facilities from different functions under brilliant staff manner and competency! Will come back definitely with long stays
- GORDON KEE KEONG (8/5): The Better Wing - If you have to stay at The Royal Cliff Beach, this is a better wing than the normal wing. This is the Terrace Wing where all rooms face the sea. Rooms are newer and better. But of course the Royal Cliff is not known for superb service.
- Frank (10/5): - It’s a good stay for family holiday. Nearby has good restaurants.
- Lam Fai (10/5): - No free shuttle for transporting you to downtown, but if you are looking for relax days in Pattaya this resort could be your best choice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - In the beach hotel with amazimg facilities. Be aware its a 10 minute taxi ride into Pattsua City. It is not wallable as few pavements.
If you want to chill out this is one if the best hitels ive been in.. the foid at its Breezo retuarant is very good and the staff very friendly. Right next yo sea with a calm atmosphere
Really is one of the nicest hotels ive been in. Taxi into Pattaya costs 400 bahts = £10 from hotel but 200 bahts when up pick a taxi up from beach back to hotel.
Go to the sanctuary of truth and ask for a guide that soeaks your language, it really is worth it as is the 30 min foot massage afteerwards.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice beach, completely under construction though. Remodeling during our entire stay, may be decent when completed, would not have stayed if known.
- Mei Ling (8/5): Indian food restaurant Is recommended - The hotel location is a bit far from the city center, good for relaxation with silence. Spacious room. Overall service was good. I had one time dinner in restaurant Maharani. It offered very delicious and good Indian food with good price. Even the after dinner espresso coffee and the piece of cookie were all over my expectation good. Buffet breakfast had various selections with average standard. The swimming pools and the hotel bar were good for seeing the sunset. Taking taxi from hotel to Central Marina cost 400 Baht and 300 Baht for return. The hotel is good for those want a relax holiday without too much crowd. I enjoyed the stay though the weather was not that good for outdoor.
- Raymond (8/5): Room over see the beach. - Private clean beach. Comfortable surrounding. Nice helpful staffs. No hassle.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The very best - Everything was absolutely perfect.
Will be returning very shortly.
- Satendra (10/5): Delighted with the services and location. - Amazing experience. Their bar and restaurants were too good.
- Jo (10/5): - Enjoyable stayed. Especially dining at the beach "breezeo " . Food & waves viewing are simply fantastico.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Balcony on Honeymoon Suite - I have stayed many times in Pattaya , but this was the first time at Royal Cliff Terrace Beach. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. This is not a party hotel and away from the go go bars and Walking Street Area. I drove and found the parking spacious and with security guards. I would advise if you like late snacks or beverages bring your own as there are no convenient stores within easy walking distance. I selected the Honeymoon suite promotion because I wanted a sea view with a balcony. The balcony was nice size with a small table and two lounges. It was also covered which is nice and you could hear and see the waves splashing below. The rooms are not smoking , but apparently the balcony is ok because some inconsiderate people put cigarette butts in the flower hedge . I would suggest if the hotel is going to allow smoking on the balcony they should provide some type of ash tray . I thought the room very clean although if you nit pick you might find a little dirt or hair here and there. No watching TV in bed because it's on a wall in the small living room area. I ate at the restaurant below the room on the beach. Happy hour is 3pm to 5pm where drinks are half price making them about 115 baht each for cocktails. The food there is very good. A bit higher then a street diner , but not over the top. Swimming pools are beautiful and clean with a beautiful view. If looking for a nice quiet getaway or romantic evening and can get a low season promotion I would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good stay , comfortable, helpful staff but receptionist needs more experience to deal with clients smoothly as well room service
- Amir (8/5): - This hotel is a little far from some points of interest, but they provide a shuttle service (extra charge). The breakfast buffet was excellent, although you have to pay a high price for it. The infinity pool has very nice views, but it is obviously a bit old, could definitively be renewed/painted and the water should be changed/filtered more often. In general, this resort is cool as they have a lot of facilities and you can explore around if you're up for a walk; we would recommend the staff to be more friendly to keep up with the famous Thai hospitality!
- Nmo (10/5): Great hotel....impeccable service - Honestly could not fault it.
I had read mixed reviews, but as I said I couldn't fault anything about it from the moment I arrived to the time I left...stayed one week.
- Gangashanaiah (10/5): Great Place to stay & relax - It was amazing.. awesome place to stay with family..
- Verified traveler (10/5): For relax and chill - Wonderful place. For peace and view. Private beach and nice Swimming pool
- Graham (10/5): - Some days its easy just to stay at the hotel. Nice beach and fantastic swimming pools. All the food is great.
Superb service by all of the hotel staff.
We really enjoyed our holiday at Royal Cliff Beach
- Yididiya (10/5): - everything is awesome. really really loved it and it was beyond my expectation.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Will not stay here again, ever! - We were disspointed with the room and the staff manner. The room was old and dirty. The bathroom has bad smell, which we called the staff to check it out. The only thing the did was to come and spray some kinda perfume every 4 hours. The worst thing is that during the night the staff opened the door while we were sleeping, without even knocking. When they saw us sleeping they just said ‘oh’ then closed the door. It heppened twice! We were shocked and felt really scared. Also, while in the room, we could hear noice from the lifts and staff talking and playing radio, which we find really inappropriate.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - bad location, insects everywhere, no answer from the front desk, unfriendly services, poor wifi, and so on... the worst hotel I have ever stayed... would never come back again
- Paul (10/5): - overall it was a good stay, a few small niggles like lots of ants in the room, accessible exits to surrounding streets were manned by security and no way out or back in, so a 100m walk to a local bar or shop became a 1 mile taxi ride (or hill hike) via the main gate, or a 1 mile beach walk down and up 400+ cliff steps and through another hotels grounds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - top class resort. Stayed at another hotel for 1 week but was not very good. should have gone here from the start. the staff, food and pools were all very good
- Nattakrit (10/5): Breakfast - Breakfast is so expensive if book room with breakfast everthing is perfect
- Bank (10/5): Breakfast - Breakfast price is so expensive if guest need to book room with breakfast service is perfect room is very comfortable I will be back again.
- Pete (8/5): Great hotel and pool view was superb, room avg - The staff and Restuarant dinning was great. Stunning views from the infinity pool. Fitness facilities was great. The bathroom was too small and shower size was very small and bumping elbows to the wall( I’m 6ft) Shower drainage was small which had a lot of water filling up the base up to ankles. Tried fixing however the drain size was a 10baht coin. Suggesting also to have a later shuttle bus time to like 9.30
- GORDON KEE KEONG (8/5): Boring Convention Hotel - The hotel was big and room was kind of located quite a walk away. Room was nice and big but bed was too hard, I believe the mattress is too old and needs changing. Overall it is a boring convention hotel.
- Mark (6/5): Difficult to rate - Stayed for 3 nights, and find this a difficult hotel to rate. Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is in a huge conference resort. I don't like conference resorts, so my experience is skewed as a result. Facilities are good, poolside service is non existent. Hotel staff are efficient, and there is many of them.
Our room was on the beach terrace, comfortable,
but infested with ants. This was addressed after we complained, but never went away.
Breakfast is at Panorama restaurant, view very limited so why called that I don't know. Service is abysmal. Virtually no English is spoken, if you don't buy the breakfast package getting in is a chore, and buffet is extensive, but getting to it is pandemonium. Coffee was not ever hot, and explaining you want hot coffee is impossible. After I managed to get someone to understand, they then tried to charge me for the coffee, despite already charging me for the breakfast which includes coffee. The one five star experience we had was at Breezeo restaurant which is down on the water. Seafood was excellent, and matched by the only 5 star service we had whilst at hotel. We ate there lunch and dinner every day, to get away from the hoards of sheep in the main hotel, and would suggest the hotel consider opening breakfast there, and divert guests away from Panorama. It would be a far more intimate experience.
If you like tour groups, conferences, and serving yourself, the hotel will suffice.
- Mike (8/5): Good location and did fair price - Overall the room was good, view was fantastic. The hotel never felt crowded. However there were two different weddings parties at the hotel when we stayed and we were not allowed into the Sundowner bar at sunset because of this. Unfortunately private parties come before hotel guests... lost a point because of this.
- A SHEPHERD (2/5): Dismayed at the awful attitude of the staff. - Hotel made a mistake in the advert, booking included Gaala dinner, they refused to honour the advertised dinner booking.
- David (4/5): Disappointing - Uncomfortable bed and problems with the drainage, which caused a bad smell in the room. We were moved to another room but the noise of An all night Disco from an Indian wedding kept us awake, until we were again moved to another room.
No compensation was offered.
- oska (10/5): Fantastic hotel - We have stayed many times and allways love it.
Our favourite part for Room is the terrace part of hotel.
Overall it’s hard to fault this hotel but a small issue would be that many if the staff are young and poorly trained, they try hard but could do better.
We would definitely recommend this fantastic hotel.
Also the location is great as it’s away from the madness of Pattaya but only 10 minutes away from Pattaya when you want it.
- Jimmy Davis (8/5): Access to what matters - The view of the beach and Bay is priceless. The training of the dining staff needs to be revisited. The food is outstanding. Patience is called for with the language barrier. other than that, a great stay over all. A great value for the price paid.
- Nan (8/5): Nice hotel close to beach and good pool. - - Hotel is good location. Easy to go by public transportation.
- Pool is good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great time, great place, great services. - It's a really good time for us after 24 years anniversary. We will back here again with our kids.
- Ronald (10/5): Quality Room, Service and Stay! - Top notch service, quality room and Beautiful property on the water. Service stands out in every way shape and form. Called housekeeping to clean my room at about 8am and they were at my room in 2 minutes.
- Richard R (10/5): Royal Cliff Beach Terrace Hotel - Fantastic.. the best location and sea view. Great facilities and restaurants. Excellent customer service from arrival to departure. Great job and thank you for a wonderful stay.!
