- Emily (8/5): Really nice spot, would stay again if I’m in the area, but sleep quality due to noise is a consideration - Lovely accommodation with really friendly and helpful staff Only downside was thin interior walls meant that I heard everything my neighbours were saying and was woken up by their alarm etc in the morning

- Hazel (10/5): H - Beautiful room, excellent facilities. Beautiful breakfast.
- eccles (10/5): - The services was amazing! Nowadays its difficult to find a place where the service offered is as important as the product. The lady owner made us feel special from check-in time until check-out. Breakfast was fabulous too!

- Marvin (6/5): It is a nice place just some small annoyances. - The owner could have been more accommodating for credit card use. She said she couldn’t take a credit card that gave points. Owner seemed distracted and didn’t treat us like “family”. No soap in the shower. Didn’t seem flexible with check in and check out times.
- Alistair (8/5): - Friendly, comfortable and lovely decor N/a
- Emilia (10/5): - It’s getting to be a rare gift to get to stay in a family-fun B&B, and this was just wonderful. The space was beautiful, cozy, clean, and Miriam and her staff were warm and responsive. Bruff is small and sweet and lovely. I wish I could’ve stayed more than one night!

THANK YOU!! Nothing …
- Dominic (9/5): - Beautifully designed, comfortable bed No complaints

- Jennifer (9/5): Intriguing repurposing of an old bank. Nicely appointed accommodation in a quaint small town. - The transformation of an old bank into an accommodation is well done. It is quaint that the rooms were named after banking terms (we stayed in the treasury!). The owner has high attention to detail eg chocolate on bedside table, coloured towel in bathroom for people removing make-up or tanning products. The hired staff were warm and welcoming. The room was of good size and well furnished. Don't be put off by the initial email with rules and expectations explicitly set out. They are all quite reasonable and if they weren't mentioned, you wouldn't act any differently. It's just a reminder that this accommodation is a family run B&B and isn't staffed 24/7 like a hotel. The lived experience was very good nonetheless.
- Marie (10/5): -
- Mc Caughey (9/5): Most enjoyable, restful and satisfying. - A most delightful stay. No complaints.
- Matthew (10/5): Consistently good - Located on the main street in Bruff, the property is about 25km to the south of Limerick City so is easily accessible by car if working on the south side of the city. The host is friendly, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet, a recipe for a good nights sleep. A kettle with coffee, tea etc. are provided in the room and the bedside chocolate was a nice touch. Nothing, but based on past experience I would recommend the breakfast.
- Maria Teodora (9/5): - Miriam! 🤗
Lovely person, amazing energy! To have a longer vacation!
- Donal (10/5): -
- Fiona (5/5): The building has lovely character and Miriam was lovely to deal with - Miracle was an excellent host & very friendly/helpful The wc kept blocking, throw on bed was a bit grubby, mattress was very uncomfortable and although there was shampoo on tge wall over the bath, there was no shower gel. The room itself though was nice
- Ken (10/5): - Nice rooms, engaging owner, overall a great stay. Not many restaurant options locally.
- Sue (10/5): - Beautiful B&B with lots of charm.
- Dörte (7/5): -
- AUBREY (10/5): -
- Cogavin (9/5): - Lovely place to stay and great value for money.
- Siobhan (10/5): - An incredibly friendly, immaculately clean B&B, with a family welcome, the Old Bank has lovely heritage features, and I really liked the very spacious room.
- Marcus (10/5): -
- Rebecca (9/5): Friendly hosts, comfortable rooms and close to a good pub, Clancy’s - Central location and great breakfast Nothing
- Ciara (10/5): - Beautifully decorated, extremely clean, very warn and welcoming. Very quiet and incredibly comfortable bed.
- Fredrik (8/5): Back to the past - In the centre of town, close to a supermarket and pub. Guesthouse that brings you back 100 years. Noisy street with lot of traffic.
- Douglas (9/5): - Location
- Csaba (10/5): - Excellent service, very friendly owner, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, amazing Irish breakfast - 10/10! -
- Barb (8/5): Lovely comfortable room, convenient to town - Comfortable, clean & convenient
- Carly (4/5): Awful customer service, which ruined the nice stay - *Updated Review*
This was my original review: "Lovely staff, gorgeous room and comfortable bed"
Following on from this experience and more interaction with the staff post stay, the customer service was a disgrace. The disgraceful treatment from Miriam, the owner. Straight after posting my original review here, which was wholly accurate (other than referring to this place a hotel, which I have removed in this update), I received a phone call from Miriam. She didn't ask me if I had a moment to speak about my stay or review. She launched into picking apart my review, citing how hard she works and that it's a family run business. She screamed at me down the phone, would not let me speak and the times that she did she cut me off and eventually hung up on me. To say I was shocked and appalled was an understatement. I probably would've stayed here again was it not for the harassing phone call I received. Miriam does not show any respect for her customers, and continued to reference the fact that we booked through booking.com as if we committed a crime. I would love to see her take on some basic customer service and interaction skills classes to ensure no one else is cold called simply to be screamed and shouted at about their review.
I would avoid this place at all costs.
Original review: "The late check in/out time. 5pm-8pm for checking on and 11am check out. I paid €132 for one night which was discounted on booking.com and would've been more expensive via direct website. This rate didn't include breakfast. I understand it's a family run business but 5pm for earliest check in is not ok considering the price.
There was only a 3 in 1 shampooing conditioner in the bath/shower. For the rate of the room and the quality of the rest of the room I would at least expect separate shower gel/shampoo/conditioner at a minimum."
- William (10/5): They are passionate about your stay! They clearly do hard work to achieve this! - The room decor was very stylish and was cleaned thoroughly on arrival! Lovely attention to detail! Jacuzzi bath is a must so relaxing! ☺️.Location is very central have a shop next door and pubs only a stone throw away! Louise at reception was very welcoming and very pleasant and down to earth! Thank you very much Louise! I can’t fault them to be honest! Maybe the bean portion for breakfast to be bigger! Looked tiny to me but I do love beans!
- Hugh (10/5): Great family run hotel in the lovely village of Bruff - Great hotel in the village of Bruff - friendly atmosphere and super comfy rooms. Rooms clean, well kitted out and bathrooms are excellent. Nothing to mention

- Jaap van Eindhoven (8/5): -
- Gianluca (10/5): -
- Irene (10/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): - Loved the style of hotel and room. Modern but stylist old twist.
- Michael (9/5): Overall we were very pleased with our stay at The Old Bank B and B - An old style Irish B and B which should appeal to visitors from abroad It was in a very central location Breakfast was excellent and a little box of pastries were available for “take away “ A short power outage meant we didn’t have the TV working one day or available water
- Ian (10/5): Nice place for short stay. - Nice place to stay on short visit.
- Anja (6/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): - Management went above and beyond for guests
- Radek (10/5): - Truly a family business where you would learn all the gossip :) Very cosy.
- Orla (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Stay very friendly and helpful. - Lovely period decor
- onlpl (10/5): Bank, on The Old Bank. - The Old Bank is exactly what I was hoping for. The rooms are very clean and well presented. You have. Tea and coffee for yourself in the room.
You have body lotion and shampoo for showers plus hand wash. It's
For the ladies. there is a darker towel, which I thought was a great idea, for makeup.
The beds are well made very comfortable and have nice fluffy pillows.
We were greeted by the owner. She is not only very friendly but very funny, which I liked. There is nothing in did not like. But then I don't go looking for issues, I'm here for a good time and thats all that matters.
- Chris (7/5): - Clean , eco friendly
- Elaine (10/5): Elegant Townhouse with genuine Irish welcome. - What a wonderful stay. I was en route to Mallow from Dublin and needed a place to stay. I didn’t want a hotel. The accommodation is exactly as per the photos. It’s quaint, timeless and elegant. My room was huge with everything you would expect. Even an electric fan.
Miriam was so welcoming. It was lovely to be her guest. Nothing. It was a beautiful property with a lovely host.

- Pat Dunne Celebrant (9/5): Miriam is a super host. 6th - You won't be Dissapointed Miriam & her staff are so welcoming. Breakfast is excellent & the home baked muffins & cakes are a fabulous delicious touch. Miriam gives you a present of them after breakfast. We were there on a weekend & there was a good buzz in the local pubs.

- Ivan (10/5): - Old style pleasant hotel with corresponding furniture, large and comfortable double bed. And jacuzzi - the best. In the centre of village close to historic site.
- Rachel (8/5): Very enjoyable - The breakfast options were varied and delicious . Great service and a lovely atmosphere in the breakfast room. All good.
- Anna (10/5): -
- Louise (10/5): - Fabulous house, friendly kind and knowledgable staff! Miriam is a lady, horrors chatty and so helpful
- Tiziano (7/5): - Colazione ottima!
- seosamh (8/5): excellent in all aspects, best value booking online directly -

- Hossein (10/5): Highly recommended and definitely would go again. - Very comfortable and very clean. Amazing staff and delicious breakfast.
