Guest Reviews
- Faberdal (10/5): -
- Guest (10/5): - Breakfast was amazing. The property was absolutely stunning.
- Jannisje (8/5): Kan absolutt anbefale stedet.
- Ralf (10/5): Ich komme wieder!
- Nichole (10/5): - Was a really lovely stay! The bed was so comfortable, the entire hotel was quiet and peaceful and the views were amazing!
We only stayed one night, but we got to enjoy a three course dinner and breakfast and they were both delectable
My only gripe will be the cleanliness, because it was an older property it definitely needed a bit more maintenance. The rooms were nice and clean enough but I noticed some cobwebs in the bathroom. Otherwise it would have been a perfect stay!!
- Carmelo (7/5): Not going back - Facilities One of the staff very rude when we arrived.
- Oliver (8/5): Wonderful short stay in a secret hideaway. - The parc is 1,8 km away from public roads and you reach the castle-like place after several security gates.
The welcome was utmost friendly and personal was very helpful.
"Toscanini" was a spacious room with everything we needed.
Breakfast room was impressing. Wireless connection dropped out several times, but you do not need it in such a wonderful place.
Breakfast was "basic Italian". Fresh juice and dolce would have been welcomed.
- Nancy (10/5): - WOW! I never thought that Rome had anything like this. If you want pure relaxing time this place is amazing. There is a pool, however it was cold for me lol. In Italy they don't cover their pools as we do. The food was awesome, the staff was so accommodating. It was like being in the country way up, just beautiful. This will be a definite stop for us again but not just for 2 days, more like 1 week!!
- Charlotte (9/5): Heel fijn. Zeer behulpzaam personeel - Mooie rustige plek Geen idee
- Carmelo (7/5): Not going back - The gardens The employee that received us was rude
- Josée (10/5): - I Michele always helpful anything we ask we got and the place as so much history quiet and safe
- Timothy (10/5): - We stayed at Parco delle Nazioni - Relax Grand Resort because of its convenience to my daughter´s wedding at nearby Castello di Decima. I loved the rural ambience so close to downtown Rome. The Manager Peter and assistant manager Michael couldn´t have been kinder and more accomodating. We truly enjoyed every moment at the property.
- Antonio (8/5): -
- Jill (10/5): - Wow what a wonderful stay! We absolutely loved our stay at Parco Delle Nazioni. The grounds are beautifully kept, a little castle on a hill in the Italian countryside! The staff, Peter and Miguel, were so friendly and helpful. They truly took the best care of us. It felt as though we had the place to ourselves. The outdoor pool was great, lots of loungers. Our room was very nicely decorated with antique furniture and lots of charm. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked great! They offered dinner at the resort, which made our final stay in Rome perfect! Traditional Italian food and great wine under the stars on the terrace. What a dream. The resort is outside of Rome and is secluded and quiet. If you are planning to go into Rome and see the sights, I would suggest a rental car, as the taxi's and uber can be expensive from here. (75 EUR to the airport) This was our final night in Rome, so we had already done the busy city center and this was a great way to end our trip in Italy. A very nice resort with everything you need to relax and enjoy!

- Alma (6/5): B&B not a grand resort - Must have a car. 4 gates to enter. Place is beautiful but more of a bed and breakfast not a grand resort. Did not see that room pictured to the left. No grand entrance. Breakfast ok. We did not have a car. Charge 10 euros per hour extra to enter premises after 10pm. Had to call a number for entrance.
- Brigitte (6/5): - The property is lovely and well maintained but the gates are absurd and inconvenient.
- Stephanus (9/5): Wonderful Stay away from the City crowds - What a wonderful place, far away from city crowds (you will need a car). Comfortable rooms in a very special setting, great views, refreshing swimming pool. Breakfast was a nice spread of food. On the way to dinner we spotted a herd of wild boar. Showers a bit small, but manageable
- Dalia (8/5): - This property is great to get away from hustle and bustle as it’s pretty far from much else in Rome.
- Retta M (10/5): - This peoperty was perfect for me. First, the setting was so relaxing. After a long hard day of sightseeing the sites,9 it was nice to come back to a beautiful private oasis. The staff was like family, caring and helpful. It was a peaceful home away from home.
- Helmut (5/5): Passable - The view Access was terrible
- Sacha (6/5): - Well kept and nicely landscaped. Great of you are looking for Tuscan looking like views. Our room was super small, nothing special but had nice air conditioning. Nothing luxury about this place. Staff is working hard. Nice place but not to return in the future.
- Maria (6/5): - Beautiful retreat but difficult to get to! Licked gates not opening locals had to help us even though we emailed said we were running late, they replied that they were waiting but all gates locked!! Even when we made it to the top we blared our car horn — nothing ! Had to go back and luckily a local called for us — dirt road full of holes be careful if car is rented!
Reserved for 2 adults 2 children — only one queen bed in our suite & the sofa did not pull out! We asked to change rooms they declined even though there were only 2 couples there.
Pool was full of bugs and did not look inviting dont know where the dolphin are????
Wine was great but dinner not so much
The resort is far away from everyone we had hoped to go to Cine Cita that they say is 6 minutes away— it takes a good 5 -10 minutes just to get off the property and through the gates!
Airport is 25 minutes away with no traffic.
- Maria (10/5): - Everything exceptional
- Mircea (9/5): Superb - There were plenty of possitive points like: the complex was very nice, looked like an old small fortress on top of a hill. Quiet location and impressive view over the surroundings. Very nice and helpfull staff. the acces road...
- Anonymous (7/5): Lovely but no Restaurant - Beautiful property.. lovely gardens and pool No restaurant at all ! No bar as such but you can get beer and Prosecco if you ask .
The listing of a restaurant should be removed , its misleading
- Elliott (10/5): - Excellent experience all round. Most accommodating!
- Smith (7/5): Good - The staff was really friendly and nice. I didn’t like that it didn’t have working on Wi-Fi. I didn’t like that it didn’t it was hard to get to. But the scenery of those beautiful.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Beautiful property- well maintained. Amazing views. Very secluded- great for relaxing before long flights. With airport access within 30 minutes. Nice Italian breakfast. Restaurant available for dinner. The rooms were decorated in an old world decor with a comfortable king bed. Definitely a castle feel!
- William (10/5): Amazing stay - Amazing stay
- ALICIA (10/5): - It's hard to get in out without your own rental car and plus two gates for safety reason. It's too far from the city if you take Taxi costs a lot, one way is almost 100 euro. But it's a beautiful landscape and peaceful away from the noise. I would come back here if I have my car to drive around. Friendly staff.
- Cynthia (10/5): Italian paradise - This was the most beautiful spot. Delicious food and top tier service
- serene (10/5): - It was amazing definitely will return next time for a couple days instead of 1 but was an absolute dream our last night in rome
- Babak (10/5): - This property is located in a very beautiful, green and quiet suburb of Rome. It's actually a very beautiful ancient Roman building turned into a small cozy resort. Astonishing eye catching memorable scenery. When you look out of the windows, you see almost the same view that Julis Caesar looked at every morning and when having breakfast in the lobby, you feel you're dining with the knights at a medieval Italian castle.
it's protected by three huge gates and is safe. Peter, Miguel and other staff are amazingly helpful. It's a little bit of drive to downtown Rome so you'd better rent a car. I strongly recommend it to those who want to experience the glory of Rome and quietness of an Italian rural suburb at the same time.
- Jacob (10/5): - Peter and Miguel were very hospitable. The staff at the propery work extremely hard and it shows in everyway. Very clean rooms and dining area. Friendly dogs and cats roam the property.Truly a dream to visit.
The breakfast was delicious, but if you choose to go else where. The drive is 15-20 minutes into the city.
The rooms were cleaned daily and made the stay relaxing.
A countryside stay for sure, I would recommend to anyone.
- Gaziz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marilyn (10/5): - Beautiful property and fabulous staff!
- Frances (9/5): Superb -
- Jamie (2/5): - Besides the fact that no one is around, it’s like Fort Knox getting in or out. The staff was not friendly.
One breakfast was served, I stayed 2 days .
Before you leave they require paying them $10 per day city tax , I had to give him $20 euros cash or they hold you hostage, the have to open gates
I later looked for the tax and apparently it was 5 euros per day?
Nobody told me when I initially paid for the room!
I won’t be back.
- Gonnie (8/5): Great place to visit Rome! - An extraordinary accommodation in the middle of a national park! Great place to visit Rome and come back in a very relaxing area. Lots of respect for the multi talented Dimitrio! The room description (Suite) said the room would have a bath, which is not the case. The drains would smell a bit.
- Jane Kelli (10/5): Wild and wonderful! - This is a lovely remote resort perfect for nature lovers or those eager for a quiet retreat. The hotel was built 100 years before Christ...so you can imagine how special this place might be. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Dinner and bar are on request, so not readily available. And, one word of caution...make sure to read all details, as you must go through 4 locked gates to get to the property. Make sure to call ahead with your schedule, otherwise you might wait a while at the main gate. Property is about 2 miles into the forest and you do not see the beautiful entrance until you reach the last gate. On our journey in...we saw a family of wild boar with a little baby. It was adorable. One day were saw sheep being herded and another morniing a hunter on horseback. As I said...remote and wonderful. Enjoy! Kelli from Florida
- Michele (10/5): - Beautiful property just outside the main city of Rome. Fresh air and beautiful nature surround you. Recommend as a hotel to rest after you arrive after a long flight or just about to leave for a long flight. They have a beautiful orange cat that roams the property.
- Leonardo (10/5): - Extraordinary place and hospitality.
- Leonardo (10/5): - Pedro and Miguel are exceptional hosts. The property is beautiful.
- Olga (10/5): - It was a good size room , pretty clean , and comfortable.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good - Beautiful venue and very peaceful. Staff fantastic and great pool area Poor access to food/drink. Very secluded so u must have car otherwise taxi very expensive. Lots of gates into area
- Cara (8/5): A fascinating and isolated spot - This was a unique and fascinating place to stay a night before flying home from the Rome airport. It’s beautiful and quiet — but as others have mentioned it is accessed down a very long and bumpy private road. It’s not really a resort with a full restaurant so dinner and breakfast options are limited. But the setting for dinner was gorgeous!
- Sanja (9/5): Superb -
- Marta (4/5): Disappointed - People was great but a terrible infestation of ants and a horrible sewage smell from the shower. Plus not happy about not being informed about a daily €10 tourist tax.
- Ida (8/5): Great scenery, dedicated and warm staff on this beautiful, calm place with long historical roots. - The ads doesnt do this place justice, it is even more beautiful than the pictures.
Perfect place to restore the batteries after days walking around in the city of Rome. Before we went we had read bad critiques on the breakfast, but we were superhappy with the varied selection. We tried out some of the restaurants close to the resort, which was a pleasant surprise. Due to the remote location it would have been practical with a better restaurant and even a bar at the site, Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.
Wegaanduiding is oké.
- Franesa (8/5): - Very beautiful yet remote property. Located on a nature preserve, very idyllic and rich history. Staff were wonderful. Peter the manager is the only English speaking staff member onsite. You can reserve dinner at the property and the food was excellent. Breakfast could use some variation. They are very accommodating at the resort.
The only con is the inconvenience of the location and numerous security gates. Three gated points that you must be checked through make travel difficult. There is no way to bypass the gates if on a walk through the property. Walking the roads can be tricky. My husband got locked out while on a walk and only was able to get through when a car came through. Always have your phone and the numbers for the resort on hand in case you get locked out between these gates. I really wish there were passage doors near the gates for those of us who like to freely walk. Otherwise feels isolated and like a prison.
Road up to property is grated and rutty. Taxi drivers seemed very put out to have to drive to this location. If we were to come again, we would make sure to rent a car. Taxis charges are very arbitrary amounts to and from points in this area. Many taxis do not use their meters and take advantage of the unsuspecting Americans.
- Zeynep (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ It is a pity we spent only one night in Parco delle Nazioni.
It is very close to city and outlet.A heaven to rest in the evening. Also a great local restaurant just by the hotel
- Carl (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was nice and helpful very small menu at the restaurant,
Spiders and bugs in the room
- Kristina (10/5): - Fantastiskt vackert område och omgivning, mycket fina rum, välstädat och mysig restaurang och fin service. Rekommenderas varmt!
- Victor (10/5): - We really loved and enjoyed our stay. This place is very unique with a lot of historical features. Definitely recommend it.
- Kevin (10/5): - This property is a just amazing. It is an experience, just a beautiful getaway and the staff is so accommodating.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good - The location Breakfast limited choice
- Gerald (10/5): - Parco delle Nazioni is an absolutely beautiful resort! The staff is 2nd to none by the service level they all provide! We LOVED this place!!
- Teemu (8/5): Interesting place - A bit difficult to reach because of the three iron gates. Nice experience. I could go again.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - This location is amazing! Beautiful grounds, scenery, food (dinner is amazing, make sure you let Peter, the owner know you wish to dine in the morning), and Miguel is so kind and helpful!
We felt we had been transported to another time when it came to the service. Miquel greets you when you have breakfast and dinner and is very attentive to your needs.
Peter the owner is so charming and genuinely interested in his guests and was ready with advice if needed.
The hotel is around a 25 minute drive from downtown Rome in a secluded park. There is public transport nearby but the driveway is a good walk from the main road so either a car or a taxi would work better for some.
A perfect oasis, we didnt want to leave!
- Graham (6/5): Pleasant -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, very nice room - Lovely place, beautiful landscape, nice staff, good breakfast (some additional condiments, like cheese etc., would add).
Add intercom to gates.
Increase light at bathroom.
- Deb (5/5): Disappointing especially with inadequate food available on site makes you minimise your stay. - Called a grand resort but the only resorty thing was the pool. Limited access to dining room which was the only room to view of the period to get a feel for being so old. Other rooms unavailable to view due to occupancy so could not really see what the older components of the original structures were like. Local views were good. Wifi worked well. Breakfast the worst of 14 days in Italy with no variety and very limited selection. No cereals either. Must be a dog care facility across the valley that that had incessant dog barking early morning and into early evenings. Very limited offers through the restaurant (served by one person who seemed to double as waiter/chef) and hence most guests seem to leave early to avoid breakfast and return late due to site restaurant being inadequate. Access to the premises is via multiple locked gates (as a locked park) with not much info given out as to alternative ways out of the park. As remote, nearest alternative dining (either breakfast or dinner) is 15 minutes drive away. Only resort facilities are the pool and free bike hire but a major to ride anywhere so not a feasible option.
- Lee (9/5): Gorgeous Historical Property - This property is absolutely stunning with old world charm and history at every turn! The grounds are kept impeccably with gorgeous flowers and Ivy everywhere and it was so quiet and peaceful! The views were tremendous! We loved it. The Taxi drivers in Rome did not like leaving the city limits to drive us back to the resort and made it very difficult and would charge more money. This area also requires large metal doors to be opened and close to let you in to get access to the property. This was difficult not having our phones roaming and no Wi-Fi and the cab driver would need to call the resort to open the doors. Further upsetting the cab drivers.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Mr Peter and staff were exceptional Nothing
- Jeroen (9/5): Super weekend - we will be back! - Great staff, great location, great facilities (pool, gardens), great views. Peter and Michael and his wife (?) were exceptional hosts. This property provides peace and tranquillity, just 30m from Rome. The restaurant has limited choice
- Verified traveler (8/5): Country Elegance & Charm - Rare and unique oasis outside of Rome. To enjoy it the most you need a car as the entry point from road to the hotel is quite far. You will be surrounded by nature and in terms of the style and buildings, you will feel like royalty. This is country elegance with great staff support that makes you feel at home.
- David (7/5): We met a great couple’s made new friends. - Location is off the beaten track, as was suspected by the manager to rent a car was crucial. But don’t expect normal amenities, very historic. I am more used to regular type hotels, no in room coffee maker, no microwave, some of the pics on website are misleading, the gates are a bit much. But I’m sure I stayed in an authentic place.
- Beata (10/5): - Nice hotel and good staff
- John (10/5): - What a fantastic history, grounds, buildings, everything describes old world charm and elegance while quiet and calming. Did not believe placed like this still existed.
- Paula (10/5): - Amazing relaxing place to stay , beautiful surroundings and great helpful staff , loved it !!!
- Georges (9/5): Authentic and resourceful domain - The swimming pool surrounded by Olive trees
The history of the domain and the fact that it is in a reserve
The authentic style of the hotel and the rooms It wasn't obvious that the domain is an a natural reserve, and that we need to call to open a barrier when we get to the entrance of the natural reserve
The shower in our bathroom was small
- C. Nicole (10/5): - The property was exquisite. The staff attentive, hospitable and friendly. Loved the history of the property. Loved it!
- David (7/5): Good - The hilltop location was excellent Parking area was limited and partly on a steep cobbled slope
- Kaisense (10/5): Exceptional - The place is beautiful and the view amazing!
Mycket serviceminded personal. /Patrik
- Garm (9/5): This is a tranquil and beautiful place to enjoy quiet and the Roman countryside - It was a very good experience. The staff was welcoming, informative, immensely helpful and kind. The food was of a good high standard and well prepared. The setting is nothing short of gorgeous.
- carla chapa (10/5): - ES UN LUGAR MAGICO, TIENE UNA ENERGIA INCREIBLE, EL PERSONAL SUPER ATENTO, LAS VISTAS ESPECTACULARES . INCREIBLE. LASTIMA QUE NO NOS QUEDAMOS MAS TIEMPO
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (8/5): Comfortable, natural beauty. - Historic and beautiful atop a hill in nature preserve. We had dinner down the hill at Antico Casale, a delicious establishment, the bell hop was kind enough to drive us in his own car. An older property, which could use some cleaning and updating, but it’s beautiful!
- Justinas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant - Hystorical Amazing asset in the countryside No room service, poor cleaning, no cafeteria available.
Connection is a serious issue.
- Madi (10/5): Exceptional - Mr. Peter is a kind man who is ready to help anytime.
The location is perfect for friendly and quiet vacation with evening promenades on beautiful park.
There were a couple of very nice horses 🐎.
Not so far from Castel Romano outlet.
And there were 4 cats which 3 of them are very friendly. 1. mosquitoes.
2. spider web on the ceiling
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The history of this property is amazing!
- Serena (9/5): Superb -
- George (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Italy - Outstanding - I loved everything about the property. It's historic. It's well maintained. It was in a perfect location, allowing me short drives to historical and cultural sights. Very peaceful with ample space to relax. Pool is fabulous. Dinner meals were delicious and well presented. Best of all, the service from everyone at the property was friendly and caring. Michael, who does everything, always with a smile, friendly and right on time. Peter (General Manager) was the best. He made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and was very peronable. I particularly enjoyed his stories about the resorts history and his life in Italy. I will bring my family back soon. I loved this historic resort and the people and the food. I was lucky enough to stay in the 10th Century tower room. It was spacious and beautiful, but be ready for a few stairs. They offer other beautiful rooms that are ground level. I loved the tower room.
- Gregory (10/5): - This is a special place. We loved it. Dinner was great with excellent service. And it’s close to the airport which makes it a great place to stay before your flight out. Will definitely stay here again.
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jegors (9/5): Superb -
- Bonnie (9/5): perfect - lovely everything
- Ondrej (9/5): Superb - Hidden calm place with lots of wonders surrounded by beautiful relaxing nature. Very authentic with nice staff. And by staff I mean the nice old gentleman at the reception and multi function waiter who did all other positions in here which was fascinating. The breakfast was not the best but decent. We missed jamon and cheese but I would describe us as demanding customers. We enjoyed our time here and were advised of a nice restaurant nearby. This place was family-like, a good value for money and a nice escape from the rush in Rome. We can recommend it.
