• Verified traveler (2/5): - The wifi did not work, the lighting was user-unfriendly, and the A/C had problems. It took a staff person 3 hours to come and then fix things. We lost an entire afternoon waiting for service. This company is not set up to succeed. It calls itself a hotel but functions more like an Airbnb with no one around to manage property issues that may come up. I would not recommend this place. They didn’t make any offer to compensate us for the problems we had and the time loss it caused us. A real disappointment!

• Suzy (4/5): - I initially booked the hotel thinking that it was in one location which seemed really close to the Duomo. My main interest was the location yet where they had the address was the location of their check in counter & office. The rooms are scattered around the center of Milan and the one we stayed was quite a distance to walk to Duomo and other tourist attractions. The room was not cool at all depite having a loud air-conditioning running the whole time. The beds were too soft, wobbly and mattress seemed old. Quite a dissapointing stay overall.

But we were very glad the apartment had air conditioning. Note: our apartment building had no elevator. We would stay again.

• Emma (8/5): - The best location, nice, clean and spaceful room. Very very nice and helpful staff. We arrived at 10pm and the gentleman at reception was very helpful at check-in and checkout. However, very very disappointed about the so called "included breakfast". The only food for our (4 people) breakfast was four tiny pieces of biscuits, four finger size pieces of peanut bread sticks, some instant tea bags and instant coffee, two bottle water. Very disappointed that they claimed the above as "breakfast"!!! Further, they charge euro20 for cleaning fee which is not usual as other hotels.

• Kevin (6/5): Hemeras Not-So-Boutique - Initially when we were searching for accommodations, Hemeras Boutique Apart-Hotel stood out because of the beautiful pictures. But be warned, they own a number of rooms around Milan so you need to know which one you are renting. Upon arriving to Milan Linate airport, we had to take a cab which cost about 20 euros to the Hemeras office. We had to go to the head office to get the keys and then walk about a block with our bags to the place we were staying at. If you have heavy bags, be warned that some of the accommodations have no elevator and narrow staircases so be ready to carry them. After checking in, the accommodations were ok, it was clean and there were bottles of water and a few snacks provided. The area we were in seemed sketchy but I guess many of Milan’s side streets look that way. There was one restaurant open about a block away and we were lucky since it was so late. We did feel safe being in the building because there were 2 sets of locked doors at the entrance to get into the building. Overall, if we had to visit Milan again, I think we would book a hotel that was closer to the main square with more restaurants nearby.

Im übrigen bleibt man in der gut ausgestatteten Wohnung unbehelligt, d.h. man hält die Wohnung selbst sauber und kümmert sich um Kaffeekapseln für die Kaffeemaschine sowie alle sonstigen Zutaten. Erstaunt waren wir, als jemand tagsüber die Wohnungstür mit einem Schlüssel öffnete, als wir in der Wohnung waren. Der Mann war ebenfalls verblüfft und verschwand mit seinem Koffer sofort, als ich die Türe aufmachte. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

• Mark John (8/5): Perfect Location - Location is perfect, however, this Milan Penthouse apartment close to the cathedral would not suit friends sharing as there are no private bedrooms. It only has one bed and two sofa beds. Only suitable for couples or young families but not toddlers due to stairs and steps. I’ve no regrets in booking this and would recommend this accommodation and also stay here again. I hope the photos help understand the multi-level layout.

However the check in was very difficult and really working to their needs rather than mine and leaving meetings to then wait 40 minutes for them to turn up. Also the noise from the square was very loud until 12:30 and then at 5am the restaurant below decided to empty the glass recycling into another bin, so I was awake.

Beds and pillows were not really comfortable, sofa bed was very bad so we had to close it and I slept on the carpet. Shower in the bath tub was situated in the middle on the wall without anything to protect water from spilling on the floor, was really badly designed but the rest was okay. People taking care of the place were very good and tried helping us as much as they could.

The wifi did not work on the day of our arrival which is not good because tourists rely on free wifi everywhere they go, and there is no land line in the apartment to call for help! The office is not in the same building so we had to make multiple visits there, we finally got a replacement the next morning, which was a big relief! My husband said he would rather stay in a hotel, but I love the location, it is within walking distance to Duomo!
• Nina (2/5): False advertising - The property in no way or manner matched the pics advertised. I did notice that the management owns more than one apartment, and I assumed - falsely so - that it would be in the same building or have the same standard. This apartment was more of a 1 star facility. The advertisement was all false, and I wonder why Expedia doesn’t regulate with more care. I’d recommend looking into a “real” hotel and never again go with hotel apartment options. There was no sofa bed, rather a cot, and air conditioner barely cooled the room. It was a big let down. It is a scam. No compensation at all was offered. I’m not sure how in the world any of the reviews give high ratings ... I believe the management posts false comments to boost the ratings.

But, we hadn't water in the penthouse at the first day and the air conditioning didn't work, so we had 27 C in the master bedroom. The maintenance staff couldn't help. Overall, this not a hotel in so good standard as you can see in the pictures. Be aware of what you book and what you get once you are on place.
• Ali (2/5): Horrible Experience - Never Again! - We stayed with Hermeras twice on our recent trip to Milan and according to the booking instructions they are supposed to notify us of the check-in details prior to our arrival. I sent a message asking them what the process was and there was no response. I called Expedia twice to learn that Herneras would send me the details two days before my arrival and that someone will be at the property from the check-in time until midnight. We arrived and no one was there. After traveling from Toronto to Milan overnight, we were left standing outside on the sidewalk with all of our luggage, trying to call the company. They said someone would be there in a couple minutes. A couple minutes later someone arrived but they weren’t there to let us in. They were there to clean and prepare the room. Ten minutes later after calling them again, someone finally arrived. For our second stay, they sent an email before our arrival asking for details 2 days prior to our arrival and another confirmation 20 prior to our arrival. I sent them the two emails as requested and when we arrived at 3pm (check in is st 2), they were on the phone calling the cleaning staff to start cleaning/preparing the room. They said that we have to wait 20 minutes because the room isn’t ready. In the end, we had to get another smaller/inferior room because 20 minutes had passed and they were still saying 20 minutes....all they offered was a European breakfast to compensate, but only after significant complaining!
• Adrienne (10/5): Amazing apartment and great location! - This apartment is absolutely perfect! It is extremely spacious and accommodated my family of 5 very well. The apartment is very well appointed and I would highly recommend staying here. The location is a short walk to the Duomo, but is in a great location with a very local feel to the neighbourhood. If you walk in the other direction you are a short walk to the “Little Venice” of Milan. I would definitely stay here again.

• Jerah (6/5): Surprised it wasn't better - This place appears to be a hotel, but it's actually more like Airbnb -- they set you up in apartments they operate. You have lots of room and a kitchen. The location was close to everything. The place was pretty clean. But the problems started upon arrival. They took us to our apartment, but it wasn't clean yet when we walked in. They didn't give us a remote for a AC for the first day/night, so the apartment was hot and uncomfortable. The WiFi was spotty, showing errors about as often as it worked. The toughest part is that the apartments aren't on top of their office, so there's technically no front desk to help you. We wouldn't stay with them again.

Any problems? It is very difficult to solve. Before signing for paying city taxes, They promise anything. Not yours.
• Amy (10/5): Clean, comfy, and close to everything. - This property is within walking distance of most of the major attractions, and it is easy to reach mass transit if you have a need to go further outside the city for anything. The staff is extremely helpful, and will arrange tours, etc. for you, as well as transportation. The complimentary water, coffee, and tea are a nice touch. The area is slightly off the main thoroughfares, so noise is at a minimum. Wi-fie service is a little weak in the back bedroom, and you may not be able to connect from there.

• Bora (6/5): disappointment in the heart of Milan Duomo - they just tidy up the room. They do not clean the house even just for a single day. This is unbelievable, and important if you have a child with you and if you are allergic to dust.
• James (6/5): Big room, great location, bad check-in - This hotel(service apartment like Air BNB) is not a hotel, it's someone apartment. It located at the city center with 5 mins walk to Duomo. Room was very big with a kitchen. However, the check-in place and the room is quite distance. It took 15 mins walk from check in point to the apartment. I do not recommend this property for those who only stay for short period.

• Cynthia (10/5): Beautiful Milan apartment - Georgeous apartment, very clean, very comfortable! Communication with the staff was great, checking was easy and convenient. Perfect location in the heart of the Milan shopping district and three minutes from the Duomo. Loved the extras in the bathrooms and kitchen.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Short Stay in Milan for a Family - In terms of Service at the office 2 doors down (as it is outside the apartment), the Location (within 300m of the Duomo without the noise), the Internet Connection, and the cleanliness of the room, it was almost perfect. I was in a 2-bedroom apartment and it was a little bit inconvenient that you have to go to the first room to enter the second room (it has no separate entrance) but it was good as the children's bedroom. The single bathroom is very tight and they even enclosed it in this all-angle shower type enclosure so forget raising your elbows as you will hit the sides of it already (and I only weigh 80kg. or 170lbs.) There is a washer but no dryer so not a good idea to wash clothes. But as a first time visit to Milan, it is a highly recommended apartment for a family of four as you will already be almost in the middle of the main attractions and within short distance of the rest including restaurants or supermarkets.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Massive let down - Check in took about 10-15 mins, I wouldn’t normally mind but there was only us there! The guy walked us over, and while we struggled with the key he just stood there playing on his phone, once inside he took a phone call. The room itself was noisy, even with the shutters closed it wasn’t very dark. And after going to the loo in the night, barefoot I had to clean my feet before getting back into bed as the floor was so dirty! The bathroom was very unappealing, so much so, neither of us showered for 2 days!! Other than a good location I don’t have anything positive to say about it sadly. Definitely not worth the £100 a night we paid!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, spacious & comfortable, good value - The staff were absolutely charming, friendly, professional, helpful and very flexible with my check-in time. The room was very comfortable, clean, spacious and superbly located. My main criticisms are that 1) this particular flat (via dell'Unione, 8) was quite noisy, as the window, despite being shut tight, overlooked a street with loud traffic late into the night; 2) the bathroom needs updating: the bathtub wall should be tiled, because it gets wets from the shower and the paint is peeling, and the shower head needs replacing, because the water splatters; and 3) Hemeras should not sell this room as "breakfast included" when this consists of a couple of packs of biscuits. Apart from that, I was very pleased with the room.

Had the smallest shower I have ever encountered. And that is coming from an European! Poor lighting near to no storage in bathroom. • Verified traveler (4/5): Not what I was expecting at all - I booked many time hotels via Expedia and I know not to expect to have a room like in the images shown on the hotel page but this time is not even the same hotel/apartment or even the same building, not even close. It was a ok kept apartment probably from the 1970's but nothing like the super modern design apaarment In the hotel page in Expedia. On top to check in you have to go to and not very friendly real estate agency that don't really care about anything except getting there money.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - TERRIBLE INTERNET - The apartment is in a great spot and central to everything in Milan, but I had a lot of work to do at night and the internet would either continually drop out or was totally non existent. Might not be a worry to most travellers but when you are traveling for business and paying decent money you expect all of these facilities to work. The building front door key snapped off in the keyhole and no one replied to my message so I was without a front door key for most of my stay too. Very disappointing
• Lynne (8/5): Location fantastic. - I stayed in the apartment on via Torino. It is just down the street from the Duomo. A kitchen with washing machine. Lots of tea and coffee with machine also kettle. Complimentary biscuits and 4 bottles of water in the fridge. Cleaning came everyday. A table area and raised bed. Staff checking in and cleaning were great. WiFi was not that great, but if you really need it, the office is just around the corner. Don't plan on playing online games or streaming. The shower is very small, if you are a big person this might be difficult. That being said I would stay here again. Location so good.
• Tuan (10/5): Excellent boutique chain - Excellent group of young guys who are very professional and customer service oriented manage a chain of these appartments around the Milan area. The rooms are great, clean and very detail in little amenities for the room. Very happy with 2 separate rooms that we stay in Milan. strongly recommended.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Not top notch, but good value. - Check in / out is fairly simple, if you know where to go. It is usually not at the apartment, but at an office a block away. Location is very central in Milan, a couple of blocks and walking distance from everything. We did have a few bugs in the apartment, cleaning can be improved.

Our flight was changed and they were extremely helpful and understanding with our late check in. When we arrived Pedro was waiting outside the apartment and was extremely nice and helpful! • Verified traveler (8/5): Fantastic, clean location - I stayed in the Via Lupetta 1 property. It was a great size, very clean, and excellent location less than 5 minutes from the Duomo. The bed was comfortable and shower was nice. The best, and unexpected, part of the apartment was a balcony with a couple chairs - no view, but still a nice place to sit even in the rain since it had a large umbrella. While I would stay there again, there were a couple minor issues that prevented me from giving a full 5 stars. First, service before I arrived was more complicated than necessary. I had to make 4 calls to confirm my "late" arrival; all in all I spent $5+ on international calls just to receive an SMS with an address that could/should have been in the email confirmation - and despite my "late" arrival there were still 3 people in the office, so it didn't even seem necessary that I let them know I would be late. In the apartment there were a few minor things that could've been fixed - the metal window shades on both large bathroom windows did not work so I just had to hope/trust that the thin fabric curtains were not totally see-through. Similarly, though this may have been a positive given the window situation, the lighting in the bathroom was exceedingly dim - and the dark tile didn't help. In sum, nothing major but several little annoyances.

• Alex sydney (2/5): Pricing is totally wrong! - Booked through Expedia for a price of $146AUD then was told by the hotel guy that the price is €250. Almost triple the price! He didn't agree and told me to go find another hotel! Not the best thing to be told after a long flight and having an extremely tiring day! Would not recommend this place at all!
• Marco (2/5): Don't stay here!! Choose ANY other hotel - I don't usually give bad reviews, but this was an exceptionally bad experience for my wife And I! The air conditioner did not work, it was 32 degrees in the apt, And to Pay 130 euros for a room with no air And a reeeeeally reeeeeally small shower is discouraging. When I called The hotel to Tell them about The air they Were rude And didnt even bother to help me out with it.
• Bin (10/5): - It's a nice lovely apartment near the center of Milan. Great location and it's just mins away from Duomo. The room is spacious and clean, check-in/check-out staffs are very friendly. One of the fastest wifi i experienced in my trip.
• Fausto (6/5): New formula for accomodation in Milan - Lights and shadows. Attractive rates. The staff is vey polite and professional. Room was well equipped, very clean, free snacks, nice fornitures, great position. On the other side, personnel is not on side, since they have apartments in different places. You need to take appointments by phone if you need them. Shampoo and shower gel were missing. One day the breakfast didn't arrive
• Susan (10/5): Very Nice Place, not a hotel but an apartment. - This place was very nice. It's actually a small apartment vs. a hotel. It was a good change from the other places we stayed during our trip to Italy. Andreas was kind and spoke English very well. This place was very close to the city center and the Duomo. The bed was comfortable, there was a Nepresso plus some pastries and juice for breakfast. In general, I thought this place was good. It was a bit loud at night given the location but otherwise no issues.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good option to stay in Milan - After the online confirmation, I received call from the hotel that the apartment I booked is not available due to some problem with the flat. Thus, they proposed another one to me at via Paolo da Cannobio. As my flight arrive very early at 06:30 in the morning, they allowed me to leave my lugguage in their office and Vincenzo has been so helpful to help me deliver my lugguage to the apartment so I don't need to rush back to their office before it closes. The flat is exactly the same as it shown on the stock photos. Location is good, though on a quite street, it is just few minutes walking from Duomo or 1 tram stop away. Facilities are new and well equipped; Smart TV, automatic environment control system, cooking ware and washing machine are all provided. The only problem which was indeed quite big was hot water supply. It stops after few minutes and in winter, this has caused me much inconvenience. The problem was not solved through out the 5 days I stayed there. Actually, the rate of the two apartments as offered by Hotel.com were different. The one I finally got was a bit lower than the one I paid for but they replied no refund on the difference. Besides, luggage storage in their office after check out was unreasonbly high, it was quoted at 50euro per day for 3 days with 1 day as discount due to the fact that I'm their customer. Not a really good hospitality you would expect.

• Richard (6/5): Better for longer-term stays. - Remember, this is NOT a hotel...you must arrange to obtain key...so as not to be left standing in the street. Nice enough little apartment, and very friendly and helpful staff.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Studio apartment in Milan - Wonderful efficiency studio apartment in central Milan. Very clean and comfortable, with a neat little kitchenette. Big comfy bed, nice bathroom. Easy to get to from the subway. The only catch is that it's not a hotel but an apartment, so you have to arrange to meet with the friendly "front desk guy" at a specific time for both check-in and check-out. That might not work for everyone, but if it works for you you'll enjoy staying here.
