Staff very friendly and attentive. Room clean with bottled water daily but needed to ask for toilet paper. Breakfast was included in our room booking and buffet provided was sufficient for our needed with excellent coffee. we had dinner at the hotel x 2 which was reasonably priced and tasty. The personnel were very kind and welcoming, and helped us with everything, including baggage storage, laundry service etc. We slept in a 3-bed room, which was clean and satisfied our needs perfectly. Outside the room a cozy outdoor area was available, and other parts of the hotel was also very nice. The breakfast in the morning was simple, but the taste was very good.

The staff (especially the manager) are very friendly, informative and helpful. There was a good selection of different foods for breakfast. The beautiful tiles, pictures and prayer flags add to it's charm. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy.

We were also offered a guided tour to Nagarkot and two UNESCO sites for a very fair price and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend for all types of travellers. -

- Jack (10/5): Best hotel in Kathmandu! Comfortable, welcoming and great location - Aryatara Hotel was the best place to stay in Kathmandu! It was super comfortable and very clean. The staff and manager are so friendly and welcoming and helped with any questions we had. The breakfast was also really good. I’ll definitely stay here again! 10/10 I recommend! Nothing.

- Kim (9/5): Great hotel near Thamel - The location was perfect; next to Thamel, but very quiet. The staff was super friendly and the food really good. We left our luggage while trekking and everything was very well taken care off. The rooms were good and definitely worth the price. Some parts of the hotel were a bit outdated, but we could see that they were working on that e.g. painting the staircase.

Right next door to the wonderful Garden of Dreams, on the edge of Thamel, loads of restaurants within easy walking distance. Just no lift. Not an issue if you have good knees!

The rooms were comfortable and clean and the location was great, we were able to walk into the centre of Thamel with no problems. A little dated here and there, but it personally didn't bother me.

- Linda (9/5): Wonderful hospitality in the midst of Kathmandu - The staff were wonderful!! We were looked after so well, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The manager Megha booked tours and activities for us, and Babu looked after us in the restaurant. It was a wonderful stay, and the quiet location in Thamel was perfect! Breakfast was great, lots of options, including freshly cooked cheese omelette! N/A !

- Courtney (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed for a night in Room 407. Had arranged a pickup from the airport via the hotel and while the pickup was not seen at the airport, after contacting the hotel manager I got the pickup done. Check in was very smooth and note that there is no elevator in the hotel. My room was on 3rd level. Room was very clean & spacious and looked exactly like in the pics. Brand new aircon in the room and a very spacious bath with hot water.

- Gabi (9/5): Superb - Lovely staff. End of the quiet street. Clean functional rooms. The staff is very helpful and gracious. Not a dislike, just a note to travelers. It's an older hotel. The first room we got was facing the back of the property with a dirty pool and construction. A worker started painting the windows whoke we were in the room. (The acetone permiated inside, the hotel changed our room without any fuss and was gracious about it)
