Guest Reviews
- John (2/5): - Breakfast was restricted to egg and rice.aircon in room didnt work.
- Ann (10/5): - Clean and very accomodating.
- Myra (2/5): Worst hotel - Bad from start it's part of a mall. It had broken lift to reception so had to use stairs. Breakfast was served on the cafe in the he main mall area no menu. Room had dirty towel. Also one of the rooms we got had no bottles of water. We had kettle cups no coffee or milk. We had ants in rooms. Shower in one was dirty and the doors were dirty. Stains on socket and mold. Chair material broken stuffing showed. Rooms for rent for 3 hours this shows by conditions.
- Jennifer (6/5): Get away after Pandemic. - If you just wanted to sleep overnight. Its ok to book this hotel. Stayed for 4 nights 5 days with my Family. Please dont include breakfast in your hotel bookings its my biggest mistake. Better have your breakfast outside a lot of choices and more cheaper.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel is not comfortable and not handicap accessible. We have to rebook another hotel on the spot ,trying to get our refund it’s been 15days we’ve been back from our vacation and our money is not refunded yet.
- Allan (2/5): Avoid this hotel at all cost! - There's no heater in the shower!!! They'll tell you about it only during check-in. They gave me an excuse that it broke down just recently, but as I learned from a local Bicolano this hotel never really had any heater. And when I asked the lady receptionist what my options are, she told me to use the kettle... I was speechless.
Wi-fi rarely works in the room. You have to sit and stay in their dusty hallway to be able to use their wi-fi properly.
Doors are busted and you need to kick it so it will close and lock.
I'm never coming back.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Transit hotel. - When I arrived I was told there was no hot water available due to ongoing renovation.
Airport transportation is not available until after 8 AM.
The elevator call button was inoperative. You had to take the stairs to leave. The room floor was so dirty that you left black footprints in the white bathroom if your shoes were wet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok for short stay - Helpful staff, simple breakfast, clean room, thin walls, nice view, patchy wifi in room good in places very bad in other.
- tanya (6/5): - Was okay. The room had plenty of space.
But tv wasnt working, cable was out and we had asked multiple times for toiletries that never came.
Floor was very dusty.
Otherwise, it was close to restairants with a good view of the ocean and Mt Mayon
- frances marie (10/5): Stress free life - it was amazing because i was able to rest and spend time with my 2 kids. the view outside is amazing❤️
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Place is quite good considering its not new. Staff were accommodating. The only draw back is there is no bathroom locks.
- john (8/5): Good value - Beautiful view with good location
- Vina (6/5): 35 php for am coffee!?! Not complimentary!?! - I rented the harbor view queen suite. It’s a wonderful view. There is a 3km walk along the bay which is also terrific. Unfortunately the Embarcadero mall has contracted and not given the proper attention it is due. As for the hotel, there is a good need for painting or cleaning of the salsa and Doors on the outside of the room. I need my coffee fix in am and while they left an electric kettle, one would have to pay 35 php for a sachet of coffee or tea. First time I have seen this.
Being an engineer you certainly shake your head on the poor structural design of the building. The view is obscured by concrete columns. The elevator elevation transitions. Nonetheless you can’t beat the price and of course I love the harbor view. I would stay here again, but done expect 4 or 5 star service. It could easily be one if there is money thrown at it once again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location. Needs a little upgrading and it can meet its full potential. Lobby is on 3rd floor and they should have signs when you enter on the first floor.
- JJ (8/5): - It is like you are boarding in a ship cabin
- Jj (8/5): - Its like you are boarding in a ship cabin
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was convenient, room okay except water heater in shower not working
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent twin loft bed.. Perfect for family group of 4.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing - The rooms view are amazing
- Chris (2/5): Just all wrong and complete waste of money. - The hotel is nothing like the brochure an I mean nothing, we where in a room that was like in a dungeon know windows, that it was supposed to have, the floor was filthy after u had a shower there was a centimetre of water around the toilet that did not ever drain away 1 light didn’t work, when I went to complain they told me they were book out an nothing could be done (not even come have a look at the room). The next day talked to the same duty manger and said we were booking out she could not understand why, and then said would you like to transfer to another room, I told them to late that I had found other accommodation elsewhere, know apologies just that they don’t refund money. NOT HAPPY I would never go there again ever, not happy with hotel.com for even having that place onsite, an probably wouldn’t book back through them again either because of what happened.
- Leonila (8/5): - Pretty good!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing - Disappointed with the hotels current condition. Ceiling leaks, floor laminate on the second uneven, unsafe to walk on, dark hall way to the rooms, ants in the room. False photo on website. Hard to find. No signs to locate the Hotel and the entrance to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Uncomfortable room - The aircon is not working properly. We have to call the front desk to send someone and fix it. The door is hard to open and hard to enter the room due to limited entrance space. No complimentary bottled water available also in the room. And the room has foul smell also.
- Killy (10/5): - great hotel to be in
- nimfa (2/5): - The ambience is a total disappointment as it looks like abandoned, no greeting staff at the entrance, can't find people around except at the lobby.
As we enter the lobby, the lights are dim, though looks spacious, no people around and the smell at the entrance is stale comparable to a fish market with rotten fishes.
As we enter the room, the smell gets stronger, I looked for a window to get a better ventilation, nothing, suggested to staff to spray a freshner, nothing. We stayed for 15 min, I started to cough and couldn't breath properly because of the stale and smell in the room. I vomited following the constant coughing as if there was an irritant to my respiratory system.
I demanded full refund but only half was granted
- Nelson (4/5): Frustrated - The room is different from the picture. The actual room is not maintained well, water stains on mirrors because of aircon, cockroaches and mosquitos was there as well. The smell also is not good. People were ok
- tanya (6/5): - We checked in late. The elevator doesnt work post mall closing. We walked multiple flights of stairs and into what looks like the back stairs - dirty and dingy in the middle of a downpour.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel staffs are nice. The location is near to the landmarks and accessible. It’s just that the location of my room has no reception. The shower room door is wrecked. Spider webs on furnitures and ants just coming out from somewhere.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ants in the room. Just didn't feel clean - Overall a bad place. Roofs leaked and bugs in the rooms.
- Francis (8/5): - No airport transfer
- Ellisha (8/5): - Embacadero is good for the price. The hotel had working hot and cold showers which can be hard to find in the area. My first room had been renovated, but my second room was a bit tired. It is hard as the area gets hit by typhoons regularly and the last one was only 4 months earlier. In my first room, it was the smaller standard single room, it was nice but the walls were very thin and you could hear everything from the adjacent room. The next room which was an upgrade, I didn't encounter this problem, but I am not sure if anyone was in the rooms next door.
The only real incident was that the cable was out for 2 days and they could not tell me when it was going to be fixed.
The area is within walking distance to the boulevard and to the legazpi city malls if you like a stroll around town. So its quite a convenient location with available transport. However the actual complex does not have any real shops and limited food options. This could be either due to the earlier typhoon putting some of the little shops out of business.
But over all it was convenient and well priced for me.
- Lorie (8/5): nice hotel close to mayon volcano & the beach - it was exciting ! with great views and great staffs
- Verified traveler (4/5): Older hotel - It is old and outdated. We stayed one night and went to a better hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unpleasant staff, dirty room, bad location - Terrible experience. This is definitely a hotel that is slowly going out of business and the maintenance is ignored. Pictures looked great, got there and it's unsafe, elevator doesn't work so you have to walk through a dark dungeon like hallway and staircase to get to the hotel, staff didn't know any information, the room was worn down, dirty and had tons of ants. They never cleaned our room while we were there, the towels had stains, I had to wear shoes in the room just so I felt comfortable. The mall that it's located in is out of business, sketchy and dark. Do not give them business, let them run out of it.
- Rose (2/5): Rundown Hotel - - The internet showed nice pictures but reality showed it's rundown, elevators not working. I had to go through the steep and very narrow back stairs and through dark alleyways just to get to the floor of the lobby.
For a lady like me, going up this way and carrying my luggage without anyone helping me is not just very difficult but also very scary. Good thing I just had to stay for one night.
The only redeeming fact is that there is internet working. Sorry but NEVER again will I go back to this hotel
- Peter (6/5): Near hypermarket and port - it's near hypermarket and port, verything is OK but the room space and no window.
- Liza (6/5): Affordable, But Think Twice Next Time - It was a stay you will have seconds thoughts of the next time you will book. First and foremost, there was no functioning elevator going to the third floor where the reception area is. According to the receptionist, it has not been working for more than a month already. When we got to the reception area, it does not have an aircon. An electric fan was working but mainly for the receptionist only. When you look at the wall behind the receptionist, it looked cheap as it is already dilapidated and needed some repainting and fixing. The wifi in the room was weak. If you are a Globe subscriber, signal is Emergency Calls Only in the hall where rooms 330 to 333 were located. There was no complimentary water but there are toiletries. Bath towels looked really old and washed out. Lastly, there no hot water for bathing.
- Liza (6/5): Attentive Receptionist - Receptionist was attentive in answering queries. She was able to manage to ready the room 30 minutes after our arrival. She was able to give suggestion to rather stay in the room the same floor as the reception so that we won't go up another floor anymore.
- Verified traveler (4/5): started bearable ended uncomfortable - AC was very weak the first night, was hoping it was going to pick up. I considered the fact that it is genrally hot and humid in the city so I let it be. however the second night it completely brokedown. Instead of offering a new room right away they wanted the technician to look at it first while waiting the provided a fan which was really useless because it was just circulating the hot air already in the room. There were no window for fresh air to come in, even in the lobby. They waited to offer a room when it was already too late as my child with me was already so tired and sleepy to even get up. all they can say was "sorry or pacensya na po." They couldnt even rectify the situation by providing a voucher for future use, perhaps another night stay out of the two to give as a chance of better experiencw in their hotel. There also black ants crawling on he countner, no remote for TV.
- Chad (6/5): Nice local very low cost hotel - Not a resort - This is a reasonable Very low cost hotel. Mostly a local hotel, you should not expect an international 4 star hotel. Its a good area for walking into the city center and exploring. Know what to expect - its a clean but typical Philippines city: its not a resort. I am putting this information because I saw a bunch of negative reviews, I would say they are not fair. This hotel is 1/3 the cost of the others. If you expect to pay $20 a night for a deluxe luxury hotel then you are the one with a problem, not the hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): poorly maintained hotel - the hotel is located inside a near empty "mall".
the hotel itself is poorly lit and in need of maintenance. the room needed to be repainted, the bathroom sliding doors is loose, the mirror is rusty, and the walls dry walls has crumbling parts. the A/C also has signs of rust.
the service is poor, they're obviously understaffed and not good at promptly responding to your request that you need to follow-up on it.
you have to go out to enjoy the view of Mt Mayon, in a neighborhood that is again nothing is going on.
the affordable price is the only good thing about this hotel.
I'd recommend another place.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice location but run down hotel - The hotel was in a good location overlooking the water and volcano with the Embacadero boulevard right at its doorstep. The room is spacious with comfy bed, however the inside rooms which was what I had had no daylight and the furniture in the room were run down. It probably would have been very nice when it was new.
Staff were nice and helpful but they didn't have maps or sightseeing info available at reception.
- Barb (8/5): Comfortable room but unhelpful staff - The room was very nice. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and TV with good channels. No towels in the shower though. Housekeeping staff are very friendly and kind, as well as the man I believed was the manager. Security out front are greeat as well! Very helpful!
Otherwise staff behind the front desk were as unhelpful as possible. I asked about places to eat or where to get coffee and received a laugh in response. She then said that I could go to the diner but couldn't give any info as to where it was.
Later that day I needed to call a specific taxi since I accidently left a souvenir bag in his car. No big deal since I'd been traveling with him frequently. When I asked about making the call they told me they couldn't call to a mobile number. I asked how or where I would be able to make one call but no one knew or was willing to help. I asked about pay phones but no one knew about those either. Eventually after pressing the point I was able to make a call on what I believe was a staff members cell phone. I hate being pushy but I needed my stuff and needed to go to the airport. Overall I would stay again because the room is nice for the price. Just don't expect any help from the front desk.
- Brian (2/5): Not recommended for family - When we arrived, the room was smell like a cockroach...so I asked the attendant to spray air freshener first...The Aircon is like not cooling at all takes a lot of time to cool. My kids enjoyed the Flat screen TV and the bed, the bed was too high for my kids so we need to put a lot of attention to them not to fall off the bed.
- Dorotea (4/5): - No aircon on the lobby. It was scary passing the 'mall' because it was dark
- Verified traveler (4/5): UNPLEASANT STAFF - 1ST STAFF GAVE US A ROOM NO 408 UNFORTUNATELY THE MAN WHO ASSISTED US GAVE US AROOM 330 FOR ROOM 408 IS NOT READY THEN I SAID K WILL TRANSFER LATER, I DID BUT 2ND STAFF MARCH 12,2016 SAID WE CANNOT FOR WE NEED TO PAY XTRA I SHOWED THE VOUCHER SHE INSISTED XTRA PAYMENT
IN THE EVENING 3RD STAFF ALOWED US TO TRANSFER. . HAY
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel is economical if you are looking for a good price and the purpose is just for sleeping this would be a perfect hotel for you. It is located in a nice bay area where you can easily enjoy the cool breeze during dawn or in the evening. There is not much restaurant around it, though it is directly connected to a mall already.
The cleanliness can be improved and so are the lighting of the hotel. Though it is safe I supposed, but you would not let your daughter walk alone the corridors going to your room since there are too many rooms/doors in such a small or tight corridor, and you might have thoughts of bad people suddenly pulling your daughter in one of those rooms. The rooms does not have windows for proper ventilation.
Overall, if the place is just for sleeping and taking bath, it is quite good since the water is strong and the hot water is continuous. No free bottled water though, so you need to bring your own. :D
- annabelle (8/5): - the room was good but small and there are some parts of the room that need to be painted to hide stains.
- Sonia (6/5): Could be really good - We picked this hotel because of the volcano view and a nice lady at reception changed our room so we could get this. Must have been a lovely hotel at one point but seen better days and furniture started to look a bit shabby. No hot water was our biggest gripe, poor tv signal, no breakfast facility. Staff wouldnt even allow us complimentary water for the inconvenience. Shower water brown at one point and reception staff response was that room hadnt been used for a while. Could all be so much better!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Poor service
