The location is really close to Tahir Sq and the Egyptian Museum, 30 min a taxi to pyramids We overall had a good stay

Le ménage pas au top on voit la poussière partout , y'avait aussi une mauvaise odeur dans les toilettes ils ont rien fait pourtant j'ai signalé ça plusieurs fois. Un jour ils ont pas fait le ménage dans ma chambre . Les deux derniers jours je dormait très mal y'avait des familles qu'ils sont venus avec leurs enfants ils font trop de bruit dans le couloir la journée jusqu'à tard la nuit donc c'était insupportable. Sinon c'était moyen.

It is in the middle of the greater Cairo, right between the airport and the pyramids, and next to some schools, so it’s not too loud. Great dinner as well! So grateful for this stay!

- karentD1675EJ (10/5): Good budget hotel close to everything - This is a good basic budget friendly hotel in the middle of the bustling streets of Cairo BUT as it is located on the top floor it is quiet which is great. Lovely roof terrace and super warm welcoming staff! It is 2 star so dont expect extras such as tea making facilities in the room but you are only sleeping there so who cares. We were a couple but there were actually 2 beds which was heaven and they were very comfortable. Great sleeps! Thankyou Osiris Hotel.
- isamelody (2/5): Avoid. - The room and the bathroom are terrible. Bathroom so small I can’t seat on the toilets. Shower leaks everywhere and makes the bathroom dangerous. Shower head makes it impossible to not get in without soaking bathroom. Bedroom is furnished like a bad movie from the 60’s. Mattresses are old and uncomfortable. Cleanliness is very questionable.

- John (10/5): Wonderful way to end our vacation in Egypt - The Osiris was the perfect hotel for our two day stay in Cairo: Convenient location, quiet due to being on the 12th floor, friendly staff, comfortable and clean room with a relatively new A/C unit. We loved the rooftop terrace and the cozy patio. We can certainly see why Lonely Planet recommends this hotel and why it has very good Hotels.com ratings. If we make it back to Cairo, we would stay here again and will recommend it to our friends who might travel to Egypt.

I went alone as a woman, but I also had some help the first night to check in my my Egyptian friend. I felt safe. 65 EGP for the breakfast on the roof terrasse nice! The roof terrasse is amazing and the small colourful birds! Wifi not so good, I was using my Vodafone simcard for video calls for work.

A balcony adjacent to the lobby with a couple of tables and a selectiin of books other travelers have left behind. Clean, tidy eooms. Nothing fancy. A small fridge, decent TV, and, most importanrly, A/C! Pretty small shower and hot water lasted just long enough to wash and condition my hair. BTW - no beer contrary to what was mentioned before. But nice little restaurant on lovely rooftop patio. Views were great. AND my room towards the back was quiet!! That is a miracle in downtown Cairo.

- Anoop (8/5): Good value, walkable to museum - The room was smaller than I expected, but other than that, it was clean, the bathroom was good (shower was again small), the rooftop is nice, and breakfast was okay. Great for a stop over in Cairo or for visiting the museum which is walkable from the hotel. Breakfast starts at 8, which is a bit late if you want to start your day early, and it was setup only around 8:15. For the price, it was good value.

There were lots of common areas including a great roof terrace. Breakfast was basic but only cost 66 EGP. Rooms were generally comfortable and I slept well, although overall cleanliness could be better. It's a solid choice for the budget conscious traveller.

The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and spacious (we purchased the family room so our family of 4 could all stay together and the kids appreciated having their own bed.). The beds were comfortable and our balcony overlooked Cairo. It was a little noisy and we had to walk about 10 minutes to get to the Eqyptian Museum and a metro stop but we knew that going in. The property was well priced for what you got. Would definitely stay here again if we come to Cairo.

- khanya1976 (6/5): Small but good budget hotel - If you are budget concerned, then it should be among your choices. Located on 12th floor. Small noisy lifts. Small rooms. Bed was noisy too even if you turn your side. Cleanliness not very good. I had stains on bed sheet & blanket. Small shower place in washroom which was stinky too. Breakfast was ok. Staff was good & friendly. Definitely if they consider minor details in cleanliness & improve it, it’ll be very great.

The stay could be improved by vaccuiming the floor a bit more, having a lamp next to the bed and a bit better breakfest. As european, it was really not for our taste. - amysingtravel101 (2/5): Avoid if possible - will ruin Cairo for you - We first arrived and it took about 40 minutes to go up the elevator - the hotel shares the elevator with other commercial offices. The hotel wanted to charge $30 for a cab when Uber was charging $6. The beer was $10. The breakfast food is terrible - flies everywhere. Our room was not very clean - the water stopped working for an entire day - had to brush with bottled water and not shower. The staff was bunch of greedy men who just want to make money of you. NOT SURE HOW THIS HAS A TRIP ADVISOR SEAL - THEY MUST FORCE THE GUESTS TO WRITE REVIEWS FOR THEM.

The Staff is very friendly and courteous and once we identified the issue with the room or food they promptly tried to address. The night of our departure we were checking out at 3:00 am and there was no water in washroom. The staff immediately brought us tons of water bottles to help us. For the price you paying for this budget hotel the services are not bad, plus it is close to 10 to 12 mins walk to El-Tahrir Square. The breakfast that was included in the price was not too bad. fresh falafels were super with limited continental breakfast items.

Kareem quickly sorted it out and gave us a very spacious room with a small balcony. The air conditioning worked well, as did the WiFi and there was plenty of hot water. I had some washing that needed doing and they were very happy to do thisThe roof top bar, where breakfast is also served, is quirky and a good place to wind down after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast does not start until 8, or even a bit after which was rather late if you are trying to get out early to beat the heat. However, there was plenty of selection, including some very nice falafel, Carlos did an excellent job. Overall, for a two star hotel, and considering the price we paid, it was very impressive, especially the friendly staff.

- cwhite3313 (8/5): Well worth the $28 - I couldn't believe the price of this hotel which included breakfast for 2 people. Wasn't sure hoe it would work out but decided to give it a try. The taxi driver that took us there from the airport was uncertain if we were in the right place but I recognized it from photos that I had seen online. It is a very basic hotel but was clean and tidy and we found the location pretty good. The hotel is on the 12th floor and there is an elevator to take you up. The lentil soup that they serve in the restaurant is very good.

- GuanajuatoBob (8/5): Quaint, good restaurant, good value for money - I'll give you the positives first. The place is clean, has a pleasant lobby with a reading room on the side. The restaurant on the top floor is good; this is important because the restaurant choices in the neighbourhood are limited. I had laundry done, and they did a good job for a low price. As for location, it's within walking distance of the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities and Tahrir Square. The staff is mostly very helpful, BUT... anybody who has traveled in Egypt knows that the quality of customer service varies greatly. In my case, when I was checking out, the woman at the desk told me I had to pay cash. I said, OK, no problem, where's the nearest bank machine? She said, "banks are closed on Sunday." That, of course, was a ridiculous response. Fortunately, another employee within earshot said that there was an ATM around the corner. Turned out that he was wrong, too. There are actually two ATM's a half block down the street. So no problem, but you really have to wonder, how can somebody work in a place and not be aware of where the nearest ATM is? It's important to know that the reception desk is actually on the tenth floor. This isn't an issue during the daytime, because there's a desk at the building entrance. However, if you arrive at 3:30 AM like I did, that desk will be unmanned. I had to bang on the elevator door for a while before the front desk guy became aware of my presence. The staff should really advise people of this when they book for late arrival. Finally, most taxi drivers don't know where the Osiris is. This is no surprise, because most Cairo taxi drivers don't know where anything else is, either. But be sure to have the hotel's business card with you to show the driver, and have the hotel's location on the GPS app on your cell phone.
- Nomad143980 (10/5): Great location, wonderful staff - The Osiris Hotel was wonderful. The staff was considerate, helpful, flexible, and exceptionally kind. Whatever I needed, they were incredibly helpful and very welcoming. They were never pushy! While everyone there was wonderful, I'd like to especially thank Carlos, Abed, and Mina for making my stay wonderful. (Oh, and their English was excellent.) The location was great - right in the center of everything yet quiet. The breakfast (included) was very good, as was the dinner, all on the rooftop with a great view of the city. The staff at Osiris really made my vacation great. Highly recommended.
- LexiSpain (8/5): Great Place to stay - The staff at Osiris are all very helpful and friendly, and not in your face trying to sell tours etc. My room was great - clean and the heater worked just find, and the bathroom also was great as the hot water was really hot! The cleaners come and clean your room on a daily basis is you wish. The wifi is great too. The location is excellent as it is down town and right by Tahrir Square so close to the Egyptian Museum and the underground so very quick and easy to get to Giza. There is also a great café close by down the street on the way to Tahrir.

- Krittika11 (6/5): Great Location, but that's pretty much it... - The location of Osiris hotel is excellent, but that's pretty much what I can recommend for the hotel. We reached the hotel at 1:20 pm and asked for an early check-in as opposed to 2pm, but were refused. When we finally did get one of our rooms, it smelled of smoke and overall had a very dingy feel. The rooms are quite small, there was no tea/coffee kettle, just one soap in the bathroom- so quite lacking in amenities. The place was built with old age charm feeling, from the way the bathrooms were designed to the locks to the furniture storage rack- but somehow the charm doesn't quite make up for the other facilities. The service is great though- people at the desk can speak good English and are happy to help you out! But out of the 5 hotels we guys stayed in all across Egypt, this was the least favorable.

- Irene (10/5): My New Home in Cairo - The hotel was a delightful friendly place to spend several days in downtown Cairo. I had an interior room that was quiet, neat, and simple. Egypt's budget-friendly hotels are what they are, and this one maximized its best attributes--a wonderfully friendly and attentive staff, excellent breakfast, and a beautiful rooftop terrace from which to greet the day or bid it goodbye. I hope to make the Osiris my home in Cairo in the future.

- Christopher (8/5): - Good hotel, great roof terrace for breakfast and other meals, good staff. Tours from the hotel are very reasonable (50usd for private day tour for 3 people, for guide and driver. Entrance fees extra). Hotel doesn’t tell you it’s on the top floor of a commercial building and when we arrived there was no one in the lobby to tell us where to go, which was confusing. Rooms clean and comfortable - but could be improved by providing a kettle for drinks. And our en suite toilet was just a screened off section of the room, which was ok but not ideal. Overall, recommended mid-range option.

The location was perfect at 20 minutes by foot from the Tahrir place and Museum. The breakfast very basic, the people/staff helpful and very kind, the room/bathroom very basic - the view from the roof a little depressing with all the garbage on the roofs around.....you get what you pay for. For 2 nights, it's fine.

The building is crappy (office building) and elevator scary but that’s common in Cairo. The deal breaker for me was the old bathroom, dribbling shower, hard bed and dirty towels. The dribbling shower was unacceptable.
- Fiachra (8/5): It had really nice rooftop views but the Managers - Incredible place and amazing room with views of the skyline and the rooftop is just as amazing!! But the Managers from arriving were at first welcoming but later on became rude. When leaving the hotel I had booked a taxi the night before with one of the Managers, the next day I was called a liar by another manager who had called the manager I spoke with saying I did not book a taxi. All of the other Staff were brilliant, Airport Pick up was good conversation, Chef was fantastic always very kind, Also other staff were very nice aswell and always talkative and smiling, one even negotiated a good price for a taxi after the ordeal I had from the managers.
