jeffreysU5882PO (8/5): Gorgeous River View - You cannot beat the river view from this hotel. It is gorgeous and easy to wander on the walkway. We love that this hotel is dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming. We were a bit put off by the cigarette butts left on our patio at a non-smoking hotel, but that speaks to guests who stay here as well. The room was comfortable, if a tiny bit dates and in need of some attention. The location is perfect and we would stay here again for sure.
Tour16680808288 (10/5): A favorite when staying in Hood River - Best Western Plus in Hood River is one of my favorites places. Its location is close to town, and easily accessible to other Hood River favorites such as town shopping, watching wind surfers, and driving the Fruit Loop. I book a river view with balcony and with great weather, it is well worth it! I have also stayed in a room that faces the parking lot during the colder climates and I get a good nights sleep. I have stayed in this motel several times and I always feel comfortable. Riverside restaurant is located on the premises and the staff there are excellent. I always stay at this Best Western when I’m in Hood River and I highly recommend.

Lynnae (10/5): Always a great stay! - We are repeat visitors. The facility and location are great for a quick getaway. We had a nice room on the 3rd floor with a small balcony and view of the bridge and the river. The room credit for use in the restaurant is a great deal! While we had Keurig machine in our room, coffee available in the lobby for early risers would be nice.

BAES (9/5): Great service, excellent value with the food voucher, and a relaxing stay—overall, a highl - The location and river pathway were excellent and very accessible, with ample parking available. Staff were outstanding—Norma was polite and helpful during our room transfer, and Erik at the lobby was exceptionally accommodating, proactively assisting with toiletries and providing a food voucher that made the Riverside restaurant a great value. The sauna, river walk, and overall service made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. The lobby entrance area was confusing at first, with frequent drop-off and pick-up traffic causing congestion. Rooms near the pool area can be noisy since the hallway is heavily used by guests going to the pool and sauna, and the carpet there appeared muddy due to wet foot traffic. We also experienced an A/C issue in the first room, and the pool was not very warm in the evening.

Mistletoetree (10/5): Wonderful hotel - The bed was super comfortable. The view of the Columbia River from the room was wonderful with all its birds, little diving ducks and some kind of elegant small geese. You can watch it for hours. The amount of freight going through the Gorge is impressive; you can see miles of trains on the Washington side, but you cannot hear them. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and each meal was delicious. The dining room is very comfortable and the view of the river, and the hills beyond it, is very nice. All the windows are sparkling clean I walked along a trail that went under the green bridge; you can walk all the way into town from there. I very much enjoyed not having to get in the car to go anywhere. All the staff were polite and pleasant and the room was very clean.

Melanie (10/5): Great mother/son getaway leaving work behind. - Location, location, location! Simply gorgeous! The only downside is something out of the hotel's control. The number of running, jumping, scraping of the chairs on the patio of young children in the rooms above and beside us was less than peaceful. I know that kids will be kids and they need to burn off energy, but....it was a bit much at times.

Ahaus (9/5): Great value and elevated Best Western - Great new updated patio that looked at the river and bridge, nice staff everywhere, good bar staff and drinks with fair prices for a hotel. Room 256 PTAC unit has a loud noise that sounds like gravel in it when the heater starts up and would wake us up at night. Needs to be fixed.
Ebee (7/5): The hotel is sprawling to match the vast surroundings of Hood River. - Beautiful location. The WiFi network and connection were unstable making remote work difficult. The business center was too small with single desk. I had requested to use a private space since there were many empty meeting rooms but was told this would be an additional charge. Unfortunate since there wasn’t enough space to have a private meeting in the business center. Our TV had to be reset twice. First it was unable to connect to internet then the dish channels stopped working. This made our two night stay challenging for both work and leisure. Though our door hanger was on, we were awoken to a cleaner knocking on the wrong door our first morning. Startling our pets, thus waking my kids. Not an ideal holiday.

Antony (4/5): Eat in town, avoid the staff, try not to need anything, enjoy the view and pools. - Facilities. The rooms were great, so was the pool and hot tubs. I booked 2 rooms on a Saturday for an overnight holiday stay with my family. Saturday evening was very nice. Sunday morning, we had planned to eat breakfast and then use the hot tubs before checkout at 11. We were seated for breakfast at 9:30 and ordered. By 10, then food still had not arrived. I went to the front desk to request a late checkout of 11:30 or noon and explained. I was met with a hard, unfriendly, unapologetic "NO" from the woman at the front desk. I tried to explain what was happening and again a rude, No, the hotel is fully booked and we need to clean the rooms. I went back to my table and the food did not arrive until 10:25. A full 55 mins after ordering! And, 2 of the dishes were cold and had to be sent back to warm in a microwave! By the time we were finished, we had 10 mins to gather things and leave. This was very poor customer service. Especially for the prices. We spent a lot of money on 2 rooms and food. I would highly recommend avoiding breakfast here. And, don't expect any accommodations from front desk staff.

wendymR4876CC (4/5): Very Negative Experience. Don't Recommend - We have been staying at this hotel for the past 20 years and always had a positive experience. We even brought 50 guests in for a wedding who all stayed 4 nights. Unfortunately, this time, it was a negative experience. In the past, we have always been given restaurant vouchers. When we didn't receive them for this stay of 4 nights, we were told by the day manager, that "the hotel is privately owned and we can pick and choose who we give vouchers to". When I told the manager that we are Best Western Rewards members, she said it didn't matter. I also told her this was discrimination, she said that "because this hotel is private, they can do whatever they want." There are too many other quality places to stay in Hood River and we will never stay at the Best Western Plus again. I would recommend that no one stays here.

Didn't like the very small rooms and was not notified about bfast vouchers. This facility offers Bfast Vouchers only if you book thru there site. Ck in is late, 4pm..

RICHARD (9/5): A good time overall. - Location, View, Dining and Lounge. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Our room, 235, was very stuffy, unable to get the air moving. The smell of the cleaning products created some irritation.
