Good location - but Homer is pretty little, even so, really glad not on the spit. The room was good, but there was an 8 to 10 inch in diameter spot under the rug in front of the bed closest to the door. My socks stuck to it when I walked there and the tile was sticky also. Probably a soda spill. Otherwise very good.

Arthur (9/5): Overall great. Close to everything.. - Very nice. A bad experience with a family in front of us. The father filled a couple plates with bacon and all sorts of food . As much as he could carry and left. I suppose theres one in every group..no refelction on the motel. Just a reflection on his upbringing. Maybe numbering the parking spots as we had a room on ground floor. it would have been nice to park near our room.

Leanne (6/5): It was ok. Probably would not stay again. - The staff were very friendly and even helped me out in a pinch when my car wouldn’t start. I was told we would have rooms in the main building as I had two rooms booked and young adults staying in one. I didn’t want their room going straight to the outdoors. Instead we got put in the corner of the outer building where there were just a lot of smokers around that area and no secure entrance before you get to the rooms. My bedroom was right beside the laundry room, so when someone decided to do laundry at 11pm I had to listen to the spin cycle banging constantly against the bedroom wall … it was very loud and I had 2 small children with me.

Matt (6/5): Gave it a shot. - The location was great, breakfast was a little better than continental. Staff was extremely helpful. Hot tub room had its problems. Desk sockets didn’t work, half the lights in room didn’t work, half hot tub jets didn’t work. And very little ventilation for a jacuzzi room. Room was super hot well after turn tub off. We had window wide open, and a small fan on. Just wasn’t worth the money.

The "shuttle" is only used at their convenience and limited times and destinations- airport or ferry. Had to take taxi from and to airport even though times were reasonable business hours. This shuttle did not move the entire time we stayed, 4 days. Will not stay at Bidarka Best Western again!

Floors above were very creaky - woke us up numerous times. The breakfast was a grade “C-” at best. On Sunday we got to the breakfast area at 7:15am. The eggs were gone - we mentioned it to the customer service rep there and she said “I told them”, asked again about 5 minutes later and then again 10 minutes later. Finally we left 15 minutes later and no eggs. Front desk customer service at check in on Friday at 3:30 kind of snarky.

Barbara (6/5): Just ok - Getting in and out of the parking area was very easy. Parking in front of the room. Front desk staff members were kind and helpful. We had booked a hearing impaired room, ground level, and were assigned a wheelchair room. That was not needed. The main issue is the horrible stink that was in the bathroom drains. Bedding sheets were very thin and beds were lumpy. Would not recommend nor stay here again in the future.
philippe (9/5): Very good - The room was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff are friendly . It might be a plus to provide hot water and hot coffee in the lobby, and perhaps also cold water. difficult to put clothes in the bathroom.

Elizabeth (9/5): Solid choice for hotel in Homer - Room was spacious and comfortable. Typical hotel room. Breakfast selections were good with bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker, etc. Facilities were a bit older. Could be modernized. Breakfast items were replenished slowly and sparingly.

Matthew (10/5): - This place is great! The Otter Room bar/restaurant onsite is a gem, the free breakfast buffet is top notch, the beds/pillows are comfy, the TV’s are new. Location is convenient and finally the staff are super friendly. This place is a 10/10!

I would have liked more chairs and a table. Four of us with two rooms couldn't come up with furniture to play cards until we found the ironing board!

Kyle (7/5): It was clean, it was a good place to lay our head, but I thought it was quite expensive for what we - The friendliness of the staff It was very expensive for an old hotel. Carpet is dated, our bathroom, toilet leaked, and breakfast was mediocre at best.
Catherine (8/5): Very good - The room was spacious and clean although it was not the room we originally booked. Our request for a pet room did not go through to the hotel but they still found a pet friendly room for us. The hotel has no elevator and the breakfast room is on the second floor. Beautiful view up there but not accessible for some people. Everyone in our party could reach the breakfast room but I'm sensitive to accessiblity issues because I have a good friend who would not have been able to take those stairs.
