Guest Reviews
- Susan (8/5): Great Stay! - This is a great place to stay! When we drove up I was a bit concerned about the exterior of the place (It looked a lot older than their website photos showed), but the inside was clean, comfortable, and recently updated. I loved the well stocked kitchenette and found everything I needed to prepare our seafood feast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Would plan to stay longer next time. Loved the full on kitchen and all the utensils available.
- John (8/5): Good surprise - Looking for a place to spend the night on a very stormy night, and I was a bit dismayed to only be able to find a “motel.” Quite the surprise as our unit was delightful with a good suite floor plan, nice furnishings, and very, good appointments. Very pleased.
- Michael (10/5): Very charming - Just like somebody else reviewed this place is very Charming. Definitely worth staying here again
- Gary (10/5): Fine motel and comfortable. - Very very comfortable beds. Room acomodations excellent. We loved the place. Highly recommended!
- Sharlene (10/5): - Very pleased with our stay, ended up staying 1 extra night we liked it so much
- Michal (10/5): A Gem on the Coast - My husband and I stayed here for one night recently on a spontaneous trip the the coast. We were both blown away by how cute our room was and how well appointed it was. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, even coming by our room a few minutes after we entered to give us a tour and answer and questions. There was a washer/dryer (we didn’t need it but nice to have) and a fully stocked kitchen. There were full sized products in the bathroom and hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable and we really liked the sheets and soft comforter, as well as the pillows. There were fresh coffee beans and a grinder available, as well as the pro-portioned kind of coffee, plus half-and-half and creamers. The Wi-Fi worked well. The location is 2 blocks from the beach and also walking distance to shops and restaurants. Overall, we were incredibly pleased with this gem and will certainly be coming back!
- Crystal (10/5): Great choice - Great place, warm welcome
- Joseph (8/5): 2 day get-a-way - Cottage was cute and well stocked. Everything you need. Centrally located to make trips up and down the coast convenient. The weather didn't cooperate but that is the Oregon coast. Food for every meal is located pretty close. The beach isn't far to walk to. Enjoyed our stay. Lots of things to do in the area. Talk to the locals, they are very friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We got the last room at this motel and we're happy...Maureen checked us in and was cheerful and nice...we would stay here again!
- krw (8/5): - I like the cleanliness and having a kitchen so I could save money on meals, I liked having the room on the end unfortunately it didn't suffocate any noise as the next door neighbor was very noisy and the road noise echoes back to the room. The facility is older and although they have updated the rooms I could not hardly use the toilet due to the position of the bathroom walls.
Nice staff, very accommodating, nice decor, free cable and Netflix but the noisy next door neighbor with a noisy washing machine prevented me from taking a nap and the company that came over pounding on the door.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place. They upgraded us to the guest house at no additional charge. The house was great. It had five bedrooms, two baths and two full kitchens. While it does not have a view of the ocean it is within walking distance of the ocean. The price is very reasonable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Rest - Wow so quaint, clean and chilaxing. Would stay again. No wonder they have repeat guests. Weather not the best so glad we could just rest and forgo beaches which are the best from prior experience.
- Jill (10/5): - Great place to stay and have as a home base for traveling up and down the coast. Full kitchen and fridge was awesome!
- Alison (10/5): Great find a minute from the beach! - We found this beauty on a last minute search for something on the beach. It was wonderful
And so close to the beach! The room
Was like a small apartment. Clean and spacious! We will definently come back!
- Everett (8/5): - Very well kept clean and home like feeling, will stay again in the future!
- Chris (10/5): A comfortable mini apartment - All of the comforts of home, just a minute's walk from the beach. A well equiped kitchen, front porch, Netflix, and friendly, helpful staff... we highly recommended this reasonably priced lodging.
- Yuliya (10/5): Late Valentine's Day family getaway - This is our 3rd time staying at Sea Haven and I loved it! Rooms are cozy and fully equipped with whatever you need to prepare to eat. Most units come with a washer/dryer but ours did not. The owner of the motel was so kind enough to offer to do our laundry (which was soaked from the beach). Always happy with our visit and will definitely be coming back next year!
- Brad (8/5): Nice place very quiet - Nice place very quiet.I would definitely stay at this place again.. Very quiet there you can’t even hear the neighbors. The manager couldn’t of been nicer.
- Dennis (10/5): Our Stay @ Haven - Our host was fantastic. Would highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Literally the nicest woman ever works there and that is why my group is coming back next year!
- Todd (10/5): Enjoyed - Very highly recommend
- Keeona (10/5): - Maureen was amazing! Nice cozy space. Was way more than what I thought at first glance. Would recommended it to anyone!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly people. Comfortable room with many amenities so that you could stay all week and only need to leave for groceries.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Small family-owned motel - It is a small family-owned motel near the beach. The owners are very friendly and eager to help. The rooms are a bit small with two double beds. It has a nice seating area though and when the weather is nice you can sit outside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute family run hotel - This was a last minute stay that turned out great. Cute little hotel just a short walk from the beach and downtown eating and shopping. We were warmly greeted buy the owner who personal suggested and mapped us out a ton plaves to see and explore. Defiantly had more of a home feel then hotel. Will defiantly stay again.
- Nancy (10/5): Great stay in Rockaway Beach! - This was a great choice for a stay. The owner was friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed the stay.
- Emily (10/5): Clean and well-appointed room by the beach. - Great little place. Full kitchen was appreciated, and everything one might need was there. There was even Epsom salt in the bathroom for a lovely soak in the bathtub! The bedroom was tiny, not easy for second person to get in and out of bed. That's the only reason it didn't get a full 5 stars.
- Ashley (10/5): Amazing! - They were very friendly.. overall it was a nice clean room. And very family friendly.
- Kristina (10/5): Clean, friendly and just plain adorable! - One of the cutest little places to stay!
- Fiema (10/5): Great place!!!! Wonderful for home away from home - This is a wonderful place! The location is convenient, the beach is right across the street, twin rocks is a short walk down the beach, and you can shoot up to Cannon beach in 30 mins. The room was amazing! Our suite was a home away from home, and our doggy was super happy. There's yummy snacks, coffee, tea, sugar, flavored/non flavored creamer, a regular sized coffee pot, a full kitchen (!), tons of towels, big bottles shampoo, conditioner and body wash, bubble bath items, movies to burrow, TV's in the main room and bedroom, and comfy blankets. The lady was sooo nice! She gave us tons of maps and cool things to do!! This will always be our choice of place to stay when we visit the coast. <3
- Verified traveler (10/5): Here for a wedding. - Place was well above my expectations. Host was welcoming. Place was super clean, room smelled fresh. We will be back!
- Karen (10/5): Sea Haven - Very clean room with a well stocked kitchen. Even whole bean coffee and a grinder! Excellent check-in with a good overview of the area. The only negative was some late night noise from the room next door.
- Aaron (10/5): A wonderful place to stay. - Our stay was wonderful. Marion was very accomidating and became a good friend. The guest house was perfect for our needs. We will certainly stay there again and would recommend this facility to anyone who asks.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very clean and comfortable! - Family owned and operated. Very clean and comfortable. Many thoughtful touches and perks - such complimentary snacks, local coffee, and bubble bath. It is run by folks that are truly gifted in hospitality. I felt at home by the simple amenties provided in the room.
- JACKIE (10/5): So good staying another night - Great room friendly staff and very informative about the area
- Gabriel (10/5): Will return - Great little family weekend vacation. Clean rooms, fully useable kitchen, awesome staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel. Rockaway is a quiet beach. Perfect for hanging out and relaxing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location for adventures! - The owner was very helpful and supper nice!
My husband and I also are dog witch is the princess in the family had a great night sleep and made a full breakfast that morning on a nice clean kitchen loved our stay and look forward to it again! 🐾🐶💞😀👍
- EDWIN (10/5): Great Cozy Stay! - Maureen, the owner, was really great! She was very welcoming from the start and made sure we had everything we needed on hand. Her rooms were cozy and great for families. It was only a short walk to the beach and gave us some needed break from driving along the beautiful and scenic Oregon Coast. We will surely be back next time we are in the area. Our family warmly thanks you Maureen! Wishing you all the best!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value and cute!! - Staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful about the area. They have many creature comforts including full kitchen with pots and pans and full sized washer-dryer in unit.
- first timer (10/5): It was very worth it and had everything and more. - Great place and i would stay there again in a heart beat
- Sarah (10/5): My best hotel experience - My friend and I booked our room last minute and drove from Portland, arriving somewhat late. We were the last two to check in for the night night and she gave us the 5 bedroom guest house upragrade because she didn't like it sitting empty. We only stayed one night and I know that's not the kind of thing that usually happens (especially me) , but it really made my trip special. I flew all the way from Oklahoma to visit my friend and I seldom get to see the ocean. I will never forget how amazing that was to get to stay in such a great place with my best friend.
- Mitch (8/5): Great Dog Hotel! - Imagine staying at a friends house and being able to bring your dog! The room we stayed in had a separate bedroom, it was small but had a queen bed in it. A futon and small bar with a reasonable size kitchen with full size appliances, there was plenty of room for us.
It was all of the little touches that made this place great. Lots of towels, extra blankets, pillows, some free little snacks. Real shampoo, soap and even soaking salts. Great grass area for your pets do do their business and everyone cleaned up after themselves.
The only drawback is that it is not closer to the beach, although it is near hwy 101 we did not hear the road at all with the windows closed. I would definitely stay here again. And if it was next to the beach I would stay and be willing to pay a lot more.
- Verified traveler (10/5): not fancy just nice - great place, nothing fancy but quiet and the people who run it are great! really like the home feel they have here!
- Linda (10/5): Beach and doggy getaway - It was just what I wanted in a reasonable priced room where I could take my dogs to beach
- Paula (10/5): The Sea Haven is a Haven - Was greeted by friendly staff, was given great tips of where and when to find sand dollars. Room was way more beautiful than I expected. Very roomy, full size kitchen (stove, refrig, microwave, coffee pot, pots and pans, dishes, etc)Even though just off the road, seldom heard any traffic. The place felt safe. I would have to say the Sea Haven is a great Gem. We will be staying there again.
- Michelle (10/5): Lots of amenities - They focused on the little things. The room had everything from Netflix to a sprayer for the sink. Full size fridge. Dvds to borrow freely. Great bargain. Could use a bit more table space to set things out and definitely more closet space. Other than that, perfect!
- Donna (10/5): - Had a wonderful time. Maureen upgraded us to the guest house so my husband's wheelchair could be accommodated. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and gave us maps to all the interesting activities in the area to include all you can eat oyster restaurant where you can watch them shuck the oysters. She presented with Sea Haven coffee mugs on the way out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay - Nice sime 1night stay while travelling up Oregon coast. Great room with lots of ammenities!
