Guest Reviews
- Heather (6/5): - It’s dated with real keys. Beds are comfy. Kind of cool! But the room smells like mold. At check in, the gentleman couldn’t find my reservation because there was a language barrier. He called his daughter, and it was okay. There are pipeline workers that stay at the property, but not in a creepy way. The breakfast sits out all day, so I didn’t any. I didn’t know if it was stale. Okay experience but I’m gonna stay at the Best Western next time.
- Alan (10/5): - Shut up
- Alan (10/5): - Quiet nights sleep
- CRIS (6/5): Please Freshen the Room Smell - I should not complain about a bargain rate and I might not have if the room had a pleasant odor. It smelled ugly. I had to go to nearby Dollar General to buy scent spray and a room deodorizer. The hotel is old, looks old, smells funky. What I did like: it is just down the road, same road, from the Goliad State Park, Presidio La Bahia, Historic Downtown Center. Would I stay there again? No — unless I wanted to not spend a lot of money. P.S. Don’t expect a true breakfast. Luckily, there’s a Mexican Restaurant and a What-A-Burger across the street.
- Wendy (2/5): - The doors have old time actually key in the doors. You could pop lock with a butter knife. Already feeling unsafe I open the door to turn on the light. No light comes on and there’s just this long hallway. I can’t see even into the room. It gave me the creeps. I left and did not stay there.
- JOHN (10/5): - An older property, but the furnishings are fine. Soft towels, cool a/c that did not smell funky, good beds and pillows. Working fridge and microwave. Lamps and lights are a bit wonky, but I got them figured out.
Free Breakfast was a bit sparse, but the coffee was ok.
Located at the biggest intersection in Goliad, but the a/c drowned out the traffic noise, mostly...
The tv had cable, but it also had local San Antone channels, which is a big deal to me! I love local news!
I would definitely stay here again!
- Melissa (10/5): - Dated hotel, but clean and comfortable.
- Kathleen (6/5): - Poor lighting, broken bathroom fixtures, noisy AC, barely any toilet paper on the roll and no extra. But if you want inexpensive, this is what you get
- Jesus (8/5): - Clean and good service
- Hill (10/5): - Property was in ok shape but the room was wonderful and cleaner than hotels Ive recently stayed in for 4x the $. Bed and pillows were super comfy and shower was excellent. Staff was also very friendly. We'll be staying again next year.
- Amy (10/5): Good overnight stay. - Clean and good value for the price!! Staff was very friendly. Some road noise and dated but all in all, I would definitely stay again when passing thru.
- Michael (10/5): - I stayed here just because it was close to the downtown courthouse square. It’s a no frills thrill basic vintage style motel that still uses actual metal keys. The beds were on the firm side, sheets were soft the a/c was large/cold and the room had a larger size mini fridge with microwave.
- ROLANDO (10/5): - All very clean and comfortable
- Luis (8/5): - Overall, good place to stay close to restaurants and other locations.
- ROLANDO (10/5): - Clean! Very clean! I was happy
- Marcos (8/5): - Service
- Gary (4/5): - This is the farthest thing from an "Executive Inn" as you can get. Dim lit room helped cover up the dirt but not the bugs & the poorly secured front door & porch partys from the construction crews that called it home
- Kathy (6/5): - Very run down hotel. Needs some serious upgrades.
Said breakfast included. Have only 2 types of cereal.
No sitting area. Would not recommend this place nor would I ever stay here again
- Ray (6/5): - Pass
- Martin (10/5): - This is my go to motel when I host karaoke in Goliad. I gave it a high rating because the owners are very nice people. Always service with a smile. Thank you for great customer service.
- Glenn (10/5): - Overnight getaway
- Mary (4/5): You get what you pay for - It was very late when I arrived due to flight delay. Once checked in, discovered none of the electrical outlets by the bed or in the bathroom worked so I was unable to charge my phone or watch and I couldn’t dry my hair after my shower. On a positive note, there was plenty of hot water and great water pressure.
- Kevin (8/5): - I don’t think I have anything more to say than that I enjoy the room.
- Carol (8/5): - helpful but late breakfast.
- Donald (8/5): - Basic no frills with friendly staff . Aged but clean.
- Terri (6/5): - Very old hotel. Stairs are dangerous.
- Darryl (8/5): - Good place to stay if low price is a priority. Rooms are very clean.
- paul (10/5): - this is my favorite place
- David (8/5): ok for the cost - The room was an inexpensive, good place to stay, it was clean No Shower curtain. Outdated style and door entrance
- Tiffany (8/5): - The only thing that I didn't like was that the fridge was so loud I had to unplug it so I had to waste a lil food I'd brought with me. And the breakfast wasn't much but that's ok. Other than that it was a great hotel for my passing thru.
- Elena (10/5): - I love everything about it
- Keith (6/5): - I liked that it was quiet. There was a large parking lot and some pretty big oak trees that provide some shade here in north Mexico... Tell you what boy.
But when we got into our room and I cranked the AC down to low, I could tell the AC wasn't working right. Then it made several loud banking noises every 10min. You could tell someone had opened that AC unit up before and I'm pretty sure it was on its last legs.
- Clayton (4/5): - We left and found another place to stay .
- Preston (8/5): Surprise Pet Fees - Pet friendly description did not mention $20 per pet fee. Big surprise at check in. If known I would have shopped hotels in Victoria TX. For a reasonable pet fee. La Quinta does not charge a pet fee.
- Linda (8/5): - Clean and bed was comfy. Great for an overnight at a reasonable price!
- DJ (8/5): good deal - Check in easy. Friendly owners. Pet friendly. Centrally located to area history locations. Overall good experience.
- James (10/5): Goliad Christmas - older hotel but clean and comfortable for a very low price
- hugo a (4/5): Run Down and dirty - After what we all had to deal with for the past 2 years, I couldn’t believe how this people don’t care about their customers a little bit more, blood on the walls and finger prints everywhere, Nasty.
- Jill (10/5): - We got in late. Mr. Bhakta checked us in with no problems. He was friendly and got the process done fast. The room was clean. The bathroom was spotless which i loved. We had a nice stay.
- Shawn (8/5): - It was good… I was happy with it.
- Christina (10/5): - For a night's stay it was great. Easy and friendly check in, accommodating. My only concern would be the door jam, this allowed cool air to escape and humidity in; nothing a towel could not fix. :) Overall pleasant stay.
- Terry (8/5): Crash Here - Small clean property in a quiet town. Plenty of restaurants
and local attractions. Head to Rockport firm here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Do not stay here. Lady who checked us in seemed bothered we got there past 10. Did not bother to come out for check out. I had to call twiceto get an answer, and told me to just leave the keys there. (They still use regular keys). The security lock was only on one side, there was nothing on the door, so its pointless and looks like its been replaced multiple times. Curtains had multiple holes and floor was uneven. Bathroom door didnt close right. There was a picture on the wall that had mold. Hotel is located right off a main street. U could here constant trucks passing by all night. Will never stay here again.
- Michael and Robinette (10/5): Mini vacation - Room was very clean. This is an older motel but is well maintained. Bed was very comfortable. Well worth the money for a one night stay. Would stay again
- Stephen (8/5): when in Goliad - was only here for the night and enjoyed the break - town was very small and for most part after 5 most of it went asleep - so i did enjoy having a hotel where I could relax and recharge
- Julie (8/5): - Great hosts, very friendly.
- Dirk (8/5): - Much of the lighting did not work properly.
- Lee (10/5): - Room was clean, the staff very kind and helpful. Due the COVID19 organized crime, we were not able to get breakfast but it didn’t matter. Good location for visiting some magical places in Goliad.
- Terry (8/5): Goliad - Crash here regularly.
Great downtown.
- Kass (10/5): - Hotel was clean and well kept. A/C was nice and cold. Staff is very nice and helpful.
- Angie (2/5): - I got there and got my key , the place was horrible, I went back to office and gave key back , it smelled horrible and didn’t look like a safe place to stay , so I took a lost of money and stayed else where
- clarissa (10/5): - great location, the owners are very nice. very close to down town and historic places.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect location. I love Goliad. I love Texas. Beautiful country to drive through.
- Samantha (4/5): Run down - The lobby was no bigger than a closet. It was also where the cereal for breakfast was located. My room was right next to a family with two small children. They were loud well past 11 pm. The carpet and bed spread were really old. The bathroom needed work on the tile and grout. There were three locks on the door, but only one worked. It was cheap and allowed pets, with a fee. You got what you paid for.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff friendly. Location remote Midway to Houston from Edinburg.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was nice for the area but could use some remodeling.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was very cleam but the electrical was not that great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff. Bed was heavenly. Room clean. Good value.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - clean and price reflex lacking amenities ... nice town
- Nathan (10/5): Good place at a decent price. - Nice place. You are next to the highway though, so if you're a light sleeper, you may find the semi trucks stopping and starting at the intersection disruptive. Beyond that, great staff, clean rooms. For the price, what more could you ask for?
- Delise (8/5): Clean and fresh - Ou room had been freshly painted and was very clean. A lot of working men staying at hotel that left early in the morning. Not a problem for us. Loved the town... So much history.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Some outlets did not work and there were no fire alarms or sprinklers in room in case of fire, rooms were clean, a bit noisy
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff is nice. The rooms are decent and affordable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was very close to la bahia mission which i was involved in
- John or Kathy (10/5): - We so enjoyed our time. The receptionist was so accommodating. The location is great. The amenities are modest, but adequate.
We would definitely stay again.
- Deborah (10/5): South Texas Trip - Great wi-fi and wonderful breakfast. Check-in was fast and even though first set of keys didn’t work the clerk fixed it quickly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Standard motel for a small town. There are only 3 choices in Goliad.
- Trish (8/5): - Exterior seemed cheesy but interior was spotless. Checkin was transacted behind glass partition in very small room that smelled of cigarettes and the counter housed the continental breakfast goodies. That part I hated but the room not fancy but meticulously clean and convenient to the state parks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Place was good, only stayed a night, the location good.
- Tennille (8/5): - Cane in super late. Clerk was nice and friendly. Room was clean and cold when we came in. All in all good experiences.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Simple but comfortable - The place looks odd from the outside but the rooms were clean and I slept comfortably and the staff was nice.
- Pam (6/5): - Minimal amenities, breakfast was coffee (no creamer) and milk & cereal only. But it was clean and staff was friendly.
- Nicole (6/5): Basic hotel for decent price - Room was not bad . Standard for price. Breakfast was stale cereal and coffee. Otherwise I would stay there again.
- richard (2/5): What a sh*t pile. This location needs to be Razed. - Sheets were dirty, and there were empty cigarette packages in the room (Despite it being a non-smoking room). The door lock did not work. The bathroom had no mirror. There were cockroaches everywhere.
Best/worst part was, I was in town for an EARLY MORNING meeting the following day, and the people next door were apparently long-term tennants, who fought VIOLENTLY, shaking the whole building until late into the night. I could hear one of them vomiting loudly through the walls after. It was the reason I wasn't completely convinced murders were happening next door. I was originally going to stay a second night, but after a night of zero sleep, cleanliness issues, and the above mentioned violence, I went and turned in my keys and drove back home after one night.
Was extra sad to see a juvenile working the office. Child labor laws also are being broken at this location.
Don't think I will ever visit the city of Goliad ever again because of this experience.
- Elisabeth (8/5): - Stayed one night. Beds were great hot strong shower. Very clean. Older hotel but very nice for the price.
- Rich (4/5): Needs a lot of work - I am a frugal traveler and I expect humble environs that may not be new, but are well-cared for. This facility was far too worn, with broken plaster and moldy bath trim. Needs a major renovation.
- Stanley (8/5): - Was good
- Kathy (6/5): - The room was not very clean maids missed the tub n sink n floor... all dirty
- Verified traveler (6/5): Better - Small lobby had bullet proof glass with a very small pass thru tray to transact business. I'm not sure what crime they are expecting in Goliad, but It's not customer friendly at all. Rooms were OK.
