They have always been professional and friendly. I also recommend if you are staying there in Freer Tx, to go down to the Double Drop Bar and Grill for lunch or dinner. They have great food and service.

Okay safety first. Got a room, I was like the only guest and of course someone else showed up at midnight with a trailer full of stuff! All night doors slammed in and out finally stopped for like and hour but got back up early like 4:30 door slamming again until almost 6:30 why next door to us and take away any chance of purpose of staying at a hotel !!rest!!! Try the breakfast, terrible and again no one to ask for anything!

thomascO5303MA (8/5): Windwood Inn in Freer - I have stayed at this location while building a project nearby. Owners and staff are great people. Super clean hotel and the best in the area. They have a nice meeting room we have used for training. Added plus for us that head out early in the morning is the breakfast area opens at 5:00 am. Coffee could be a little stronger but other than that pretty good spot to stay.
303blaneb (10/5): Brush Country at its finest - I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here in Freer Texas. The south Texas brush country is something you need to experience for yourself. Best Western was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was very attentive. I would advise to book direct, as the travel sites tend to rip you off.
Venture493468 (6/5): It's okay if.. - There is no where else to stay, you are up to being murdered and you lione broken showers. The girl at the front desk just gave my husband a key to ther room, no questions asked. Her wasn't even on the registration and all her told her was I need a key for this room and she made one for him and handed it to him.
Stephanie (4/5): - I am not sure why but the room felt damp the whole night. It is like they cleaned the carpet and it never dried. The carpet felt damp when you walked on it and the clothes I put on floor were damp when I packed up to leave. I didn't say anything to hotel staff since I was only in the room to sleep but even the sheets felt damp. I woke up sweating even though I had AC set at 69 degrees. Now I have a head cold. Never had an issue when I stayed there a few years ago and I think I had the same room.

Brenda (8/5): - The hotel room & grounds were clean and free from litter; the desk clerks seemed bothered to fulfill requests (ie., coffee in the room, issuing additional key). Breakfast hours are 6 am - 9 am, they ran out of eggs before 8:30 am, the biscuits were hard as a brick and no one could be found to request more. We opted to go to town on the second day and pay for breakfast, rather than eat 3 hour old biscuits without gravy. Our family booked 4 rooms & there were only 3-4 additional tenants during our stay

This was a little hidden jewel that was unexpected. Service was top notch. I would highly recommend this property if you are in the area. Has a pool and truck parking
