Catherine (6/5): - The only noteworthy "good" thing about this location is that the other motels in Oakdale, LA are WORSE. What I didn't like is that the DirecTV satellite box is fastened to the wall behind the dresser that the TV set sits on (and quite high). Very awkward to handle remote, change channels, plus the selection of channels is mostly for infomercials and children's channels.

Catherine (10/5): - This location is a typical Best Western but a little classier than I expected it to be given its small town location. Second floor rooms via elevator which I much preferred than having to use stairs to a second floor (and I've stayed in motels without elevators. Room, bed, furnishings very comfortable, cozy, private. 50" flat panel TV with DirecTV and all my favorite channels. This was a surprise to find DirecTV instead of just free streaming apps. What I didn't like is that it was time-consuming to figure out HOW to use the heat/cooling under-window appliance. No instructions to reveal that this unit operates in conjunction with a wall-mounted controller. Also, it was necessary for me to reset the cable box ON the TV set in order to retrieve the DirecTV on-screen guide. Overall a very comfortable and clean room.

Verified traveler (6/5): - The room I stayed in had a horrible musty wet mildew smell. The towels always looked dirty. I had to buy bleach from Walmart and wash the towels myself. The staff was nice except for Virginia, she was always so rude and acted like any request from guests was an inconvenience to her. Well except if you were a male then she was nice. If this small town had other options I would stay else where when I visit family.

Aydee (4/5): - This building has really bad humidity issues, the smell of it and mold is really bad. The AC units need to be cleaned and disinfected because the smell of mold coming out out those AC units it’s terrible. I do have to mention the Lady in the front desk was great.

Nancy (6/5): - It’s ok for a night or two. Room was clean. But, the blankets on the bed smelled gross. The entire room had a smell. The bed sits super close to the floor and is not comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, but you only get two small towels. Luckily, we bring our own blanket, towels and pillows on trips. The staff was very friendly. But for all things holy deep clean the rugs and wash ALL the bedding leave extra pillows and towels!

This power failure makes the room very hot specially after a really hot day. Power was restored and we went back to sleep. Breakfast was good.

We had family in the area and they were able to retrieve the items for us. We appreciate the call from the staff and will stay at this hotel every time we’re in town.

Charles (6/5): Disappointed - When we got to our room one of the beds looked like some one had slept in it the night before and the covers were pulled up to cover it. There was an open shampoo bottle in the tub along with a used bar of soap. When we turned on the bathroom faucet it leaked under the vanity. We have stayed here many years and have never seen this motel this bad. Thinking of staying somewhere else next year.

The front desk staff member, Debra, was fantastic and so very friendly. She checked us in quickly and when I demagnetized my room key the following day, she quickly rekeyed the electronic key cards for us. I will definitely return and continue staying at this location.

Catherine (4/5): - I do NOT recommend staying in this property! The owners are apparently very cheap. The sheets were worn and had patches of pill balls that were scratchy. The pillows were small and cheap. The towels clearly had outlived their useful lives. These people have not replaced the linens and towels as they should have. To make matters worse, the place was infested with crickets and small flies!

Joseph (8/5): - The BW Oakdale Inn was a pleasant surprise for me. I would’ve never believed that such a nice hotel would be located in the area. Very well maintained inside and out, quiet and safe. Like similar hotels, the free breakfast leaves much to be desired. Regardless, I didn’t go there for the free breakfast. It’s a pleasant place to get a good evening’s rest.
Robert (8/5): Nice clean hotel - Really the only viable option in Oakdale, overall it was a pleasant stay. The bed is not very comfy but the room is large and clean. Stay away from the motel in Oakdale.

Sharita (2/5): - This place was a total DISAPPOINTMENT all together. The pictures from the website were totally different in person. The room was FILTHY. Leftover food in the microwave, pizza toppings on the floor, dust/dirt was super thick on the nightstand and tv stand. The remote was sticky. Shower was dirty and the phone was filthy and it did not have a plug at all. I hate I booked this place. My trip was ruined, I had to stay with family for a night because I was terrified for my daughter’s safety with the cleaning. There were big white stains on the top covers on both beds so o placed them on the floor. I would love a FULL REGUND. This is not how you would like to spend vacation with your family. This was awful. Not yo mention they had no extra towels for the days we were there, they said I would have to wait until they finished getting dirty towels from other guest then I’ll get more afterwards. Would stay here again but the breakfast was subpar, lacking but everyone was able to find something to quickly eat. Eggs were powdered rocks, waffle mix wasn’t right so it stuck to the iron and you had to dig it out to which made it crumble, and the biscuit was just ok.

I arrived and paid with a different credit card and asked would this be fixed. I now have overdraft charges and wasn’t able to use money like I had planned!
