The hotel is extremely clean, all the people working are so friendly - especially Mabel. She goes above and beyond for us everytime we come and shes a big part of the reason we came back for a second time. We’ll be back again next long weekend!!

- chantC850SR (2/5): Poor management - We stayed here for our sons hockey playoffs. Our visit wasn't a good experience. We were parked in their parking lot and the bob cat was clearing the snow he was pushing snow beside our truck, my husband was sitting in the truck he felt the truck move but didn't think anything of it just thought it was snow. Wasn't until I came out and looked and there were scratches above the wheel well of my truck. We had to get to my son's hockey game so when we got back he was still clearing snow so my husband went over to him and said you scratched my truck. So he gets out to come look at it and takes the palm of his hand and rubs all the dirt in scratching it more and says that will buff out. It's down to the metal and now with more scratches all around it from him rubbing it hard with his hand. He says sorry thats it. So we go talk to the manager of the hotel Joan and she says she will get security to check the cameras. Then shes says sorry where we are parked they cant see anything on the camera it doesnt go that far she tells us. How convenient right. sorry but there's nothing we can do you can file a police report if you like. The guys saying he didn't hit the truck when my husband was sitting in the truck. She kept saying why didnt your husband tell him right away why did you wait. I told her we had to get to my son's hockey game and when we got back he went and spoke to him. Just trying to put the blame on us. She did absolutely nothing for us but say sorry! So I'm expected to pay for the damages their bobcat driver caused to my truck.

- Jessica (4/5): Meh - We were out in a dingy motel adjacent to the main hotel. Room was basic, not great, far from amenities. Pool/waterslide was the only redeeming feature. Wouldn’t stay again.
- Lightning (7/5): Good - Staff were friendly and accommodating The hot tub was out of order and once it was usable it wasn't very hot and the water was a murky color. The shampoo and soap were cheap, sorry. It's just that most hotels have upgraded necessities now but I always bring my own just in case it's the cheap little bottles. It's nice though when there is good necessities. Overall my stay was good. Thank you

- Verified traveler (6/5): Customer service training needed! - Our stay started out with a terrible check in experience from a very rude staff member. We were one of several sports teams staying in the hotel. We had asked to check in one room, one hour early, so that our team can drop their bags off the bus and change into their uniforms, etc. and she was not only not willing to even consider it, she was very rude about it. There was no line up or other people in the lobby and yet her excuse was that she had over 48 check-in's to process. This made no sense since starting that process earlier would have alleviated the amount. I have stayed at many hotels and the front desk is often willing to accommodate any reasonable requests. This person was horrible, rude, glared at us, glared at the other coaches, and overall should not be in customer service. Other than that, the rooms were decent, the breakfast was good, although it was slower service due to numbers in the morning, and the beds were comfy.

- Adeline (8/5): Not bad for not driving to Edmonton - Large rooms, close to home, large pool, smittys/steak house and had a little pub with VLTS. Staff was extremely busy and they almost came off as rude! First 5 minutes of being checked in our toilet over flowed. I called down and she kept saying I’ll call u back in checking someone In 45 minutes we waited for the maintenance people. Went to the pool took them a hour to reset the system for the water slide( this happens constantly ) The coupons for breakfast are only til 9 am on weekdays and 10 on weekends? Why? That was extremely disappointing as we went swimming first thing and got to the restaurant at 10:15 and were told to we couldn’t use the free voucher..: Worst part… my friend went down to the car at 3 am and was quick, the staff wasn’t at the sliding door to buzz her in and she had to sit out side and wait!!!! The doorbell alarm was working too and no one was there!!

Indoor pool and slide was nice as we were there to see the grandkid. It was a pleasure to stay in your hotel while in cold lake for a family visit!
