Every single time I visit, I’m blown away—not just by the amazing food (which is absolutely authentic, flavorful, and consistently incredible), but by the entire experience from start to finish. The atmosphere of the whole property is just wonderful. The grounds are beautiful, the spaces are welcoming, and everything feels thoughtfully cared for. Whether you’re dining, visiting, or staying, there’s a sense of comfort and ease that makes you want to linger a little longer. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people. The owner and staff go above and beyond to take care of you, and they do it in such a warm, friendly way that feels more like being welcomed by family than just being a guest. It genuinely feels like a place where people care. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right—food, atmosphere, and service—but this is one of them. It was very clean, the rooms were well-maintained and updated, and the front desk and breakfast personnel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included freshly-made omlettes that were delicious--packed with veggies. Would stay here again!

Guests who were either drunk, lost, or immature high schoolers banged on my door half the night. Finally, I was charged extra for a first floor room because I’m physically unable to navigate the stairs. I won’t stay here again.

- T7923YTnicolet (4/5): Toxic Bleach & Paint Smell w/ a side of Blue LED Lighting -- But good beds. - This is difficult. This hotel, The Best Western Sunridge Inn in Baker City has a great location and we drive through town about every six months. It's honestly not a great hotel, though. We travel with our service dog and they put us out in the north forty in a sterile room. The beds were comfy and the customer service was great! However, the room feels like a poor house. It isn't pleasant, the lighting is blue LED and gives me a migraine, the room was also sterilized with bleach, and between that costic smell and the smell of paint (which I swear they were painting six months ago too) it made our throats burn. It is run down and, despite the new carpet and constant painting, this hotel needs some serious upgrades. In fact, Baker City as a whole needs a new hotel option for travelers. There is a restaurant on the property and it did have a pretty good pork chop and a cook in the back that swears a LOT! Who knew your pork chop came with entertainment! In all fairness the hotel staff did move our room to an "upgraded room" in a different building that smelled better but still rundown. If they tell you that you have to be in the back building with a dog, that's not entirely true. They moved us by the pool.

The bar and grill was closed the night we were there. A big disappointment to us. In the morning we had breakfast. I used the restroom and there was no toilet paper in the stall. This is a very poorly run facility.

- Mitch (4/5): Room was ok but not at the very good level. - It was a good location. When I checked in she said you are on the second floor. If you are not ok with hauling all your stuff up the stairs(they had no elevator to get to our second floor room)you will need to pay $20 extra to have a room on the first floor. I told her I don’t want to pay $20 extra but I also don’t want to haul all our stuff without a cart up the stairs. So I had to pay the 20$. The ratings on booking.com come up as very good. I don’t believe this hotel in all areas meet that standard.

The staff was exceptional! Kind, helpful and many smiles! Location was perfect for continuing on our journey. Albertsons a block away and a band played in the park just down the street. Great place to stay.

Left plunger outside our door when we called the Desk--- worked at it for several hours...went to bed on our multi-nite stay and the next day one of cleaning staff inquired how we were doing. The plunger was defective..she went and found a newer one or at least one that wasn't defective. She refused my help as she worked we talked and she said it was a given in a few rooms, ours included, to have regular toilet stoppage. She was great. The defectiive toilet plunger wasn't. Left 1 day early but they kept the money for the --4th night----of course you are entitled to it . Proably won't stay at your place again.

- jenniferp927 (10/5): Beautiful Property, helpful staff - Upon check-in, I didn't realize some rooms didn't have a parking directly in-front of the door (I've attached the hotel map so nobody else is blindsided like I was) which was hard for me taking a 50 state road trip and needing to reshuffle and repack all our luggage pieces. The woman at the front with sparkles in her hair went above and beyond to show me a closer room - but was a animal friendly room. When I went inside I didn't smell anything but clean so I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the room because I would have never guessed this was a animal friendly room if I wasn't told. I loved this property and wished I could have stayed longer. It looked more like a resort than a regular hotel. I would definitely come back and make sure I stayed longer than a night to enjoy that amazing pool. The only complaint I had was not being thanked for being a best western member upon check-in and given water like the other BW hotels, and if you stay near a door like we did in room 202, you'll hear the door slam loudly and constantly all day & night long. Otherwise, it was a great say, very comfortable, clean and the best BW hotel we ever experienced.

- Katherine (2/5): - We chose this hotel off of what seemed to be a positive rating but found our accessible king room to smell horribly. The bathroom smelled like old cigarettes and the room like old food. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the four pillows provided were very small and flat for a king size bed. The bathroom grab bars were dirty around the toilet and shower and the floor grout had gross stains in places. I walk with two canes and had a difficult time managing the bathroom door which closed itself while you were trying to enter or exit the bathroom. Overall the room just didn’t feel very clean and was not worth the money we spent on it. We ended up leaving before breakfast the next morning. I do highly recommend the Sweet Wife Bakery which is where we found breakfast. I do not, however, recommend this hotel.

- Ron (8/5): - We've stayed at this property many times as we pass thru the area. Everything was great but we wish the mattress in our room was firmer. Breakfast attendant was friendly and on kept things well stocked.

- Zachary (6/5): - Decent hotel if you’re bringing pets. 1st floor rooms mostly have grassy area with sliding glass door. Be sure to select room for pets on Expedia reading fine print so there’s no issue when you check in.

- 064gal (8/5): Comfortable room, nice grounds. - Due to high occupancy, we were given an accessible room which was just fine. Room was clean and comfortable. We ordered food from the on site restaurant. It was good and generous portions - took home half of each of ours to enjoy the next day. i especially appreciated the Indian cuisine options! The breakfast was good enough, standard US motel fare, but there was a good variety of choices. The grounds were nice and well-kept with a sort of garden feel in between the hotel buildings.
