Guest Reviews
- Henri (8/5): - The bathroom looks to need some minor repairs to be completed but the room was very clean.
- Michael (10/5): - Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff was great. I highly recommend them.
- Beth (8/5): - Nice hotel , clean , big rooms with a wonderful pool area. Unfortunately the pool was closed when we were there. Hotel needs some updating and the hotel landscaping is not being taken care of. Also the alarm system was beeping every morning for hours
- Brittany (6/5): - Hotel was clean, but arrived and the pool was out of order. Would have been nice to know that up front.
- Frank (2/5): - The spa and pool were not functional and this is why we booked this location, we received no advance warning and were offered no credit for the non functional equipment
- Jeff (10/5): - Super comfortable hotel with very clean accommodations. The staff was great. Well, there’s not much to do in the immediate area. It’s very quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel if you ever need to be in the Crandon area.
- Beverly (6/5): - Pool, hot tub, and ice machine not working. Stains on blanket. No one ever at front desk. Waited 25 minutes to check in after ringing bell several times.
- Nicholas (6/5): Ummm, what? - Booked online, got to a desk with key cards scattered all over it and a phone number, called the phone number, couldn’t understand the lady on the line and eventually just took a random key that had “2Q” and a room number written on it, left early in the morning before staff arrived and was never charged for the room. Cool that it was “free” but that was about it. I’d look into other alternatives in the area.
- Craig (8/5): it is the only option and it was reasonable - accomadations were as expected breakfast was a treat . will return I can't think of anything at that price
- Verified traveler (6/5): Crandon Inn - Hotel is showing its age. Pool was not working the entire week despite promises it would be. Breakfast was ok. Bathroom and shower have mold and mildew. Just not a comfortable stay. Disappointed
- Brad (8/5): Very good -
- Hugh (6/5): - Its the only real option in the area. The rooms are a good size and clean, breakfast isnt great. The pool has been out of action for a long time. We stayed here last year and it was closed then as well. They shouldn't advertise as having a pool.
- Anthony (2/5): - We have stayed here before and had pleasant stays. This time was absolutely horrible. When checking in they gave us our room key. Went up found naked people in the pull out sofa. Room was completely occupied. Went back to front desk they said it was impossible room is vacant. Ha it was not. So he calls someone to help him because he couldn’t figure out how to switch rooms. She tries to charge me for another room. Get to unoccupied room mold and patch work on bathroom walls. Pool closed. On the upside the morning staff were very nice. This hotel stay was not worth what we paid.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Trinette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lieanna (9/5): Superb -
- Rodney (9/5): Superb -
- Raymond (9/5): Superb - Bunin
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Whitaker (3/5): Need to do better - The 1 worker that we saw was nice The pool and hot tub were not in working order on a holiday weekend, the shower rods were falling down, there was crust under a pillow on the fitted sheet of one of the beds, over all one of the worst hotels that we had to stay at, it there was another hotel in Crandon we would have went there.
- Christopher (8/5): - Been staying here for many years. The pool has never been accessible.
- Raymond (8/5): Very good -
- wade (10/5): - I enjoyed the tranquility of this place. It surprised me on many levels actually. Was a nice place to rest up with a comfortable bed and was very reasonably priced.
- Rebecca (8/5): My stay - The stay was great the room was great comfortable beds and great breakfast. The only thing that was not good was the pool was closed and it would have been nice to know that before we booked the room
- Annette (10/5): - Great suite room with closed door option for an early riser, or later bedtime option! Also 2 sinks are a great option, too! Good breakfast choices!
- Ronald (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Magdalena (6/5): - Clean room easy access to the parking
- Ed (10/5): - Breakfast was better than expected
- Kathy (10/5): - comfortable rooms
- Julie (8/5): - Staff member that checked me in was not friendly - she spoke abruptly and never smiled?
- Ellen (8/5): - Was close to a grocery store & a gas station. Staff was very nice.
- Richard (6/5): A comfortable and friendly hotel that meets the price point. - The folks were helpful and friendly and the facilities were clean with comfortable beds. It was convenient location for many things in the area. I would not say I didn’t like anything. What I would say is that it is clearly slotting into a lower mid-price category which means that the towels were on the smaller side and the wash linens were not the most soft and smooth. The soap and shower gel were small and not the greatest.
Same goes for the hot breakfast. It was fine and nothing negative, just the type of food you would expect at the price point. I will give a nod to the home made burritos though, that was a nice touch.
- Ronald G (10/5): - The only thing I didn't care for was the toilet. I am 78 and a little taller toilet would be so much easier to stand up when finished.
- John (2/5): - Two queen beds, both bed sheets had urine stains, one far worse than the other, except the other had a hairball on the sheets also. When I went to the front desk to get something to sleep on, no one was at the desk, or even in the hotel according to the sign, and room keys for three more guests who had not yet arrived were on the front counter. Looking back, I should have taken those keys to find a room with a bed without stains. I returned to my room and used the sheets from the pull-out bed which were clean and towels to sleep on. Next time I will travel the 35 minutes to find other otpions.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Nice people The bed was 9 feet tall and short sheeted. The rest was good but I was trying to adjust heat at the unit before later finding the thermostat on the other side of the room. Had to go upstairs for ice. No mile for cereal?
- Jason (6/5): - Pool wasn't open, room had trash under the bed when arrived. Seemed a little under staffed
- Kyle (1/5): Very uncomfortable and I wish I would’ve just booked somewhere else because this was just a hassle and I spent more mone - The location We didn’t have any staff. We were missing pillows. We didn’t have enough blankets. Breakfast didn’t open up when it said.. and not a single person could help me because there was no staff there. I was highly disappointed and very uncomfortable staying here. I would like to request a refund.
- Gary (10/5): Quick stay Bear100 race - Out of season stay so limited staff on site but they went above and beyond to support guests. Traveled w two small dogs hotel was very accommodating
- Marjorie (4/5): Birthday weekend getaway - When first arrived it took almost 15 minutes for someone to wait on us. Then we found out that the pool and hot tub were not working. Then got to our room and found left over food in the refrigerator. Went to have breakfast today and the eggs were not very good and the cream for the coffee was spoiled. The chances of us returning to this place aren't very good.
- Tracy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Catrina (10/5): - Pool isn't working.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not a good place to go - It was not a good experience at all. First, I tried to take a bath in the jetted tubs and a bunch of black mildew came out. Then the power went out due to an ice storm and the fire alarms went off at one thirty am. I went to the front desk to see what was going and there was no staff to be found! Then the attendant came down in only a towel and wouldn't even tell me what was going on.
- Autumn (10/5): - Was thankful they still had rooms in a county wide power outage!! Couldnt thank them enough!!
- Britney (4/5): - Room was dirty. Dirty washer in the shower, sheets had not been changed.
- Kristina (10/5): - The property was clean. The room was clean. Breakfast was not substantial.
- Christa (6/5): - I have stayed here a few times and the pool has been “in need of maintenance” for 3 years. Key cards don’t work on the exterior doors. If the hotel is close to capacity they run out of hot water. One ice machine was working on the second floor.. first floor ice machine was “broke”. The rooms have been updated and are spacious, clean, and plenty of furniture for relaxing. Breakfast is good and free but only available for a few hours. Staff was nice but management needs to repair the pool, hot water, ice machine and exterior locks.
- Nicolas Villanueva (6/5): - The pool was down for maintenance. This was a complete bummer to my two little ones. However the stay was great the staff was super helpful and very nice.
- Lisa (10/5): - Our room was clean and staff was friendly only down fall was they advertise a pool in pictures and description but it’s not available even though there’s water in the pool. Breakfast was alright. I didn’t like the eggs but everything else was good.
- Sam (10/5): - The front desk attendant went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
- Paul (8/5): - Good place to stay for our Club Volleyball weekend. The room was clean and spacious for the Sweet we stayed in. They need to take down all their pool pictures. The pool hasn’t been in service for years and we booked it looking forward to swimming in our free time.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Jay (7/5): Overall good - Location Pool was cold and hot tub was broken
- Lindsey (5/5): All in all it wasn't terrible but over priced for what you get. - Our room was very spacious. The location the the facility we needed was wonderful. The 2 ladies we met working were wonderful and great help with our questions. The pool is broken. It's advertised to have a pool but it is unusable and has been for a few years. The breakfast starts at 7AM when we went down at 8AM it was almost all gone.
- Allison (10/5): - Loved it.. for the price it was very impressive.
- Rick (7/5): It was a great location with friendly staff. I just wish I would have known the pool was broken! - Breakfast was good. The staff upgraded one of our rooms when we found out the pool was broken. The pool was broken.
- Verified traveler (4/5): No Breakfast! - This is the second time in less than a year that we've stayed here and both times we were supposed to have breakfast, and that room is dark and there's no one around. You shouldn't be advertising that there will be breakfast and tell us that there will be at check in if it's not going to be available. There were three other guests that were looking for it also and we all had to go to a restaurant in town.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Rooms were really clean The breakfast started a little late
- Deborah (8/5): Interesting - It was good though upon checking in (I called to say I’d be late) our card was on counter with room key. It was wrapped in paper with our name but I’ve never had that before!
There is a a sign in elevator that says if you want housekeeping to put the sign on the door. We opted not to have house keeping clean up so we didn’t put the sign out, yet while we were trying to nap staff came into our room.
- Pamela (10/5): - Close to where i needed
- Amy (10/5): - Very friendly staff and attentive
- Carrie (1/5): Not clean - Size of room Staff not friendly, breakfast not out at 7sm, noone at front desk. Outside side door not locked and other side wouldn't unlock with the key, checked out with no staff.
- Tanya (2/5): - The pool was broken. We were supposed to get continental breakfast and there was none. Not a single employee around at breakfast time. The heat in our first room didn’t work. Luckily we noticed and got moved to a new room before that employee left.
- Dawn (4/5): - Stay included continental breakfast which was not offered, room was filthy
- Benjamin (3/5): Poor - We left, we didn’t stay, went for the pool and found out after we checked in that the pool was out of order. We ended up going to the casino.
- Russ (6/5): Needs Help - They need to update web site and let people know that pool area is closed and bar is closed. We were hoping for a place to stay over New Years and looking forward to not having to drive anywhere to celebrate the holiday and to find out it was closed. Also the place is falling apart it needs a lot of updating
- Amy (10/5): - The pool is not open but nice place to stay when in area
- Marlene (9/5): The lady that checked me in seems to have lots of responsibility. Give her a raise! - The lady that checked me in, and I was early, was very accommodating. Very helpful. Nothing
- Jessica (10/5): - The PM customer rep was amazing! She was super helpful, and super friendly! Childs pool not operable, but hopefully is a temporary situation
- Lor (8/5): Very good - Small selection
- Claudette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darbie (10/5): - Staff was friendly
- Jakob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hot tub has been down for 5yrs straight. Besides that the employees were super friendly and helpful. Needs repairs done in the bathroom in #107 and side door entrance hasn't worked in 2yrs now.
- Kristal (4/5): - The hotel itself was decent. We had a large room with attempts of upgrades. A couple hole patch jobs in the room that weren't quite finished. Parking was good. We had a group of us staying so that was nice for all of us to stay together. The pool was closed, we didn't know that until we got there, bummer. Probably had the worst breakfast I have ever had at any hotel. Cold eggs, basically all the condiments were empty, no other "hot" item offered. The waffles were okay, that also ran empty. We ended up going elsewhere to eat in the morning.
- David (8/5): - Very nice.
- Terry (8/5): Nice room-reservation was changed on me - This hotel is and was clean.
I booked a king room and when I got to my room it was a twin queen. I had to lug all my gear ( I was on my motorcycle) back to the front desk. To see what was was going on. I showed the person working my confirmation email showing a King room and the cost. I was assured that my cost would not go up because I was getting moved to a king room and again I showed him the price on my email and said that it better not go up. I was also told that somebody at the location changed my reservation to a different type room. This is very frustrating when this happens.
- Jenny (6/5): - Staff was friendly, we found out that nothing was open for food options the evening we were there, they offered to make a pizza for us in the bar/breakfast area. Room was fine. Typical budget stay hotel. I'm not sure I'd stay there again if ever in the area though.
- Tracy (10/5): - Nice hotel. Not far from town.
No Uber or delivery options so that was not cool but it was a nice stay.
- Addison (6/5): - The bathroom was messy at the base of the toilet and we had no tissue paper
- Dan (2/5): Terrible stay - Booked this hotel mainly because it has a pool for my daughter, even though it was about 40 minutes from our destination. Pool was broken, which was extremely frustrating, as it was an advertised amenity. Looks like it was down for a long time, as it was drained. Had to go in the hallway to get wifi signal. Tv worked poorly. Continental breakfast was very small and they were out of coffee.
- Robert (10/5): Great place to stay - Room was very large and spacious. Also up to date room and amenities. Lots of TV channels. Pool was being worked on and closed, but that was OK with us. Breakfast was hot eggs, sausage, waffles and other standard cold items, all good. Only noticeable things in the room; they had done some wall work in the bathroom which was un-painted, toilet seat was loose (I tightened it) and there were 2 bath light bulbs burned out. So, not real complaints. Parking was good, all around cleanliness was very good. Room temp was easily controlled by a thermostat. Easy to get to 2nd floor with quiet elevator. Ice machine was on 2nd floor, don't know if there was one on the 1st floor. Big lobby doors for unloading stuff from the car and sturdy carts for luggage hauling. Ample parking. Will return to this motel again. Happy customer.
- Clarence (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great n plenty n different options also Bed was to hard
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- William (5/5): The only reason we stayed was because we got a spa tub in the room. Nothing special. - Pet friendly and staff friendly. Pool not working and hot tub not working. Breakfast wasn’t terrific.
- Anderson (8/5): Very good -
- Jared (4/5): Hotels.com is a scam - Hotels.com charged my card twice for the room, then didn't send my reservation to the hotel. I was lucky they had an open room and ended up paying more on site for a room. Had to file a complaint with my credit card company to get the double charge refunded. Room has stains on the carpets, and a broken shower head bracket. Also saw a curly hair left on the side of the toilet bowl near the rim. Won't ever stay again or use Hotels.co.
- Candi (4/5): - Rude staff building dirty
- james (8/5): - Clean, quiet and safe.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Marya (10/5): The staff was super friendly, and the room was clean. Amazing deal for the price. I'm impressed. -
- Tipler (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (8/5): - The breakfast was subpar as not keeping food hot and not refilling as it was empty otherwise everything went well for the weekend. Staff was friendly
- Anita (8/5): Very good - Quick easy check-in. Accommodating room locations to keep family together. Pool & Hot Tub still out of.order. I saw previous comments stating pool out of order with the same excuse I received. Continetial breakfast was minimal at best. Scrambled eggs. Waffles
and cereals. Orange juice was really good. The TV & remote were difficult to use. The TV remote did not want to connect.
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (8/5): Stay again - Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Very CLEAN hotel. Didn't like that the pool and hot tub were out of service. But must be just an amazing stay when they are working.
- Karla (8/5): very nice place i have stayed there before and would stay there again. - breakfast meats would be nice. the mattres was a to soft for me could be firmer.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (7/5): Quite, comfortable bed great location. Awful breakfast and pool and hot tub has been down for years. - Quite, comfortable bed, location Pool and hot tub has not been operating for years but they still have pictures of the pool on their website. Breakfast was awful that we decided to eat out. Staff should smile.
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
