- F8425YVsonjab (10/5): Come Visit the Oasis! - We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Humboldt Bay Inn in Eureka! The rooms were very clean and felt luxurious. The kids and adults in our party loved the Oasis pool and hot tub after long days spent exploring the redwoods and beaches in the area! Having a hot breakfast with many options was also much appreciated. A special added surprise was the complimentary limo ride to an area restaurant for dinner! We loved the Humboldt Bay Inn so much we asked to extend our stay by an additional night. To our dismay, hours later, we received word of an incoming storm that affected our travel plans back home to the midwest. The front desk staff were very accommodating, allowing us a late check out (and canceling our newly-booked additional night!) so we had time to change our travel plans back to San Francisco and our flight back home.

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The front desk clerk Ryan was beyond bad and ruined the experience right off the bat. He made me wish we hadn't come I felt like leaving but figured it would be too complicated because we had friends staying in other rooms and had planned to visit.

- Brett (10/5): Our favorite hotel on the north coast, always worth a stay - The volcano jacuzzi and lounge area is the best! The free breakfasts are well staffed, clean, and with a good variety of breakfast items. The rooms are constantly being upgraded, my room was freshly renovated, clean and comfortable. This is a popular place for families, there can be a lot of snot faces running around during peak times.

The kids also had a blast riding in the free limo. Breakfast was free and fantastic at this price point of a hotel. Ample parking. Grocery stores are walkable. Would absolutely stay here again.

- 82ediel (10/5): The BEST Best Western of All - Last weekend I stayed at this property for my second time. WOW! This motel has a grotto jacuzzi with tiki torches and water shooting out. It holds a lot of people and is shaped like a lagoon! There are many cozy seating areas around it some with fireplaces. The pool is a nice size too and has a basketball net. The landscaping is very tropical and it feels like you have gone somewhere very special. The rooms are clean and comfy and there is a free coffee machine by the lobby where you can make fancy coffees and hot chocolate. The free breakfast includes both a waffle and a pancake machine and they have a yogurt bar with fresh berries and granola. Also they always have free taffy on the front desk. There is a free limo that will take you anywhere in Eureka if you want to go out for some wine or ??? This feels a lot more like a resort than a motel . . . highly recommend!!! Oh and did mention the service is excellent.
- kikicruz6 (10/5): Clean, modern--especially great amenities - Had to stop for the night in Eureka on a long driving trip, and basically picked this one out of a hat while driving through town. What a lucky call! The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern--but what really sets the Humboldt Bay Inn apart is the beautiful lounge area (Oasis), with a neat pool, hot tub, game room, and food/drink area. I hadn't brought a swimsuit, but I did take advantage of the friendly shuttle service to nearby restaurants/bars. The "shuttle" is actually a limo, and the driver works for tips. After driving all day, it was so nice to let someone do it for me and pick me up afterward. The breakfast was also very much a cut above typical motel fare, with really fresh food and a yogurt machine. 100% would book again. Make sure you don't mix it up with the OTHER Best Western in Eureka.
- 261jent (10/5): Definitely go to the Oasis! - We debated on where to stay in Eureka on our drive back down south after visiting the redwoods. We decided to stay here at the Best Western and we are so happy we did. The room was recently renovated. It was clean and very quiet on the second floor. After a day of hiking and driving we were tired and a little sore. We checked out the Oasis and ended up sitting in the hot tub and next to the fireplace for an hour. It was so peaceful even in the light rain. The whole area was thoughtfully planned with cozy seating areas and lighting, fireplace, fire pit, pool table, large heated pool and a huge hot tub complete with waterfalls. The free breakfast was well done and filling. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Room was clean enough, a little dated. The carpet had a musty old smell, made the room feel dirty. Parking lot was tight and very crowded, lots of people hanging out in the parking lot.

Zimmer war sehr dunkel und klein (für 4 Personen). Das Hotel liegt zwischen zwei viel befahrenen Hauptstrassen > permanenter Lärm. Die Hotelumgebung ist industriell geprägt und es hat einige Obdachlose. Nach 19 Uhr sollte man sich nur mit Auto bewegen.

I had to put nice smelling tea bags around my head to sleep. If we weren't exhausted from driving all day we would have changed hotels.

The room was very clean and everything was functional and modern. The pool area beautiful and thw fitness center was fantastic. The water bottle fill station was barely more than trickle, and the pillows were WAY too thick. They hurt my wife's neck and mine. We had to sleep most of the night without them. Please let your properties have some thinner pillows available, Best Western!

The breakfast, which was the most important part of my day was incredible- the quality is top-notch, fresh. Organic and locally sourced! Was here for work and always started early so, to have fresh eggs, potatoes, sausages, yogurt, blueberries, etc to start my very busy day was awesome. Did not have the chance to use the pool, etc but it looked so clean. Cleaning service was also great! I highly recommend this Best Western hotel! It was the best!

The restaurant Cathrine’s serves good continental and American food. It’s basically a bed and breakfast kind of place. Coffee in the breakfast room was really good. They also have a coffee station in the lobby area. Bathroom window did not open but maintenance sorted that out. Breakfast is very, very so so.

From the moment we arrived, front desk staff was amazing. I dealt with three different front desk people and all were great. Aaron was so amazing. And the morning breakfast person,Viviana was so gracious and helpful. The whole inner complex with pool, sauna, weight room, and eating facility was a dream! I cant think of another word for it. Facilities was incredible to with Dorian a presence throughout opening the pool and taking care of the grounds. Our family has decided to always us the spot for our Coast trip. We especially like the adjoining restaurant the staff and food are excelle - The staff and premises are very well kept and very courteous. It is one of the nicest I’ve stayed. The location is perfect for touring Avenue Of The Giants redwoods
- Montina (9/5): We had a good stay, I would stay again. - I liked the breakfast, the "Hawaii in Eureka" vibes, and the general quality of the finishes, granite countertops in the bathroom, the coastal modern style of the exterior. Minor Items: spring mattresses, carpeted floors in a humid climate, bright green wifi light over the bed at night, no vent fans in the bathrooms, window latch broken in the bathroom, the soap was thrown away every day like we were still in the 1990s.
- Homelessx2 (8/5): What a pleasure to stay here! - Eureka gently calls our names due to the excellent restaurants. Helps, since it is on the way back south. Had not stayed here before, but am SO glad that we did! So clean, fiercely clean. No elevators, but only one flight of steps, so no biggie. Dinner? There's a LIMO to take you to your restaurant of choice! We walked, but that's on us for missing a chance to be even more decadent. Didn't breakfast with them, but did check it out. It's in an inner courtyard, with tables set up here and there. Very nice, Best Western. Has an additional coffee machine just off the lobby, grinds the beans. And, there is a drive thru coffee shop just steps away, if you have a serious caffeine habit, as I do. Has washers and dryers, used by us with relief, as we were about out of clean clothes. And, the desk has quarters, should you need them. So, location, clean, w/d, parking. What more? Only the nicest front desk we have ever experienced! Upbeat, friendly, helpful, kind - you get it: all those great adjectives you like to read about in a lodgings review. For me, the best was that they are NOT "pet friendly". No dogs or cats or... No animal noise, no worrying about pets off leash or, worst, urine and feces in inconvenient places. No smelly bedspreads or flooring to close up my airway. This was an unexpected gift from the gods. We plan to always return when in the area. Thank you, BW Eureka!
- Melvin (10/5): A+++++++ - Comfortable room, jacuzzi was amazing, whole pool area just wonderful. Easy walk to downtown square, great restaurant on same lot. No complaints, actually stayed an extra night.
- Lauren (8/5): Beautiful place . We will return - The property was center located . Was safe , comfortable and close to anything . I love the oasis .. hot tub was amazing and the fire pits were cozy! I loved it here . The bathrooms are a bit small , and none of the outlets for charging phones and stuff worked. The plug ins for the lamps wouldn’t charge either . We finally got an outlet to work to charge our phones on the desk but many of them did not work at all.

- Dominique (8/5): Hôtel de chaîne - Best western sans surprise ! sauf ne prenez pas la chambre à 2 lits il vous faudra dormir séparément car le lit est petit pour 2. Chambre confortable literie bien et sdb idem. L’accueil de la réceptionniste vite expédié, carte magnétique qui ne fonctionne pas à chaque retour de la chambre obligée de se rendre à la réception !.
- 655vondas (8/5): Best Western - We stayed there for a music festival. The included breakfast was very good. Lovely hot tub, pool and patio area. Actually everything was great except for the noise in unit above us. Also, we were very disappointed that we did not have a safe in our room.

- Ronald (10/5): - This property for exceeded our expectations, especially on the stuff that matters most. Excellent mattress, a variety of pillows, spacious room, and large TV. In addition, the facilities were very modern even though it’s an old building. Nice pool and Hot Tub were an added bonus. And the service at the front desk was always friendly, informative, and helpful. they also have a free stretch limo service for guest!!! This was not the newest, but was certainly among the favorite places. We stayed on a nine day trip from Portland, Oregon down the coast to the redwood forest, then Sacramento.
- Erica (3/5): Overpriced and not friendly. - Rooms were updated and clean Stacy in the front office was incredibly rude, the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered at a hotel. Very overpriced for amenities and location.
