Guest Reviews
- Steven (8/5): - Friendly staff. Nice room with a good view!
- Margo (8/5): Not much breakfast - Hotel is old but clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was not much to speak of. Not much choice and only a couple of any thing which was gone fast.
- Michelle (10/5): Clean motel! - Overall this is a very clean motel, to be an older motel. Appears on the outside weren’t much but on the inside, the rooms are nice and most importantly CLEAN!!
Sort of wish they’d fix the pool. Outside of that, worth the rate.
- NANCY (8/5): - Quiet
- Marcy (10/5): - Really nice place. Seemed to be newly remodeled. Nice atmosphere and exceptional staff. We will definitely stay here again.
- Randi (4/5): - View was good, other than that not great.
- Kendall (6/5): - Bed was uncomfortable. Room and area around the hotel is dirty. There is no trailer parking
- Kenneth (10/5): - Good updated rooms
- Marcia (8/5): - This is an older facility so don't expect pristine conditions. It was clean and no bugs plus it was quiet.
- Michael (6/5): - The room was not very clean. Something was splattered on the toilet room wall, the door was dirty from handprints, and there was some dirt in the corner. This is not a pet-friendly location. Had to sign a doc that said we had no pets. It is located on top of a hill out of sight of the highway with very little visible signage.
- Tamsyn (4/5): - The room was clean and appeared recently updated—but around 2am, we discovered bed bugs. Lots of bed bugs crawling about. My husband bagged a few and took them to the front desk. We were moved to another room, but the rest of the night was anything but restful. We spent the next morning sanitizing everything, which is the last thing any stock show family wants to deal with on show day.
The front desk staff was friendly, but housekeeping admitted they already knew about the bed bugs. When I asked for a refund, they refused, citing “policy.” Worst of all, I saw the original room being turned over for the next guest. Be warned: the rooms may look okay, but they have bed bugs—and the staff knows it.
- Carl (8/5): Just one night - AC was off when we arrived on a hot and humid day. The room finally became comfortable early the next morning. I was concerned that the filters might be dirty, but they were clean. The swimming pool was closed. We don’t care about swimming, but access might create more stays.
- Gary (8/5): - Realized the truck traffic noise was somewhat intrusive all night
- Brian (10/5): - First time here. Will stay again.
- Timothy (4/5): - The smell in room was awful. The carpets were very dirty with pet stains. My allergies were miserable because of the this. People pay extra for extra cleaning after pets but it was not applied correctly
- Cody (10/5): - Clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): Less than what I expected with Quality Inn - Room was overall comfortable and clean. My complaint is about the breakfast. I was expecting at least something to be offered. Also water went from warm to cold in the middle of second persons shower.
- Sara (10/5): - First room was a bit cold be he gladly moved us to another room. Very nice guy.
- Margo (6/5): Disappointed this time - Have stayed here several times when it was Best Western. Apparently they are switching over to be Quality Inn. So no free breakfast. No ice machine. Had to call to get them to get TV on. Shower turned ice cold soon as I got in! And we seemed to be only guests there! Was disappointed this time. Hoping it gets better as we visit about once a year and not much choice in town.
- Patrick (6/5): - Dirty inside and outside. Staff was friendly
- Carrie (6/5): - They do not have breakfast stated remodeling but I was told it’s been that way over a year and didn’t show anything being worked on. Wi-Fi was slow and sketchy
- constance (6/5): - they had no free breakfast on friday morning and there was no noticed
- Alfonso M (8/5): Good clean stay - Nice, clean room. Simple accommodations.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Ok
- Brian (10/5): - Great service and breakfast bar was great!
- Arline (2/5): - Did not have my reservation
- Peggy (4/5): - Beautiful Beautiful view of the town
- Richie (8/5): - Liked it having one-way access with tenant traffic only and high above any roadway
- William (2/5): - Stinky
- City of (6/5): Transitioning and Dated - The property is transitioning from Best Western to Choice / Quality Inn. Therefore, there was a delay in check-in trying to find the reservation. This property is definitely dated and does need updating. Other than the door lock / deadbolt, the room did not have an added security lock on the door. Although overall clean, there was hair collected in shower drain that had to be removed prior to showering. The staff was very courteous and welcoming.
- Tom (8/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good beds. Good wifi. Great view out your window. Only negative was low water pressure.
- Hayley (6/5): - Nice quiet setting. Did have a funny smell in our room. The TV did not work and there was mold on the shower curtain.
- Martin (10/5): - Could not get the TV to work.
- Rachel (8/5): - the room was clean and the staff was really welcoming. We booked 2 days and were expecting using the pool. it wasn’t working. disappointed :(
Overall we recommend this hotel
- Tresia (10/5): - We like it all around.
- Chris (4/5): - The staff was friendly, check in went fine. The room was a disappointment. We stayed there in 2017 it was very clean and the people who owned it had it in shape and very clean. Apparently there was a change in ownership, because it was not clean. The carpet had spots on it, my socks got dirty walking on it. The bathroom had a portion of rotten dry wall from water damage. Looked like they tried to fix it but had mold on it. The shower curtain had black mold along the bottom of it. The bedding didn't smell fresh didn't look that the sheets didn't look as if hadn't been changed. And Nats we're flying around the coffee pot. I will not be staying there again. You expect to have a clean fresh room for $105.00 a night. What we got was a Motel 6 quality room.
- Angie (4/5): - Our mattress was disgustingly stained & all the rooms we had reserved for our family (5) were musty smelling. The outside of rooms areas were not clean, and smelled horribly! Our mom's room was completely unsafe as it did not have a deadbolt or chain lock. Breakfast was NOT a breakfast. We should have been told in advance the pool was NOT EVEN USABLE.
The only 2 good things - Samantha at check in & a very sweet housekeeping woman.
So very disappointed in our whole stay.
- Michael (10/5): - It was easy in a
Nf out
- Margo (10/5): Nice place to stay - Nice hotel. Friendly staff and room was nice. Good bed and pillows. Good water pressure in shower. Also has a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was standard. Good start for the day.
- Jeff (4/5): - Not a good place for a family to stay. Lots of sketchy people hanging around all hours of the night.
- Delvan (4/5): - Room was dirty. Cobwebs in corners. Spider hanging from lamp. Was told this site was pet friendly but no area to go to for dog to relieve herself. Driveway was steep and limited parking at area to check in. There was ample parking behind the building. I in all clear conscience can not recommend this hotel.
- Rachel (8/5): - The free breakfast was great. The staff was very nice.
- adam (8/5): - The view was amazing, the breakfast was really good, staff was really helpful, we enjoyed our stay.
- Gerald (6/5): -
The breakfast items were limited. No available juice for us to drink. disappointing considering the cost of the room.
- Nora (8/5): - Very Clean
- Kim (8/5): Nice for the price - This was a nice motel. Staircases had spiders, but other than that nice for the price
- Nancy (6/5): - The bed was very uncomfortable, there were a lot of dead bugs on the window sill above the AC.
- Kerrie (8/5): - It was overall a good experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Outdated - Needs updating. Furnishings are old and not in the best shape. Beds are hard and uncomfortable.
- William (4/5): - The staff was helpful, but the place is "tired."
- Mick (2/5): Needs cleaning and remodeling - CONS
1. We reluctantly checked in after seeing the outside. Upon entering the room we decided quickly that we wouldn’t be staying.
The room was full of flies and clearly old.
2. The pool was green which was the only reason why we booked it since it was getting late and we were tired.
3. Google map didn’t have the right location.
PROS:
1. The front desk young guy was very friendly.
We understood that it wasn’t going to be a 5 star since it’s a small town, but were extremely disappointed based on the reviews. Needless to say we drove another hour and a half and stay elsewhere.
- Joe (8/5): - Okay but nothing great
- Joan (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Staff helpful about local restaurants.
- Darrell (10/5): Excellent hotel in a small Arkansas town. - The staff was very friendly. The hotel was in great condition and sat on top of the hill with a nice view of the city. Would definitely stay again.
- Jamie (6/5): - Needs to be cleaned up , but you can tell they have done a lot of work to convert it into a BW. The stay was adequate for the price. Beautiful view!
- leigh (10/5): - The girl that checked me in was so friendly!
- Toni (10/5): - Nice beds and pillow selection. We slept well. Thank you.
- Emily (2/5): I will never stay there again - No ice, no wifi, insufficient supply of daily sundries, did not make the beds , did not empty the trash, shower needed to be cleaner, no extra effort in regards to Covid, needed upgrading.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Needs some improvement - It was ok. The breakfast could be greatly improved. The juice was very watered down. Barely tasted like fruit juice. The fresh fruit choices were extremely poor. Maybe only 2 poor apples and the bananas were borderline rotten. The biscuits seemed to have been reheated from previous days. The yogurt choices only included sugar sweetened yogurt. Need to offer plain, Greek yogurt. Also, no hot tea was available.
The room was ok. Every time the refrigerator kicked on the tv went off momentarily. The corners of the floor in the bathroom needed a deep cleaning. Also a crack in the sheet rock above toilet.
- Alan (4/5): - Yes, it is the only motel in town and the desk clerk was friendly and helpful BUT the room’s sink was clogged and missing its stopper and the sheets were blood stained.
Definitely not worthy of the Best Western Brand.
- ron (8/5): - friendly staff,
reasonable rates
cleanenvironment
- Mary (6/5): - Very dated property, lacking pleasing surroundings or amenities
- mark (10/5): I'd stay there again. - Good hotel, clean and comfortable.
- Wendy (10/5): Pleased - Personable check-in, pleasant staff. This is an older hotel but was just fine for an overnight stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - King bed was too hard, bathroom door had a hole in it, and the chair in the room had a big stain on the arm. AC worked great! Staff was friendly. Only needed to stay for 1night, it worked fine for that.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a place to stay overnight. No frills. Some kind of breakfast in a bag. Loved being close to the highway which made it convenient to come and go.
- Roger (8/5): Good place to stay. - Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. Sink drain was slow and TV lost signal twice. Beds were very comfortable and gave us great rest.
- Jennifer (6/5): A basic stay - It was a very basic hotel stay. The complimentary “breakfast” consisted of brown paper bags lined up on a folding table. The pool was covered and not usable. The beds were firm. We were provided with 3 wash cloths and towels. The water was warm, and the room was clean. It was ok for one night, but we will not return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
Room was plain but clean. Good deal for the price
- Patra (10/5): Great stay. - The guy at the front desk was fantastic. He was so friendly and made everything very easy. I clean for a living and it was the cleanest bathroom I'd seen and we stay in hotels all the time.
- Jennifer (8/5): Just okay. No breakfast whatsoever due to COVID. - For a cheap hotel, it was sufficient. No breakfast whatsoever due to COVID. So if it says "free breakfast" on the booking it's false advertisement. No Gideon Bible in the rooms. It was clean. Beds were firm. But with this being a hotel with the doors facing the outside and the tremendous amount of bugs outside I spent the first half an hour killing those small flies that get into your room just by getting your stuff from the car to the room!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When we got into our room, we noticed that it had been smoked in. Since we had reserved a non-smoking room and that I was asthmatic, and the placard on the door stated it was a non-smoking room, this was a problem…an unacceptable one, but one that this crummy establishment would end up jamming down our throats and steal our money from us in the process. I called the office and complained about it. I was told that the previous guest had smoked in it and was fined. While Best Western profited from the fine, it was no recompense for the unacceptable condition Best Western subsequently forced on us and certainly did not address the very unhealthy situation at hand. We still didn’t want to have a room that had been smoked in, I was still asthmatic and we were still being charged for use of a smoke stenched room. They should have told us that the non-smoking room had been smoked in by the previous guest and given us other options, including cancelling the reservation at no charge to us. They knowingly put us in a non-smoking room that had been smoked in taking full advantage of the fact and knowing full well that there were no other accommodations to be had elsewhere due to the holiday weekend. The room was filthy and dusty. Who knows what else hadn’t been cleaned. I sent an email to corporate but they never responded. When I went to make coffee, the coffee maker hadn’t been cleaned and used coffee ground packets were still in it. (More issues but no room to write)
- Penny (8/5): - Very friendly and reasonable price. Clean and comfortable.
- Margo (8/5): Nice place - Room was clean and comfortable but had to call desk for bath towel. Then called again for soap but she was very nice and apologetic. Apparently the cleaning crew forgot to restock!
- Christina (10/5): Nice Motel - Over all the stay was great! The location was wonderful. We had an 2nd floor room; however, we didn’t have to climb stairs to get to our room. The second floor rooms were at ground level on the backside of the motel. I would definitely stay here again.
- Joy (8/5): Everything we needed - This is an older motel but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the young lady at the desk, owner, was so nice@
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was very dirty. There was food left overs on the tv stand and stains on the TV guide. There was red ? Food stained on the wall by the trash can. Did not feel clean/sanitized at all.
- Kendra (8/5): Ok - I expected more from a BW
- Clayton (8/5): - Rooms were clean, ac worked fine. worked great for an overnight stay
- Kevin (6/5): - I booked two rooms and the second room was paid my friend, but why did Best Western Hillside Inn still charge my credit card two rooms?
- Tammy (4/5): Unhappy camper - Mom and I went up for a wedding and stayed here because it was close to the church and was recommended. The first room had mold in the bathroom. We were moved to another room. The air-condition was off in both rooms and stunk. We did stay but was not pleased at all. Will not stay there again.
- Linda (6/5): - Traveling through on a mini vacay with family. All was good except they had no cont. breakfast which I understand due to COVID but they should adjust the price accordingly.
- Amy (10/5): - Super great people! Very helpful. Very clean and well stocked with amenities. We’ll definitely be back!
- Nate (10/5): - The girl at the desk, Devine, was so welcoming and made our stay terrific. From my extra requests to the extremity at which the hotel rooms are cleaned due to COVID-19, I will definitely stay here again when I am back in the area. The entire family running the property showed true hospitality and I look forward to returning back here.
- Jamie (8/5): Good hotel for a small town - Good hotel for a small town.
- Lou (8/5): - It was cold I came into room closed the drapes turned on the heat. I left was gone a few hours got back after dark really cold went into room and someone came in opened my drapes and turned the heat off.
Got up the next morning went down for coffee. No coffee. The machines was out of order. Not good
- Jamie (8/5): BW Hillside Inn Clinton, Ar - Nice hotel for a small town. Family owned, very helpful staffing.
- Garry (10/5): - The rooms were clean and exceptionally nice. They also provided an excellent breakfast.
There wasn't that i didn't like.
- Pamala (10/5): Nice stay - Everything was good. No complaints
- Lawrence (10/5): - OK
- Jamie (10/5): - Initial checkin had issue with virtual billing through hotels.com but it was handled quickly. Very nice hotel for a rural small town.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not impressive but not terrible - This older motel is in very nice renovated condition. They have done the best possible considering the age of the place. Very clean and tile in shower is nice, showerhead pressure and temp was great. That being said, the walls and floors are so thin that every little noise can be heard. High heels clicking upstairs, cars running outside, and the guy facetiming his kid next door. There is no way to turn on just the fan for white noise to help drown out these sounds. There was not a ton of guest activity overnight, but it rained pretty heavy and every drop in the gutter was amplified. I did not sleep well. Breakfast room was about 95 degrees (in November) with a sign that says keep the door closed and an AC that doesn't work. Office was closed and clerk asleep at 8:30am on a Thursday. I will try the Super 8 next time which I believe is the only other choice in this area.
- Ginny (10/5): - The room was very comfortable. The management was most helpful in answering questions. the breakfasts were great.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We were greatly overcharged for this room and I expect someone to call me to set things right. The room was $78 and Travelocity charged $92 plus fees. $113. I will start telling everyone and posting if I don’t get a call today. Or email. You have the email address
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice views. Clean, updated, friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Breakfast area is very small. It gets very crowded during the complimentary breakfast time.
- Stephanie (10/5): I’d stay there again. - The check in was quick and efficient. The hotel in older, but clean and the rooms were comfortable. The view was awesome!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, but our shower head sprayed over curtain out of shower - and the staff failed (two days in a row) to guve me a wake up call.
- perry (6/5): Okay Stay - Nice 2star on way to Branson
- Mommy854 (8/5): - Our room was clean and had comfy beds. This is a quiet location with a very friendly staff.
