Tina (7/5): Great spot beware of the trains - There is a railway at the back of the property. It is loud and goes on all night (not constantly). Recommend to request rooms in the lower numbers which means the room is closer to the front. The suite was excellent and the hotel is clean and well located.

Amber (7/5): Pricey Water slide facility; there will be noise. - Clean, cozy room with mini-fridge and comfortable bed! Easily found. This venue felt overpriced. Had I realized this was a water slide facility I would not have booked it. It’s difficult for hotel staff to prevent screaming children running madly in the hall outside my room. Better for families who are willing to cope with such situations. An adult bellowed into the hall, “we’ve had a complaint!!!” to the children - sigh. I was not alone. I wonder if staff can reserve a floor or section for patrons without children.
Stonecutter099 (8/5): My Go-To Stop while Passing Through to the US - Cranbrook is at the half-way point to a spot I like to go fishing at in Idaho from my home town near Edmonton, Alberta. For two years in a row, I've stayed at this hotel for the overnight rest. Although conveniently located on the main drag through the city, the hotel itself is quiet and cozy, and very near many local restaurants and stores that one might frequent when nighting over. The beds were incredibly soft, and clean. The bathrooms were the same. I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite in this hotel, so yay me! The staff were really friendly and the check-in/check-out process was quick and efficient. I will certainly be back when I head down to the states next February!

Jennifer (10/5): Best place to stay for convenience and best place for the children with the water slide - the staff are very helpful and friendly especially the cleaning staff are so nice and helpful and approachable, they always make you feel ok to ask them for more pool towels etc. the gardens and hanging baskets out front were particularly nice and well kept our truck was broken into in the night and our tent was stolen, that was unfortunate.

John (7/5): - I liked the quick & efficient check-in. I liked the rooms and the fact that everything was very clean. I did not like the fact that the waterslide was broken, and the only reason we chose this hotel was the fact that it had a waterslide and the kids were really looking forward to it. There was no note or indication upon booking that it was down. I also did not like that there was a 3rd party restaurant on site and not a continental breakfast. The prices in the restaurant were too high to afford taking my whole family there.

elizabethCanada (10/5): Definitely stop here - Stopped here after riding the Alaska Hwy., hotel was very nice, rooms were 5 star, pillows are 5 star, bed was 5 star. These folks had good coffee the only negative would be low water pressure and I don't think that's there fault
Tanya (10/5): - We unexpectedly booked the penthouse suite for our family of 6 and we felt like royalty. Clean room. Great pool. Very close to train tracks so be aware as they came through at around 3 in the morning and startled me.
Yevgeny (6/5): - Everything was fine, except for one thing - the day before we arrived I called the hotel to ask if the slide works, as that was important for the kids, and the answer was that it works, and no need to worry. But after we checked-in, the staff told us that the slide doesn’t work since its broken. After we explained that we were told that it works, they magically fixed it. The next morning, the slide didn’t work again and they turned it on only after we spoke with the supervisor. I wouldn’t say a word, but they told us when I called that it’s perfectly working, and in fact they turned it on in the end. Looks like they just try not to turn it on until you insist.

Lorri (4/5): - Our room had an awful smell and the front desk manager only offered a partial refund after several attempts of trying to rectify the situation. He did not seem professional and didn’t seem that he really cared. He blamed it on a long term stay that was in the room before we checked in…..something that I don’t believe he needed to share with us. He offered to move us to a downgraded room the following day for a higher cost which obviously wasn’t a fit solution in my mind. The next day he seemed more level headed and offered us a lateral move. The situation was handled in a poor manor, and I won’t be going back to this hotel the next time I’m in town.

Bojan (10/5): One night in Cranbrook :-) - We booked room for 5, so we got separate bedroom with own bathroom. Nice living room, with pull out sofa bed, with kitchen and dining table. We stayed one night only but room is so Spacious that is more than enough for longer stay. Pool is clean, slide is good for kids and parents too. Overall, very good place to stay.

F8577RKsueh (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - HORRIBLE - The greeting at the hotel was horrible. The front counter staff (male) was argumentative and not welcoming. We requested to be moved/accommodated in a different room (willing to pay the difference to upgrade) but staff denied request stating same was not available. Found an available room online as requested - staff hung up phone when called to request room change. He advised tomorrow's staff would approve request. NO ONE ever contacted us, or accommodated our request. We will not stay here again.

Restaurant in the hotel was 3rd party owned. It is Mediterranean food and thus different to what one considers tradional. Good however! It was typical of a number of the groups hotels I have stayed in and met all their standards. Indians on reception were special!

GlobeTrotting541221 (4/5): No accessible room - When I booked the Prestige Cranbrook I specifically asked for an accessible room. I was never informed that you did not provided “accessible rooms” according to the standards outlined in the Accessible British Columbia Act. Room 116 at The Prestige Cranbrook does not meet the requirements and should not be offered The bathroom does not meet the standards of an accessible bathroom room. I don’t have to write a book about it but the toilet /bathub in an inclosed room where a person with disability cannot move easily . You cannot go in with a walker never mind a wheelchair? Two toilet paper holders? Never mind the confine toilet boit was jammed between the wall and seat. My husband who has the disabilities USED THE BATHROOM DOWN THE HALL. I don’t consider myself big or overweight and it was not comfortable for me. It was so confined. There were no other options and for a caregiver it was stressful. Due to the location of room 116 You could not ask for a room any further it was at the end of the hallway next to ice machine, laundry room and game room. There is a restaurant, I was not staying at the Empress hotel to order a la carte. Toast with egg and sausage please….no it comes with potatoes so no toast . For the person reading this review I don’t usually complain but this was not a great stay for the caregiver I am. Prestige Cranbrook DOES NOT HAVE ACCESSIBLE ROOM.

Roland (7/5): Good - good restaurant. clean facility. it was booked solid. They did. not replace towels used during my. 4 day stay! I liked the spacious rooms. Many of the TV chanels were not working. it was disappointing not to be able to see some of the sport games. Also several of the front staff spoke limited english and it was very difficult to understand them.
