- Reynald (10/5): - I don’t often leave a review and I hate to leave a 10 out of 10 review but this property deserves it. It is a real gem in a small town in south Louisiana. Staff were very friendly and helpful room was quite comfortable. Parking was easy which was important because I was pulling a boat trailer. The hotel has an adjacent restaurant which was closed on Sunday sadly but was open for lunch on Monday. Never had a better Poboy. Definitely on my list for a revisit when I am in the area.

In both cases she was immediately helpful and cheerful - no questions asked. So nice to have service like this nowadays.

We were a large group and they handled everything from the room block to check-out without a hitch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I love having a full kitchen in the room. Having breakfast included in my stay is a big plus. BTW, the breakfast was amazing!

- Michael (4/5): - Noisy continuous running toilet. It worked sometimes if you jiggled the nob or took off back lid and released flapper. Several electrical plugs had no electricity to recharge IPhones. Clock did not work. TV remote was sticky! Could hear trucks from Main Street late at night.

I waited for at least 10 minutes and called the property on the phone several times but never got an answer. I almost called the local Police because I was afraid that something was seriously wrong. After getting to the room and turning the TV on i discovered that the e TV remote didn't work.I brought it back to the front desk and the attendant changed the batteries. So when I get back to the room, it still doesn't work. I then attempted to change the channels manually, but then I got nothing. No TV the rest of the night. Then I discovered the toilet didn't work properly. I had to perform maintenance on the water fill system. By then I was just disgusted and went to bed. One of the problems is that it's the only hotel in town. So if you stay in Franklin this is it.

First, the room has not seen an update since it was built in the 80's, or maybe 70's. The bed was so uncomfortable. We didn't get there until around 1am so we did not leave. We had to bite the bullet and stay. The worst part was when my daughter went in the bathroom and came right back out and said there are 3 roaches in there. We normally would leave, but it was so late and we'd been driving all day. We didn't unpack. We only saw roaches in the bathroom. The microwave and fridge are in there also. The whole room just felt not clean. We canceled the rest of our stay, and moved to a hotel in the next town. We needed to stay 3 nights. My in-laws also had the same problem but with empty beer bottles in the closet. Hotels.com understood and helped with getting a different hotel. Please avoid this hotel at all costs! I wish I could leave negative stars.

- cheryld879 (4/5): Don’t rent Jacuzzi room No Hot Water to fill the tub - Rented room with jacuzzi tub NO HOT Water could not fill the tub to get over the jets!! Ice cold water !! Don’t waste your money for extra service you don’t receive. Asked for partial refund from the jacuzzi room to regular room !! I was told did you tell the night clerk yes I did. Did she offer to move you ? Yes after we had already experienced the problem and was heading out in morning . She looked at me like I was crazy !! Bambi the day clerk figured that was the answer to the problem. Problem is after your all setup after a long drive that you don’t want to start moving to a different room when you’re on a time schedule and undressed to take a bath ….,,,,with Cold Water!! Just Rude (Bambi ) My husband Brian & myself were not too happy with the service!

Breakfast is outstanding. However, in the last two years, I have visited three times.. and the pool has NEVER been open. The website should be updated. There is no excuse not to have it open in JULY!
- Inspire60078909978 (10/5): Great place to stay! - We were in town for a family reunion and this was one of the host hotels. I loved the 1/2 bath and separate living room. When family came to the room, we were not cramped for space and seating. The full kitchen was great. We brought food and cooked a late night snack for movie watching.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor - Our stay was definitely disappointing the air conditioning was very loud and sounded like a thunderstorm all night and it didn't even cool the room. There was roaches, the door had cracks so there was alot of black bugs that was in the bed and the bathroom. There were other black bigger bugs that probably crawled in through the door cracks. We only had face towels our first night, but we made it with the towels that were left. The only good things was that check in and checking out was a breeze and the employees were very friendly.

There is am outdoor pool when open or a place to sit with friends and BBQ. The Forest restaurant is located in the front of the hotel. We looked forward to there Morning breakfast all the time, but I think the restaurant is not serving breakfast anymore. I have heard that the lunch and dinner is really good by my husband, so next time I'm going to have dine in for lunch or dinner next time around. It's a really good place to stay at the Forest Inn Best Western.

- Darrin (10/5): Nice relaxing over night stay - We had intended to stay at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel, but they were sold out. So when this happens we always stay at the Franklin Best Western. The building is somewhat dilapidated, however upon entering the room it is nice, free of cigarette smoke smell, and clean. The bathroom is very small, but the shower had a lot of water pressure and the water definitely got plenty hot. The room came with a mini fridge, and a microwave. The ac system kept the room nice and cool despite the 94 degree temperature outside. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. All in all, I would say I was satisfied with the stay.
