- Molly (8/5): Good for the night... - Beware of the entry driveway - there is a considerably steep incline upon arrival. We laughed about it, but it could scare others or even damage your vehicle if too low to the ground... The room was good, but muggy, sticky, wet, humid. The AC unit was trying to cool the room, but it was just soggy feeling. The breakfast was meagre, but we made it work. We felt safe in the area of town too. Note: it is located near a train track if you are easily bothered too...

There are some things that need to be repaired d due to wear and tear. The staff is always friendly and helpful. BW is our choice in the city. Thanks for keeping our town on the map with a major hotel chain.

- Karl (2/5): Never staying here again. - I was booked for 2 nights checking in on Sunday checking out on Tuesday. While checking in I asked the lady and she said it showed me staying for that time period. When I was at work on Monday someone from the hotel called scolding me for not taking my belongings with me. She said I was only booked for one night and the room was already reserved for someone else. I argued back and then told her I have email confirming. When I got to th property after work. Everyone had amnesia and didn’t know who that was. There were 2 associates at the desk, one that was helping me and the other was listening to vulgar TikTok videos playing out loud at her computer. I will never stay at this property again.

Every detail taken care of from the bars in the bathroom to the beds low enough (could be just a little higher) easy to get in but hard to get up. Very spacious and close to the elevator. Our stay was one night. Wish we could have enjoyed the poll and sauna!

- 848alfredat (2/5): Avoid this place at all cost. - We stayed at the best western hotel DeSoto in Mansfield Louisiana during the week of April fourth through the eighth. The room was dirty, In the bathroom behind the toilet paper was a red cap with a white crystal substance in it.(I found this while changing the toilet paper roll)I called the front desk. They seem to have no concern about the substance. I wanted it removed. I had to ask for gloves and a plastic bag to put it in, and then I had to call the police to report the substance. The manager at the hotel will not call you back. I've left 5 messages. Requesting calls requested him to see me or call me when we still staying in the hotel. The night we arrived, it was late. We asked to moved to another room. They said there were no other room available. So we went to the store and got cleaning products and cleaned the room to the best of our ability. Pubic hairs in the shower hairs all over the bathroom floor pubic hairs under the toilet seat. A stain on the chair in the room that appeared to be from body fluids. Please don't stay at this hotel, especially if you have small children, especially if you have children that may be on the floor crawling. There's no telling what they will come across in this hotel. The lack of regard from the manager whom I'm almost certain is the owner is appalling.

- cajunpawsforacause (6/5): Was great last year, not so much now. - This is my second stay here. The first was wonderful. This year sucked. Of the three clerks I encountered, two were sweet. One couldn't be bothered. The bed had pubic hair. The TV didn't work, so I tried calling the front desk... the phone didn't work. I go downstairs and get handed a remote and told I have to reset it then bring the remote back. On top of that, every single morning the phone rang at 4 am!!!!! When I would answer it, there would be a recording saying "recording not available." Housekeeping never showed up until an hour before checkout to ask if we needed towels. The room was never cleaned during our stay.

We requested new sheets and changed them ourselves. Also didnt like the fact that they chain up the back patio area & refuse to open it when kids are swimming. Its hot & loud inside the indoor pool area. I much rather sit outside & watch kids (15 yr old) through the window / door.

I was very impressed with Best Western-super friendly staff-from desk clerk to housekeeping to breakfast staff. And the breakfast was extensive-even waffles and biscuits and gravy! My room was very clean and comfortable.

- 433michael1969 (4/5): Make the long drive from Shreveport! - Room smelled like smoke and cheap cologne. Check in staff was rude. I complained about a smoke smell in the room and the check on staff argued that it was a smoke-free facility. I had to explain that people don’t follow the rules. Hotel management brought in a machine to filter the air, but it also put out a very strong perfume odor. They also had Damp-Rid buckets in the room. They much deal with some moisture issues in the room. If working in Mansfield, you may be better off staying at a Hilton or Marriott property in Shreveport. I shortened my stay by one night and found a suite at a Hilton property near the Shreveport airport for the same price.

- dalerbwade (10/5): Mansfield Desoto Parrish - Excellent hotel, very clean, extremely helpful staff. The complimentary Breakfast was delicious with both hot and cold items. I will reserve rooms at this hotel in the future for a family event planned for 2024.
- Myoshi (2/5): - The best thing was the guy at the front desk. He was such a sweetie, other than that Im not staying here again. Tub was dirty and moldy. The toilet had some stain on it that my persnal bleach spray couldnt remove. The bed was dirty/stained and we had to change it upon checking in. The room smelled moldy and the ac was so loud when it would start up. My book was wrinkling due to moisture in the room along with the extra blankets feeling wet. I wanted to leave early but I knew I wouldnt get a refund.
- agjones2022 (4/5): Fitness Center machines didn't work. - The elliptical and stationary bicycle machines were impossible to use. On the lowest resistance settings it took an extraordinary amount to make them work. The resistance could not be turned down to human level. No fruit or yogurt at breakfast - just junky food.
- TERRY (2/5): - The room was not very clean, hotel staff not available, pool closed, and the environment did not feel or smell like any disinfectant was used to clean any surface. On the other hand, the breakfast area was very clean, neat, and coffee was great.
- 464sandip (4/5): Safety - Mansfield -not many options, but if you have to stay, this would be the best option. The room was clean, sheets smelled and felt fresh. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast actually good.(better than Macdonalds)

- hellen (6/5): - Property was under going repairs, sign at check-in said closed. Had an excellent rating on line, materials were in the halls, furniture in room was stained, fire sprinkler was hanging from ceiling, bathroom door wouldn’t shut, part of the lights didn’t work. Bed cover had something red on it. Certainly was not worth the amount of money we paid for it.

- mikecK794RR (10/5): Great place - Had a great stay while working in the area. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the motel was very well kept. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here anytime you in the area.
- Andres (6/5): - Breakfast was supposed to be ready @6:00 am. I waited until 6:15 am before I had to head to work and breakfast was not ready. My room was not cleaned for two days. They gave me excuses for not cleaning that didn’t make sense.
- Joan (6/5): - Lots of traffic and noise at night. Train goes by every hour. A/c unit is noisy. Not a restful night.
- Susan (8/5): A nice place to stay - A very nice hotel in an out of the way town. The property was clean, the staff kind and accommodating. The breakfast was suitable. The room was large. It’s a newer hotel.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean, but had other issues. - We have been to many hotels this year and were very disappointed with their breakfast and Handicapped parking. Breakfast is definitely not a priority for them. one day they served ham slices and bacon, but no eggs. The other 2 days these flat dry eggs. Parking… cars without handicapped parking permits were parking in the handicapped parking. Apparently those were vehicles from Oil workers. Because these workers pay for a big block of rooms, they allow them to park there. We had told the front desk clerk that we had thought about calling the police to let them know. She didn’t like that. They know it’s a problem, but sound like they are trying to figure out a solution without losing their business. Let me add there was plenty of parking so there wasn’t a valid reason for these cars to be in the handicapped parking. The Hotel had an unpleasant smell when we first walled in, but our room including the carpet felt clean. The smell went away the next day not sure if it was because we got used to it.
- Mobile28091447127 (8/5): Hotel on a hill - Fantastic little hotel, that has made a lot of meaningful improvements over the last couple of years. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. They have a few new upgrades in the process, so expect a few workers being busy, but progress is a good thing.
- Melanie (6/5): - Very noisy at night with being right by that gas station but I didn't expect much for being in Mansfield!! Staff was great and friendly but rooms needs some improvements, outlet didn't work in the bathroom and we got upgraded to a handicap room because they were soo full/overbooked, which to me was not an upgrade!!
- Carol (10/5): - The staff were really friendly and helpful.We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. I would recommend this hotel.
