Guest Reviews
- Yvette (2/5): - Dirty pool, fitness center not working. WiFi slow
- R9505EHmarcow (10/5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff was friendly and genuinely helpful, and my room was spotless and cozy. Every little detail felt thoughtfully considered, making my stay feel more personal than your typical hotel experience.
I especially appreciated how peaceful and comfortable everything was—it felt like a true escape. Whether it was the quiet nights, the comfy bed, or just the overall vibe, I left feeling recharged and already planning my return.
This place is a gem, plain and simple. I’m so glad I gave it a try.
- X1796YQjulieb (2/5): 🪳🪳🪳Bed Bugs🪳🪳🪳 - This hotel was infested with bed bugs and filthy. The staff was extremely difficult to deal with in handling this matter and refused a refund when we had to check out. The conditions of this hotel are unacceptable. It is unfortunate as there aren’t many options in this area. Fortunately found a nice Airbnb nearby that could accommodate us.
- Regena (6/5): Ridiculous Prices!!! - The Hotel was clean and comfortable but way to expensive for the area. Ridiculous prices!!!!
- Charles (6/5): Pleasant -
- shaquilleo305 (2/5): Nightmare hotel - The breakfast is terrible. The bread is stale the omelets and sausage sticks are scary looking, the put the milk holder in the fridge but don’t have any milk in them, they put out stuff for waffles but no waffle batter, coffee is distrusting, rooms are small and room service comes a day late and won’t leave till you open the door
- Jody (8/5): - It was very good next to a convenient store and staff where very nice limited rooms but amazing over all
- Barbara (10/5): - Staff and manager very helpful and friendly.
- Nancy (6/5): - M
- victor (10/5): - Nice
- Laura (2/5): - Check in was fine however the staff didn’t say when breakfast was , when check out was, how to access the pool , etc.The only thing she said was where the elevator was.and had to ring the bell each time- we put out the do not disturb sign on the door. When we arrived back late that night the floor was wet.- thinking there was a water leak. Nope -it had been professionally cleaned. My card was charged prior to checkout. Complained to manager. Company had I day to clean. No notice of any kind on the door. No discount given even though our bags were wet and one of my kids has an allergy to cleaning chemicals which I mentioned to staff. This place has 0 customer service. I stared strongly how unhappy I was and how it’s poor business practice to not inform customers of the floor being cleaned. Manager took 0 responsibility no apology, and blamed the cleaning company for not giving notice. I will never stay here again. Should have stayed at the cheaper hotel nearby. Too expensive here for the poor service. If you’re looking to stay somewhere to be close to your military loved one or friend staying at Eagle Pass, take my advice and don’t stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Service was great! We arrived put our belongings down and left. When we returned out A/C unit was leaking water continuously and wet a big part of the floor. Tried to call the front desk and the phone would not work only on speaker, but you could not hear anything. We went to talk to the front desk and they were nice to give us another room. My email stated our check out time was at noon. But an associate said that was incorrect that check out was at 11am
- 952jason (6/5): not worth the money - there are only 3 hotels here in the springs... this and one other are the only ones that are worth staying.. way overpriced for what you get my room had a boroken coffee table that they did not repair.
- Juan (2/5): - Broken elevator. Stains all over the room . Awful breakfast .over priced .
- Andrew (2/5): Very poor -
- Melinda (8/5): - There was no water on the first night. But a/c was cold
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good, it was a nice hotel. I enjoyed my stay........
- dharper378 (6/5): The "average" rating is very generous - I would recommend checking out other hotels. The bed was comfy and the rooms were decently clean. Other than that, they don't offer much. They seem to have a very lackluster attitude towards there guest and seem more concerned with cost cutting than providing services. I mean their nightly room rate was higher than the Best Western online rate. So, If you are going to stay at this property, definitely book it through Best Western's online page.
- aroby48 (10/5): Family - Totally a pleasant experience we went because my cousin was put on hospice so not having to worry about our stay was a blessing for all of us for including our small dog and my handicapped brother. Thank you
- Texan82 (4/5): Not up to par - I'm typically iffy about Best Westerns, but this one had good reviews and looked fairly new. I should have trusted my judgement. Many of the lights in the lobby and hallways and my room were either out or flickering. The room smelled like mildew. The iron was broken and leaked all over. Service was very friendly though.
- William (6/5): - The rooms and hallways were very dark. Because of COVID, we couldn't use the pool or workout room. I feel like we should've gotten a discount. We also tried to get breakfast in the morning, but there wasn't anyone at the front desk to help us. We wound up going out for tacos.
- Brandi (8/5): - The remote to my Tv did not work. The ice machines in the entire hotel were not working... I was provided ice, but it was an inconvenience. I understand with COVID breakfast is limited, but the selection offered for “pick-up” was sparse. These are all small things, but I will choose a different hotel in the future to avoid the inconvenience.
- Tina (4/5): - I stayed 3 night and the first 2 night nobody was in the front seat I waited in front for 1 hr and nobody was there then I left across the street to get something to eat and still nobody was there then finally someone came and helped me then we couldn’t use the pool there was no breakfast the lady that was there in the mornings she was very nice and helpful but the night shift there never there besides that the staff was good the hotel is good I stayed there before this is the first time it happens to me the this hotel is very good and nice
- Karla (10/5): Awesome - Great place to stay! Very clean and everyone was so nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was awesome, everithing was really clean, thanks for that
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved that it was quite ans clean however the water heater needs improvement
- P410PTerikam (2/5): Bedbugs - I stayed at the Bestwestern Plus in Carrizo Springs, Tx on 02/13/2020-02/14/2020 for business. When I arrived, the two front desk people were talking about how cheap the owner is because he wants to recycle pretty much everything. They said he was a penny pincher and so they were putting stickers to reuse the card key holders. I tell them my company is tax exempt and they claim they don’t do that. I told them all the hotels we stay at honor it. He then says they don’t have the forms. Fine, I’ll print one out. Anyway, I’m in bed....working on my laptop when I start scratching my arm. Then I begin to scratch my other arm. My ankles start itching too. I now have welts where I was scratching. I get up and inspect the bed.....& I see bedbugs!!! I took pics of the bugs and my arms and feet. My arm even swelled up. I call the front desk and they move me downstairs at midnight. They never ask about my bites or if I need anything. Mind you, I have to be up early for a class that I’m teaching. They said they were going to move everyone on that floor to ensure no one is affected. Apparently, they were never moved because I could hear people up stairs. Poor people. The new room I’m in has stains on the bed and the bed stand was filthy. I couldn’t sleep so I went to stay in my company vehicle but it was too cold so that didn’t last long. I went back to my room and slept sitting up on the chair at the desk. In the morning the front desk person tells me he can’t check me out because he has to wait for management to see how they want to handle the situation and that they would call me later during the day. Zack, the supervisor, calls me and says he’s sorry for a bad night and instead of a 10% discount, the company gets 15%. I tell him to take it up with my company because they are the ones paying for my room. I have my supervisor call him and he tells her there was nothing in the room. I have the pics! He then says he can do a 50% discount. It just had me thinking, if Zack the supervisor is as cheap as his employees say, I’m sure they don’t take their time to clean the rooms properly. I couldn’t even eat there because who knows what else he reuses to save a penny, I just wanted to leave. Never again will I stay at the Bestwestern Plus in Carrizo, Tx. I attached a few pics of the bedbugs and the bites on my arms and the stains on the sheets. Yet the supervisor Zack denied there was anything there. I also made sure to report them to the Texas Department of State Health Services since they don’t want to own up to it which also tells me they don’t care about their customers much less taking care of the issue. Please spread the word and don’t ever stay at:

- Verified traveler (6/5): Reservation not delivered - I paid through Hotels.com but there was no reservation.
They say there was no email for the hotel so Hotels.com didn’t send it then the BW wouldn’t take phone confirm so I had to pay the hotel directly. If you offer a hotel on your site get your crap together. This is not the first time I’ve had issues.
- 267marciap (10/5): Clean and comfortable stay - Clean and comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. Nice amenities for a small town. Nice pool area with cabana and grill to cook out. Next to corner store gas station for quick snacks and located in front of Mexican restaurant.
- Relax35695512497 (10/5): Home away from Home - It always a pleasant stay. Warm breakfast fast check in an out, place is always clean ,rooms are spacious you can always count on getting a great night sleep. Staff is always friendly and very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pet friendly + pool= perfect for us! - This was the second time we have stayed here and would be my choice to stay at again. My husband was working in the area, so this was perfect hotel for us to stay at while visiting him. We can bring our little dog and the kids can play in the pool. One of the few hotels in this area that has a pool and is pet friendly!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ,Staff very friendly, excellent breakfast, clean rooms
- USAtraveler0019 (10/5): Almost like being at home. - Great place to stay! Maria makes a home cooked breakfast everyday except Sunday. Nothing thawed out here, made fresh daily. She is a great cook!
Made a repair request before leaving for work regarding a slow drain. When I got back from work that night, it was fixed!
Great customer service, clean rooms, well maintained, good location. I will stay here again.
- eloisas145 (10/5): Quick Trip - We were able to get an early check in. Front desk was friendly, room was clean and hotel was in great condition. We'r experienced a minor issue with the AC but we were able to reset it. Beds were amazing! Overall value for price is was well above our expectations. Will definitely try to book this hotel, when we're in town, moving forward.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Breakfast was good, customer service was excellent.
- marybel89 (10/5): Front Desk was very helpful - Checking in front desk Carolina was very helpful she was very nice she explained to us the detail of what hotel offered. The room was clean and cozy walking into the hotel was clean and also room was nice and clean. We sure will be coming back to stay at this hotel. I love excellent service walking into the hotel.
- ejjp2019 (10/5): Clean rooms, Friendly staff, Wonderful breakfast! - I spent a week at this location. The room was well kept, the hotel clean. The gym includes a nautilus style weight machine which is a nice addition to the cardio options. There is a basic outdoor pool which is nice for this warm location. Front desk staff (San Juan) was very helpful accomodating me and making local restaurant recommendations. The best part though has been the breakfast! Juan Ramirez, the breakfast cook makes his own salsa and pico de gallo from scratch to complement the tex mex offerings as well as the typical waffles, toast, yogurt, etc. Juan has made something new every morning which is a great way to start my day. Traveling for work I have seen it all and this has been BY FAR the best included hotel breakfast I have ever had. I would come back to this hotel just for the breakfast!
- alphawolfie (10/5): great hotel - Check in was friendly and helpful. Night clerk was very helpful. We had a large room with plenty of towels. There were 2 TV's but the service was out the next morning. Breakfast was very early as this hotel caters to the oil industry. Breakfast was varied and good. Newer hotel.
- 320jerryc (10/5): Best value in town - The room was very clean and quiet. Access to the parking lot is form a street off the main highway, at a traffic light. The other locations at this end of town are off the main highway, which mean you have to almost stop on the highway to enter their parking los.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Way overpriced for what it is. A scam .... simply ..
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We had a very nice room at a fair price. Beds were comfortable. We only stayed one night. Breakfast was a disappointment. We much prefer a traditional breakfast. Too much mexican flair for us.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They could not find the room we had paid for on Expedia. We had to pay for an additional room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - They did not give me a receipt
- Robuilt (10/5): The hotel is great but the breakfast is where its at! - The hotel is what you expect when you rent a room. Clean, comfortable, updated and relaxing. I have no issues what so ever with the room. But the thing that would bring me back to this particular spot is the breakfast! Ms. Sally and Ms. McKenzie cook up a great breakfast. Its not the standard "Texas Waffle" and eggs (although they are available) but they go out of their way to cook up some good authentic South Texas food. No reheated breakfast meals here! Thank you for the attention to detail with a great breakfast
- Cheistina (6/5): - Hotel was not very clean. Our room had a few issues... a burned out light in bathroom, exhaust fan did not work in bathroom, a/c was very loud with a broken loud noise that would not stop. Breakfast was awe full ... no eggs, cold, and old breakfast choices.
- Marcus (6/5): Toilet not working - Drive 8 hours from Louisiana only for toilet in my room not flushing. Tired to use phone to call front desk, phone did not work. Went to front desk, they handed me a plunger. Beds were comfortable, location is great!
- T9313WWbarbarah (10/5): Barbara Hallmark. - OMG! Stay here if for no other reason than the breakfast. Sally makes everything fresh and with love. No powdered eggs here. Large selection and very tasty. Room was large and comfy. Bathroom clean. Staff was friendly and helpful but you must start your day right with Sally. She is beyond amazing.
- 309DebbieW (4/5): Not best stay - If you are handicap or unable to climb stairs - elevators was broken during our stay. Lighting was awful in the room and in the dining/breakfast area. Good thing I had other family to assist with suitcases
- I6203CFroberts (10/5): Breakfast made with Love! - I rated this hotel 5 stars. A room is a room and a bed is a bed, as long as they’re clean that’s acceptable. One thing that takes any business beyond acceptable into the exceptional category is customer service. All hotel service was super friendly and helpful. One thing that really stuck out to me was the breakfast. Each morning there’s a fresh selection of options of your choosing. However, everything seems to be home made and prepared differently then any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Even the eggs were delicious and I’m not a huge fan of eggs, let alone eggs from a hotel breakfast. These weren’t your ordinary eggs out of a box other places tend to serve, they were just cracked and mixed with fresh vegetables and meats. Not to mention they had an amazing chorizo the day before! That’s one way to keep your customers coming. Thanks Best Western Corrizo Springs for such hospitality and customer service!
- A&l (8/5): Hotel experience - Good experience . Hotel had no cable but that wasnt to much of a problem since i wasnt going to be there all day. Good breakfast and room service was great as well.
- David (2/5): I would give this place a miss. - From a cockroache in the room and dust an inch thick on a chair this failed to live up to expectations. The breakfast was very poor dried up egg mush and sausages swimming in grease. We are into our 3rd week of a road trip and this hotel is at the bottom of list so far. It was noticeable that the staff never enquied on our stay when we checked out.
- Jennifer (8/5): Ok stay - Staff was very friendly. Hotel was new/updated. The hallway carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The hotel room walls and headboard had a few stains here and there but not bad enough to make me want to move rooms. Overall our stay was okay.
- Christopher (10/5): Best in Carrizo Springs. - The staff here were very friendly and helpful. I’m extremely picky when it come to hotels and I’d stay here again for sure.
- Samuel (8/5): good stay just to sleep - good stay a little not very well lit could use more bright lighting to make more inviting and safe for families seemed dull
- susan (4/5): hotel close to my property - I have stayed here before with no issues. However this time I had multiple ones. My air didn't work so I reported it. I was told that I could switch rooms. I said please. It was 90 something degrees outside. So the guy asked if he needed to bring me a new room key. "Uh yeah". I asked if he could bring a cart when he came. He came to my room with 1 card key and I had 2 with the previous room and there was no cart. I asked where is my cart. His response "You needed a cart". "Uh yeah". So he brings back a cart and turns around and walks off. Didn't offer to help or anything. In a few minutes I had a knock on my door and it was the maid. She brought some things I had left in my old room. And she said that there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning, that it was something to do with the cord. I told her it would have been very nice if someone would have just come and checked it, then I wouldn't have had to changed rooms. She said "oh we don't have any maintenance people. I stayed there 2 days. I had to go to the front desk to get them to rekey my room key multiple times with both keys. The lady who worked the desk in the early part of the day was very nice and professional. I'm not sure what was going on with this stay but it has never been like this before. I will use this hotel again, but if I have issues like this next time, then I will be using one of the hotels nearby. I plan on making 2-4 trips per year to see about my property I have in Carrizo Springs.
- amber (8/5): Nice hotel close to restaurants and shopping - Hotel was nice and clean upon arrival. Stayed 2 nights when we got back to hotel after shopping and eating I had to tell front seat to give us clean linens
- sharlene (4/5): Not to happy - No bulbs in bathrooms, no towels and not to clean! Also at check explained situation to csr rep she no worries! Upon check out you will be refunded. Now I am told I will not be for the extra day I was charged!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Issue with room key - After checking in, I was informed that the key machine was not working. I was never issued a key but had someone from the front desk open my room door each time I needed in.
I don’t know if this is legal. I am requesting to get reimbursed for my stay.

- Kevin (6/5): - Sheets were not changed daily. Room was not cleaned two days in a row.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was comfortable there was no extra toilet paper, and it looked like the bathroom was used and the window was cracked and broken. The desk clerk said it was sealed but clearly wasnt
- Bianca (10/5): - I had a very decent stay.
- CLC (10/5): - Good experience! Definitely guests on all different schedules being in an oilfield area but that's not the hotels problem, it just comes with the territory. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to our check in and out needs. Clarissa is the sweetest and super helpful!!!
- Richard (10/5): Bud - Good stay but not happy the rates went up ....
- Jose (8/5): - Good place to stay
- Juan (10/5): - Good
- Carlos (10/5): Nice experience - Awesome the lobby Lady Rally excelent Customer Service se love her
- Joanna (10/5): - The Staff have really great customer service and the room was really comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was ok, the beds were not the size that they said they were.
- BEST WESTERN PLUS (10/5): greeat time - nice
- J (8/5): - This is a hotel for oil field workers. The elevator smelled like men coming in from a day's work and had dirt on it's floor. One of the room doors, not mine, had a makeshift patch on it. The build quality for some parts of the hotel looked cheap, e.g. the room doors, but other parts like the bathrooms were very nice. The A/C was very cold and worked wonderfully for the 100+ degree days we were there. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast which had tamales as one of the options. The coffee was really weak, though, probably a result of the coffee machine they were using. The cleaning person left a note on our unmade beds stating they couldn't make the beds because we had left personal items on them. The personal items were a child's blanket and pillow, and a shawl. Considering the other hotel options in Carrizo Springs, this is one of the better ones I've stayed at.
- Felipe (8/5): nice and comfortable - other than the ice machine being broken on my floor it was a good stay
- patrick (10/5): Nice hotel - Veru nice staff great breakfast rooms were very clean and spacious
- Verified traveler (6/5): Review of Best Western in Carrizo Springs - Breakfast was terrible. They cater to the oil field workers.
