Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (4/5): - Limited hot water if any and shower had no pressure. After night 2 they fixed by changing the shower head. Cockroaches seen at breakfaat would recommend place be aprayed Staff is very warm and accommodating. Beds were comft.
- Manuel (10/5): - Totally appreciated the Professionalism of the staff.
The cleaniness of the room
- Jean Theodule (6/5): - J'y resterai une prochaine fois en cas de besoin.
- Daniel (10/5): - Everything was very okay, and I really do appreciate
- Richard (10/5): - Food
- Gabrielle (8/5): - It was mostly great with the exception of the loud noises from neighboring rooms.
- Jessy (4/5): - I really appreciated the staff they were very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is excellent. Unfortunately, my stay was affected by the constant noise at night. The frogs croaked nonstop, which made it very hard to sleep. I understand that rain attracts frogs, but it really doesn’t make for a comfortable hotel environment.
As for the breakfast, I think it they should remove complimentary breakfast considering the quality. What was offered felt very poorly thought out, and honestly, I would have preferred to go out and buy my own breakfast instead.
Overall, great staff and location, but the noise and breakfast quality left a lot to be desired.
- Elmena (8/5): - I stayed here many, many years ago! This hotel has pleasantly been renovated and improved. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my stay for 2 nights and will use it again.
- Ethan (10/5): - Best part of downtown Nassau
- Douvince (10/5): - good
- Tinashe (8/5): - Pretty good. The workers are very welcoming and friendly.
- Jason (8/5): - I was there July 30th to August 2nd. Staff definitely was wonderful my room sheets and towels were always washed when asked. Breakfast options could be better but it was alright. Front desk staff remembered who I was everything I walked in, only thing If you come in really late the front door is locked and I had trouble when nobody was there to open the door. It’s really in a good place.
- bornet (10/5): - Only thing I did it like the parking was not there
- Willy (10/5): - Staff is super friendly and helpful. Feels like home.
- Mark (8/5): - Good stay
- Yuki (10/5): - Good trip!
- megan (10/5): - One of ur favorite places to stay in Nassau!
- divingkatie (8/5): In the Heart of Downtown - This hotel is very old and not fancy, but it is unique and has a lot of character. The room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was sufficient, and the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. Located in the heart of downtown Nassau, it was the perfect location for what I needed. They could consider adding a few more items to the breakfast selection.
- Kathleen (8/5): - This hotel is very old and not fancy, but it is unique and has a lot of character. The room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was sufficient, and the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. It is in the heart of downtown Nassau, and the perfect location for what I needed.
- Daunte (10/5): - Good people work here. One of the housekeepers (Yvonne) was sweet as pie!!! Turns out she knew an auntie of mine!!!! Small world!!!!!
- Latarvia (10/5): - I adore this property, loved talking to Max the parrot. I would definitely stay here again. It’s located literally right in town. So you don’t have to constantly pay for taxi or even rent a car. Keep in mind I HATE walking.
- Shannon (6/5): The REAL lowdown - Okay. Here's the lowdown: for the price they are asking, this hotel is decent. Nassau is very expensive and this is a clean option and is in a convenient location in downtown.
The first room that they gave us, the door did not lock and the air conditioner did not work. But they quickly changed our room to a much more spacious one on the third floor. The employees are not warm but they will provide assistance.
The bed linens and towels were clean. Water leaked from the taps in the shower and the hotel is dated. But it's a safe and clean option for people on a budget.
- Bonievive (6/5): - easy
- Felix M (10/5): - Barato y bueno, atención de 10
- Brad (6/5): - for the price it's ok
- Dalton (8/5): - Always a great stay
- elyn (10/5): - Comfortable I sleep too much
- Alejandro (2/5): - I had to stay here for 4 days out of necessity, whether it was day or night you will find cockroaches all over the room, the second day when I was about to walk to my room (the last one in the hallway) there were 3 rats right outside my room. I went to the front desk and he mockingly asked him, "Are you afraid of rats?" Yes, they were the size of a rabbit, I answered. That's not the point. These types of animals transmit serious diseases to humans. I don't think anyone deserves to sleep in a room like that, much less if you pay $130 a day. Not to mention the breakfast they give you: 12 overcooked eggs, black coffee, a few slices of cheddar cheese, and 5 slices of bread for the entire hotel. This is disrespectful. This hotel should close now
- ASMITHE (10/5): - wonderful stay
- Vianeiry (6/5): - Beds are very uncomfortable
- Julianne (4/5): - This properly need a lot of work. The ceiling was leaking water. I saw a huge rat. The food that they serve has no taste. The bed was hard as rock. It was not what I expected when I booked this hotel the pictures look so nice but when I got there, it look like a rundown motel.
- Jakub (6/5): - Cheapest in the area. Great location. Clean beds.
- Jennifer (6/5): - So I liked the parrot but maybe you could add a little bit more breakfast for the buffet.
- Alexander (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay there
- PRAKASHKUMAR (8/5): - nice
- Kirstyn (8/5): - Nice service, helped me with what I needed. Good place overall.
- Barbara (6/5): Affordable, not fancy - It was affordable and so centrally located for walking around downtown. However, it was very loud at night due to only window leavers so heard all kinds of noises outside. And no hot water in the shower. Great happy hour at the bar!
- Anuja (10/5): - It's like a historical place
- Michael (8/5): - Convenient, clean property, close to the Cruise Ship port, but far enough away to avoid excessive noise and crowds. Pleasant staff and a continental breakfast included. Good value.
- James (6/5): - Temperature control was lacking, too breezy. Stairs were difficult for older folks. Breakfast was late, but good.
- Chantal (2/5): - Hotel outdated
- Nalanie (8/5): - My stay was nice i enjoyed it the staff was very pleasant and has good customer service.
- Lillian (10/5): - Staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautifully decorated, I wanted to go shopping! I will stay there again!
- Timothy (10/5): - Great place to stay for junkanoo
- Keith (6/5): - Only problem we had was pool was empty and we were not told till arrival
- Georgette (8/5): - I love the staff that work they nice and friendly. And very helpful
- Bryan (6/5): Bahama Birthday - The location was excellent to everything we wanted to do. Service was good and everyone was friendly. They lacked enough electrical outlets and the breakfast could be better.
- Yulia (8/5): - Nice and cozy place.
- Cinzia (2/5): - Furniture broken
Windows are no possible to close well
Noise from out side
Guys had party in the swimming pool from 8pm till 4 am o’clock the person on desk doesn’t saying nothing
- Vance (10/5): - Walkable to everything right there in Downtown area.
- Cheryl (6/5): - You really need to upgrade your pillows. My throw cushions on my couch are bigger
- Gisela (10/5): - Older hotel in downtown area with a nice outdoor pool. Staff was extremely friendly and Max the bird was entertaining. Restaurant in hotel is a plus especially since everything around closes early.
- joecD7850OE (10/5): Tender Lamb, Clean Rooms - The rooms are clean, and the Chef's curry lamb was tender and delious. It's location is great with a short walk to all the down town shopping. I stayed here before my dive trip and can't wait to come back and explore Nassau properly with the rest of the family.
- Randy (8/5): Interesting and pleasant stay - Unique and friendly vintage hotel. Downtown location. Walking distance to shops, beaches, restaurants, rum, distillery. Very good service from all staff. Adequate breakfast included. The room could use more electrical outlets. Our suite included a microwave and a refrigerator which worked no problem. Enjoyed the balcony very much. Things were a little bit worn. Shower head. That was not great. Beds were nice. And pillows. Plentiful.
- kevin (2/5): - rooms out dated bathrooms small no room service
- Michelle (6/5): - No elevator
- GLENN (4/5): - The water at best was barely warm in bathroom. You can feel springs in the beds. The handles on some drawers were broken. The bottom of the drawers were broken. Had to use two remotes to work TV. Musty smell in room
- tim (4/5): - It's hard to write a bad review because people were nice. But you can't sleep here. First night a concert one block away until 3:30 AM. Every other night it was the paper thin walls with no sound proofing you can literally hold a conversation with people outside you room. It's awful. Breakfast was fine basically toast, a frozen muffin, orange slices and salami hard boiled eggs. We stayed here because it's close to everything and across from the tourism office. Also heard it was owned by Bahamian family. But man put some effort in and this could be such a cool place
- Sacha (8/5): - Convenient
- john (10/5): - Nice property
- Syreeta (10/5): - The staff were awesome and very nice kept the hotel clean and the food was amazing
- Craig (2/5): - They were busy with renovations and banging in the room next to us early on a Sunday morning and the staff didnt seem to worry one bit even when I brought it to their attention that its a Sunday and wanted to sleep and relax
- Grace (10/5): - My wife and I enjoyed the stay. The hotel staff were nice and the food was amazing.
- Sharon (8/5): - The Bird. No really the whole staff tried to accomodate all your needs and after working all year I appreciated that. Be back next year
- Kimani (8/5): - The property has a uniqueness to it. I honestly love the parrot Mike and also the staff is extremely present. I wish thou they would have placed a small fridge in each room. That woukd make the stay a bit more comfortable.
- Dr. (6/5): - The location is great and staff is great especially the manager. But property lacks the basic amenities such as no shampoo or conditioner or body wash, zero water bottles or coffee maker in the room. There needs to be pest control in the property, basically it’s a bed and breakfast and not hotel. The sockets are very old. No socket in the washroom to insert dryer or shaver. The staff is hospitable but property really needs TLC.
- Norma (4/5): - I liked that it was in a good spot. Walking to places was easy
- IRMA (10/5): - The staff is very friendy, kind and helpful. The breakfast is nice, and I love the fact the hotel is close to the Catholic Cathedral, shops, restaurants, bus stop, museums and other tourist sites.
No hot hotel to bathe...it did not work in the room I was.
- jorge (10/5): - The property is good, room is simply decorated and has a refrigerator. It hasa small pool and a good restaurant. A continental breakfast is included.
- Tabitha (10/5): - Everyone was very nice.
- Teddra (6/5): - No hot water
- Dexter (6/5): - No hot water to take a shower
- Ruth (8/5): Older inexpensive hotel in downtown Nassau - Definitely an older hotel, but very clean and friendly staff. There wete limited outlets for charging devices. The room we had was rather small, but the dood was good.
- Gerald (6/5): Some value for the price - It would be greatly appreciated if the low-budget hotel could be upgraded. It is quite inconvenient to have to wait to be buzzed in when the door is locked, and the lack of an elevator is also a hindrance.
- jean (8/5): - Good services
- Herlande (6/5): - It was a good stay looks really nice but if you’re more into luxury etc thats not the place to be
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice enough room, but faulty shower. - The room was clean and big enough for my needs. One major problem was discovered when I tried to take a shower before checking out. The knobs to adjust the water flow, essentially the hot water, did not work properly. This prevented me from taking a much anticipated shower before continuing my trip. It was detected too late to get fixed before I checked out.
- bradley (10/5): - It has always been my second home
- Timothy (10/5): - Cheap place to stay with decent happy hour. Room was clean and smelled of disinfectant. Close to downtown so it f you need a cheap place to overnight.
- Pamela (8/5): - The staff are exceptional. The last few times I have been there the water did not get hot in the showers, only lukewarm. Some rooms need detailed cleaning. Slow season is a good time to work on that.
- Shayvon (6/5): - Overall very clean but rooms need to be upgraded
Plumbing old. Water heater took some time to heat. Doorknob was not working. Difficult to get out of the room
- Roy (4/5): - They heat up my food in the microwave cause I didn’t buy food from them I never see hotels do that I am customer how u could treat customer like that but I love the staff they helpful they told the owner don’t want they to microwave to heat up guests food
- Pablo (8/5): - The apperance of the Door security looks like old
- Brian (8/5): - Perfect location for the Buisiness i was doing ,everything close by . The food and bar is very good . Staff friendly and very helpful. Owners are great as well .
- Mark (4/5): - Poor plumbing, using trash can/bucket to flush toilets for 2 days.
- Theo (10/5): - Perfect, with a swimming pool when it’s to hot, everything great, near the beach
- Naomi (2/5): - This was my first time here and needed to extend to a day but changed my mind because of the condition. Toilet keeps clogging, limited hot water always cold, clogged sink, half a roll of toilet paper with no extra, very old, the breakfast same each day. Muffin, cheese boiled eggs bread salami and orange tang.
I checked out and went to a different hotel.
- Jefferson (8/5): - Nice place. Not fancy, but the restaurant and bar was nice. Good food. Most of the nearby restaurants seem to close after the cruise ship leaves. Nice staff who work there. I would go back
- Love Michaelle (8/5): - Everything was great ,especially the lady who cooked breakfast in the kitchen and also the housekeeping lady.
- edna (6/5): - Very quite and close to downtown perfect for walking. And getting around town .
- leelJ7504BR (2/5): DIRTY HOTEL NOT WORTH THE RATE, PER NIGHT! - Dated, rancid, filthy, and an overt eye soar. Shame on the inspectors for NOT doing their jobs. Clearly, if they did, there is no way that this place would still be allowed to do business, in such a terrible condition of their hotel rooms. Shame on the owners for being so greedy! Place seems to have missed the boat for any renovations. There is clearly no value placed on guest satisfaction!! Everything is falling apart in this nasty hotel motel. The food tastes stale and has a weird smell..... including breakfast or anything you order from their menu. Are the blackened spots, or areas within the shower, mole spores?
- Ernie (6/5): - Parking
- Reneld (2/5): - Pool dirty green allergy iside the water, roaches, mouse, all over, unsafe place for people to stay, health département need to stop by,to check the condition of that place.flies all around when people eating food inside this place.
- Charmaine Gregory (4/5): - Very displeased at the appearance of room and furnitures.Pls bear in mind that to treat others the way you like to be treated. I am used to my nice home and furnitures. my carribean nationality should not defined. Lastly, a huge roach the big one scared the heck out of me, I know these are in the Carribean but upkeep rooms, my 40 yrs in Canada I have never seen these and expect a nice clean room. I checked out the next day. Pls upgrade your property. One plus, staff were ok.
- Terrie (6/5): - The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Love that it is just a short walk to the US Embassy.
- Danielle (10/5): - This property is exactly what it advertises: its a locally owned, small island hotel. Its dated, but the staff is invested and lovely. We have stayed here before and will stay again for a night or two. Also close to downtown.
- Andrea (2/5): - No Elevators! All rooms are on upper floors. Cluttered decor, very outdated and old rooms. Beds sweaty and uncomfortable. Musky corridors, poor A/C condition, not enough room security. I would not revisit.
- shiva (6/5): - Familiar environment!!!
- Aleena (8/5): - Cockroaches in bathroom when I Arrived. Charged more than I expected like 10,15$. walls were too thin-i could hear the music at night from down the road till 2pm. the breakfast in morning didnt have enough vegeterian option for my friend. the pool didnt look clean enough nor the parrot stand in lobby. the wifi situation is somewhat annpying. you have to login to many different witi for each floor/area/room. fridge had water all over jt.the positives were that i mwt some indian people there, i loved rhe art in the premise. i walkee to graycliff frim there wherr you can see the chocolate fsctory and s nicr souvenir shop. i didnt have chance or time to go to the pirates museum. hillside house didnt have an exhibit. the national gallery had a pop up but didnt attend. oh and the water from shower also ended up on bathroom floor so my friend had to clean that up. it was supposed to be $160 and i got charged ~$179
- Ramanathan (10/5): - Very quaint well maintained
